Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Staff very welcoming and many times we saw how much they care about giving very good service and having good facilities. They were all very hard working and friendly. The layout is very practical, well thought out and easy to follow after one day and everything is within a five minute walk. Everything is accessible for people with disabilities, walking is flat or with elevators and there is shade within 10 feet of you everywhere. The room was more than spacious enough with a large walk-in shower, very good water pressure and detachable wand and ceiling shower head as well as comfortable bed, couch and chairs, private balcony and well insulated for keeping sound out. There is a little smell when you walk into the room that disappears after a few minutes but that is probably true in all rooms along caribbean beaches. My husband works in mold remediation and did not find any concern for mold growth anywhere. There is a party atmosphere but no one was disrespectful and we never saw anyone acting intoxicated. The layout allows you be at party/games area at the beach and pool, which only happens during a couple of hours in the afternoon, or be at other end at the quieter pools, water park or The Boulevard. There were some food options that were very excellent and some that were just okay. Theatre shows okay but lighting and sound uncomfortable. Ice breaker fun. We walked 3 miles of beach and Lopesan had the nicest portion.

Would have loved a swim up bar but besides that no complaints. The 24 hour bar restaurant is perfect. Loved the Mexican French and Steak House. Really enjoyed the sports bar. Went out and partied at Infinity lounge and the terrace bar and we also had a blast.

Enormous resort with different activities and different varieties of restaurant. Nice views, clean rooms, huge pool.

Friendliness and professionalism of staff, great pools and restaurants on site.

Upon arrival we was greeted with a glass of champagne. When We were done, taking over to check in where Donnie checked us in and allowed us into our room early.

The resort is beautiful but the dining needs work. The food does not seem crash and I got very ill. The bottled water is also questionable. I give it a 3 out 5 stars.

The resort looks good however the customer service is not there as expected from someone traveling into the facilit expecting the service we are paying for.

This was our second and last vacation at Lopesan. For families traveling with kids, there are plenty of activities to keep them entertained. The hotel and the property are beautiful, and the infrastructure is amazing — but that’s where the positives end. The beach is full of seaweed and looks like it’s not being cleaned at all. The music at the pool area is too loud, and there are many boats on the beach playing the same loud music. There’s no quiet place to relax. The pool towels were dirty and smelly. It seems like they don’t wash them properly — just dry and fold them. The food is below average, with the same limited selection at the buffets every day. The restaurants are just okay. The service is the worst we’ve ever experienced. There are no waiters on the beach or at the pool area — you might see one once a day. The staff is very difficult to communicate with and barely speak any English. We had to speak to at least four people before we could get our morning coffee. The biggest disappointment was the cleaning service. It seems like they only make the bed and change the towels. The floor wasn’t mopped for three days, there was small trash everywhere, and hair remained on the surfaces. I had to ask the cleaning lady personally to mop the floor - she still didn’t do it. Then I left a note in Spanish and they finally clean it. I should mention that we tipped them well every day. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you don’t want to be disappointed on your vacation.

The room view was appropriate and the Spa service was excellent. The facilities , grounds , pool are and beach were always in top shape. We really enjoyed our stay , this is our second visit to the property looking forward to number 3.

This property is amazing. Amazing staff. Specially Hansel Piantini from the Italian Restaurant Gondola. He went above and beyond to meet our needs in avery way possible. I HIGHLY recommend this all inclusive resort. We celebrated our son 2nd birthday and we had a blast. Kids area outstanding Amazing food, amazing entertainment, amazing everything. Our family has no complaints at all. Keep up the good work Lopesan. Definitely coming back.

While the rooms and showers were absolutely top-notch—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed—the dining experience left much to be desired. We found ourselves eating the same food every day, and unfortunately, it was consistently cold. The drinks were also watered down, which added to our frustration. For a resort of this caliber, we expected better variety and quality in the food and beverage offerings. That said, the resort itself is stunning and has great potential. With improvements to the dining experience, it could truly be a five-star destination.

Overall beautiful property . First impression was not impressed with the quality of service as we were provided a room that was not cleaned prior to us checking in. This provided a dissatisfying first impression as a guest .Odor of mildew within the hotel and hotel room was off putting. Expected a better experience

The front lobby staff are helpful but not too friendly. My room had a humid smell. The hotel is big but poorly signage to follow easy to get lost and you have to walk a lot. The restaurant staff are super friendly that was nice to enjoy a good time with them. Is a family property but has adults only spots that was also nice

GREAT solo trip! 3 days was not enough time for me to truly enjoy the resort. They had sooo much to offer. I wasn’t able to try every restaurant on the resort but the food in every place i did try was 10/10 ‼️ the only con was the wait time for the food at the specialty restaurants. It was really good but takes forever to come out. My shower started to flood my room but maintenance and housekeeping came about 30 minutes later to rectify the situation. You need a full day to explore the resort to be honest so that you don’t rob yourself of the entire experience they have to offer. The SPA IS AN EASY 1000/10 ‼️the service was AMAZINGGGGGG !!! The beach was clean, the pools were out of this world. The adult only areas were peaceful. The rooms were super clean and restocked daily. I literally can’t wait to come back with my family next year. I’ll be posting my full experience on my TikTok @anointedlocs

The pool view was ok but not great. The room was in Perfect clean conditions. The hotel Staff was outstanding our concierge Oliver de la Cruz was amazing booking our restaurant, check in , check out and luggage.

The check-in time was 2 hours. We had a long trip and were very hungry on our arrival at the facilities. We waited 2 hours to check-in at the property.

This place is beautiful. At first I was skeptical about booking because of the bad reviews. But I am glad I did not listen to it. This is a family, single, adults… resort. It has separate sections that are adults only but over all has everything you need to have fun. Bars, pools, night clubs, water park, fancy restaurants and buffets, unlimited eating and drinking. The food is good for the most part. Buffets food are somehow better than the restaurants for the most part. Will definitely come again!!!

The resort was stunning with a truly exceptional service! The staff was very warm, friendly and attentive. Among the team, Esneimer and Paola stood out as our favorite. Their kindness and professionalism made our experience even more memorable!

Very clean rooms. Food was great for an all inclusive. Especially the Italian. Coffee shop was my go to in the mornings. The grounds were immaculate , staff was on point … it helped to have my Spanish speaking friend with us. The only negative (but wasn’t bad) was the boats parked in the water. Spoiled the view.

Beautiful property with great amenities. Our concierge Jimmy was excellent and arranged our dinner reservations and had a birthday cake sent as well. I highly recommend this place!

We asked for an upgrade to adult only section, they charged us extra and said that would cover premium alcohol and adult only area access. 30 min later at the dinner we learned from the waiter that this upgrade is useless, there is no premium alcohol covered under this “upgrade”, no access to adult section, NOTHING !!! They made us loose 3 more hours talking to different people to get a refund, all are useless, disputing the transaction now and not coming back to this hotel ever again!!!

Tha room was very clean. The service was excellent. The unique detail I will add is a transportation inside the place.

Horrible hotel, food and drinks

We really enjoyed the hotel — it was clean, beautiful, and cozy. The food was tasty but not very diverse. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay.

Lopesan, the property is beautiful, but it has limited activities. The restaurant quality is not up to par, and the property layout is spread out, with restaurants located far from the rooms. Sadly the property restaurant options was over-rated and did not provide the quality that Lopesan stand for

The rooms were extremely humid, to the point where the bed sheets felt damp and uncomfortable. There was a noticeable musty smell which made the stay very unpleasant. Pool was nice tho , service was good , beach had alot of seaweed . Wouldn’t return here .

So many things to do. The staff was excellent. And amazing.

The rooms were clean and fresh. Every morning cleaning crew would do an excellent job at cleaning the rooms. The food was also good. Great selection to choose from but the best place to eat at was the Asian spot. The food there was awesome. Staff was very polite and hospitable also attentive to your needs. Pools everywhere and the water park was excellent. Me and my family enjoyed this resort a ton

Amazing location

The property was great. The pool, shows, bars and dining was great. My room didn't have a iron and the refrigerator wasn't working. I called several times to have it fix/changed - No one ever came and i spent my vacation with no refrigerator. Service in the dinning area was amazing.

Great staff and service. Very high end and top quality food and drinks. The AC was working perfectly fine, the only issue was that the shower did smell a bit weird but we covered it with toilet paper.

Overall great stay but rooms have a moisture/humidity issue. Had to be moved to another room. Rooms service is spotty and sometimes didn’t show up or wrong items were delivered. Beautiful property and fun pool. Beach is not nice so if that’s what you’re looking for go elsewhere. Also bring enough cash for tips. The ATM is horrible and doesn’t have a correct exchange rate. The wait staff is amazing 10/10! Needed my safe unlocked so I could use it and they never showed up in 4 days. A lot of food selections, although not all great. Great atmosphere specially at night and so many places to lounge. The night club and the theatre are 10/10! They put on a great show! We loved the Michael Jackson show. Also the kids enjoyed bowling (not included) and the teen club and water park were a lot of fun. My daughter loved the monkey excursion and we rented a private boat tour for 20 people and that was amazing! Estefani (Agua Viva) at the pool was the best and Hansen as well! They made our stay so much more enjoyable. The kids in our group ages 7-16 had a blast. Honestly not sure I would go back due to rooms and beach.

I stayed at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino and honestly, I would not recommend it. The customer service was terrible from start to finish. Check-in: We waited over 45 minutes just to check in and still didn’t get a room right away. Staff insisted on holding our luggage and made us wait until our entire party arrived so a bellboy could walk us to the rooms — completely unnecessary and a huge waste of time after traveling. The staff overall felt more focused on tips than providing actual service. Rooms: The rooms were underwhelming for the price. No jacuzzi, cheap setup, and awkwardly designed bathrooms that aren’t fully sealed — uncomfortable when sharing with others. Most outlets in both the room and even the lobby were so loose they barely worked; I literally had to use a pillow to keep my charger in place. Definitely not “luxury.” Restaurants: We had a party of 12, and of course with a large group, sometimes you’re a few minutes late. At several restaurants, we arrived just 10 minutes late to reservations. The restaurants were practically empty, yet staff still refused to seat us. Instead, they made us wait until they served other guests — even though the place stayed empty. It felt like they went out of their way to be unhelpful. The food and drinks themselves were mediocre at best, with service painfully slow. Checkout: The final insult was at checkout. They required us to return beach towels in exchange for towel cards before we could leave
