Would have given it 4.5 stars. Positives: - location and the beach - the room is large, spacious and captures the Andaman ethos well - great activities especially forest walks etc Key areas of improvement: - the quality of food is poor for a Taj both in terms of overall assortment and taste - attention to detail is missing for a Taj both- they gave us a very warm welcome with a property song.

Taj Andamans is like a slice of heaven. Enveloped in nature, breathing pure air and the blue beach at your feet, detoxes you as well as energises you. The staff are on another level. They pamper and make you feel so very comfortable. The cocktails are top notch and the ice creams beat the Italian gelato. A must visit. Thank you Taj.

Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans is the best place to be in the Havelock Islands. It is right on Radha Nagar beach and offers a place in both the lap of nature and luxury. Each cottage is spacious and has an outside sitting area. One can watch the diverse birdlife in the area from the foyer itself during mornings. The resort also offers many curated experiences, such as stargazing and tidal pool walks, where one can see many species of marine life. My kids especially loved the two activities. The naturalists and the stargazers are very proficient and enjoy their work. They also have many in-house activities for kids to keep them occupied between beach hopping. We dined at both restaurants, Turtle House and Shoreline and both served excellent and tasty meals. I also liked the hotel's endeavor to include local delicacies cooked by local women in the breakfast buffet. I especially commend the Taj group's thought for sustainability while developing a resort in this area, as most of the primary forest (trees with giant buttresses) in the area has been retained while designing rooms and restaurants

Everything was perfect. Very beautiful surroundings. Surreal.

Should be more flexible with their meal timings. Can do better on desserts and should have a designated bar other than the one on the poolside. It isn’t comfortable sitting if the weather isn’t supportive.

Most beautiful location amidst rain forests with direct access to beach. Serene atmosphere where humans co-exist with nature without disturbing each other. Most spacious villas with all amenities. Food is superb. Hospitality needs a special mention as the team organized Diwali pooja and invited guests for celebrating Diwali away from their homes.

A great week and loved the whole place

We stayed at the Taj for 4 nights and our stay was made excellent by some really world class service and the staff at the hotel .This hotel is located on one the most beautiful beaches of Asia while the Villa’s are all in the nature with beautiful trees surrounding it there rooms are not facing the ocean which is a 2 mins walk to the beach and has pristine white sand , Goa beaches are nothing in front of this beach . We were in touch with Manit before we arrived who helped us organise our pickup from Airport to the Jetty and back .I highly recommend you take the hotel services as it makes it so much easier for coordination between the Jetties and airport .. Cars were excellent with really good drivers This hotel is in Havelok and u need to connect via a ferry so plan well according to the weather , We have had a experience of reaching portblair and got our ferry cancelled due to a cyclone in Jan 2023 and had to return back to Delhi , This time also we came in the monsoons (June ) and our return ferry was canceled and we had to take the only govt ferry leaving at 530 am to get back to portblair , So have a plan A and B if things like this happen , Once you reach the hotel you are in great hands but they don’t control any of this but will do everything to take care of your safety . Welcome to the hotel was great , We had a small issue in the room but the staff was super attentive to address it fast , The rooms are nice and you have to understand that you are living in nature in a jungle so it comes with those frills but size and luxury of the rooms was great , Biman from housekeeping is superb and he is available when you need him and took very good care of us. We got this besan Barfi which was to die for on arrival best I have had ! The back bone of this hotel is its food and Nilesh the head of F&B Is holding that backbone , I must say he gives his heart and soul to this hotel , With our issue in the room he left his kitchen and to our shock went to our room to get our issue fixed that tells you how passionate he is about service and not just food . Nilesh was the reason we had a really good time at the hotel and tasted one of the best food here , I highly recommend you stick to sea food here as he can cook up some amazing dishes , I also recommend you take a package here with Lunch/Dinner as there is nothing around the property like cafés etc and you need to take a taxi and the best cafe is 10 km from the hotel .. We did not regret that decision and it was superb.Jasmine at the coffee shop was great to connect with in the Resturant and is very pleasant to talk and helped with recommendations , Thank you Jasmine Anish was proactive and looked after us really well especially for many of our early morning outings he had our breakfast ready and packed .. Their chicken sandwiches are outstanding ..A big thank you !! The pool side is amazing with a Resturant and we enjoyed really good food at the bar and their service by the pool was outstanding with drinks , They have one of the biggest pools I have seen facing towards the ocean and green trees. We took the spa service and it was great but I have experienced better in other Taj properties , Overall experience was good . Jageep , A big thank you for everything and your proactiveness and alertness was superb and as a duty manager you are terrific .. Keep up the great work you are doing and thank you for the sunset cruise experience it was amazing :). Finally we have to say Karan the GM of the hotel is amazing and on our last day we saw him in the coffee shop working with the staff cleaning tables / Taking orders/ Picking up plates , That to me was amazing and a role model leadership behaviour from the front .., He remembered our 25th wedding anniversary and at breakfast organised a cake for us to cut and that was special .. Thank you Karan and you are a big reason why the hotel is successful !! All in all if you are still thinking don’t think twice on this hotel and book it and you will not regret the service and the atmosphere in this hotel . A very big thank you to all the hotel staff that made this trip a memorable one .. Keep it up and see you soon again !!

The online reviews for the resort are overwhelmingly positive and there are many very good things to be said. Not least is the room quality: the well-appointed villas offer spacious and well-designed accommodation, we really liked the use of natural materials and the pared-back design. Another huge positive is the amazing beach: just a few minutes minutes walk from the resort, the beach was nearly empty of other people, crystal clear water and a perfect temperature. Staff are super-friendly and our overall experience was positive. The resort markets itself for its sustainability and the unspoilt, tropical setting. With that in mind we were a bit disappointed with the hotel grounds overall. Unappealing concrete paths, bits of litter that wasn’t collected day after day, and some unsightly service areas with little screening all could do with looking at. The tropical setting also means lots of mosquitos – take plenty of spray with you. Whilst the resort arranged transport from the airport to the ferry and from the ferry to the resort, this wasn’t that well-coordinated and we had a long, dusty and hot wait before the resort car arrived. The main downside for us was the food offer. There are two main eating places with a large (and popular) indoor restaurant with a very average standard of food quality that’s more akin to a staff canteen than a 5-star resort and an openair grill bar area called the Turtle House. Turtle House was rarely busy and for us we preferred the food quality here. The main chef Manish was happy to just cook us whatever was freshest and introduced us to some really great regional tastes. If it wasn’t for Manish I think we would have been less enthusiastic to recommend the resort. One final point to make. The Andamans are somewhat remote and the clients at the resort are overwhelmingly Indian. As European travellers, we received a fairly intense grilling when leaving the country by Indian Customs who simply did not believe we had visited the island for tourism. They took one of our phones and scrolled through all the photos to make sure we had not visited any restricted areas. It was a deeply unpleasant end to an otherwise enjoyable trip.

We recently stayed at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans, and our experience was extremely seamless from start to finish. Right from the bookings for the transport and hotel to the final checkout, everything was handled quite professionally. The front desk team was very helpful and cooperative and was available around the clock whenever we needed any kind of assistance. A special mention to Ms. Deborita, Ms. Mehak, Ms. Chaaru, and Mr. Ayush for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The food was absolutely exceptional. It was some of the best that we have had, with a huge variety of Intercontinental food as well as some local delicacies, lovingly prepared by Chanda Didi. We also tried some really unique mocktails prepared by Mr. Soham and Ms. Marina. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Sudeep and Mr. Anand as well for their warm service throughout our meals. A very special thanks to Chef Manishji and Chef Bharatji for going above and beyond by preparing off-menu dishes on demand for my daughter and proactively serving some delectable dishes. Their enthusiasm and dedication truly made our dining experience unforgettable. We would also like to appreciate Mr. Aadil and Ms. Malika for doing an excellent job with housekeeping and ensuring everything was always perfectly maintained and in place. Lastly, a big thank you to Mr. Karan Godhwani, the General Manager, and the entire Taj team for their outstanding hospitality and for giving us such a memorable and wonderful experience. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The place is an attraction in itself on the Island, the staff is very responsive, the restaurants it hosts are excellent, and the private access to Radhanagar Beach is undoubtedly the best thing Taj has to offer. Special mention to Maneet, who took exceptional care of everything we needed throughout our stay.

We recently stayed at Taj Andaman, and I genuinely want to thank Manit for making our experience so incredibly special. From almost two weeks before our check-in, he was constantly in touch with us, helping us with every little detail and making sure everything was perfectly planned and comfortable for us. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. The hospitality was exceptional, and it honestly felt like they went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. With all the 12 countries I have travelled to I always believed international destinations offered the finest hospitality and customer experience. Despite India having some of the most breathtaking locations my previous domestic travel experiences often felt underwhelming due to service standards. That perception changed completely after my stay at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Andamans. All thanks to our host Mannat from the time we entered till the end he was there with us like a family. This was undoubtedly one of the best travel decisions i have ever made. The beauty of the property is surreal pristine white sand beaches crystal blue waters, lush tropical gardens mangoes and coconuts scattered all around nature at its absolute finest. The pictures truly speak for themselves, completely unfiltered. Just four days here washed away months of stress and work pressure. What truly elevated the experience, however was the exceptional hospitality by Mannat. Every staff member was warm and attentive but our host Mannat was simply outstanding. In all my travels across different countries, I have rarely encountered someone so genuinely dedicated to guest experience. From arranging cabs , managing sudden ferry cancellations, early dinners, missed breakfasts bags, late check outs, and even helping recover lost belongings everything was handled seamlessly with just a single text or call.The level of professionalism ,efficiency and care genuinely rivalled some of the best luxury hospitality experiences I have had internationally. Even after I accidentally left behind an expensive Apple charger, Mannat personally ensured every effort was made to get it back to me in Delhi.This weekend in my friends get together I recommended this property to all my friends and even families . Taj should be incredibly proud to have people like Mannat representing their brand. Without his support, my birthday trip could have easily turned stressful instead, it became unforgettable.

The best place to be in Andamans at a super premium budget.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights at Taj Havelock, welcoming the guests also takes some time if there are too many tourists, dint expect that from such a great hotel and the bomb they charge , the place is amazing with exclusive access to beach with good tea and snacks, good guards at sea, while people take bath 5:30 pm is the last the guests should come out of the beach. hotel stay at Villa 14 and 12 are good with good and clean rooms. However, i would inform the staff to improve on the bathroom amenities like usage of shampoo, body wash is not working. Smell comes from the bathrooms toilet room. Restaurant also needs to improve on the service, on Saturday it was crowded, we got to wait for 30 to 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Breakfast spread was good and staff was attentive all times. Beach at 6 am is very pleasant and amazing. Thank you Taj. we will definitely visit.

Great experience, quintessential taj hospitality, food at Shoreline is amazing.

Amazing Place ! Taj has its own charm. Location on Radhanagar beach is great. Walking distance from rooms to the beach front.. Cleanest and amazing beach seen in India. What makes Taj so special is the amazing staff and their approach to help solve every possible difficulties the guest are experiencing. Not only related to their stay but other help like procuring bikes on hire, Airport pickup and drops from ferry and lots of other small request were solved with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. Mr. Manit was a one point contact for us and he arranged everything what we needed. The stay was excellent and the amenities taj provided was also at par. However, small things like pool table was not maintained properly. Balls were missing, table cloth was torn and cue sticks were very badly maintained.. I dont know why such small things were ignored.. Breakfast was out of the world and I think I would have gained a pound or so while I was staying there :) I truly feel, these things will be taken care when brought in front of the management. Its the zeal for perfection which Keeps Taj what it is. All in all, had a wonderful experience and a loud shout out to Mr. Manith for assisting us with everything needed. Having said that, I cannot ignore every other member from the security team to housekeeping team to service team. They were all in line with the standards and they were very well aware they are carrying the name Taj with them. Good stay and will definitely visit again.

My expectations for the Taj Exotica Andamans were high – and all were met or exceeded. Having booked well in advance, I had an opportunity to research the property and environs extensively (and read reviews). It’s always a lottery – what looks enticing on a website may be less so in reality – but anything you might see or read about Taj Exotica does not do it justice.

The property is exquisite, words cannot describe the beauty and obvious pride and care taken in its presentation and maintenance. From the moment of arrival and check-in to check-out [two weeks later] we could not have been more pleased and impressed. Testament to the Taj Exotica’s success would have to be its staff – from concierge/reception to F&B to security to housekeeping and grounds staff, beach and pool attendants, and management – every person we encountered at the Taj was professional, kind, helpful and accommodating. They clearly take great pride in the hotel and their respective roles there, which is a huge factor in a guest’s subsequent level of enjoyment, relaxation and appreciation. So, to break it down Concierge/reception: Check-in and out were efficient and executed expertly. On arrival, we were taken to our villa and left in peace to get on with unpacking, settling in and relaxing. I had several queries throughout our stay, especially in the first few days, and guests can very helpfully communicate any needs or questions via WhatsApp, to which a response is received promptly and action, where necessary, taken. The room: There are no immediate beachfront villas at the Taj and, while I thought I might pine for the beachfront, we actually loved the quiet and relative seclusion of the Deluxe villa towards, I think, the rear of the property – maybe a 7-minute stroll to the beachfront. This has to be one of the nicest and most spacious rooms/villas we’ve stayed in. Often hotel rooms fall short on very minor details – lack of or inconvenient placement of power points, overdecoration and unnecessary clutter, awkward positioning of furniture, lack of storage and wardrobe space but, at the Taj, almost every detail is considered and there is very little I would improve on. There was not a lot of natural light in the room but, given the surroundings and the amount of time [we] spent in the sun, sometimes it’s nice to retreat later in the day into a cool, shady space, and each of the villas has a huge deck/terrace for lounging and relaxing in the sun or shade. Tastefully and minimally appointed, but with nods aplenty to the surroundings, the villa fronted onto a grassed area, positioned in such a way as to offer privacy with no disturbance from any of the other accommodations and, despite the property at full or high occupancy for much of our stay, in our villa there was a feeling of almost being the only guests at the hotel. The room being made up every day is regular and discreet, but with no evening turn-down service, which is really not a big deal in the scheme of things. The bed was wide and comfortable and the room cooled nicely by efficient air-conditioning units, although positioned to immediately project onto the bed is perhaps not the best place for them, as it meant we really couldn’t have it on at night time, which was occasionally required. The bathroom is spacious, with great water pressure and appointed with a large bath and walk-in shower. Loads of storage space in the room, especially helpful for a longer stay, meaning everything could be hung or put away, without having to clutter the room. The beach: In a word, sublime. Safe to swim in, and, again, pictures just don’t do justice. It has to be seen to be believed. Radhanagar Beach is a clean, completely walkable 2.5km stretch of flat, white sand, with warm, crystal-clear, turquoise/aquamarine water. Seriously the best, most perfect beach of the many we have visited. Indian high tea is served on the beach just before sunset, when the beach transforms as [truly] thousands of locals calmly congregate to enjoy the sunset. The Taj’s area of the beach is discreetly attended by Raja, Santosh and Sudarshan, who are constantly on alert, ensuring you have plenty of chilled water and towels, that the loungers and umbrellas are expertly arranged to shield you from the sun and just keep a general eye on proceedings to ensure guests are comfortable at all times, happy to engage in some banter and also provide advice and information about the island and the beach itself. That said, very few at the resort use the beach, other than some heightened activity at sunset, so we largely had the beach to ourselves by day, despite high occupancy at the resort. The beach does become a bit more littered further away from the Taj, but by no means dirty. No hawkers or beach sellers either, not one. The grounds: Set over quite a huge expanse, the villas are positioned seemingly randomly, but in fact is because, when building the hotel, no existing trees were felled. Depending on your villa’s position, it requires no more than a few minutes’ stroll along shady paths through exquisitely maintained jungle-like foliage and flowering plants, to either the beach, the bar/restaurant or other amenities. The grounds were constantly tended and in pristine condition at all times. And, if you don’t fancy the walk, there’s always a buggy to whisk to to where you want to go. Food & beverage: The Taj Andamans has three restaurants/bars. Of the three we ate and drank only in the Turtle House (bar/pool/international snacks and meals) and Shoreline (breakfast, dinner, local and regional dishes). The Turtle House offers a full range of drinks and some delicious snacks and lighter meals throughout the day, and is perfect for an early-evening cocktail at the end of it – one of our favourite parts of the day to just continue winding down out of the heat of the day’s sun and soak up the atmosphere. The bar and restaurant staff are fun, friendly and will cater to pretty much your every whim. No matter how busy the restaurant was, the highest level of service was maintained. We weren’t demanding customers but, even if we were, there would be zero margin for complaint. The all-important breakfast is served in the Shoreline restaurant, offering a variety of Indian and other Asian food, along with the more static Western staples, both hot and cold. The coffee is excellent (also sometimes disappointing in high-end establishments) and the staff are always professional, accommodating and attentive, but without being overattentive or fussing. There’s a fine line between great service and “excessive” service, and the Taj staff have struck the perfect balance. 

Dinner in both restaurants is a relaxed but still professional and efficient à la carte affair, with a buffet offered on some evenings in the Shoreline. There’s a pretty comprehensive menu on offer, a range of locally sourced fresh food of several cuisines that we spent two weeks working our way through, returning several times to some favourites. Lots of fresh fish, local/Indian dishes and international cuisine. Again, the kitchen and serving staff are fun, professional and engaging, happy to answer any questions or accommodate any special requirements. Whether it’s seafood, meat, poultry or vegetarian, the produce is clearly of the highest quality. You’d only have yourself to blame for going hungry. All of the F&B staff are courteous, efficient and helpful, happy to execute their duties discreetly or engage in a bit of chat. So, all in all, a stay at The Taj Andamans is worth the effort of getting there – via a 90-minute ferry from Port Blair followed by a 20-minute journey by car on arrival at the ferry terminal at Swaraj Dweep. It’s not cheap, food and drink is close to London prices, but you get what you pay for. Beautifully staffed and run, as well as being stunning by day, The Taj was just as gorgeous by night. A large property designed to convey a feeling of true privacy and seclusion, the hotel was largely at full capacity during our stay, but we could walk the beach, grounds and gardens day or night, often not crossing paths with another soul. A few corporate events took place during our stay and, unlike previous experiences elsewhere, this did not negatively impact our experience – not really. There was no deterioration in service level or attention; these functions were carried out discreetly and focus was maintained on all guests throughout the function preparations and execution. I have stayed at other properties where an event seems to divert pretty much everyone’s attention, and non-event guests can be left almost to fend for themselves. Not so at The Taj, for which I highly commend the staff and management. One complaint is that the [only] bar was occasionally off limits/closed for the private events, with no other venue or contingency. I think management do need to review this, as other guests should not have services curtailed to accommodate this. Looked after throughout our stay largely by Purnima as our appointed guest services manager, and front office manager Abhishek, who introduced himself to us very early in our stay and with whom we enjoyed several charming conversations. He’s a relaxed, congenial, friendly host who treats the guests and staff alike with the utmost courtesy and respect. Abhishek and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued, and organised some excursions and treats, including a tour of the on-site vegetable and herb gardens, which we very much appreciated. I don't believe I have ever felt as valued and appreciated as a guest as I did at the Taj. All of The Taj Andamans staff were exceptional. Special mention and thanks to Subhankar and Ramesh (drivers/transport), Jagdeep, Sandeep, Purnima and Abhishek (guest services/concierge), Shubahm, Sai, Rupa, Sujit, Prissila, Mercy, Anish, Saptadipa, Vishal, Jasmine, Akash, Snehashish and chef Manish (dinner/drinks/breakfast/F&B) who looked after us, were fun, professional and engaging, always had time for a smile and a chat, often entertained us and made a perfect experience even better. Raja, Santosh, Sudarshan looked after us on the beach, Shrawan and Kushal expertly cleaned our room each day, Veera on reception and buggy driver Samir brightened each day with their warmth, smiles and general friendliness, and Robert in the spa delivered some of the best massages I’ve had. But really, everyone at The Taj Exotica Andamans deserves commendation, and we indeed left not just as guests, but as friends to several. One other thing that perhaps requires management's attention: while I appreciate the property’s stance on ecological maintenance, mosquitoes and insects were a problem for us. I do think this should at least be investigated and some low-impact measures taken. I know from speaking to other guests that this was not an isolated problem. So, my top tip: use extreme insect/bite protection, cover up where you can and pack some antihistamine cream to relieve the sting and itching! All in all, a stay at the Taj Exotica is not cheap, but still worth every penny. Beautifully staffed and run, it’s very difficult to find fault. I recommend the Taj Exotica highly as an exceptionally well-oiled hotel experience – one of, if not the, best hotel experiences ever. If you’re considering staying at The Taj, I would not hesitate to recommend it highly as one of, if not the, best hotel experiences ever. Thank you all at Taj Exotica Andamans. We will return.

Our stay at Taj Exotica in Havelock was absolutely wonderful. Considering Andamans, it's really unexpected to find such a property with all the modern amenities in a rather primitive place. The staff was courteous, available and helpful, especially Manit, who was our SPOC for the entire stay duration and helped us navigate water sports, activities, etc. in and around the hotel. The two restaurants at the hotel were great and this property has a private access to the Radhanagar Beach. So, your sunsets are already booked. Taj is a cut above the rest usually however, in Andamans, I think it's a one-of-a-kind experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Exotica, Andaman. We wanted to do our advanced diving course and went there for a 5 day stay. This is an exceptional property being located right at the Radha nagar beach with independent villas. We stayed at the Luxury Villa and it was quite spacious and offered privacy as it was overlooking the trees and garden. Added to that was the unmatched Taj hospitality and it was a vacation to remember. Our stay manager Manit and the reception staff gave us a warm welcome with fresh coconut water and a beautiful song sung in the local dialect. Manit helped us through our entire stay. The food at the Turtle house was also quite scrumptious and special thanks to Chef Bharat and our server Mercy. My husband and son enjoyed sea food grills everyday and chef was considerate enough to improvise and prepare meals off the menu since we had almost all meals there and I am a vegetarian. The other staff members like Saptadipa and Vishal at Shoreline restaurant also were very courteous.

The location of the property is extremely good, beach is beautiful. Villas are spacious and food is fantastic. Especial kudos to the Taj team members Manit, Shantanu and SnehAshish. These were on their toes to make sure we get the best experience during our stay.

The place is an attraction in itself on the Island, the staff is very responsive, the restaurants it hosts are excellent, and the private access to Radhanagar Beach is undoubtedly the best thing Taj has to offer. Special mention to Manit , who took exceptional care of everything we needed throughout our stay.

The Andamans demand a certain kind of property — one that doesn't bulldoze its way into paradise but earns the right to be there. Taj Exotica understands this. The villas are spacious without being ostentatious, designed not to compete with the landscape but to frame it. What stayed with us wasn't just the location — it was the thoughtfulness. The lobby constructed around living trees rather than over felled ones. The cycling paths that let you discover the property at your own pace. The quiet insistence that luxury and sustainability aren't opposing forces. Two people made this more than a stay: Veeralakshmi from the activities team, whose warmth set the tone from the start, and Chef Bharat, who took the trouble to customise our dinner rather than default to the standard menu. These are the details that separate a good resort from one you remember. A few notes for consideration: the evening tea service at the beach felt somewhat underwhelming — the snacks were repetitive and didn't quite match the setting. And while we understand the realities of turning tables at breakfast, the service staff could afford to be a little less hurried. Space to linger is part of what guests are paying for. But these are minor annotations in an otherwise well-written stay. The property gets the big things right — and in hospitality, that's what matters.

I’m disappointed with my experience. The service was slow, and the staff seemed uninterested in assisting customers. There was a lack of communication and professionalism, which made the visit frustrating. I hope improvements are made in both service quality and staff attitude.

Awesome location. The beach is beautiful. The grounds are covered in trees and plants. I would go again and would recommend it to others. The breakfast buffet is good. Make sure you ask for the menu. They offer many items a la carte to avoid food waste. The beach staff are nice and helpful.

The beds are hard. The rooms are over sized and need more beds so we can put the whole family in one cabin. The toilet in one of our cabins did not work. They came to "fix" it and it still did not work. The sidewalks are not suitable for walking barefoot which is a must for a beach resort. The cabins (villas) are nice but are definitely the prototype, There are many design bugs that still need to be worked out. The wood grating design in the bathroom area is weak. The slats are too far apart and the support braces are too far apart. Its a good idea, it is just poor construction. The wood floor installation is sloppy. Putting the toilet 15m from the shower is silly. Extra space is nice. Too much extra space is ridiculous. The sliding entry doors are pointless and take too much time to close correctly. For the money you pay, the dining room needs some work. The dining room chairs are the worst design I have ever experienced. Half the dining room has better chairs and that half fills up first. The person that picked those chairs needs to be fired, and the person that hasn't fixed it yet needs to be fired. The buffet is all cheap food (rice, dal) but they charge 3,000 INR per person. They are really stingy with meat. We ordered a la carte and a chicken dish came with very little chicken. Then the next day they brought twice as much chicken as would be appropriate for a meal. They seriously lack judgement on how much to serve. The cheesecake is awful. The mutton pepper fry is good. Don't get the chicken bunny chow.

1000/10. We loved this gem of a resort in the Oasis of the island that is Radahanger Beach. The villas are beautiful and well appointed. The pool area, dining area and property are well designed. The magnificent trees throughout the property will marvel you. We especially enjoyed the staff here. They were so kind. We loved getting to know them. Santosh who operates the beach area was a particular favorite. He shared stories with us and was so welcoming. We indeed had similar experiences with the hospitality staff in the restaurant. We booked a Luxury Villa but the hotel put us in a Deluxe Villa which is 2 levels below without telling us. When we realised this on the last day , we confronted them after which they agreed to give a discount for their apparent “mistake” after some haggling.

We had a wonderful vacation at Taj Exotica Andamans Resort & Spa. The staff at the Spa, Swimming Pool, Lacadives, and the Arrival Welcome team were all extremely helpful and ensured we had the best experience throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff were prompt, efficient, and very warm — despite our villa being far from the reception, they always attended to our requests in no time. The chefs at the restaurant and majorly service staff were exceptionally cordial. They customized the food for us during both breakfast and dinner exactly to our taste. As always, the experience at Taj is truly rejuvenating and helps relax both mind and body. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. A special mention to Harika from the Guest Experience team, who guided us extremely well. She has excellent knowledge about the activities and helped us plan everything smoothly, making our stay even more memorable.

Our experience at the Taj, Andaman's was excellent. We were travelling with our parents and 8YO and there was something for everyone to do. We got involved in most activities on the Island and the beach that Taj has access to is breathtaking and great for swimming. The Taj property in itself is gorgeous with lots of variety of trees, birds and a luxurious spa. They took great care of us and the food was delicious. Manit Kumar, helped us rebooking our hotel stay due to cancelled flights. He also booked all our activities/transportation including spa massages and catered to other needs at the resort. It was a special stay and recommend to all!

We had a very nice vacation at Taj Exotica Andamans Resort & Spa celebrating our 31st Anniversary. The Staff at the Spa, Swimming pool, Lacadives, Nomadic Tribes, Shoreline Restaurant, Beach Lifeguard, and the Arrival Welcome team all were super helpful and ensured we had the best experience during our stay. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and cordial and helped us get our requirements in super quick time although our resort was far from reception. Biman & Man from housekeeping did some great decoration in our room for our Anniversary along with the cake. A special thanks and shoutout to the Buggy team who made us very comfortable to explore and go across the resort with great ease, which is so very much important for specially abled guests like us. The Reception staff led by Rishab & team too were very helpful. The chef's in the restaurant and all the service staff are so very cordial and gave us the food both during breakfast & dinner that we wanted and according to our taste. As always the expereince at Taj is super and relaxes the mind and body both. We as a family thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Pls convey our thanks to the entire team.

We family of 3 stayed with Taj Exotica in dec’25. The property is extremely beautiful and staff is very courteous especially Man (मन) in house keeping and Shubham bar tender. I would also like to mention that Indian brands of hospitality must promote Indian made products. I found dinner plates made in UAE and imported honey.

Taj Exotica is one of the best hotels for corporate event. The rooms were exquisite, cleanliness at its epitome, everything planned to perfection. Service was A-one. The beach is just walking distance from the property. Though it is located far away from the jetty point but there are pick and drop services which can make your life easier. Internal transfers within the property are via buggies. The property is spread and maintained immaculately. Every detail is taken care off by the well trained staff. There are no words to describe the luxury at the property. We did have some initial challenge with room bookings but the overall experience was awesome. The property is exceptionally well located at Radha Nagar Beach. The staff starting from the airport to the hotel at all levels is very welcoming and warm. Food variety at the breakfast and other meals could have been more diverse with variety. Special mention needs to be made of Mr David Samuel at the airport and Mr Sai, Mr. Nadeem and Miss Marina at the restaurant.

The resort is ideally located near the beach. The staffs are courteous and friendly. The restaurant ‘Shore line’ offers wide variety of cuisine. Special mention to staffs Rajeev and Nadeem for their extraordinary hospitality and service.

Because it was peak tourist season, there were fair number of tourists at sunset time (but at far end of beach), rest of the time, you own the world! Lots of shady tree arbors next to the great expanse of the beach to protect you from the sun. The green back drop with tall ash woods and other verdant green plants is breathtaking The whole property is aesthetically designed, taking care not to cut any of those beautiful old trees - Lovely! We were a family of 6, staying in the 2 BR luxury villa. It had very spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge, deck and pool. They were very aesthetic, clean and comfortable.

I wd like to call out few names Who made this happen - Manit, Abhishek, Purnima from front desk, Vishaal(especially managed to convincemy kid to have parathas instead of fries), shubham, Rebecca and Jasmine from shorline restaurant and Last but not least - star of the show CHARU from Nomadic (or from experience desk) she went above and beyond to lacate ny kids bag which we inadvertently left in beach at night while star gazing, it took almost 1 hour for her to locate our bag from beach side shower area to towel area to beach and ultimately she found it in chilling dark night at beach and brought it to us with a big smile. No sign of exhaustion from her. Really appreciated. Thanks to all of them.

We visited Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it was a complete surprise trip for my wife. The Andaman experience—especially when paired with Taj’s exceptional hospitality—turned out to be exactly the luxurious, thoughtful celebration I had envisioned, creating memories we will cherish for a lifetime. The resort is beautifully located on the serene and relatively isolated stretch of Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island, offering peace, privacy, and breathtaking natural beauty. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days in a Deluxe Villa and had specifically requested one close to both the pool and the beach—which was perfectly arranged. Interestingly, we found that the room-and-breakfast rate was higher than the package that included all three meals at the Shoreline Restaurant and Turtle House. Since we planned to stay within the resort and fully immerse ourselves in Taj’s hospitality rather than venture out, opting for the all-meals package was an easy and excellent decision. The villa itself was extremely spacious, elegant, and luxurious. The all-meals package during our stay included buffet service for all three meals, a format that has been recently introduced during the December holiday season. Outside of this peak period, the meal package typically allows à la carte dining across all restaurants, offering even greater flexibility. Even with the festive buffet format in place, the experience was exceptionally well managed and never felt repetitive or restrictive, allowing us to enjoy different dining styles depending on our mood each day. Breakfast deserves a special mention: a lavish spread featuring fresh juices, smoothies, coconut water, whole fresh fruits, and an impressive selection of North Indian, South Indian, and continental dishes. Live South Indian counters added to the experience, and despite it being peak holiday season, the resort even had a local lady preparing fresh regional delicacies. As vegetarians, we were genuinely spoilt for choice at every meal. Another highlight of our stay was the wonderful daily high tea served by the beach during sunset, from 4:15 pm to 5:00 pm. Set against the backdrop of the ocean and golden-hour skies, it was a delightful ritual each evening and one of the most relaxing moments of the day. Sandeep deserves special appreciation for thoughtfully ensuring we were always seated outdoors and for reserving a quiet table for two throughout our stay, as indoor seating can get noisy during peak season. For dinner, we often preferred à la carte options over the buffet, and Sandeep recommended trying the three regional thalis—Bengali, South Indian, and North Indian. Given Andaman’s strong Bengali influence, the Bengali thali was outstanding and our favourite, followed by the South Indian and then the North Indian, each tried on different evenings. At Turtle House by the pool, Snehashish took excellent care of us during lunches, serving delicious pizzas, the highly recommended jackfruit burger, and perfectly charred vegetables. One afternoon, when we wished to have lunch by the beach, he ensured our food was packed hot and fresh so we could enjoy it seaside. We also requested beer by the beach, and Santosh, the lifeguard, very kindly coordinated with the Turtle House bar to arrange this for us. While Taj does not generally serve food or alcohol on the beach to preserve its pristine condition, special requests are occasionally accommodated—and we made sure to do our part in keeping the beach clean and untouched. We also indulged in some well-deserved pampering at the J Wellness Circle and opted for a couples massage together, which was a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. I chose the Vishuddhi (Detoxify) 30-minute treatment followed by a 60-minute Indian Aromatherapy (Deep Tissue) massage, while my wife opted for the Chandana 45-minute therapy along with a 60-minute Indian Aromatherapy (Relaxation) massage. Kalpana, our masseuse, did an excellent job, making the experience deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. As a small suggestion, the resort could consider offering a limited all-day menu and beverage service at the high tea section by the beach, along with a slightly more flexible policy for food and drink service on the beach itself. This would further elevate the guest experience while still preserving the pristine beauty of the shoreline. What truly elevated our stay was the incredible staff: * Sandeep, Jasmine, Shubham, Rajeev, and Snehashish at the restaurants were exceptional—warm, attentive, and consistently going out of their way to ensure every meal felt special. * Santosh, the lifeguard, was professional, friendly, and reassuring, allowing us to relax completely while enjoying the beach and pool. Every interaction reflected the Taj ethos of gracious service and genuine care. This anniversary trip was everything we hoped for and more, thanks largely to the wonderful team at Taj Andamans.

The Taj on Havelock Island is a resort with villas scattered amongst the extensive grounds, about a 20 minute Taxi or scooter ride from the main town (“jetty”). The staff are friendly and willing, And the resort is nicely done, albeit in something of a generic International style The architecture of the villas is a little strange, but they are spacious and luxurious. And although the building of the resort means that this patch of forest was lost, the designers have done their very best to incorporate as many of the original trees as they could. The gym is a wonderful example of that with two spectacular trees growing through the roof! There are two restaurants which are good with excellent service. The breakfast buffet in particular at the Indian style canteen restaurant is superb. The prices for dinner are perhaps a little extortionate. But then again this is a luxury resort in a truly spectacular setting. A random and eclectic collection of bicycles are available for free use to get around the resort. Which is a good thing because it’s a big space! There is a swimming pool, which is large albeit a little shady. But the jewel in the crown of this resort is the adjacent beach - Radnahangar. There is direct access from the resort through a private gateway with drinks and food and towels and chairs just for the guests. And the beach itself is a glorious crescent with headlands at each end, backed by a brilliant green forest of mangroves. I’ve been to many wonderful beaches in my life and I don’t like to make comparisons. But this is up there with the greatest I’ve ever seen. And the sunsets are unparalleled. do go. You will not regret it.

We had an amazing experience and a truly wonderful stay. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and the entire team was very professional. A special mention to Manit, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunset at Radhanagar Beach along with the hi-tea—it was a memorable experience. The island and the resort are fabulous. The Taj team and the service are exceptional. They made our family vacation truly memorable! Great food, exemplary hospitality, and attention to detail. The beach is superb. Highly recommend the Settlers dining experience and the night forest herping walk. Taj really needs to get their own boat to make the transfer from the airport seamless. Lacadives, the diving service provider, needs improvement, especially in the equipment and safety features.

The hospitality at Taj has always been the best. Taj Exotica Andaman is no exception. The servers are polite, very helpful, always on their toes to help. Especially Shubham, Kenneth, Jagdeep, Jasmine, and Ester were very helpful in making our stay delightful. The island comes with its limitations but these people go above and beyond to make your stay very rememberable. The rooms were what you would expect from a luxury hotel, with the caveat of the natural limitations of a remote island. The bicycles, the private beach, the pool, the sundowner high tea, the Christmas lunch and dinner were so well curated.

Shubham, Vishal and Ravi were outstanding and made our stay very memorable and enjoyable. They made sure we had the most comfortable experience.

As every other Taj property i have stayed in this one is also a wonderful experience. There was an amazing welcome to start with cold towels, coconut water, even the staff singing a welcome song. The rooms are huge and very well maintained. The bathroom areas with his and her basins , a large shower room ans bathtub and a separate loo are impressive. The staff are always there to please as in any Taj property. There is a humongous okypic size swimming pool which is clean and well maintained and also private access to Radhanahar beach which is super pretty as a beach. They host multiple complimentary activties, like duck feeding for kids, high tea, cocktail evenings etc. They have teams withing who can arrange water and land based activities for you. The massage at the spa was super relaxing and the massueses are wel trained and experienced. The breakfast spread was very good and had both buffet and items one can order. Now for cons, within the Taj properties I woukd give it a lower rank.. The weakest point of this resort is the F&B dept. Many drinks on menu and some food items in room dining, poolside bar and main restaurant were unavailable when ordered, in fact in one section only 3 of 10 oprions wete available. The dishes that were delivered at thenpoolside for example brocoli stir fry were completely inconsistent on two different occassions. The food options are limited onerall and I found the food at the poolside bar lacking in taste and quality. One diesnt expect this at a 5 star property. In fact we actuallybhad to go out for dinner one day as the choices are so limited. There was no turndown service as well. The gymnasium needs a complete overall with the age of the machines showing. To summarise its a nice property but the F&B needs to be improved significantly.

This is a beautiful property with picture perfect interiors and spread across a vast green landscape. The staff is impeccably professional and the services are perfect. Literally there are 0 faults that one can find here and if you are travelling to the Havelock Islands, do not look at any other resort to enjoy your vacation. A big big shoutout to our host Mr. Manit and his outstanding attention to detail which made our stay even more memorable. Last but not the least, do check out their chef's menu at the Settlers restaurant, it has a charm of its own.

Great experience at this Taj location. Food was great, and so was the service. Special mention to the kitchen and wait staff esp Shubham and his colleagues who took very good care of us for all our meals. They worked long hours, from the breakfast shift 7 am (or earlier) till end of dinner shift which would end closer to midnight (or later). Hats off to their enthusiasm and work ethic, esp when us guests are so demanding. The resort and the rooms were beautiful and everything was upto the Taj standards which was what we were expected. All the hotel staff accomodated all our wants and needs very well, we will definitely be coming back here soon.

The resort provided thoughtful touches, such as the candle light dinner at beach, custom cakes, surprise floating breakfast at our pool, and experienced personalized service, that made the entire celebration truly *magical and memorable*. Staff members consistently went above and beyond to create an unforgettable experience. I have been a fan of Taj, but the Taj Exotica Andaman just took it a few notches higher. A beautiful property, located in one of the finest beaches. But the best part is the human touch that has been instilled in the entire staff. They are so courteous and there to help. It is a learning in hospitality and they are a bench mark for all others to learn from.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Taj Andaman. It was a beautiful property, right next to Radhanagar beach. The food was superb. The staff was courteous. The staff had arranged a small celebration for our anniversary. We had the best time. Will definitely recommend others and will like to revisit the property again soon.

We recently visited Taj Andamans just for a meal, and the experience was exceptional. The North Indian food here is truly top-notch — rich, authentic flavours, perfectly balanced spices, and beautiful presentation. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations. A special appreciation to the to Sandeep and Prasanjit for their warm and attentive service, which made the dining experience even better. If you’re in the Andamans and craving quality North Indian cuisine, Taj is a must-visit.

This is a very difficult review to write because the staff and the location were fantastic. From the transfers to the beach staff everyone was helpful and kind. It is unbelievably beautiful and the property is well maintained but a little careworn. The guided tasting experience that we did on the last night was especially excellent. The issue here is the property, the room and especially the bathroom need a renovation. They are perfectly maintained but the patches are showing and to be truly 5* everything needs to feel and look brand new. The slatted floor in the bathroom is a pain if you drop an earring or something small and some drawers and closed door cupboards with full length hanging space would be preferable to all open shelving. That said I would still come back here in a heartbeat, we absolutely loved it.

We had dinner at the Turtle House during our stay here and the food was the best I have had in a very long time. Shout out to Snehashish and the chef, Mahesh, to make customized dishes as per our taste palettes. They even gave us smaller portions of certain dishes so that we could try as many as possible. Beautiful location, wonderful food and even better hosts! PS: if you are here, please try the jackfruit burger and lamb chops. BEST!!

Beautiful resort and extra ordinary service by Prasenjit. We would love to go back just for the excellent service and hospitality. Special mention to Subham who served us a delicious mocktail. The resort is located right on Radhanagar beach with a lovely view of the sunset.

We had a truly amazing and unforgettable experience at Taj. The arrival experience with welcome song sung by the excellent staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the premises and my kids played lot of games and had real fun. The calm and serene environment alongside Radhanagar beach made our stay truly blissful.

The rooms were amazing and the staff was brilliant Shivam, Sandeep, Jaydeep and vishal were amazing in giving us a brilliant first anniversary experience. They prepared jain food for us throughout our stay. The staff at their dive centre is also extremely supportive. They gave proper guidance.
