Campanile Hotel - Shanghai Jing'an Temple

Good location. A short walk to a subway station containing 3 lines. Close to French Concession too (I’d stay somewhere there next time).

Breakfast was very, very average. Maybe someone new in the kitchen would help.

Everything ok, cleanliness, friendliness, professionalism, ... good and rich Chinese and European breakfast. Furthermore, the hotel is located in a very central position in Shanghai, approximately 150 metres from the entrance to the metro lines 2, 7 and 14 .

The included breakfast was great, and had a big variety of different foods! The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was also great and super convenient for travel.

There was relatively poor noise isolation between rooms, and we could hear the snoring of our neighbors. The bathroom was decent although didn't have great ventilation, and some lights didn't work in the bathroom or wardrobe area.

Access to metro was the best thing at that location, given the traffic in the city. The breakfast was true Campanile style, there was variety for all and it was fulfilling

早餐簡單，但是足夠每日早餐所需，很實在，可惜許多食物過油，蔬菜有點偏少，其餘都很好！

有些地板、桌面會黏黏的，感覺上一位使用完後並沒有清理乾淨，有點可惜了整體的好氛圍。

The location of the hotel is really really convenient. It only takes you a few minutes to to reach line 2, 7 and 14 which makes it super easy to go anywhere you want. The staff was friendly and always tryed to help with whatever we needed. They also gave us a new room after we asked them for one as the carpets in the hallways of the 4th floor were changed and the work on it was quite loud in the morning. The beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately, there's a mechanism at night that turns on the bathroom light automatically when you enter the bathroom (can't be turned off) which is super annoying as you just want to go to the toilet and not get waken up by way too bright light. It also wakes up your partner... Our recommendation for the hotel is to uninstall this mechanism as soon as possible. We've seen the pictures of the room before our arrival. The elevated bed through the stairs were therefore not a surprise for us, but after staying there for 7 nights I would say that the stairs and elevation are rather inconvenient and unnecessarily take away otherwise useful space. Having experienced it now, I don't really get which advantage this could bring. As mentioned above, the hotel staff immediately changed our room on request. The only thing I would therefore say is that since these constructions are planned by the hotel, it should rather refrain from renting out rooms that are affected by this in the first place. Or start the construction works after 10 AM. But of course, all points mentioned above are not a deal breaker. The price-performance ration was good.

Excelente ubicación, muy comodo para descansar y habitación espaciosa con buen sistema de aire acondicionado. Ademas el paquete de bienvenida estuvo muy lindo.

Hôtel hyper bien situé pour visiter le quartier de la mode à quelques blocs (comparable à Soho selon moi). Petit déjeuner remarquable, plutôt confortable si ce n’est le matelas placé sur une estrade et au ras du sol.

Le détecteur automatique de la lumière des toilettes La nuit, la lumière s’allume dès qu’on va aux toilettes et réveille ainsi le voisin de chambre. Pas optimum.

Czysto. Dobra lokalizacja, blisko do stacji metra przy Jing'an Temple, w okolicy sporo restauracji i sklepów. Bardzo dobre śniadanie.

Niemiły zapach wilgoci w pokoju. Brak szafy, jedynie kilka wieszaków - przy dłuższym pobycie mógłby to być problem. Roleta zasłania się całkowicie (zaciemniając pokój), brak możliwości opuszczenia jej do połowy. Widok z okna na ścianę sąsiedniego budynku. Drzwi między pokojami - wprawdzie zamknięte na klucz, ale jednak wpływające na poczucie komfortu i prywatności.

The location is amazing and for the price, I believe this is a great choice.

Cigarette smoke in the room (probably coming from other guests). The cleanliness level is not great, however the bedsheets were clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff doesn’t speak English, but they are trying their best to help using translation tools.

Breakfast was excellent- lots of variety with fresh fruit.

The hotel itself was decent, but the air conditioning completely ruined the stay for me. The room only had heating mode working, and the manager confirmed the cooling/chiller system was not operational yet. The only solution offered was a fan and keeping the window open, which was very disappointing.

Ich kam bereits um 9 Uhr im Hotel an, bekam trotzdem schon mein Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sauber, recht groß und in gutem Zustand. Das Frühstück bietet chinesische und westliche Lebensmittel, die Auswahl ist absolut ok, wenn auch nicht übermäßig groß, aber für einige Tage völlig ok. Das große Plus ist meiner Meinung nach die Lage nahe der U-Bahn der Linien 2, 7 und 14 (Eingang etwa 300m entfernt). So kann man ohne Umsteigen etwa nach Pudong, zum Yuyuan Garden und Yuyuan Old Street, People's Square, Nanjing Road oder zum Hongqiao-Bahnhof fahren. Ich fuhr mit der Linie 2 direkt vom Flughafen Pudong zur Ying'an Temple Station (= must see Sehenswürdigkeit) und war fünf Minuten später im Hotel (um 7Yuan!) - ein riesen Plus.

Great lobby. Perfect for work or study. Staff were super helpful. Location is excellent. Lots of good cafes and restaurants close by.

Air conditioning was warm, regardless of the setting. May have just been our room. Otherwise it was a good stay.

J’aurais aimé une chambre mieux isolé du bruit. Nous avons été placé côté rue et carrefour. À éviter , car l’hôpital étant sur l’axe , nous entendions la circulation et les sirènes . Demander à été placer côté cour et à l’extrémité pour plus de confort. Sinon l’hôtel est très bien

Great location, short walk to Jin’an temple and close to French concession as well. Not a crazy amount of restaurants around, but there are! Bed was comfy, shower powerful and breakfast nice. Honestly great croissants.

It was cleaned well, it seems but just really not fresh in some ways. There were some weird stains on the walls, including blood stains. And some dirt in the toilet boil which seemed permanent. Could use a refresh. It mentions they have self-laundry onsite, which is true. But it’s super old, doesn’t actually make your clothes fresh at all. On top of that you have to pay for it. Which is the first time I’ve seen this in China. Also dryer works so-so.

Месторасположение - огонь! И сам район интересный, и до метро минут 5, 3 станции до Nanjing road. Небольшой, но приятный чистый номер, отличный матрас, пять подушек (и они не все одинаковые, можно выбрать удобную для себя). Сотрудники на ресепшен говорили на английском!) Завтраки: голодным не останешься. Есть стиральная и сушильная машина (оплата вичатом) и утюг. Если вы чутко спите, вас может побеспокоить шум от дороги, но мне он не мешал. Для курильщиков: во дворе обустроены места, где можно с комфортом подымить.

The location is good and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful but it would have been excellent if they can speak better English. Good location closed to restaurants and shopping at Jing'An temple and metro subway which makes it convenient to take the train.

Although it is a No-smoking hotel but the local chinese guests still smoke in the room. That cigarettes smoke smell was unpleasant and the hotel management do not enforce the policy.

Location is great walking distance to subway. Shopping centre close by and a lot of food choices
