The setting

The overall condition of the room was below a very good standard.

Prima B&B. Je had beslist geen last van de drukke weg die in de buurt lag. Heel mooi uitzicht. Heel gezellig met alpaca’s op het terrein.

I only stayed one night, but everything was super easy. The instructions were clear and they even put my name outside my room, so it was easy to find. Also, it was good to see the Alpacas roaming around outside.

The only thing was the internet was a bit tricky to connect since it only worked outside the room, not inside. It wasn't a huge deal, but it would be nice if the range was extended. Other than that, it was all good.

Lovely view from our room, extra treat were the wandering lamas and turkeys. The homestead is nice.

The location, difficult to get to if travelling north, a mission to get to Cambridge, the constant traffic noise.

The entrance from the highway was rough. Glad we had an SUV. The sign on the highway needs to be BIGGER.

Very quiet. Alpacas were friendly

Old and run down. Blinds filthy. Very basic. Bathroom spacious and clean. Owner came into my room when i was out. Was shocked. On major highway. Very hard to get in and out.

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean, and the property itself was beautiful. We had gorgeous views out our windows and were greeted by friendly alpacas. We loved the continental breakfast, tea and coffee provided in our rooms, as well as the towel warmers in the bathrooms and lovely views off our back porch. The Homestead is nestled in rolling green hills and we thoroughly enjoyed the location as well as our host.

The only drawback we experienced was getting to the property. It is located just off a divided highway, which means if you are coming from the east, you must travel past the location, exit the highway and re-enter on the eastbound side to be able to access the property’s driveway. This really isn’t a big deal, but Google Maps didn’t figure this out so after an already long drive, we drove another ten minutes out of our way trying to figure out how to gain access.

The location was convenient.

We stayed in the King Suite. On arrival there were spiderwebs and spiders throughout the room, including above the bed and on the wall behind it. The curtains were dirty with visible mud at the top and appeared not to have been cleaned for a long time. The bowls and cups in the room were full of dead bugs, so we didn’t feel comfortable using them. Due to these issues, we chose to leave early and stayed only one night instead of the two nights booked.

I arrived late and would have liked to see more of the homestead and meet the alpacas.

Drive way was almost to rough for cars especially near the gate.

Limited unexciting breakfast. Missing fire alarm. Poor level of cleanliness. The advertised mountain view was in fact a Hills hoist . Very unimpressive.

The host was very helpful and told us more about the Alpaca's. He helped me to interact with one of them (Bobby)!

The location was on main SH1 with centre barrier, so it was a bit of drive to make U turn to go back to Cambridge There are no place for hung jackets.

We really enjoyed our stay, The host was lovely. The animals were friendly and it was nice waking up to them.

It was peaceful, clean and well furnished. The breakfast provided was excellent.

The address was a little difficult to find as the entrance is right off the motorway.

Badly organised,we booked 2 suites but were offered one and a room in the farm house...as it was for our 19yo daughter we opted for two rooms in farm house so we could be close.The facilities were very old and unclean...the breakfast was a continental one but I had doubts on its freshness so we didnt partake..The bedding and linen certainly didnt have a fresh smell to them, quite the opposite.My wife thinks she detected tiny insects in bed

Felt close to nature

WiFi was weak in our room.

Much enjoyed the rural aspect with great views across the paddocks to the hills. Also, the ultra friendly Alpacas in the paddock alongside the unit who kept guard on us overnight. The light breakfast provided was also appreciated in a nice well-lit unit with a deck and bbq table outside had the morning weather been better.

Access is a bit of a problem if you are driving towards Cambridge from the south or wanting to head north towards Hamilton, because of the mid road safety fence, requiring a 5 km diversion in the wrong direction to get back to square one on the right side of the road. A small breakfast table in the unit would be helpful.

The Bed

Everything else, shower not clean,no smoke alarm,only marmalade on offer, couldn’t get the tv to work,the location, couldn’t wash the dishes properly due to no dish wash liquid, very noisy from motorway next to property

Rural outlook , the llamas

We had no towels to start with although when we text this was fixed . We found it had a musty smell and was a little dated

The location was great

The room was old and smelt extremely musty.

The location was near the Auckland airport and the staff was kind and helpful.

The room seemed sort of rundown and needed some TLC and updating.

Super cozy and quiet location Having alpacas at our back door and cows visible from the room was so fun

If you missed it the first time like we did off the highway you have to go very far down and back to do a U-turn A bigger sign in the driveway might have helped

Idyllisch gelegen und mit den Alpakas und einem wunderschönen Zitruspflanzengarten tolles Anwesen. Jedoch ist der Highway recht laut, was mich persönlich gering gestört hat.

Eine gewisse Grundsauberkeit.

The one staff person we met was very friendly and helpful. Llamas in the garden! Great view of the mountain.

It is right next to SH 1 so can be quite noisy, and the windows do not shut well. Access is a very sharp turn off the highway, easily missed and a 2.5km detour if you need to turn back! This also means that getting into Cambridge is a bit tricky. It is impossible to make a right turn onto the highway, which would be very dangerous even if it was allowed, so you have to turn left and then drive 2.4km to a turning place.

This facility was just out of town in the peacefull countryside. When we arrived we were met by a wonderful welcome committee of 3 very friendly Elpacas who all enjoyed a good pat and scratch of their ears ! The unit itself was warm and conformable with exceptional fittings and facilities - we could highly recommend this as a destination for a nice quite and comfortable stay at the end of a busy day

A nice country feel. Our room was part of the old homestead and was very large. Alpacas in the yard on the way to the room were friendly. Comfy bed.

The room smelled a bit musty. The shower was not in great condition. Some of the crockery wasn't clean, like it had been sitting unused for awhile and had gathered some dust.

Heat pump in room needed servicing, but that was fixed by the host

Very clean ,well presented,lots of bedding to keep us warm. The host was warm welcoming and helpful. The alpacas and cow were a highlight,very friendly enjoying lots of pats. Breakfast on the patio was a great bonus.

We missed the turning into the driveway,a bit tricky turning off a 100km rd. Got it second time around !!

What a wonderful homely farm homestead you have 🐄🐮🐑🦙. 22minutes out of Hamilton. Owner friendly and helpful. Loved having Bobbie visit in the Morning along with his friends. Lovely having Cereal,Toast,milk,biscuits and preserves available. The unit had everything you would need with modern appliances. Also loved seeing the Cows walking past going off to be milked and also seeing the big Bull and sheep on the property. You could hardly hear the traffic its very quiet.. Bed was very comfortable also.. Aircon was great we had a lovely warm stay and the shower pressure was AMAZING. I would love to stay again.

Comfortable and warm. Seeing the Animals roaming in the yard brought a smile to my face. Basic Continental breakfast was sufficient. Good parking.

We loved the critters at the place!! it was so much fun to share snacks with turkeys, llamas, and a bull. Also made for really interesting pictures.

It was kind of hard to get to.

Nice and clean room

The room was spacious and bright. There was an excellent heat pump. Everything was clean and well presented. Breakfast supplies were great.

Better signage would be helpful - it's a busy road so some warning about the B&B entrance would make it safer & easier to find.

Waking up to misty mountains in the distance was a way to start to the day. The animal friends in the yard was a bonus. It’s a cute, quiet place which allows you to relax and enjoy the world around you.

It was a delightful experience to wake up to a beautiful scenery surrounded by alpacas and other farm animals. We had a fun time feeding and interacting with the alpacas. There are sheep and birds and also cows strolling nearby. Waking up to fresh air and beautiful sunrise is wonderful. The amenities are clean and decent. There are fruit trees like avocados, oranges, lemons and grapefruit. The owner is very friendly and hospitable.

The accommodation was reasonable. Nothing great but nothing awful.

It was difficult to enter the property from the main road in one direction. You have to drive a long way to get to where you can turn around as it is on a divided road.

Good place to stay although quite cold in the lockwood style cabins even with the heatpump running.

Very quiet and restful

The basin in the bathroom was on top of the bench and as I am a short person I found it difficult to wash my hands! There were a few flies due to the turkey & alpaca droppings but the owner provided flyspray.

Lovely place, with alpacas that come visit you in the morning!

The outlook from our room was sheets on the washing line. The property manager attacked the alpacas with a broom. He saw me watching but carried on. Lots of flies. They were immune to the fly spray. Very dirty under the microwave and behind the TV. No cloths or bath mat provided

Well set out, comfortable and tasteful unit. Great shower, close to Cambridge. Continental breakfast included, was a lovely bonus. Bed was a little firmer than what we are used to. Animals were lovely but just had to watch out for Turkey droppings where you walked.

Delightful experience. Away from everything and the llamas were so much fun.

Nice and quiet once you in property, but located on busy highway 100 k.p.h. as soon as you leave gate and only able to turn left.
