The location and views were absolutely stunning! The vibe was amazing, and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The food was just okay, but the service and staff were outstanding—special shoutout to Annie at the beach bar and Gar for making the experience even better!
We were there to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. We had our sons with us, 6, 7, and 11 years old. My in-laws also came with us (60s). It went great. There was something for everyone. Beach, pools, games, restaurants, bars, bikes, jet skis, etc. Everything was family friendly, and the resort was really nice.
Tv issues: not enough apps. No ABC. Staff was very courteous but many had trouble understanding English. It would be great if you had a few Pickleball courts.
Beautiful property with large ocean facing rooms and good size balcony. Along a long stretch of the coast with a small swimmable beach that could use some improvement. Numerous pools spread out. The marketplace was cute but limited. Very clean was self parking. High end prices, come prepared.
This might have been a good place to visit about 10-15 years ago, but our visit was anything but enjoyable. Our room was borderline filthy, and generally, everything seems neglected, tired, desperately needing deep cleaning, repair, or a full rehab. Whether at the restaurant, the burger joint, or the beach bar, the food is simply terrible, and if that’s at all possible, the service is even worse. Most employees have that distinct look on their face that clearly tells you that they’d rather be anywhere else doing anything else. The very first time we sat at the restaurant, we waited 30 minutes without anyone coming by to greet us and offer menus. I finally went inside to talk to someone, wondering if we actually needed to order at the bar. I was told that someone would come out and… you guessed it, no one did. Waited another 20 minutes, went back inside, and… was told that all we can get is coffee, since by then they had closed for breakfast. The next day we sat at the beach bar and ordered pizza. Not only did it taste worse that the frozen pizza you get at the grocery store, but it was so undercooked, the cheese hadn’t even melted and the dough tasted raw. I ate one slice and gave up. When we got the check and the waiter asks if I needed a box, I told him that I don’t need one, explaining why. There was no acknowledgment and you could tell that he gave zero sh*ts. As I had already submitted some feedback, the F&B manager reached via email to invite us to give them another try but after two consecutive failures, I told her we’ll be better off eating off the property. And, I was right. Separately, we booked through a third party OTA and we never consented to the property’s privacy policy. That didn’t prevent them from sharing my PII with at least three other partners, all sending emails within 25 hours of checking out. Multiple emails to the property went unanswered. There seem to be plenty of guests who like this place, but unless your expectations are really low, spare yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere. There is nothing luxurious about this place.
Helpful staff everywhere we went. Grounds are well kept. Rooms are spacious and attractively decorated.
We had booked through Chase and we were supposed to receive priority for extra benefits like room upgrade and late checkout. The welcome amenity, 3 pieces of chocolate, was by far the worst compared to what other hotels offer. Even the water bottle offered to every guest was a nicer gesture. I understand some benefits are subject to availability but the hotel didn’t make efforts to try to accommodate us better. Upon check-in we were told we can choose between 3 rooms. I was taken to see the rooms and while I was on tour, one of the rooms became unavailable (disappointing) and we were told the wrong room so we walked in on an occupied room (awkward), and then had to go back to the front desk to confirm which took extra time. Upon checkout, we called in for late checkout and we were told the room is booked and the hotel is at 97% capacity. If that’s true, then the hotel should properly staff the hotel to accommodate with more cleaning staff. Mahina was the same issue. Almost every table was occupied when we arrived and the service and wait for the food was not a pleasant experience because the hotel was understaffed for the capacity. We had a nice stay overall, loved the hotel location and property and it was well maintained. However, the lack of accommodation with our benefits, which we paid extra for, left a bad taste and made us question whether we want to return. Will also note that we visited a week before holiday but we paid higher rates $ and would expect at least the same level of service/experience.
The resort is amazing and very well kept. There is so much to do! Couldn’t be happier with our room. The beach bar is a must hangout spot and Annie the bartender is the best bartender ever, so fun!
We love the views and Annie was great at the bar! She made me an Annie special that was so yummy. My tuna nachos were also to die for.
This is my second stay at Isla Bella in the past year. I would like take a moment to recognize the night auditor Jason B. who was incredidibly accommodating, personable, and helpful. I needed a bandaid at 5 a.m. and walked to the front desk for assistance. Jason didn’t only give me a bandaid, he answered many questions and gave helpful insights, and is an incredible asset to your organization. The staff at Isla Bella is top tier and the reason I returned for a second stay.
Was the perfect setting for getting three generations of our family (ranging in age from 3 to 67) together, particularly cousins who had not seen each other in many years. The restaurants, the Marketplace, the activities (including the availability of complimentary bicycles enabling us to go to other nearby establishments), and the hospitality of the staff were all top notch.
If you’re looking for a beautiful place this is the ultimate. It is the largest facility that I have seen in the Keys. I found that a little bit intimidating almost like I was in a huge apartment complex. There is actually no beach in front of the rooms although it is called a beachfront hotel. On one end of the property there is a beach that is carved out, probably about 100 feet wide. Our room was absolutely stunning and huge, with two bathrooms and a separate bedroom. I found the bed uncomfortable. I guess I was expecting hotel luxury pillows and bedding and a soft cushy mattress but that was not exactly the case which surprised me for such an expensive hotel. Please understand that everything you want to do is an extra charge and not at all cheap. If you’re looking to save money this is not where you want to go. This is an upscale property and everything is a la carte. They do not tell you when you check in that they rent jet skis or fishing boats or snorkeling trips or even bicycles that are available for your use. You don’t get a tour of the property when you check in you just have a QR code that does not actually give you much information . It was my last day of my stay when I found out that they had all of those things on the Property. There is a marketplace store that sells rather high-end clothing (they even have a Lululemon area in the store) and coffee and pastries. There is a beach bar and a high-end restaurant and a sushi restaurant right on the beach. Absolutely beautiful property and if that is your taste you’re going to love it here. Personally I like a smaller more cozy atmosphere. It looked like a really great property for a honeymoon or if you had a family and you wanted to be able to stay on the property your entire vacation.
What a lovely way to start a beautiful day in marathon. The setting is spectacular and Lynn was so understanding open inviting. She gave great direction and options and allowed for a gentle morning yoga under the palm trees, listening to the water lapping on the shore.
Isla Bella is one of the most beautiful and quaint resorts I have stayed at. The staff was absolutely wonderful from check in to check out. Tom, the chef, came to our table to ask how our food was.....which was fabulous! Amy our bartender took great care of us. She knew exactly what to serve us 60+ ladies visiting for a high school friends trip. The grounds of the resort were immaculate and the views are absolutely stunning. I would recommend Isla Bella to anyone needing a special getaway to get pampered!! Can't wait for the next visit.
Isla Bella is always a wonderful experience! The service was great and we loved the Sushi Bar with Adi, who is always smiling!
My fiancé and I decided to do a staycation at Isla Bella and now we're looking forward to come back again. The resort itself is great, we really enjoyed all the restaurants they have there and the beach bar had great drinks
This is the beach escape from the fast paced lifestyle we all live. We were treated with the upmost respect from the check in desk. Our room was stunning and upgrade upon check in. We used all the amenities. They have a plethora of activities around the resort and a schedule that is written out each day for guests to see. Everything was very clean and our bed was made up each day by staff. The only things I did not like were Breakfast Service at the restaurant was underwhelming, food was great but they didn't even check up on us until we asked for the bill. The other thing I didn't like was that we were charged to park on the Resort, this seems like something that should be included in the room rate considering the lot was almost empty.
Location is really nice - only drawback is there is not the type of sand you would expect at a beach and nowhere to swim in the ocean (what they show in the pictures is very shallow). Atmosphere was great and the bartender, Annie, made the experience fantastic. She really went above and beyond in making sure we were having a great time. The rooms were very nice with beautiful views of the ocean. Overall, great value for the trip. The amenities were great with lots of fun games and activities. Definitely would recommend and cannot underscore enough how great the service was from Annie!
A top notch resort. The buildings and grounds are quite beautiful. All rooms face the ocean which is great. Our suite on the second floor consisted of three spacious rooms: a kitchen/dining room/ living room combo, the bathroom , and the bedroom as well as a furnished balcony. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The pools are heated. The marketplace is very nice and contains a cafe, activities desk, clothing, and gifts. My only suggestion for the management is that they should install some clothes hooks in the bathroom for swimwear to dry out.
Great resort. Very clean, friendly staff, good food, fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommended Isla Bella.
We traveled to Isla Bella with our 19 month old toddler. The resort is perfect for families, while still maintaining a quiet and relaxing vibe - plenty of couples and groups in addition to families. The room was clean and great for our needs - we chose a suite for more space. We requested a crib and there was a like-new pack and play waiting when we arrived. You’ll get a water view from every room, and the rooms ramble along the beach. With the multiple pools and dining options on the property, we were surprised at how infrequently we left the resort. The main pool has a graduated entry, which was perfect for our son. The beach bar had live music a few nights, and the proximity to the lawn games made for a relaxing night. Annie behind the bar took great care of us, remembering us each night and making sure we had what we needed. Overall, we hope to return to Isla Bella - it’s a great option for families looking for a resort atmosphere that’s safe and accommodating.
NEVER EVER COME HERE ! They are scammers !! These people are scammers. They did this to us and several other people. They overcharged us and they added hidden fees and did not let us utilize our credits on property never ever go here.
Excellent service from Rewant and excellent personality, he took really good care of our group. We highly recommend him for good service.
This place is heaven on earth. Not only is the property stunning, the staff is incredible. Annie, Kyle, Chef Tom, Zach and the rest of the staff make this resort the best in the Keys. I highly recommend Isla Bella. 🩷
Fantastic experience. Great service everywhere at this resort! Rooms are well appointed…great view…great outdoor seating on room decks! Because to enjoy cocktails at sunset on the beach!
This property is stunning! A true resort experience in the Keys. My only feedback would be not to eat at their restaurant Mahina. It was outrageously expensive for the quality of food.
Isla Bella Resort is truly our home away from home, and it’s all thanks to the incredible team—but especially Annie, the warmest, kindest, and friendliest bartender you’ll ever meet. She’s the heart of the resort and the reason we keep coming back year after year. Annie makes every visit feel personal and unforgettable, and her genuine hospitality sets Isla Bella apart from anywhere else in the Keys. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!
Great hotel with beautiful views, you feel like you’re in Greece. The weather wasn’t good during our stay but I will still definitely be back to enjoy the resort more. Lots to do for kids and the rooms are all so convenient I have no complaints about this hotel it’s a real charm in marathon Florida
We checked in to our room the evening of November 23rd. The next morning we noticed water cascading into the hallway from the ceiling of the hallway outside our room. The source of the waterfall became apparent when we attempted to shower - we had no hot water, apparently the water heater that served out room had failed. We still had no hot water in the afternoon when we wanted to shower before going out. We never received any notification from management about what was happening. I called the desk and after a dozen rings - the poor employee answered and sounded like she had been fielding a lot of calls from upset guests. She apologized profusely and said we could walk across the property to use the public shower at the spa. Had we been staying at a campground that might have been a solution, but not at a $500/night resort. The morning of the 25th, we still had no hot water. Again I called the desk. Mind you, at no point did anyone pro-actively reach out to us about the problem. Again I spoke with an apologetic employee who sounded like she was having the worst day ever. At this point I asked about either being switched to a room that had hot water, or an adjustment to our bill. She offered to waive the parking fee ($30) and the resort fee ($47). I didn't feel that was sufficient compensation for a very significant problem. Unfortunately this person wasn't authorized to go beyond that offer and suggested I speak with the Director of the Front Office when she arrived. No hot water continued all day on the 25th and we were again unable to shower before going out. I reached out to the Director of the Front Office and she reiterated that they would be waiving the resort and parking fees, concluding her email with "At this time, no further compensation can be provided." So after all was said and done, with the adjustment, we paid $502/night (that doesn't include any food or beverage) and we had no hot running water for almost half of our stay. My personal opinion is that maintenance has been deferred on the property (water heaters fail - it shouldn't take almost 2 days to go find one and replace it). There was also a lack of any pro-active communication about a significant issue and an unwillingness to make a reasonable concession or move us to a new room. I cannot recommend staying at The Isla Bella Beach Resort.
5 stars. Beach bar at isla Bella. Annie is AMAZING. Bartender Annie is the reason to get to the beach bar. Go to the beach bar just to sit with her.
Annie at the Beach Bar was amazing! She made our visit even better! Thank you Annie! The staff overall couldn’t have been better! We will definitely be back.
Nice enough resort but nothing special. A $50 pass for the day would have seemed about fair. $130 is overpriced and simply not worth it. Limited food/drink options, small beach area and small pools. All nicely kept and clean but small and crowded. Some staff were lovely others just eyeballed you unnervingly from their golf carts. Not much shade either. Similar standard places are plenty available in the Keys for a significantly lower price.
I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort. While the menus could use a little improvement, the staff truly made up for it with their friendliness and attentiveness to our needs. A huge shoutout to Ebony — she made my daughter’s birthday incredibly special! She had the band call her out on the mic with a happy birthday dessert, and my daughter absolutely loved every interaction with her throughout the week. Ebony went above and beyond to make sure my daughter always had something she liked to eat, even requesting small tweaks from the kitchen to accommodate her needs. My daughter is already asking when we can come back to see Ms. Ebony again! I’ll definitely be returning in a few months. Some of the staff could benefit from learning a little more English, but overall, everyone was kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed our experience.
Great experience in the Mahina restaurant, thank you Miko! Wonderful service we enjoyed very much. Delicious food !!!
While our reception was lovely, and we are offered a glass of champagne, the experience went downhill from there. The grounds are attractive, but the service is subpar throughout the resort. One room in our party did not have air conditioning working. The hotel solution was to either let them take the un air-conditioned room or charge them more money for another room. Faced with a ruined vacation in a hot room, they paid up for the additional room. On the third night of our stay hot water went out throughout the hotel. Hotel did not communicate with us about the repair or when we could expect hot water. It remained out for the duration of our stay. We were offered no compensation or even an apology.I went to the front desk to ask what was going on. I was simply told “it’s not our fault”. Well, it wasn’t my fault either. But it’s the hotels problem and they need to deal with it particularly with guest that are all on short duration stays. I would not come back here, I will recommend you don’t either.
We went for a wedding. The extra fees like resort fee of $46 a night and an additional $30 for parking a night was a bit steep. The staff was friendly. The bartenders Javier and Ruben gave us exceptional service during the wedding. Room was a little stinky at first maybe due to fact it’s a per friendly hotel. They should have floor instead of rugs. Overall a nice stay.
The hotel and grounds are truly beautiful. The staff is friendly, but incredibly slow. We had a smooth check-in and a welcome drink for our anniversary - nice touch. We stayed here last year for our anniversary and were blown away with everyone and every thing we encountered. I want to mention Cynthya at check-in and Manny who helped with our bags; they were extremely pleasant and professional. Your map needs to be up-dated and a list of what's included in the resort fee, either in print or told when checking in to refer to the website. I found out things that were included in the resort fee simply by accident. Had we been told, we wouldn't have missed out on so much. In closing, you changed the location of the "adults only" pool. It's too far away from the beach bar, a sever showed up only once.
My boyfriend, now fiancé and I visited Isla Bella Resort last week and had the best time. I turned 30 years old on 11/14 and wanted to get away from Ohio to celebrate my birthday! Isla Bella was the last stay of our trip to the Florida Keys as we wanted to relax and wind down before heading home. We were pleased with how close this resort was to the highway but also back far away where it was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool, playing bingo at the beach bar, and checking out all the goods at the Marketplace. On our last night, we took a walk down to watch the sunset near Pelican Point and it was breathtaking. It was exactly what I needed. 2 hours later we walked back down to see the fish in the water near the blue lights and my boyfriend then asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! Now even more because of the proposal, Isla Bella Resort will always have a special place in our hearts. We would highly recommend this resort and we can’t wait to visit again. Also, thank you to all of the pleasant and helpful staff!
Great location. Isla Bella has a great combination of pools and beach! The resort was super clean the amenities were fabulous. The staff was friendly. We loved Annie the bartender at the Beach Bar. We would definitely recommend Isla Bella as your place to stay in Marathon.
We had a wonderful stay! The property is gorgeous and there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy. We ended up just staying on the property and reaping the benefits of being resort guests. Would definitely recommend choosing Isla Bella!
The property itself is very beautiful and overall a very pleasant place to stay. Every staff member we encountered was kind and professional—except in the wedding department. Unfortunately, working with Melissa was extremely disappointing. She was rude during every interaction, constantly talking over my family whenever we made suggestions, and often acted as if this was her wedding instead of ours. Throughout the entire planning process, I felt uncomfortable and unheard. She repeatedly pushed her own opinions, even when it was clear that my family and I had a specific vision for our special day. Because of this, I do not recommend hosting a wedding or event here unless you want to feel bullied, dismissed, and ignored. My two daughters will be choosing a different venue for their future weddings, as Isla Bella has lost a good paying customer. That said, the resort is lovely and I would still recommend staying here—just not for hosting events.
This was our first time driving the Keys. I researched various resorts and hotels and I chose Isla Bella for one of our stops. Do yourself a favor and stay at this resort. You won’t regret it. We will return to the Keys, again, simply to stay at this resort.
The resort is absolutely beautiful... From the moment we checked in with the excellent and helpful staff, to our beautiful, spacious, clean, and well appointed room... to the beautiful, breathtaking views.... we loved the live music every night and how excited everyone gets to gather to watch the sunset.... just perfect in every way. Relaxed yet upscale. And we saw a Manatee every morning while we enjoyed a coffee. This is also a great half way point to Key West. So much to do on property and off property!
Loved the grounds and activities. Our room was beautiful except for the lack of storage room four our clothing. There were no dressers and drawers in bathrooms were fake front. The main restaurant food was not good and the service was terrible. We opted to eat off the premises. I will come back because of the location and overall vibe, but will not be eating on premises. Also the $30/night parking charge was a bit excessive. We stay at the Cheeka often and parking is free.
Me and my husband came here on our honeymoon and had a blast. All the amenities are wonderful and Annie the bartender was our favorite. She made our trip an absolute blast!
We love the chill nature and location of Isla Bella! We visited early November 2025. The check in was easy and staff pleasant. Day two- Breakfast was very disorganized - servers were inconsistent and breakfast took an exceedingly long time- Housekeeping just dropped towels by- most of staff spoke minimal English- Day three we had to call for housekeeping at 3:00pm- and again Breakfast was very slow and cold when it arrived- we served ourselves water and had to go ask for coffee- This is a beautiful resort- but needs attention to customer service- beefore we return
Relaxation was what we went for and that’s what we got!!! Rooms very clean and new. Staff very friendly. Very kid friendly, but many amenities for adults only . Beach bar is very fun. Went to the spa. Had a facial with Thekla… she was fantastic. If you want to get away for 3 days or a week a place to go. Very centralized too an hour drive to Key West if you want to go for the day.
Overall, I would say that this resort has wonderful potential. The staff is great and very helpful. The property itself has an abundance of amenities and activities. It's the little details that could use improvement and would bring this rating to a full five stars for me. For example: our two-bedroom, two bath guestroom didn't include such basics as a microwave and working outlets on the nightstand (only one outlet was functional). We also had to ask for items that would normally be expected at this price point, like robes and extra towels/linens (we were staying for four days and three nights). There wasn't a laundry bag in the closet, so I presumed that laundry service wasn't available either (I couldn't find any evidence of laundry services on their website). The water pressure was poor in the showers, and an ice machine could only be found on one of the resort's three floors. The biggest "small" issue to me was that our door didn't close automatically, so if you didn't remember to pull it closed on your way out, it would remain slightly open. Again, for the price point, I would expect these issues to be taken care of. Otherwise, our stay was lovely, and the oceanfront views were spectacular.
Isla Bella is wonderfully maintained with space galore to walk around the property. There are numerous water sport adn fishing actiivites on site and the beaches are maintined meticulously. Great live music at the beach bar and all 5 pools are great to have. The rooms are spacious and all front the beach. Not a bad view from any room and all have porches. Always such a great amentity. The staff is gracious and helpful.
So much fun with Annie at the beach bar! She is the best bartender!!! Would definitely come back here. Food was aldo very good. Had the hamburger
Great place for holiday on Florida Keys. Excellent service especially i Mahina Restaurant (waiter Alex). Great food and ocean view
Great service and hotel quality in the midle of Keys. Excellent restaurant on the spot with very sophisticated and delicious cousine
This place has nice views, and the property is beautiful but not worth the $ to stay there. Besides the room price there are other fees associated with staying including resort fees parking fees and taxes. Food and drinks are very high priced for what you get regarding quality and portion size. There are other resorts that are much more affordable. All guest services are also quite pricey.. Bring your credit cards and a full wallet.....
Luxurious and tranquil resort clean, great sized rooms all sea facing, good facilities like fitness centre spa and a marketplace with a coffee shop amongst things to buy. Staff are super friendly They have daily activities for everyone adults kids Today i decided to do the morning yoga on the beach!! I met Lynne Murphy who was a superb yoga instructor , she is experienced and adapts to her audience she explains the different moves how your body is working and adapts for different abilities! It was a beautiful setting on the beach with the meditation. Lynn has a calming relaxed persona and makes it easy for you Thank you Lynne!
I was very impressed with the facilities, amenities and feel of relaxation and luxury given to the guests by the staff. I specifically enjoyed all the areas to sit and read and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The only area of improvement I would suggest is in the quality of the food. We ate three times at the beach bar and each time tried a different item. We tried the pizza, chicken wrap, cobb salad and spinach dip. Unfortunately all these were not very good. We tried eating at Mahina, but they didn't open for dinner until 6 PM and due to physical issues, we cannot eat that late. I hope you will consider opening your restaurant for an earlier dinner time for those folks who cannot eat after 6 PM.
Everything was great. The only disappointment I have is the cleaning crew starts a little early. We could hear the wheels of the carts rolling over the wood floors outside room as early as 7:00
What a wonderful place to unwind and recharge. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure you feel special and paired with the unbeatable grounds and comfortable rooms, it’s a 10/10 for me! Stunning view from my patio, the room was so spacious and clean. I loved the live music at beach bar and there is so much to do on site. I had a glorious stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you Isla Bella!!!
Why do they charge $46 resort fee and $30 to park? The staff is great for the most part. The average rooms only have a chair and office chair to sit on. Why no sofa? The bed is hard and the sheets are thin. The USB ports don’t work with modern devices. Why do they have wireless chargers. Their food and drinks are over priced.
We have stayed in Marathon before but found this resort and booked it for 4 nights. We were not disappointed, room with veranda with seating walking straight onto sand. So many pools to choose from. Great Pool Bar, lovely Market Place. Room was great very spacious and shower was one of biggest we have ever had in hotel.
From the moment we arrived, Isla Bella felt like a slice of paradise. The property is spotless, the ocean views are absolutely stunning, and everything from check in to dinner ran smoothly thanks to an outstanding team. Lydia at the front desk set the tone with a warm and welcoming check in. We loved the resort’s thoughtful touch of providing reusable water bottles instead of plastic, and its partnership with marine science and conservation programs shows real commitment to the environment. The bar team, especially Chanda, made every cocktail a delight, and Sean, the activities director, went above and beyond to make our stay fun and memorable. We borrowed the resort’s bikes and pedaled over to Pigeon Key, which was such a highlight. Dinner at Mahina was excellent, fresh and flavorful, and made even better by our lovely waitress Surnama, whose service was outstanding. A special thank you to GM Justin Nels who personally made sure our stay felt special. His genuine care for guests truly sets Isla Bella apart. We can’t wait to come back. This resort beautifully balances luxury, relaxation, and environmental stewardshipntly had the pleasure of staying at the Isla Bella Resort in Marathon, FL, and my experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service and attention to detail made our visit truly memorable. First and foremost, our room was a haven of comfort and style. The attention to detail in the room's design and furnishings did not go unnoticed. We were particularly enamored with the breathtaking view from the 3rd floor – it provided the perfect backdrop to our entire stay. A special shout-out to Rubin, the wonderful bartender at the beach bar, who went above and beyond to ensure our beachside experience was enjoyable and relaxing. Sandra at the Marketplace also left a lasting impression with her friendly and accommodating service. Kudos to Krystyna, the Director of Guest Experience, and Justin Nels, the General Manager, for their leadership in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was evident that the entire staff worked tirelessly to ensure each guest had a fantastic visit. Dining at Mahaina was a highlight of our stay. The beautiful view complemented the delicious food perfectly. We indulged in the lobster-encrusted mahi, and it was an absolute delight for the taste buds. The thoughtful touches throughout our stay added an extra layer of charm. The friendly front desk staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the complementary bikes allowed us to explore Pigeon Key over the bridge at our leisure. Additionally, the complimentary champagne upon arrival was a delightful surprise that set the tone for a truly special stay. Isla Bella Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of a stunning room, attentive staff, delicious dining, and thoughtful amenities made our visit unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to returning to Isla Bella Resort for another exceptional experience in the future!
Outside bar & grill is great. Live fun music, decent food, amazing atmosphere and the view of the sunset by 7 Mile Bridge is what everyone comes for. Staff is always friendly and upbeat as well. Highly recommended
Absolutely the best place to be. This place is paradise. Will definitely be back every year. Love it here. Love the staff they are the best.
Pros: 2 br 2 ba hotel rooms - so rare and great with kids, every room faces the ocean, big pool for kids and smaller pools for quiet time, gorgeous white lotus feel landscaping, beautiful sunsets, good food, activities, they work with local volunteers Conch Republic Marine Army to go to uninhabited islands to collect trash (I'd only recommend it for adults) for free for a couple of hours. SO rewarding! The location is perfect. Free bikes to ride to Pigeon Key on the 7 Mile Bridge, hour drive to Key West, so many great restaurants around. Cons: No outdoor hot tub. We literally said multiple times a day how sad we were. This is our whole families favorite way to unwind and it was really missed. IMO, the beds were hard like a box and the pillows (typical for a hotel) were flat and soft. Activities were great, and this is a small complaint, but the person in charge of trivia and bingo this week was not skilled in hospitality and it was kind of a bummer.
Very quiet and relaxing. Food was good but wished there were more breakfast choices. Pools were great. Rooms were very nice. Slept great. You can watch the sunrise from any room on your deck.
The resort has a beautiful setting with lovely views and pools, however that is the extent of luxury. The price is expensive, especially for the uncomfortable beds, poor quality linens and towels, dusty carpet, overpriced meals and drinks, $30 a day to park and staff that couldn't speak English. In addition, the beach is not a swimming beach.
Considering that we are in the United States, where service at resorts of this kind is usually at a very high level, unfortunately, we felt more like we were in Spain, in Mallorca. The service was on the level of a 3-star hotel — and not an American one, but a European one. From the reception and check-in to the restaurant and the marketplace, no one seemed interested in or willing to engage with guests. For example, one evening we ordered dinner at the pool bar. The service felt as if we had arrived just before closing time. The pizza I ordered was so burnt that the edges were impossible to chew. However, since the bar closes at 10 p.m., and because of the rather unwelcoming attitude of the waitress, I ate what I could. When asked how the food was, I said the pizza was burnt — but I didn’t even receive a simple “I’m sorry” or “Apologies.” The pizza was removed from the bill, but it was never about the 20–30 dollars — it was about the basic level of service, which was completely missing. The only place where we truly felt the level of hospitality typical of America and resorts like this was with Kayle, from the bar in the main dinner restaurant.
The first thing you notice is the beautiful property with stunning views. You will not want to miss a sunrise or sunset. It was a pleasant surprise to be greeted with sparkling rosé. Everyone we met was Kind, welcoming, and happy to help. The pools were well kept. They served drinks at the main pool and beachside. The cocktails were delicious. We enjoyed eating sushi at the beach bar.
We had a wonderful time here. Such a relaxed pace, great service everywhere, as a visitor to the area it was extremely welcoming. The beautiful views were everywhere.
We are Floridians and have spent hundreds of days in the Keys. The Isla Bella stands out as an amazing property and very well run hotel. Very pleasant staff and one of the most breathtaking facilities including the pools and amazing beach. Many rooms walk right out onto the beach. We originally planned to stay for 4 days and ended up staying for 9 days. Truly an amazing property. Only downside is that restaurants need to upgrade food experience. Food and liquor is pricey and value may not match the actual food experience.
The most peaceful & lovely yoga session! Excellent yoga session! Isla Bella was the perfect setting for Lynne’s yoga. 🧘
My husband and I just spent a time at Isla Bella, and we're already planning our return! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in paradise. The location is stunning – right by the Seven Mile Bridge – and the whole resort has this chill, island vibe that's infectious. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We were greeted with smiles and a refreshing drink, and everyone we met made us feel like family. Our suite was amazing – third floor with an ocean view, two bathrooms, and a comfy living room with Netflix. We spent our days lounging by one of the five pools or on the private beach. The burgers and cocktails by the pool were on point, and the bartender was so nice! We also popped into the Beach Bar in evening and grabbed breakfast at the Marketplace, both were great experiences. The Marketplace had some awesome gifts and souvenirs, too. If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious getaway, Isla Bella is the place. We can't wait to come back and try out the spa and wellness options next time.
Our stay at Isla Bella Beach Resort in Marathon, Florida, was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the property — pristine landscaping, sparkling pools, and stunning views of the turquoise waters. The resort has a perfect balance of luxury and comfort, making it feel like a true escape from everyday life. Our room exceeded all expectations: spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, with private seating areas that offered uninterrupted views of the ocean. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was a daily highlight. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the well-appointed amenities, was carefully designed to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation. The resort’s facilities are outstanding. The pools and beach areas are inviting and well-maintained, perfect for lounging or taking a refreshing swim. The dining options were wonderful — every meal was a delight, but our anniversary dinner at Mahina was truly next-level. The food, presentation, and ambiance made it an unforgettable evening, and it’s easily a highlight of our stay. What truly sets Isla Bella apart is the staff. Every team member we encountered was genuinely friendly, professional, and attentive. Whether it was arranging activities, providing extra towels, or simply greeting us with a smile, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Overall, Isla Bella Beach Resort is a rare gem in the Florida Keys. It offers luxury, comfort, and a tranqui
Extremely clean; nice surroundings; great pool choices; restaurant was good.
This is a staycation for my husband and we live in Key west and love going to Isla Bella Beach Resort very safe, clean, all the staff are very efficient and pleasant especially Tosharia very pleasant helpful and friendly. We will always return
This resort has become our favorite escape. I went with my wife, and every time we stay it feels peaceful, relaxing, and truly special. The staff is attentive, the property is beautiful, and it’s the perfect place to recharge. We absolutely love it here and can’t wait to come back.
This was our second trip to Isla Bella and Marathon after my wonderful wife surprised me here last year for my 60th birthday, Last year's trip made my 60th my best ever. I have never experience such a place where you feel you are in another country, away from everything. The natural beauty of seeing the Atlantic Ocean from all places is just so soothing. The accommodations are 5 Star in every way. The staff is 10 out of 10 and they are always making sure everything is in place. The food is amazing. I have told my wife that after our second trip, this is will our annual trip until we can't make it anymore. If you want to truly relax, in comfort and great service, you should book a trip. Like us, you will be back. I can't thank the staff enough for everything, but especially Lydda, who we were blessed with the meet last year and she remembered us this year. Her knowledge of the Resort and area cost me some money with my wife going to those shops she recommended, but it was well worth. If you don't book a stay at Isla Bella, it truly is your loss. Jeff
Thank you Chanda, Ramone, Larissa for a fun afternoon bar side and bingo! Stunning resort and friendly service. Drinks were great, and the service was exceptional.
Absolutely beautiful architecture and interior design. Gorgeous view. Fun bar with live music and the restaurant had delicious food and excellent service.
From the lobby, to the pool areas, to the grounds, and especially the guest rooms this resort is absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful room and resort.
This was my 2nd year in a row that I've stayed at Isla Bella Beach Resort. LOVE this place! Only a couple things... I choose the Adult Pool because you offer this choice, however the music never worked and the fountains never worked. I brought the music to your attention multiple times. It was mentioned that it had been fixed and it was not. The fountains weren't able to be fixed until after my stay. We are paying a lot of money to stay there and expect everything to be in working condition. Also, one day lying by the pool a waitress asked if I needed a drink. I said just a glass of ice please. She never came back with my order, but she came back with everyone else's order. I feel that she thought my order wasn't worth her time because she probably thought that she wasn't going to get tipped. Other than that, I TOTALLY enjoyed my stay. I'll be back again!
Lynne led a beautiful session in a beautiful setting. It was calming and gentle. My husband and I had a great experience. A perfect resort retreat.
Beautiful, quiet ( in September), awesome!! Staff are friendly, attentive, flexible and take care of your every need. Grounds are spotless. Views are spectacular especially sunrise and sunsets. It is no wonder so many shows are filmed here. Cost is very affordable late September but can double or more at peak times - sounds like it is very busy too…lines for amenities. No real need to go off resort for restaurants (they tended to be just as expensive and lesser quality, but we did find quality souvenirs cheaper at a store by the Marathon airport. I have no complaints & plan on returning next September.
Extremely welcoming staff
I was with 6 friends for a weekend away. We were able to get connected rooms, which was fantastic. The staff were amazing and very accommodating.
The front desk staff, pools, fitness center and the outdoor bar were excellent. The room was ok, just seemed a bit worn with marks on the walls and a cracked bathroom mirror and cracked tiles.
We stay here for a week every year! It is truly an amazing place to unwind, relax and take in all the beauty God created in the Florida Keys! What an amazing resort!
Supper clean
Absolutely stunning! A perfect spot for families with kids, honeymooners, and couples enjoying retirement -- the resort caters to ALL guests. From lovely palm trees to gleaming white buildings, we really enjoyed our visit. We often took in the scenic views while relaxing on patio furniture (that looked new) located around the resort. The hammocks and filtered water stations were nice touches. The entire resort felt high-end but also relaxed and very approachable for families with kids as well as couples and retirees. The food was tasty, and we appreciated the variety (thanks for gluten free options!). The rooms were extremely clean and had quality bath products. Even the bathrooms around the resort were exceptionally clean -- and pretty! Regarding previous comments: Yes, the mattress felt a bit more average compared to other resorts -- but we still slept well. I'm confused by someone’s comment about towels, because we saw an abundance of new towels at the pools. Only a slight issue occurred for us -- a loud toddler in the next room (the parents thought unruliness was cute). While not the resort's fault, we appreciated how quickly the front desk manager (Christel) moved us to an even better location. (Christel was impressive and set the bar for excellence throughout our stay!) A side note and possible solution: there were many infants/toddlers (which is fantastic but potentially noisy for adjoining rooms) -- perhaps an idea might be a section of rooms for children under 5? That said, we were VERY grateful for the family atmosphere and traveled with our older child, who loved the daily activities designed for kids and families! Our overall visit was exceptional and beyond expectation! We definitely plan on returning to this well-managed property. Thanks to the staff for their professionalism and kindness -- they ALL made our visit memorable! SPECIAL KUDOS to: Christel (front desk), Michelle (marketplace), Sean (guest experiences), Devon (marina), and Ramone and Bryanna (kids' activities). This is an excellent resort and one we highly recommend!! We can't wait to return!!
This was our third visit there and I couldn't believe how great my first visit was ranted and raved about it now after my third visit most likely my last the service was below standard I had to call for toilet paper after the cleaning staff was there the rug in my room was nasty and torn the pillows are horrendous and the pool by my room was locked couldn't use it breakfast was below average this was not like this last year we have people smoking marijuana next to us and we had to have our room changed beside that everything worked out last year this year was just a horror show in my opinion for what we pay to stay there my wife and I where very very disappointed I'll be trying a different resort next year I'm sorry I had to write this but truth be told I pay a lot of money to get there and stay there I could have stays at the budget in for cheaper for the services that we received.
Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to Lydda, Liz, Tosharia, Christel and Marcela at the Reception desk whom made us feel so welcome. Also to John Robert who took me to see the Marketplace, Thanks to Prada, Imani, Samira and Jessica. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ELISE AND ADI! Will be seeing you next year. Must visit Key West for its beautiful sightseeing.
The beds are very uncomfortable! This is supposed to be a resort and spa.. The worst mattresses ! Pool towels are faded and old. The room was dusty and the carpet is dirty/dusty. Apparently, they don't care. They just collect high fees and disregard a guests comfort. They don't even put up umbrellas for guests at the pool! The only thing going for this resort are the lovely views, but that only goes so far. Apparently, none of the staff speak English so it's difficult to get any resolve.
Exellent place to relax.
We chose the Isla Bella resort for its proximity to Key West International (EYW) since we were flying in and renting a car for the short scenic drive. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early. The staff went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. I highly recommend this property.
The property was beautiful but service left a bit to be desired. Pools were locked in the middle of the afternoon, beverages prices were beyond unreasonable and although we booked two rooms months in advance, the two rooms could not have been further apart. To make matters worse, the door battery failed in the middle of a heavy rain leaving us cold and soaked until maintenance arrived (about a half hour). Loved the rooms and property, but not sure we’d stay there again.
This place is a tropical oasis!! Extremely clean, the views are spectacular, the service is impeccable.
Absolutely beautiful resort!
Very enjoyable time even though the weather was uncooperative. Beautiful resort, friendly staff.
The only positive here is the view—beautiful surroundings. That’s it. For the second year in a row, we walked into chaos: screaming kids running everywhere, our sliding door useless against the noise, a broken shower, and a room that felt run-down compared to last year. Once the kids were done outside, they moved into the room next door. The flimsy “adjoining” door might as well have been open—it let in every shriek. After three calls to the front desk, it finally stopped at 11:30pm. The next morning our dog passed away and we had to leave early. Before booking, we specifically asked about emergencies and were told management would “work with us” if something came up—our concern was hurricane season. When the worst happened, they coldly refused any refund for the unused nights. The GM’s dismissive response to our first review only confirmed what others have said in their reviews: management is cold, insensitive, and doesn’t care about guests. We’re done with this place. Never coming back.
This was a dream. We were really not expecting much and walked into a little slice of heaven. The grounds are stunning, with ocean views all around and beautifully kept. Staff was welcoming and accommodating at every moment. Rooms were bright and spacious, and the dining experience a hit. We can’t wait to return.
