Hotel Brummell

The location of this hotel is perfect, in a really quiet but very cool neighbourhood, surrounded by amazing bars, restaurants and museums. The hotel itself is very contemporary, relaxed and calming - a perfect retreat for a city break. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful - they were brilliant.

Some robes in the rooms would be nice so you could wear them to the pool/sauna. Apart form that everything was great!

Comfortable bed. Had washing machine dryer in one. Close to marina and restaurants.

Early Check-In & Warm Welcome: I arrived early at 11:00 AM, and to my delight, my room was already prepared. The front desk staff was incredible—he walked me through all the hotel amenities, showed me how to access everything, and went above and beyond by giving me detailed directions to and from my concert venue. He even gave me a thoughtful heads-up to watch my belongings, reminding me that Barcelona is a busy city. Great Amenities & Thoughtful Extras: The hotel offers free filtered water refills, which was a huge plus during the warm days. They also have a fantastic honesty bar, perfect if you want something beyond standard vending machine snacks and drinks. Above-and-Beyond Flexibility: On my departure day, I checked out and spent the day exploring the city, only to discover later that my flight was delayed. The hotel staff kindly allowed me to relax on the pool terrace while waiting and even offered me a place to shower before heading to the airport. Beautiful Rooms: The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully decorated, and furnished with wonderful taste.

El desayuno tan aclamado, no se puede experimentar porque no lo reservamos de adelanto, para un huésped que se gasta 300 y poucos euros en una habitación esto es un absurdo. ; los huéspedes deben ser siempre tratados impecablemente; el hotel no puede, de manera alguna, decir a un hospede que no puede desayunar y probar el “super” desayuno porque no lo ha reservado; y además de colocar ese huésped a comer por carta, para comer por carta me voy a la calle.

I rarely write reviews on Booking, but this place deserves one. It is the combination of genuinely warm, natural hospitality and very intelligent architecture. The staff are among the friendliest I have ever encountered in a hotel: relaxed, authentic, efficient and lovely. You get the feeling that the owners must be cool people that chose the staff they appreciate. Architecturally, the hotel is very special. It feels contemporary and distinctive, yet completely at home in Poble Sec. From the terrace, you are right in the middle of the surrounding residential buildings, but somehow it never feels intrusive. The proportions are just right, and the building seems to belong there, in dialogue with the neighborhood. A success. The terrace and small pool are a real pleasure, the rooms are spacious and peaceful, with pleasant open views, and the price is very reasonable for the quality. Most of all, the hotel has atmosphere. It feels stylish without being artificial, local without trying too hard, and genuinely human. You feel good. Definitely my go-to hotel in Barcelona.

Очень стильный, комфортный и спокойный отель. В номере есть все необходимое. Очень удобная кровать. Отель находится на безопасной и спокойной улице. Очень понравилось наличие ночника в уборной. Отдельно хочется отметить дружелюбность и клиентоориентированность сотрудников отеля. Я заезжала поздно и у меня был ряд проблем. Сотрудники отеля пошли мне на встречу во всех вопросах и очень помогли, огромная благодарность за это. Даже расстроилась, что пробыла в этом отеле так недолго. В следующий раз в Барселоне остановлюсь именно здесь на более долгий срок.

Sauberkeit der Zimmer, freundliches Personal.

Ausstattung der Zimmer eher mau. Nur eine Wasserflasche im Kühlschrank und im Bad keine Klobürste vorhanden. Keine Selbstbedienung beim Frühstück. Nach Bestellung wird das Essen an den Tisch gebracht. Obwohl das Frühstück in meiner Buchung inbegriffen war, hieß es, eine zusätzliche Bestellung von z. B. einem Schokocroissant müsste extra bezahlt werden. Die Lage des Hotels ist zwar in der Nähe der Innenstadt und man kommt schnell überall hin. Liegt jedoch in einer etwas heruntergekommenen Siedlung.

I felt like I was in someone’s home not a hotel. It was so clean and comfortable. The toiletries that they make and supply in the rooms is enchanting. The cafe has the smoothest mostly delectable coffee. It also has the most tart and flavorful lemonade, picture below of my son and I enjoying it! All of the staff made me feel like they were happy to have me stay. This will be my exclusive go to upon my return.

The elevator was broken for a short time and I had to exit the steps which were outside. If you are afraid of heights it is disconcerting.

Excellent facilities. Excellent customer service. Great Coffee shop with amazing coffee, breakfast and vibes. Ezequiel did the check in at reception and he is very professional, kind and helpful! Really great experience. Will be back!

Hotel Brummell is a tastefully designed hotel, it has a chic lobby with a lovely cafe serving a delicious full breakfast. The rooftop is gorgeous, has a small pool and chairs and many seating areas full of plant life. The staff at this hotel are very kind and are available for all requests and information sharing. I really like the details like the yellow and white towels by the pool, the honesty bar that has perfect snacks for a late night treat, the free half day bike rental, the Austrian pastries at the cafe, and the location is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel had a funky and fresh feel to it. The rooms were comfortable. The plunge pool was very welcome on a hot afternoon. The breakfast (inc) was beautifully presented. The neighbourhood was charming, with delicious restaurants.

Great Location

My wife and I visit Barcelona once or twice a year, usually around FC Barcelona matches, and this time we wanted something different from the more touristy areas where we had stayed before. Hotel Brummell was exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood felt much more local, authentic, and enjoyable than some of the busier tourist districts, while still being very well connected to the rest of the city. The hotel itself has fantastic design and a very relaxed atmosphere. We extended our stay for the entire week and worked remotely from Barcelona, so having comfortable shared spaces and a welcoming environment was important to us. The pool area was beautiful and became one of our favorite places to spend time, even if the weather was a little cool during our visit. What truly stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in making sure guests had a great experience. They not only explained the hotel but also shared recommendations about the neighborhood and offered assistance with transportation and reservations. The café downstairs was another highlight, serving excellent coffee and a great mix of local and international breakfast options. The pa amb tomàquet was delicious, and the filter coffee was among the best we had during our stay.

The only real downside was the price. While we understand that design-focused boutique hotels come at a premium, we felt the rate was slightly higher than ideal for a week-long stay. A somewhat lower price point would make it even more attractive for travelers looking to spend several days in Barcelona rather than just a short weekend. As remote workers, we would also love to see a few more work-friendly features. The Wi-Fi was generally reliable enough for everyday work, but dedicated workspaces, additional power outlets in common areas, or a couple of private booths for video calls would make the hotel even better for guests combining travel and work.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect. Spacious and comfortable room, great breakfast, location, lovely (small) pool area and truly friendly and helpful staff. Wil definitely stay here again when visiting Barcelona.

Der Style hat uns sehr gut gefallen aber das Beste ist das Personal. Alle sind unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Der Dachgarten ist ein sehr schön und entspannend nach dem Sightseeing. Da wir Ostern dort waren, haben wir den Pool nicht genutzt. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut und für Mittag- oder Abendessen hatten wir tolle Tipps des Personals. Wir können auch die Fahrräder sehr empfehlen. Damit kommt man beispielsweise sehr schnell zum Strand. Es gibt gute Fahrradwege und beim Check-In erhält man eine Karte mit Vorschlägen für kleine Touren. Gleich vor dem Hotel gibt es einen schönen Weg auf den Montjuïc hinauf. Leider war unsere Zeit zu kurz, um alles oben anzusehen.

Es ist ein kleines bisschen ab vom Schuss aber mit Fußmarsch und öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln kommt man überall gut hin. Auf diese Weise sieht man ein Viertel, das man als Tourist wahrscheinlich ansonsten nur vom Berg Montjuïc aus sehen würde.
