Location was ideal, parking ideal, cost was fair & the lady who greeted us was lovely.
Can’t complain, ideal for our needs.

Very easy and quick
On the last day of check out I was locked out of the room before 10am. Wasn't able to switch lights and do last check although I was offered to redo card I thought it would have been Courtesy to allow us till 10am as stated. Left a slight bitter feeling. Especially when we want to attend every as the service, staff location is fantastic.
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent customer service.
Had a problem at check-in as they had no trace of my booking. Arranged stay through booking.com and I had printed confirmation. The problem was identified as an issue with the hotel computer system not receiving the booking from booking.com. For a while it looked like I would not have a room, but the hotel manager (Joy) was determined to resolve the issue and a room was provided.
clean, ample parking, good location nad value for money
Stayed here a few times now and always get the staff the same pleasant way
The price never had a room cheaper than £120 per night even though they are advertised cheaper
Comfortable and very convenient location for where I needed to be each day
Breakfast in the ajoining pub didn’t start serving till 9am which is too late when you are there for business, but that’s no fault of the hotel
We have stayed here 5or6 times now and is also great. Location great for Solihull, plenty of buses around. Also train station approximately 15 minutes walk. Train takes 15 minutes into central Birmingham
Everything and had a good pub which served food attached

The reception staff are very pleasant, polite and helpful. The facilities are very good for the price.
Shower/bathroom was a little tardy, and water nearly overflowing from shower because of inadequate drainage.
My first choice for staying in the area, great value and well-located for bus routes to Solihull and Birmingham, also X20 for Stratford-upon-Avon leaves from nearby. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. No-one is ever disappointed with this hotel. You'll have a quiet evening even though there's a public house at front. The hotel has a private entrance thereto, also good parking.
Nothing to dislike here !
Lovely welcome from the lady on reception very polite and welcoming. Would definitely stay again
Room rather too warm!

Friendly staff, polite & very informative. Room clean & comfortable.
Room could have had more pillows Coffee could have been a bit more tasty & maybe more milk but thats a personal choice.
As ever, a welcome worthy of family. Beautifully clean, well appointed. Considerate offer of fan in hot weather. Its our go to in the area.
Neighbours (the pub next door) can occasionally be a smidgy bit noisy at chuck out time, but that's being really picky.
convenience, ease of booking, friendliness of staff
nothing
Its in an excellent place for our needs, plenty of restaurants shops etc nearby
Not a dislike, but a suggestion, the shower cubicle needs a small shelf in it to put shampoo, shower gel etc. on.
As always, an excellent stay here. A good room, clean bathroom, comfy bed, easy parking and no hassles. Particularly, I'd also like to sing the praises of Joy, one of the staff there. She really is exceptional. I had a minor issue connecting to the Wi-Fi and Joy sorted it in no time. I was really impressed because she was extremely pro-active about everything and always two steps ahead of the problem with a solution and a backup solution! She also helped me arrange a late check-out that I needed and - again - just went above and beyond with it. I checked out at the time I needed to with no issues. These might sound like minor things but I've certainly stayed in hotels where both have given me insurmountable problems before. Here, they were sorted in no time by a really friendly, resourceful and helpful person. Like, I felt like she genuinely cared, which is so rare these days.
All the reception are very friendly and helpful.
The staff were amongst some of the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Fantastic service!
Unfortunately the rooms were too warm & the fans had no way of cooling down satisfactorily. Also the cleaning hadn’t done the rooms justice. Finally plug points were not always accessible by bedside.
Staff were helpful and polite as usual
I have to give the staff a special mention. They're always so cheery and welcoming, as well as being efficient. Honestly, so few hotels actually make you feel like a "guest" but Redwings does. It's a little thing but lovely to get a warm greeting after a long journey. Also, the room I stayed in yesterday seemed to have been redecorated recently. Some of the rooms are older than others but this had a very fancy new shower (which I enjoyed) and an excellent bed.
Location, clean and friendly staff
No lifts for a baby in stroller to carry up to 4th flour, room was too warm as there is literally no proper air circulation on fourth floor, there should have been an AC in the room, no fridge? All the baby food went off. We had to buy new in the morning because there was no fridge.
Really good for a value hotel. The lady on check in was fantastic, very friendly and helpful.
Nothing really, was great value for money
they cancelled the booking before informing me.
Location good, staff wonderful
Noisy from street
Stayed here many times. Always a great stay

The helpfulness of all the staff to ensure my 2 night business trip a memorable and successful time for me, This hotel is exceptional and in a great location for business or pleasure.
There was nothing to dislike, whatever l needed they were so helpful and the treated me with kindness, that you do not always get from a short stay such as this one.

Good location and it is attached to the Saracen’s Head pub
No air conditioning and so rooms very warm
I don't like anything.
The staff were great and the hotel was clean and tidy. Having the pub was also very handy..
Nothing really it was all good.
Staff are always helpful and courteous

Very friendly staff very clean central position and great parking free too😀😀
Nothing tbh
Convenient location with easy parking.
Breakfast to be available earlier if possible.
The room itself was brilliant. Nice & clean & a great size. Beds were very comfy too. The gentleman on reception was very friendly & super helpful.
Needed air con, even just in a few rooms. Ours was past a fire door which trapped heat in the corridor & rooms, so it was pretty close to unbearable. We had 4 fans but there weren’t any plug sockets close enough to the beds, so they didn’t help. I did ask if there were any extension leads but unfortunately, there weren’t. I ended up having to sleep on a wet towel to try to cool down.
I love the staff and Redwings - lots of people can work a hotel reception and be pleasant - Redwings Solihull staff are uniquely genuine and warm. They had thoughtfully closed curtains to keep the heat out and remembered us from previous stays.
A tiny fridge in the rooms would be helpful. Like many people, I am not a fan of UHT, and this would easily solve that. I'll even provide the milk! Tiny thing really, and would never stop me staying there.
Great location
The location was great and breakfast was available in the pub
There was only one tea bag each and small cups which was not enough for me 🙁
Comfortable easily accessible and really nice staff
Everything
Nothing to complain about
Staff were lovely, free parking.
Rooms were dated , and the shower could do with a refurb
Basic
No air con. Fan was not effective
I can only leave a good review, even though I have been asked not to return. In June, I stayed here, which was about my 5th annual visit, and made a mistake by blaming the hotel for something they were not responsible for. On my return home, I realised my error. I immediately called reception and called back after the weekend to speak to the Manager. I sent an apology card and a large bunch of flowers and fell on my sword to no avail. I have a profile picture on social media that my late wife took in the car park of this hotel several years ago, before she was diagnosed. Although I don't blame them, because this was 100% my fault, I do feel very sad that I am unable to return in 2027. Life is far too short for grudges, and anyone reading this who needs a perfect location for the NEC will find it a great place to stay.
Location great, clean rooms and friendly staff
Good value hotel that is convenient for visiting friends nearby. Efficiently run. Third visit as it is so convenient.
Nothing
The hotel was dirty everywhere very dated and room was dirty too bath was damaged and dirty staff was nit friendly hotel.had building work going on and stank of paint
Staff are always lovely, room was good and bed comfy, nice clean towels and always great water pressure in the shower. I didn't use the bar this time to eat.
The walls between rooms are thin so I heard plenty of noise from the people in the next room. Car park was very busy I had to squeeze in a gap by the bushes, some people had over lapped the lines so made less room for other vehicles.
Where it was located, very accessible to public transport.
The pillows were very, very flat. We had to roll up the duvet then use all the pillows in the room. We slept with just the sheet on the bed. Wasn't ideal to be honest
It’s located 20-30 minutes away from all major attractions we planned on visiting. The staff were very pleasant.
Where to start? The rooms were at an awful hygiene/cleanliness state. There were hairs in the bath, dust caked across the room including the fans used to cool us down. The rooms were boiling hot making it challenging to sleep. We requested a cot bed which ended up being a smaller and less supportive single bed with no additional protection for my child. Finally my other child with mobility difficulties due to disability was required to climb multiple flights of stairs to get to or from the hotel room despite the hotel being made aware of this.
The staff were really helpful. It was definitely value for money and really close to our party venue.
We were initially given room 401 but it was unbearably hot but we asked to be moved and were moved to room 108 which was much more comfortable. So didn't like the heat in the room, even with a fan at the bed, but did like how the staff helped.
Very convenient location, clean ,friendly staff very accommodating
Fridge in room
Car park out if view for work vehicles
Lack of air conditioning but not end of the world !
really lovely hotel, staff very friendly and close to a lot of shops bars and restaurants
shower could do with updating but worked ok
Staff helpful and kind. Nice room. Good parking. Easily accessible.
The reason we were there
Clean well presented room Fan was on ready to help cool the room They had put a sheet on and removed the duvet which was very considerate No extra charge for parking
Nothing Extra charge for dogs but was less than some charge and room was such a good rate to start with
Excellent staff on reception and cleaning staff. Great central location for many pubs and restaurants. Excellent parking. Excellent bus service right outside into Birmingham city centre. Comfortable beds good bed linen. Beautiful towels. Great disability room with wet room shower for excellent accessibility.
Breakfast in pub next door was limited choice. Only served fried eggs. Full English breakfast option Would have wanted other options. poached or scrambled eggs with avocado options.
Everything 😀 was super clean and the staff was so nice to me and my little boy x
Central for our weekend
All good
Theft of personal items from room
Room huge and spacious . Clean. Very comfy. Was quite dim lighted

The staff are exceptional! We arrived a bit stressed due to various things and the gentleman at reception immediately made us feel at home. Both he, and the lady the next morning were so kind they felt like family and friends. Nearby there are many pub and dining options. For vegetarians/vegans there are restaurants and a trusty Wetherspoon pub in walking distance.
Good location clean Room friendly staff from reception
Nothing it served its purpose for a quick stay when visiting family in Solihull
The lady that checked me in was extremely kind and polite. Very welcoming.
Bed great. Room could be cleaner.
Was very comfy, staff were so friendly.
Excellent stay. No frills. Comfortable. Helpful staff..Ample free parking

The room was clean and the bed comfortable plus a great shower.
Could do with some black out curtains as gets light very early.
Yes it was fine and suited us for what we were there for….
Stayed on a Saturday night while working in the area. Good Location with plenty of food outlets within a few minutes walk. Reception staff friendly & helpful. I had a nice room. It was clean, comfortable & spacious. I had a good sleep. The shower was hot & powerful. Free car parking. Would i stay again? YES.
Staff are always friendly and happy to help. Have stayed on 2 separate occasions and had met 2 different members of staff in the reception both times. Both absolutely friendly a wicked people. Happy to help with anything you take to them and always seem to be smiling and happy.
Only thing id say is the pillows are thin (did ask at reception for an extra pillow which came in like 2 minutes) but thats me being picky if anything.
Quiet room.
Silverware not provided when requested. Hat to ask the restaurant next door.
