Gardens and the pool are beautiful. Check in at the reception was excellent, the guy there was very friendly and provided us a lot of useful information.
The check out process, as many hotels or other places you leave an amount of money as deposit for incidents. So the lady at the reception was a bit weirder, I got the impression she wanted to find something bad at the room to keep the deposit. Asking the cleaning lady to check the room, it was an uncomfortable situation, wasting my time with some old and worn out bed sheets, at the end I got it back. I bit disappointing such incident, spoiling our great time there. Perhaps I won’t get the chain again. Cm
Position, pleasant rooms, nice staff
Pool area felt scruffy, and the surrounding pool cafe facilities was very average
The room is spacious and offers a lovely ocean view, and the maid provides daily cleaning and tidying services.
The kitchen amenities are somewhat limited, featuring one pot and one pan without lids, along with two sets of dishes and small bowls. Please note that salt and black pepper are not provided in the room. There is no ice maker, and the refrigerator is smaller compared to those found in other hotels I have previously rented, which offered more comprehensive kitchen provisions. Additionally, there is no dedicated makeup desk, necessitating the use of the bathroom mirror, which offers limited space around the sink. The couch faces the wall towards the jungle; if you switch sides with the kitchen, you will have a better view of the ocean.
The room was amazing. The staff were also amazingly helpful and kind. View is outstanding - really really beautiful. The location is perfect, so close to the beach. Loved it!
It is low season but the service at the pool was a little un attentive. The only other thing is the wifi - we had to work two days that we were there and the wifi was really weak.
Excellent location, great pool, friendly staff, spacious rooms!
Awesome location. Very walkable. Close to entertainment, bars, restaurants, and shopping, but removed enough that it was very quiet at night. The massage therapist Tamara is also incredible!
Cleaning staff cleaned too much, to the point where I couldn’t find several personal items on multiple occasions. My used underwear had been moved and that felt a bit violating.
We ate off site.
Awesome staff and location. Pool was amazing, pretty much everything was great! We had an enormous suite and big kitchen space. Each room had its own bath. Really nice.
The property was exceptionally great!
I loved everything!!
This Hotel was everything it said it would be. It was across the road from the beach with stunning views of the beach and surrounds from the pool deck. The pool was great and bar and menus was excellent. staff at the front desk went out of their way to help you. Great position.
Surpassed my expectations
Not enough drinking water
Beautiful property. Nice pool. Great location.
Everything was wonderful. I thought the poolwater was too warm but my wife loved it. Sorry. Couldn’t come up with something else I didn’t like. They don’t let anybody in if you’re not a paying guest. Keep that in mind if you want to invite someone over. They offer a day-pass though.
Our four-day stay at Hotel Ysuri was absolutely wonderful. The hospitality here is top-tier; the staff greeted us warmly with a smile every morning, afternoon, and evening. A special shoutout to Erik and NiFa at the front desk, who were always available to ensure our needs were met and provided invaluable local knowledge and insider tips about the area. The location is perfect for food lovers—the hotel is surrounded by incredible dining options. We ate out for four days straight and never had to repeat a single restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sayulita!
This property is breathtaking, the pool it’s incredible, very secure and private only guest can have access to the hotel, they have a code at the entrance door so for us it was a plus, we felt so safe our entire stay, the stag was very attentive to all your needs, walking distance from town, and steps away from the beach, across the street there is this beautiful restaurant where you can eat right on the beach, book your room on this site because if you do it on their site or on the property it’s more expensive
We loved everything
Close to the beach.
We thought we booked a room with a balcony jacuzzi, but that’s not what we got. We were willing to pay a little more, but the property wanted $100 a night more, even though the price difference on booking is $20 a night more. The internet never worked in our room. The hotel is not actually on the beach; it’s located on a busy and somewhat dangerous (traffic wise) road. It’s a bit of a walk to get to anything in town. One of the room cleaners was very rude, but the other one was very nice. There was a guy with a leaf blower or broom constantly making noise right in front of our slider. Good at the pool was overpriced and not very good. The facilities were nice, but there are better deals elsewhere.
The location was perfect!
Staff, check in, all was excellent
Excellent location- quiet for Sayulita. Generally excellent service. Nice rooms
Room wasn't ready at checkin time, even though occupancy was fairly low. A/C didn't work- this may have been related to the fact that power in the area was very low voltage when I arrived. However, even after power returned to normal, the a/c still didn't work
I loved being on the edge of town, making it easy to get to restaurants/bars, but it was also quiet as it was far enough away that we couldn't hear loud parties/revellers. The breakfast/restaurant across the street served wonderful food. Loved the coffee offered in the room, that made all the difference in the world!
Our shower didn't drain, so that was a bit of a nuisance. Mostly - asking for a taxi to get to our next hotel was the biggest issue. We were left waiting for over 30 mins, told there was only "one number" they could call...but when I called for a taxi, I got one to pick us up within 10 mins. I feel like this is a very low bar for a hotel...they should be able to contact and arrange a taxi from a variety of vendors.
The hotel was immaculate and the location is amazing. The staff were very nice. The pool is beautiful
There aren’t any lights by the beds. The hanging pendants are decorative only so it’s hard to read at night. Also no desk in the room and only one small hook in the bathroom. It’d be nice to have more places to hang wet swimsuits and towels
Cudos for the whole staff. 10 points for Nimfa and Melena. Great spot if you look for quiet and comfort.
Everything about Ysuri is perfect. The location, rooms, view, comfy bed and mostly the staff that work there. I will definitely stay at Ysuri when I return!
Very helpful, welcoming staff. My husband and I loved how close the hotel was to the towns restaurants and cafes but also was very quiet, cool and comfortable. The pool side was lovely, the balcony views stunning. The room was clean, loved to have a fridge to keep drinks and breakfast foods cool. Loved it!
The room was very clean. Had everything we needed. Super close and convenient to the pool.
the particular room was not a good location. People can see right into your room. It's on the ground floor. Higher up would be optimal. There are two steps in the room that are dangerous at night. Just be careful. The windows could use screens so we could open them at night for airflow.
Cancelled because of PVR SHUTDOWN AND CIVIL UNREST
This place is a gem and we truly loved it. It’s a home away from home where the staff make you feel like family and go above and beyond to make your stay special. Steps away from the beach and a short walk into town, or rent a golf cart & go exploring. Everyone was so nice, we didn't want to leave. We will be back!
The wifi didn't work in the garden room (back of the building), but it worked just fine in our ocean view Junior suite with the jacuzzi tub. We let the staff know so hopefully they can fix the back of the building wifi issue for future guests.
The room and the view were lovely
The WiFi never worked, the jacuzzi tub had no hot water to fill it up. If you want ice for a beverage, you need to purchase it from the bar.
The room was incredibly nice, and great location to all that Sayulita has to offer. We absolutely loved the staff, Nimfa in particular is the greatest person in the world.
I liked that it had all amenities and a great pool. Staff and service was phenomenal. Location excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Rooms are comfortable stylish.
At check in, the hotel has a list of all their bed linens, items, and especially towels* that if you soil them, they will keep that portion of the deposit. The pricing was ridiculous and quite lengthy. I gave my deposit and hoped for the best. When I saw our hand towels in the hotel room-they are falling apart. (Strings on edges etc) They are not worth the document I signed if soiled. I would recommend the hotel offer make up remover packets if they are worried about this. I’ve never had that experience before.
Hotel Ysuri is a fantastic property. The views are stunning, waking up overlooking the ocean is the best way to start any day. The jacuzzis on the decks are a great touch, & I could have swam in the waterfront infinity pool ALL day. Sayulita tends to be a bustling place, but the hotel is tucked away in the southern-most corner of the beach, so if feels like a peaceful enclave. The rooms are immaculately clean with well thought out modern & tasteful decor. Last but not at all least, the staff are phenomenal-they were so accommodating, gracious & helpful. Ours was a very memorable stay.
Great property with friendly and engaging staff.
It was in an amazing location. Right across from the beach. We were close to the town Square without being right there and transportation there was easy.
Not one thing. Everything was fantastic.
Location. Grounds. Beach bar. Jacuzzi tub on porch was amazing.
I really wish there were night stand lamps, and drawers for clothes.
The location was great. It was very close to the downtown area. It was very quiet. It was very clean.
The photos on the website are of the Penthouse and Jr Suite. "Ocean view" room (not penthouse) is actually a 3 foot peak a boo view through trees and buildings. There is NO hot tub on the property unless you upgrade to a room with a hot tub. The 'heated' pool is ice cold and was more like an ice plunge pool. The door to your room has a keypad and no deadbolt or way to lock the door or lock the keypad. So anyone with a code can come in any time. We came back several times to an unlocked door. Not sure if it was a broken keypad or something else. Patio lights strobe on and off every time ANYONE walks near the building. No way to use the patio without being blinded every couple of minutes. The safe requires opening the battery compartment on the back of the door to set a code. And if you don't close the compartment all the way the batteries fall out and the safe won't open. Have used hotel safes on six continents and have never seen a safe that works like this. No electrical outlets on one side of the room/bed so bring at least a 12 foot extension cord with you. There is a steep walkway, a lot of stairs and then a very steep sidewalk followed by more stairs to cover before getting to the elevator. The list of potential charges for soiling a towel or a sheet is ridiculously extensive and overpriced. Terrified of soiling anything in the room. I wouldn't dare open a bottle of red wine unless you're prepared to buy new linens for them. The room is doused in some scent that is absolutely nauseating. A sickly sweet perfume scent that was overwhelming in every room. If you use WIFI plan on one bar or no service at all. Every time it drops you have to re-enter all your private information and also must delete your browsing history to reset it. During our stay we left for two nights to stay elsewhere because the volume of the issues noted was overwhelming.
Beautiful view. Nice pool and bar. We liked that we could rent golf cart right at the hotel
The stairs are so high and no rails to hold onto for seniors or disability people
Great location. Very clean room.
The only very small suggestion would be to have drinking water available for guests.
Location is wonderful, pool is nice, and staff was very attentive and helpful.
There was a strong smell from cleaning products that made it difficult to sleep the first couple of nights.
Beautiful pool area and lush, jungle like surroundings. Very spacious junior suite with terrace and jacuzzi. Optimally located only a short walk to town and the lively night scene. Baklava, the restaurant across from the hotel was convenient for breakfast and lunch. Pepe the bartender was attentive and friendly as was front desk staff.
I wish this was an adults only hotel. I got one peaceful day and night before a young couple and their 3 year old checked in two doors down from me. My luck that the only couple with screaming kid is placed so near to me. I was not the only one talking about it among the guests. There were no lamps on the nightstands so the only light was overhead lights - not nice. Fortunately I brought a book light so I could read.
First and foremost the staff is exceptional: Elias, Ninfa and Malena go above and beyond. The location is great.
The room I was in had poor sound quality - and it didn’t help to have a young child screaming at times.
This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was large and spacious. The pool could have been a little bit warmer, but we did go in the month of January. It was so peaceful. I definitely recommend this part of town, and the Jacuzzi tub on the balcony was absolutely amazing.
Desayuno bien Ubicación Excelente
Mejor equipamiento d la cocina Mejor limpieza
Excellent location. Large rooms and very chic.
Spectacular pool but no hot tub
The location was great, not too close to Boise but close enough to town.
Clean rooms plenty of great views friendly bilingual staff
Location, quiet and low key. The staff, especially Ninfa, were exceptional! Easy beach access.
Clean , quiet, comfortable, good pool, felt safe, gated entry, friendly, and inviting staff.
The website did state the pool is heated, but in fact, it is not.
To answer your question - there was no breakfast. The location of the hotel was fine - the room not so good. See the next comments. Great pool. Great staff.
The location of room 112 was the issue. Other rooms looked to be amazing. There was no privacy. Anyone going to and from or at the pool could see in. We had to keep the blinds closed. Hanging above the bed were what appeared to be light fixtures for reading etc. But they were no lights but fakes of a weird sort - they looked like they would be lights but were not.
They had a good pool and a good outlook over the beach, but that's as far as it goes.
It was advertised as Queen Room with a Garden view, it wasn't even close. See attached photos. The room had one chair, no table, no bedside light. It had a lift, after you walked 100meters up the outside stairs and paths. We had to sign a document and put down a $400 dollar deposit in case we put makeup on a pillow case. There was no hair dryer or iron as stated. The additional toilet was in the downstairs garage. The fish smell from the fishmongers in the morning prevented the beach from being used. The shower drain blocked up. We were offered an upgrade for an additional US $555. and there was also a $200 dollar fine per hour, for late checkout.
Clean and tidy

The bed was amazing! Most comfortable bed I have slept on ever!
Hotel Ysuri was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Super comfortable beds and the rooms were modern & full of amenities. The staff was amazing and always super accommodating to any of our requests. The infinity pool is everything and the pool bar serves some of the best cocktails I have ever had. Will definitely be coming back as soon as we can.
It was great peaceful quit everything was walking distance.
This place was amazing Malena, Ninfa and Manuel made sure we had the best experience they were very helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent. This hotel is beautiful and everything is walking distance. I will definitely be returning here.
Wonderful staff Beautiful view Great restaurant Quiet area
Close to center and eateries
Very dirty beach. Like a homeless camp right in front. Very foul odor. Poop dirty toilet paper on roads.
We liked the location, the pool, helpful staff, and the restaurant across the street, Sayulita is a beautiful place
Amazing stay! Spacious, comfortable, and quiet! Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops! Highly recommend!
Our stay at Hotel Ysuri exceeded our expectations. The facilities staff and pool were great. The location really couldn't have been better. We were right across and small road, from the beach and just a few blocks from downtown. The staff was super helpful in helping us navigate our stay, including assisting us in putting together travel plans to neighboring San Pancho. Nympha (sp?) was exceptionally helpful at the front desk. She made us feel like more than guests.
The only thing that might be an issue for some travelers is having to walk by the fishing portion of the beach, where the fishing boats are parked, and fish are cleaned. Gives it a true to life ocean odor. Not bad, just something that could be an issue for some.
Great location easy walk into town. Beautiful pool. The room we had the most wonderful view. The water pressure was awesome in the shower. The property was well maintained. The staff was friendly, accommodating and always looking out for your well being.
The elevator bottoms were always dirty as expected but was the only thing negative I can think of.
