good
we were fairly late so some of the food was a bit dry.
Old world charm. Good meal.
Nothing.
Fantastic large room, comfortable & quality linens
Disappointingly the shower wouldn’t stay on without holding in the power button with one hand No lift - carrying heavy bags up to 2nd floor was tricky for us.
The location the history. Food and ambience was spot on.
Low beams and doorways- can’t do anything about it as it’s character
Lovely setting, comfortable rooms welcoming staff.
Excellent service and lovely hotel
Good service and value for money
Beautiful building in very pleasant grounds, all immaculately maintained. Very helpful, polite, well presented staff, plus comfortable room and excellent food. Value for money for the quality was incredibly good.
Nothing!
Character
All good very happy
Just an awsome place. Ideal short break.
Only downside was the noise from the main road. Not the hotels fault and it was very warm so we did have windows open which did not help.
The room, and a comfy 4 poster bed
Road noise
Lovely decor, room was spacious and the service was excellent.
Nothing
Room was amazing staff very pleasant 10/10
Nothing it was perfect night away
We stayed in the luxury suite which was lovely and romantic. We had an evening meal and enjoyed the 2012 menu which was very good value. The continental breakfast had so much choice that we didn’t try the cooked options that were available for an extra charge. We stayed to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary as we got married at Weston Hall and the surprise bottle of fizz was a lovely gesture.
Nothing and we were grateful for the fan in the room.
Perfect overnight stay with lovely dinner
I expected more. I thought it was going to be more prestigious and while it may be great for weddings, its little more than a family hotel with an OK restaurant
Access. Simply finding reception was a challenge, especially arriving at Sunday lunch. Often passed open doors to storerooms or kitchens. Staff were ok but not overly friendly (except person serving breakfast). Dinner in the cellars was disappointing - the fish was so artificial and had no taste.
Great location for visits to Ingestre. Room lovely and very clean. Beds comfortable. Staff super friendly.
Nothing.
We spontaneously popped in here on a Wednesday and had lunch in the atmospheric Cellar restaurant . We were very happy with our choices of a beef roast dinner and a huge fish with chips, then dessert £20 pp absolutely amazing offer. They didn't scrimp on the portion sizes and the quality was *4 . Staff were young ladies, in training, professional , smart and polite. There was a wedding upstairs and outside, some guest eating. Happy and friendly atmosphere. Already recommended to a few people and will be back ourselves.
Everything, room and hotel was amazing!
Check in was a little confusing to find. But not a huge issue.
Stylish and historical. Beds comfy and outside terrace beautiful. Food was also v good - continental breakfast first class
No a/c meant sleeping was uncomfortable but it was unbelievable warm weather. !
Delicious food, constant supply of tea/coffee and excellent service.
Nice property
We had a couple of issues but dealt with quickly
Avoid if you are disabled because theres little access if you have a disability. We stayed overnight and the bedrooms are on the top floor, there is no lift, just 54 stairs and the climb is steep. On the plus side its a lovely place, built in 1510 and a lot of the historical features can be seen. The staff are all excellent, good teamwork and they are very focused on customer service. Great place for a wedding. As a listed building there are limitations such as providing a lift but a big improvement would be to build some overnight accomodation lodges in the ground for anybody who disabled.
Beautiful property, great location, comfortable room and friendly staff great value for money.
Having worked in hospitality for many years, including managing bars and restaurants with one operating at a 2 AA Rosette standard, I appreciate the challenges the industry faces. I visited on 11th July with my mum to celebrate her birthday. We've dined here on several previous occasions and have always enjoyed the food, which makes this visit even more disappointing. Unfortunately, all of the draught beer and cider was unavailable due to the hot weather. While this is understandable, we ordered a Bacardi and Coke and found the Coke to be completely flat. I then ordered a bottle of beer and a half lemonade to make a shandy, only to find the lemonade was also flat. It's fairly common knowledge that if cellar cooling is struggling in extreme temperatures, post-mix soft drinks can often be affected too, so this should have been checked before service. The menu also felt very limited and lacked the quality and creativity I remembered, with dishes feeling more like standard pub food than those worthy of such a beautiful venue. I chose the chicken skewers, which consisted of just three small pieces of chicken, accompanied by dry mushrooms and what can only be described as a tired, unappealing salad. My mum ordered the mango curry with added chicken. While pleasant enough, it was very bland and could have benefited from a little chilli or seasoning to give it some flavour. Service was also disappointing. The lady who seated us said she would bring over a jug of water, but it never arrived, and we didn't see her again for the remainder of our visit. To add to the atmosphere, 1930s-style music was playing throughout the meal, which felt completely out of place for the setting. With such an incredible building and beautiful surroundings, it's a shame to see the overall standard slip so much compared with our previous visits. I genuinely wanted this visit to be as enjoyable as those we've had before, especially as it was a birthday celebration. Sadly, it fell well below expectations. I sincerely hope standards improve because this venue has so much potential, but based on this experience, I don't think we'll be returning until they do.
Absolutely excellent in all respects
I liked everything
Beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, excellent staff
Breakfast was poor, had much better at chain hotels
Superb.. Beautiful room, staff friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast too.

Beautiful hotel in stunning grounds. Lovely rooms.
No complaints
Beautiful rooms and fab food .
Could have done with air conditioning
Beautiful building adapted to be a hotel.
No lift to upper bedroom 3 floors up. Obvious Main entrance was occupied by a private party. Signage to reception beneath was poor. Sunday evening meal service is restricted as the restaurant closes at 19:30. 20:30 during the week. Alternative is another nearby hotel in the chain around a mile away. No central heating. Bedroom was very hot. A fan was provided. Tea and coffee in the room, but no minibar or somewhere to keep drinks cool
The property is beautifully presented and everything was immaculately clean.
The smallest of gripes, but why out the tea tray in the cupboard? So many hotels do this now - but it’s a faff to get it all out! Also, breakfast was a buffet (there was a full menu of other breakfast dishes also available) and as we were 9.15 ish to arrive, options had depleted. I know another couple mentioned there were no boiled eggs, bread choices, meats had almost gone - and yogurts were the fruit compote sort, so very sugary - a Greek yogurt would be a great addition. The food quality was lovely - but I don’t think this was their full selection.
Couldn’t fault the hotel and the staff , the room was a good size and extremely clean and comfortable . Food in the restaurant was very good .
Nothing
Great location and grounds . Lovely staff
Dinner a bit disappointing . Mussels dry and dessert posset not set . Freshness all around could be better . But dinner service excellent and breakfast too . Hotel signage not clear on arrival you check in at the bar .
It was our first time at Weston Hall having the afternoon tea but it won't be our last as it was delicious. We loved all the food especially the sandwiches and the scones with clotted cream and jam were exceptional. Amazing friendly staff and great service throughout our afternoon tea. I would highly recommend.
We visited as part of a birthday celebration. We were lucky enough that the sun was shining as the terrace outside is really lovely to sit on. The outside bar is a great touch too. The grounds and building were stunning. Plenty of parking. All of the staff were really lovely and helpful. The lunch time set menu was very well priced but I opted for a roast meat cob and chips. Others in our group had booked the afternoon tea. This also looked lovely although there were a few items missing (scratchings, sausage rolls) and no one came to ask if they wanted a top up of tea or coffee. I’ve marked it down for a couple of reasons. The smell when you walk in is extremely off putting, I’m not sure if they smoke their own food but the place stank of smoked fish. Secondly, while it’s meant to be cosy, the seats around the bar area for the afternoon tea just aren’t very comfortable. All in all it was a nice afternoon. As it was a distance to drive I ask myself was it good enough to return? No, I don’t think it was.
Large well appointed bedroom, good evening meal
Commercial radio playing during breakfast
Perfect location for our visit to the showground.
Beautiful ground and property, decorated and finished to a brilliant standard. Staff really helpful, especially with sorting a cot out for our baby. We had a three course dinner at the Cellar and the food was fantastic - some of the best food we’ve had in a while.
Would have liked a kettle and a fridge in our room.
Visited on Thursday 28th May 2026 and was disappointed, the food was average at best with the Spiced Burger being dry and the 10 chips quite frankly an embarrassment considering this must have been the cheapest part of the meal and all of this for £21.00 what a bargain. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive - other than no one asked me how the food was. Their is no disputing that the location and building with the outside seating area is beautiful, but i wont be visiting for food anytime soon which is a real shame as i used to think it was always one of the top 5 places to eat in Stafford.
Beautiful terrace, lovely on a sunny day. Really polite and attentive staff, great menu and drinks selection!
Loved the whole place.
One staff member tried to be really efficient but kept forgetting about us.
Just wow………and not in a good way
Very pleasant one night stay at Weston Hall. Nice to find a Hotel that retains traditional standards of service and quality. The hotel is very grand looking and sits in well maintained grounds (perhaps lawn mowing at 730 am could be rescheduled) with a large car park and very comfortable lounge ( leather comfy seating) and dining room. A good menu with a very reasonably priced set menu was enjoyed followed by drinks in the lounge all pleasantly served until well after 1100 pm. Large, clean bedroom with separate bathroom was very comfy and breakfast was served in another pleasant room. All in all a one night stay which was so relaxed that it felt like a week. Expect to be back for further adventures
Impressive building near to Stafford with good restaurent and very welcoming staff at a reasonable rate.
Room af the top of the house up several flights if stairs.
Came for Sunday lunch today...5 of us (and a baby bump) for my mums 80th birthday! From the moment we walked through the door mum was treated like a queen! Nothing was too much trouble! Food was absolutely amazing and stunningly presented! The room was beautiful and so very relaxed! Now to mention the staff didn't catch names but they were all outstanding and so very friendly! Made mum cry when they sang happy birthday! Honestly cannot thank you all enough for a beautiful day.xxx
Attended today, 3rd for a family lunch. Very impressed with the venue, menu and certainly the four members of staff who each provided a very friendly, professional and effective service. Thank you.
Beautiful quiet setting and magnificent building. Large well appointed bedrooms
Bed was super comfy Staff were great
Three flights of stairs to get to your room. Check in is in the bar.
Lovely old building,nice restaurant
Lots of stairs and quite dark
The hotel is located within stunning grounds. The staff were attentive and very helpful. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The food in The Cellar restaurant was very tasty and reasonably priced. We will be a returning guest
Northing
Really enjoyedcour stay at Weston Hall. The room was lovely and very well equipped with everything we could need. We had a delicious meal in the cellar restaurant inbthe evening. The continental breakfast was very pleasant and offered a very good of food. All the staff were very courteous and friendly.
We chose to have our lovely mum's wake here as she had spent many happy occasions celebrating important milestones in her life at Weston Hall. The setting was beautiful, the staff were efficient and welcoming and the buffet was delicious. It made a sad day a little easier and very personal due to a meeting with the lovely Laura to gain an insight into our vision for the day. As a family we were so impressed we have booked our joint special birthday celebration in August. ❤️
The quality of the accommodation was superb, staff brilliant - loved every aspect of the stay
Nothing
Wonderful setting from location, gardens, building exterior, restaurant, bar and topped off with exceptional bedrooms. The evening meal in the cellar was tasty, portion size spot on with beautiful flavour.
Staircase to bedrooms, but to be expected in maintaining the buildings history. The addition of a spa would make this location outstanding
Lovely traditional building
Well kept. As before traditional & not been ruined by updating.
Warm and comfortable
NO LIFT. a lot of stairs to bedrooms. Therefore not suitable for clients with limited mobility!!!
I loved my stay at Weston Hall - the rooms are so beautiful and gorgeously decorated and the location is perfect. I loved the special touch of coffee and tea in a basket with milk and gorgeous biscuits and had a fabulous dinner and gorgeous breakfast. Staff were so friendly and accommodating and I felt very welcome. Also, they do fantastic afternoon teas - although I arrived to late to be able to enjoy one myself, I saw one laid out and it looked superb and was very popular.
I loved everything about my stay at Weston Hall, I cannot fault anything.

nothing
Amazing place full of character.

Afternoon tea booked, ordered one normal and one savoury We arrived on time and was shown to our table, waited at least 25 minutes to offered menu to choose drinks, once chosen waited another 20 minutes to be served tea and coffee, no milk for drinks, had to flag someone down to get milk and coffee was lukewarm. After considerable wait we received our afternoon tea, there was already jam and cream on the table, we asked if it was for our scones or from previous booking, we were informed it was for us, concerning as it was obvious it had been previously used. We were offered additional sandwiches part way through but not any more drinks, the lounge was getting quieter by this time, as ALL staff had disappeared to another area. There was a manager making cocktails for a photo shoot behind bar but he was obviously not interested in watching the room at the same time, after almost 45 minutes I had to go for a walk to ask if we could pay our bill. Not the usual high standard we come to expect at Weston Hall, we can not blame the staff for the lack of attention, the Manager or supervisor on duty has no inclination to Manage the room or guide the staff. It would be helpful if supervisors were more identifiable, not just a person not in uniform walking behind the bar occasionally. Maybe it is the Manager and supervisors that require additional training Your customers deserve better
Gone downhill!! We’ve been to Weston hall for the past couple of mothers day’s and had a lovely experience every time. So naturally I booked for this Mother’s Day as soon as I could to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately this year we were so disappointed. They had changed the starter menu so we couldn’t have the normal prawn cocktail starter we have. It was a seafood starter so we opted for the chicken liver parfait. It was absolutely revolting, the texture and taste was awful. Sent back via the waitress. Main course was the roast beef which was full of fat. In previous years there were sides on the table to help yourself to, this year seems completely scaled back and tasteless. We were totally disappointed that the menu had changed for the worse and if I had known this I would have booked elsewhere for our Mother’s Day meal.
The room had a real wow factor and was very clean. The drink hamper was one of the best we've seen with plenty of choice and the option to make more than one drink each, great for me as I like to start my day with a cup of tea! The shower was very good and the toiletries smelled great making showering a pleasure.
Everything was good, a couple of minor points only: it was not overly clear where you were meant to check in and the toilet roll holder was in rather an awkward position particularly for a left handed person.
Appearance, style, location, facilities, staff.
Nothing.
Amazing setting, great staff, spacious room
Always a lovely ambience friendly staff food excellent place is so relaxing beautiful inside and out plenty of choices
breakfast was a simple continental but the cooked breakfast was good
desert in the restaurant was not very good but the rest of the meal was good
Staff were wonderful but the walls a paper thin and we could hear everything in the room next door when they were in the bathroom so were when every time they flushed a toilet or had a shower. Evening meal was lovely.
sadly the noise from the bedroom next door did affect the stay
room was large and clean, dinner was excellent staff were friendly
unfortunately the room next to our room , their bathroom was right next to my bed, so when they got up at 5.15 am in the morning i was able to hear everything in the bathroom, sound proof was absent. I chose to stay here as it was close to staffordshire show ground and have a goood night sleep until 5.15 am unfortunately. Everything else was great, but that was poor.
We held our wedding at Weston Hall on 16th February and had the most incredible day. From the very beginning, the planning process was such an enjoyable experience. Laura and Olivia were so lovely in the lead up to the wedding, making sure every detail was taken care of and that everything ran smoothly. A special thank you as well to Rachel for helping us set everything up the day before, it made such a difference and really put our minds at ease. On the day itself, everything went perfectly. We honestly can’t thank Ollie enough for running the day so wonderfully; he was incredible from start to finish and ensured everything flowed seamlessly. We felt completely relaxed knowing we were in such capable hands. The wedding breakfast and evening food were amazing, with very generous portions that all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed. The service throughout was exceptional, and all of the lovely team on the day helped everything run so smoothly while making us and our guests feel extra special. We would highly recommend Weston Hall to anyone looking for a truly special wedding experience.
We visited Weston Hall this evening for their advertised Valentine’s romantic dinner, which we had chosen to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Firstly, the menu advertised online was not the same as the one provided on arrival. This was particularly frustrating as the advertised menu was the main reason we chose to book Weston Hall for such a special occasion. There was no prior communication about the change, which felt misleading. As it was Valentine’s night and everywhere else was fully booked, we felt compelled to stay and order from the revised menu despite our disappointment. Service was also very slow, with 30–40 minutes between courses, which made the evening drag rather than feel relaxed and enjoyable. To make matters worse, it was 2 degrees outside and we were seated next to a single-pane window. The cold was unbearable — we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal, which completely ruined the romantic atmosphere we were expecting. There was also a party taking place above us. At first, it sounded like constant stamping overhead, but it soon turned into a loud disco. The music was so loud that the window was vibrating and we could barely hear each other speak. For what was advertised as a romantic Valentine’s evening, this was completely inappropriate. It’s a real shame, as we had organised babysitters and made special arrangements for the evening, but in the end we were so fed up that we left early and went home. Before leaving, I spoke to the manager to share my disappointment, and while he did apologise, it did not change the overall experience of the evening. Overall, this was not the special anniversary experience we had hoped for, and sadly, we will not be returning
Great location, lovely room, good food and good value for money
Room was really hot and dressing gowns were synthetic , shower wasn’t great
We held our wedding at Weston Hall on the 31st December 2025. We had a fantastic day with the help of the brilliant events team lead by Laura and helped by Ollie, Rachel and Olivia, who made the whole planning experience thoroughly enjoyable. The day itself went perfectly, the wedding breakfast and the evening food was amazing and they were very generous portions enjoyed by all the guests. The service was exceptional and all the staff are first class and make the day special. We booked all eight rooms for our guests and all rooms are finished to a high standard, the only down side is that anyone with mobility issues would struggle as the rooms are on the top floor and there is no lift available. The day will be a talking point for some time to come. We would highly recommend to everyone.
Parking . Aplenty
Show me where to check in. It was dark. At least a sign to reception which was in fact ‘reception’
Beautiful building, historical and well maintained throughout. Staff were exceptional, food amazing, ambience perfect. A delightful atmosphere and ambience. Staff only to happy to accommodate and they were so friendly and happy in their work. Everywhere was spotless and a gorgeous suite.
Nothing!
It’s was lovely - bit difficult to find where to book in but otherwise excellent
Nothing
Brilliant friendly staff. Lovely 4 poster room.
Problem with heating...but sorted quickly.
Excellent stay. The cellar restaurant also offers fantastic food. 10/10 Will return for a 3rd time in the near future :)
Totally adore the character and charm loving restored to each part of this hall . The lights on the way in on trees are such a graceful and grand scene Beautifully executed
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like other than troubling the night steward to let my partner with are late night pistachio and chocolate and fruits desert order in From a local desert shop in Stafford it was smooth and all in order . The night steward actually gave us forks and napkins so thoughtful
Customer service
3 flights of steep stairs to our bedroom
Lovely building , bedroom was cold and heating briken but the staff bought heaters and were really helpful Food fantastic
Matress could be better
Great location, fantastic staff wonderful food room first class can’t wait to go back
Nothing
Lovely building and grounds
Rooms paper thin, so noisy. The toilets were macerating toilets, so loud. Music playing below and in a marquee outside, vibrated the room until midnight. No sleep and the green emergency light in the room lit the whole room up.
