We stayed here as a family,hospitality was fabulous and food was fantastic, rooms are nice with the view.the people here are very nice and friendly. Overall we had a great time with family. Ram and Siril hospitality was very good

Overall, we had a great stay at the hotel. The hospitality was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The food was delicious شف رام and the activities were enjoyable and well organized. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel has many uphill paths and stairs, which can be challenging for elderly guests and people with disabilities or limited mobility. We also noticed some insects around the hotel and occasionally in the rooms, but this is understandable since the property is located in the middle of the forest. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we enjoyed our stay despite these minor inconveniences.

The stay at hills and hues was very amazing they had a variety of activities. Also they have a photographer that can take pictures of you which was spectacular …especially food and Chef Ram …

Perfect stay!!! 3 day stay in Manor Suite, the place grows on you. You will love the ambience and the hospitality. So picturesque and perfectly curated place. The only thing I will suggest as an improvement is the food variety, the taste is perfect but need more options on the north and some spicy food

We came here for the first time and we had a wonderful time. We came here for my baby’s birthday. All the staffs were friendly and took care of us well. Moreover happy that they took care of my 2 year old baby well by providing us home made food. The chef made all what we asked for my child which was very nice of them. Must visit property!

The restaurant is excellent, the atmosphere is elegant, and the service provided by the team is outstanding. Special thanks to Chef Ram for his kindness, professionalism, and attention to guests, as he always goes the extra mile to fulfill requests, even when an item is not available on the menu. It was a memorable stay, and I will definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful family stay at Hills & Hues. The location is spectacular, the food was excellent, and the staff were warm and attentive. The infinity pool and peaceful ambience made the experience even more special. Thank you for a memorable stay.

The only downside was that the pool is not temperature controlled, so the water was quite cold. Apart from that, everything was exceptional.

This is a fabulous stay. The views from our room were surreal. The room itself was very tastefully done and very unique. The staff were so hospitable, it made the entire experience wonderful. The chef and restaurant staff were really wonderful. The approach road is steep, but the entire experience makes it more than worth it.

Our stay at this beautiful resort in Thekkady was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it didn’t feel like we were checking into a resort — it truly felt like we had found a second home in Kerala. Every corner of the property is so thoughtfully maintained and designed to make you slow down, relax, and reconnect with yourself. What made this experience truly unforgettable, however, was the warmth and hospitality of the people here. The staff doesn’t treat you like guests — they treat you like family. A very special mention to the Head Chef, Ram, who is genuinely one of the best chefs we have ever met. His attention to detail, passion for food, and care towards guests were extraordinary. I just returned from a beautiful 4-day trip to Munnar and Thekkady, and I have to share my experience from my last day at Hills and Hues in Thekkady. I was genuinely touched by the level of service, the kindness of the staff, and the delightful food we enjoyed there. It was such a warm and inviting atmosphere, especially when compared to the other places I stayed during the trip, which were far more expensive. It truly made my final day memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at Hills & Hues Resort in April 2026. We were two families traveling together, and overall, it turned out to be a very peaceful and memorable experience. The biggest highlight of this property is undoubtedly its location and scenery. Nestled amidst nature, the views from the rooms are simply breathtaking—waking up to the misty hills and lush greenery was truly refreshing. It’s an ideal place if you’re looking to unwind and disconnect. The hospitality was equally impressive. The staff were extremely courteous, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. The food deserves special mention. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and showcased authentic Kerala cuisine beautifully. Some standout items we absolutely loved were the fish tawa fry, chemmeen (prawn) tawa fry, and beef roast—all prepared to perfection. A special mention to Chef Ram for his humility, warmth, and personal attention, which added a lovely touch to our dining experience. That said, there are a couple of areas where the resort could improve. The buffet breakfast spread felt somewhat limited and could benefit from more variety. Additionally, maintenance of the property could be better in certain areas to match the otherwise premium experience the resort offers. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, our stay was truly enjoyable. With its stunning surroundings, excellent service, and delicious food, this resort is definitely worth considering for a relaxing getaway in Thekkady. Highly recommended!

We were in a expensive cottage. The Aircon was not effective and the room did not have a cieling fan.. Whereas less expensive rooms are fitted with fans!!

The room was lovely, the staff were super friendly and the views were great. We felt very welcome. The hotel generally was very well maintained and has gorgeous flowers everywhere.

The only small annoyance was that there was construction going on, as the hotel were building more rooms. This meant it wasn’t very relaxing to sit out on the balcony as we could hear the construction noises.

It is an amazing place in the hills with a fantastic view. A lot to enjoy and in particular the food! I wish we had stayed longer

Clean, well-kept and cozy place is on top of the mountain and completely isolated.

Stunning pool but not heated so cannot be used, no gym, linens and towels have seen better days.

We stayed at Hills & Hues for 4 nights. The resort itself is awesome and the view from the resort is marvellous. The staff is very courteous and the property manager Mr Prabhu, ensured that our stay was comfortable. The staff in the restaurant was also very kind and the executive chef, Mr Ram served us dishes to our taste. There is an infinity pool, though we were not able to use it because of the cool weather. There are several spots where one can click amazing photos. The staff was kind to click some shots of both of us. The resort is about 5 kms away from the town of Kumily, where the Periyar Tiger Reserve is, so once in the resort, you enjoy the facilities of the resort. About a km of the distance is totally uphill. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

There should have been heating in the infinity pool. Being on a hilltop, the weather could get cool anytime.
