The Hoxton, Shoreditch

The location was good for a family wedding. Lovely setting and food was lovely. We had a full breakfast which was great and very filling.

Disappointed that there were no complimentary biscuits.

We paid over £300 for one night - it was too expensive for the room even though we got an upgrade.

Position and style

Found it strange that you have to ask for the room to be cleaned . Not a lot of room to sit and chat without buying food or drinks

Although the rooms are not large, they are very cute and clean. The location is also great - a bus stop right in front of the hotel and 10 mins from an underground station. There is also security in the evenings which made me feel quite safe.

The lobby - downstairs - the bar - great vibe and a place you want to hang out. good fun and lively.

Rooms were small but adequate. Industrial vibe not as cosy and inviting as it could be.

Tiny room and not very well designed- that could easily be upgraded- just take away the chair for the table. Got so crammed - but very comfortable beds and bathroom was nice but the door made a lot of noice and closed by itself….

Nice room (I got upgraded to a Cozy Up), relatively quiet and very comfortable. Good bathroom facilities. I liked the sustainable aspect of this hotel, and could simply request if I wanted the room made up not. Cards were made of carton (nice touch). Staff was responsive,friendly and fast. Great location.

Bambini down below and the breakfast area was expensive, and not necessarily superb food. The llama up on the roof was excellent but necessary to get a reservation early even to have a drink there. The Hoxton is popular amongst mobile workers and the lobby area is full of them. A small negative mark on their sustainability credentials was the fact that they washed their sidewalk every morning despite severe water restrictions throughout the country.

The vibe was amazing Friendliness and location was incredible

We had dinner first evening in the hotel at il Bambino club …. Food was lovely and staff were super attentive…. Other than that we just had drinks in the evening

Staff were incredibly friendly, and I had a wonderful stay. The room was cosy, and I was delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade. Mohammed was especially kind and helpful, arranging the late-night upgrade and recommending some great food options. A big thank you to Mohammed for going above and beyond and making my stay so enjoyable. Kudos to the team! The only suggestion would be to consider keeping the bar and restaurant open a little later, as they currently close quite early.

The location was amazing. The staff were lovely. We were celebrating our engagement and were upgraded and had a card in the room. The room was immaculately clean and well decorated. The bar and restaurant looked great but we did not have time to check it out. Would recommend to anyone staying in Shoreditch!

Het is een mooi hotel, goed verzorgd en op een fijne plek in Londen. Bij binnenkomst wordt je positief verrast door het mooi alles is aangekleed. De kamer is prima in orde. Niet enorm groot maar goed verzorgd. Het enige dat niet echt goed werkte was reguliere zenders op de TV kijken en de airco maakte wel erg veel geluid, die heb ik daarom 's nachts uitgezet.

Londen is en blijft een dure stad om te overnachten.

I loved the interior and layout on the reception and ground floor. There was an amazing energy with a lots of people enjoying the bar, reception and restaurant. The staff especially were super friendly without being over bearing or too formal- so helpful!

Great location close to metro stations and attractions. Comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We asked for extra blanket for our child and night staff Ioana brought it straight away. Decent room size for short city break. They also had a baggage hold service available which was great.

The lobby doubles as a coffee bar with lots of gig workers on zoom calls. It was fine for me, but others should at least know.

Hip hotel. Great location. Loved the rooftop bar/restaurant.

My husband and I very rarely get a break from work. When we do we love to visit The Barbican, Museums for various Exhibitions and The Southbank Centre. The Hoxton Shoreditch is the perfect place to do that from alongside being close to some very entertaining Bars (and a little Karaoke if that floats your boat). Rianna and Angelica always both make us feel so welcome whenever we visit. We obviously prefer some rooms to others but overall always have a great stay because the team are so attentive and professional. We are always grateful for the time we get to spend there.

the location is great as is the decor but thats where it ENDS. There is zero genuine hospitality let alone customer service. There was a dirty towel in my room, drilling for a short period, the roof top was closed for a private event during my stay and then I saw a mouse in the lobby restaurant during my dinner there. They tried to charge me for the dinner and have sent me several separate emails to apologise for the drilling, explain they called pest control and that they escalated the rude restaurant staff to senior management. My 4 night stay for £1.3k for was effectively a training opportunity for them vs me receiving hospitality as a valued customer.... Could be good for other guests but if you don't fancy being a ginny pig stay in any of the other MANY shoreditch hotels....Oh I was also so fed up with the issues during my stay and lack of service I never mentioned the towel to them...

The service was amazing, Angelica helped me with recommendations to some great restaurants and fun places to visit while on my stay. The room was clean and up to standard. Pretty quiet. I was able to make a coffee with the kettle that's in the room. The location is great it has a tube nearby. The price is okay for the room I booked. The atmosphere very chill.

The hoxton is beautiful the rooms are gorgeous a d the front of house were very helpful and friendly. I have stayed in 2 Hoxtons and found both times the restaurant staff ro be slow and unhappy. The food was very slow cold and I think the breakfast is limited and bad value for money sometimes , keeping it simply works well and this is overfussy

The room I had booked was too small. I had to upgrade. But the staff was great and we sorted it out.

The welcome desk were so helpful. A big shout out to Angelica. Could not do enough for us 2 ladies. Breakfast was very relaxed, beautiful food and freshly prepared. Great choice - something for everyone. Our server (sorry didn't catch name tag) was superb. We sat on outer circle sofas (no.4?). Could have stayed there all day. Luggage storage was easy and well organised.. Beds so comfortable we nearly missed breakfast. Thank you, will be back again.

The gentleman on Reception (I didn't get his name but he had recently returned to work there after being away for 2yrs) was super helpful and friendly. We loved the look of the hotel and the ambience. The room we stayed in was great and we had such a good night's sleep.

The staff in llama bar upstairs were not very welcoming and bordered on arrogant and rude. There were two of us and we asked to grab a drink outside - there were available tables but we were told we had to stand at a high bar table. The tables around us remained empty for the duration we were outside having a drink.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Morgan and Sophie at reception. They were both so friendly, kind, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they always greeted everyone with a smile. Their positive attitude and genuine care really stood out and made the whole experience even better. Couldn’t have asked for better service!

Perfect location, clean and very tidy hotel

We loved the staff , the hotel was lovely Staff were fantastic, Iona and Che really friendly and approachable. The whole hotel including the room was spotless, air conditioning worked very well, had useful basic facilities such as a kettle, tea, coffee and is located in a nice area. Rooftop terrace has a beautiful view, it does close early though.

I have actually never stayed at the hotel because there was no availability for the dates I needed. But I wanted to highlight the wonderful staff member Sophe (?) who spent quite a bit of time with me helping me find an alternative property. She even got me to sign up for the Disloyalty membership. She’s been very accommodating, professional and kind.

The stay was average. The place is cute and well located. The service is not up to a 4-star hotel. Our TV didn’t work and all they said was “we don’t know how to fix it”. The restaurant was still figuring out a new menu and did not serve what we ordered. Staff is not super attentive nor nice. The bathroom fan made a huge noise unfortunately and the bed is not very comfortable. Very average

Hotel was absolutely beautiful, staff were so friendly and upgraded our room as we had just got married the day before checking in, looked after our bags for the day when we checked out. The hotel was clean the restaurant and bar facilities were beautiful. The hotel had a really cool art deco theme and was in a perfect location, 5 min walk to the tube and 10 min walk to spitafields market!!

That our stay wasn’t longer!!!

Staff friendly on arrival and check in smooth. Breakfast was great in the morning. Location great for getting out and about. Styling of the hotel was really nice and the roof top bar was an added bonus.

I always expect an iron in the room but was provided one when asked which was good. Drinks service was a bit slow if you were seated so often had to go to the bar and ask.
