Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Fabulous staff offering a fantastic welcome and service. Evening meal and breakfast were both spot on. It’s an old building with a few creaky floor boards but offers very comfortable accommodation.
Bathroom was clean but needed a little more something to make it a little more luxurious - just a little.

- The coffee at breakfast was not tasty - the handle to switch from the bathtub to the shower head was broken, so I had to take a bath (which was fine too of course)

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was a standout. We enjoyed the location for walking and the restaurant was really great. It was a memorable stay all for the right reasons. Parking right outside was a bonus and help with my suitcase to my room was much appreciated. Breakfast was superb - eggs Benedict and Salmon Royale perfect.
Shower wasn’t great with water a bit temperamental but bathroom was big enough to move around.

Das Frühstück war perfekt für einen langen Wandertag. Wer eine herzliche Unterkunft mit hervorragender Küche sucht, ist hier richtig.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026We were touring West Wales by motorcycle and stayed two nights. The staff were welcoming, personable and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the evening meals fine. Our room was well appointed although not especially large.
Only minor niggles there were no loo rolls in our room and we were short on tea bags and milk. These points were dealt with as soon as we raised them at reception. Otherwise we only found out on our second day that the rooms are not refreshed unless requested this had not been mentioned to us.

Reviewed May 29, 2026We stayed for two nights and dined at Cambrian Inn on the first night. Food and drink offerings are very good, and to suit all tastes (breakfast and dinner). Staff are very friendly and courteous, with a special mention for Ellie who was very helpful throughout our stay. On-site parking is limited, but very handy in a village as small and as popular as (Lower) Solva. Everything is within walking distance and there is plenty to do and see. We would definitely consider visiting (and staying) again.
Our room was comfortable and well-equipped, with nice hardwood furniture, but the single mattresses in the twin room were a little lumpy. OK for kids though, I guess.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Hannah was welcoming on arrival and showed us to our spacious room. The staff were great during our stay whether at breakfast or serving our Sunday lunch and evening meal. Robin was easy to talk to and gave us some advice about the local area. Our room was very spacious and in spite of the very warm weather it was nice and cool during the night. A small minus was that the shower head was in need of a clean. To be fair we didn't notice until the morning of check out. Overall a nice 2 night break. We hope to return in the near future.

Reviewed May 3, 2026Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch den Besitzer, Robin. Es würde uns alles genau erklärt und wir haben sogar noch einen Tisch bekommen können. Ausgesprochen gutes Abendessen. Die Zimmer waren freundlich eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer mit Fenster und groß. Dusche in der Badewanne. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ausgesprochen gut . Das Sandwich, welches wir als Lunchpaket bestellt hatten war auch sehr gut.
Wir duschen nicht gern in der Badewanne.

I had a lovely stay; the room was spacious and clean, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. They truly made me feel very welcome during my visit. I’d highly recommend The Cambrian Inn to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Accessibility. I checked on accessibility before booking and told there was a 14 step staircase which was fine. As it’s out of season once dining room closed the pub shut up / locked up. When they came back at 9pm they had to use outside deep stone steps up to room which were slippery in the rain. I don’t think they would have complained at the time but this should be made clear on booking.

Parking can be a little tight especially when the bar is full.

Reviewed Nov 27, 2025Location is great for visiting superb local beaches and the estuary is very pretty for local walks. Food was excellent, great range on offer. Bedroom was clean and services in the room were really good. Owner was very kind to come and say hello and give us some local recommendations.
Only disappointment was that we were hoping for a cosy lounge and open fires, the pub was VERY cold on the first night and we had to ask repeatedly if the radiators could be turned on. Better the second night but still not a cosy environment to sit before and after dinner, we were staying in November.

Nice room with comfortable bed. Bathroom good but electric towel rail not working. Food quality disappointing, would prefer a more limited menu using basic fresh ingredients.
