Blue Clouds Homestay

A real homestay. Duong is a perfect host. Rick is locked, loaded and ready to pounce-and one day I’m sure he will😊 . My daughter left behind some insoles and Doung mailed them to her to pick up in Saigon. Very pleased and highly recommended

This was my fourth stay at Blue Clouds Homestay, and I cannot praise Duong and Van enough. They are wonderful and accommodating, helping me arrange excursions and drivers at a fraction of the price I was looking at online through getyourguide. The room is clean and comfortable and only about 10 minute walk from the Old Town. They also offer in-house laundry and have a very cute dog!

We spent 12 wonderful days at Blue Clouds. Initially, we had planned to stay only 5 nights, but we quickly realized this would be a special experience and decided to extend our stay. From the very beginning, the owners welcomed us with genuine kindness and were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations on what to see and where to eat in the surrounding area. The cleanliness is impeccable, and having free bikes available was a fantastic bonus that made exploring even more enjoyable. A special mention goes to their lovely little dog, who truly added something extra to an already perfect stay. We would absolutely love to come back.

民宿老闆Sam 人很親切，服務很好，有甚麼需求他都會處理，也幫我們訂購會安主題秀的門票，民宿在巷子內，安靜不吵雜，若步行至古鎮約5-10分鍾左右

We booked the homestay for 2 nights and ended up spending 4 nights in total and it was amazing! Very quiet neighbourhood yet centrally located close to the old town of hoi an. Very clean and affordable. The owner was so sweet, he gave us lots of recommendations about the city (where and what to eat) and helped us with anything that we needed. They also offer laundry service (30k/kg) - fast and smells good ! To top that off, he got the cutest dog in the world, who enjoys cuddles a looooot. Would definitely recommend this homestay to everyone and we would stay here again if we are coming back to Hoi An in the future ! Thanks a lot :))

Very nice staff and friendly dog. Clean, quiet and great location

We cannot recommend Blue Clouds Homestay highly enough. During our stay in Hoi An my daughter fainted which resulted in facial injuries needing emergency treatment. Duong and his wife were incredible. They rushed to help, organised immediate transport to the hospital and Duong even came with us! It was a very stressful and worrying situation seeing my daughter hurt, but Duong was able to translate what was happening at the hospital as he speaks good English. I truly don’t believe we would have experienced this level of support anywhere else. Thank you both so much! ❤️ Duong and his wife are helpful, caring and kind owners who treat you like family. They can help organise anything you need, including transport, tours, and trips. The accomodation is very clean, the bed was comfortable, good breakfast, and the location is excellent — just a short stroll to the Old Quarter. Their friendly little dog, Rích (Rik), is an added bonus! She is so cute and friendly. Also, don’t miss their son’s café, 'Espresso Station', it was our favourite cafe during our whole Vietnam trip! Highly recommended.

Everything was really good there, the host were amazingly nice, the dog is also amazingly nice.

Nothing

Had a fab time at Blue Clouds - Duong could not have been more helpful, even helping us push the twin beds together to make a double after i'd accidentally booked us the wrong room type. His little dog is also so cute and welcomes you back every day with a wagging tail. It's a great location too. A short walk to the old town and we also walked to the pottery village.

Room was comfortable and the owners were the frendliest people and they had the friendliest and loveliest dog also! They organized an onwards travel for me and told me many recommendations for Vietnam! Will stay here again if coming back to Hoi An!

We had a wonderful time here. We especially enjoyed the caring owners, who supported us with all our requests. We got bicycles free to use, he arranged transportation and we could stay in our room extra long.

Duong and his wife are amazing! He speaks a very good english and has so many good tips about Hoi An and the surroundings. They booked for us buses, transfer and tours.. everything was perfect! The room was very clean. Last but not least their dog is super loving and friendly! It has been a pleasure to stay with them.

Es beinhaltet alles was man braucht. Das Highlight war „Rick“ der Hund für mich… so süss! Zudem ist das Homestay zentral gelegen.

Good location close to Old Town. Room was spacious. House dog was a bonus! Breakfast was basic but tasty.

Bathroom a little outdated but functional.

I'm so glad I found this homestay. The owners are so lovely and attended to our every need. They arranged an early check in for my friend that wasn't feeling well, they arranged a transfer to the airport and a sleeper bus for my friend. The breakfast was good and the room very comfortable. AC was working great, everything was clean. It is a 10-15 min walk to old town. A gym is also a 15 min walk away. And the dog is the sweetest and fluffiest soul on this planet. Would 100% stay here again! Thank you for everything! :)

Stayed 3 extra nights! Really lovely couple running this place with their dog Rick. Gave us great recommendations for Hoi An and free bikes! Room was very spacious with a nice balcony, beds were super comfy. Would definitely recommend!

Had such a good time in blue clouds homestay! Duong goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable! It was my friend maisie’s birthday and he got her some flowers and some fruit which was so kind :) great location only about 15 minute walk to the old town - such great value for money

The host couple is very lovely and kind. They helped us a lot with good recommandations and booking tours. We enjoyed staying here so much that we extended our stay. Thanks again

Blue Clouds Homestay was an absolute delight! The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations. The location is peaceful yet close to everything. Breakfast was good enough, and the overall atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Hoi An on a budget.

Nothing

Hosts: lovely and kind, very helpful with every question I had, organised transportation to Da Nang airport for me and it was no issue to prolong my stay at the homestay for a couple nights Location: about 10min walk from the old town, perfect distance for quiet nights and still being close to all the tourist attractions. Room & en suite bathroom: very clean and spacious, bed is comfy

Extremely nice stay. Host was so welcoming and kind. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Hoi An.

This property is amazing. The lovely owner and his wife are so kind and speak really good English, as soon as we got there we got information about hoi an, where to eat and told about local scams. The location is perfect, just a 5 minute walk from walking street with the lantern boats. Rooms were clean and comfortable and I slept well every night. Thank you.

Host is very helpful and friendly Convenient location Spacious room

If we would have booked the shuttle bus to Hue ourselves it would have been cheaper (189k vs 250). But it's nice service to arrange this for us.

EVERYTHING!!! Comfy bed, cold AC, cute puppy, nice 10 min walk into old town, incredibly kind hosts!!

Lovely welcome with homemade lemonade The hosts are amazing, help with everything from recommendations for custom clothes, tours, onward travel, laundry etc. but they go the extra mile. I was brought to my bus so I didn’t have to walk with my bags and it was a walkable distance. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in two months Lovely made to order breakfast and lots of items to choose from It’s quiet but close to everything They cleaned my room after 2 nights…fresh towels etc The free bikes are great to use for going to the beach The puppy!

Absolutely nothing

Absolutely loved it here! Felt like home, will always recommend to anyone going to Hoi An. Owners are lovely and their dog is adorable! Really helpful with everything and happy to answer any questions and will give you their WhatsApp to message if you need anything which is super helpful!

My husband and I have been traveling around Vietnam for the past 2 months and this homestay was by far our favorite. The hosts, Duong and Van, are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very clean, they cooked us an amazing breakfast everyday and even brought us a tea kettle when we asked for one. The location is 10 minute walk to Old Town, which was perfect to stay away from crowds and noise. We ended up getting sick and needing to extend 5 extra days so we could rest and heal. They took such good care of us during this time and always made sure we had everything we needed. They even made us tea late one night when we were still sick. We would 100% recommend this place to anyone in Hoi An. Thank you Duong and Van! -Abbie and Jairus

The Homestay is located in an alleyway tucked away from the jam packed tourist area. It’s conveniently located to just about everything you’d want to do and see in the area. Go by foot or rent a motorbike for 150k dong per day. You can see so so much by motorbike. Host could not be more helpful and responsive.

This is a lovely place to stay. After a great value and smooth airport transfer we were greeted with a homemade lemonade and got to play with the two-month-old puppy 🥰. Duong talked us through the places to get the best local food (and where to avoid!) and then left us to our room, which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Duong also organised a tour for us as well as bus tickets to Huê, all for a lot less money than we were looking at online - it was great to be able to whatsapp him while we were out if we had any questions. He even went out to get us bahn mi for our onward journey (which were so delicious). All in all a lovely welcoming experience where we were made to feel so at home.

Great location, wonderful rooms, perfect informative host

There was nothing I didn't like

Calm place not so far from the old town. The couple owner is welcoming and useful! And they have a lovely dog

Had a great stay at Blue Clouds Homestay with the lovely Duong, Van and the little dog Rum. They were so helpful and provided recommendations around the city and provided a bike to use for free which I rode to the beach. The place is located in a nice quiet alley way with friendly neighbours, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Friendly and helpful hosts! The homestay is perfectly located to discover the old quarter but in a quiet street. Beaches to be discovered easily by bicycle.

the property was very clean the owner was very informative and helpful couldn’t meet nicer people the property was very quite but very close to the old town walked in 5 minutes there were also free bikes to use. couldn’t have been better for a budget stay. Highly recommended

spotlessly clean very friendly owners

Duong and his wife Van were two of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever hope to meet. Their homestay is very quiet, super clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in. Duong speaks great English, the breakfasts are fabulous, their dog is adorable, and honestly this one of the best places I've stayed during my whole trip. I never normally write reviews because god knows life is short & hard enough, but I really wanted to make people aware of this place, so: if you want somewhere uber safe, calm & comfortable to stay in Hoi An, staffed by really lovely, gentle people for whom nothing is too much trouble, and you like sleeping in comfortable beds, then you should book a room here immediately.

We stayed at Blue Clouds (May Xanh) homestay for 3 nights. Duong is a very friendly person, who speaks English on a pretty good level - contact was really easy and clear. He gave some good recommendations for breakfast and lunch in the village. The location is good, with just a five minute walk to the (very) touristic center. We used the bicycles for a round trip, to the beach and through rice fields.

Breakfast has a lot of options, but some meals need to be ordered in advance (15 to 30 minutes). We didn't mind too much, but it's good to know.

The location (about ten minute walk to the Ancient Town) is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with airconditioning and free wifi. The host Duong and his wife are wonderful, generous hosts who are very accommodating and helpful. I have stayed here a few times in the past because their hospitality has been unforgettable and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A wonderful family run accommodation, where Duong and his wife make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Duong was extremely helpful in arranging a trip to My Son Sanctuary and an airport transfer. It is possible to rent bicycles for free, so you can easily cycle to places such as Cam Kim Island and An Bang Beach.
