Best Western Premier Springfield Plaza District Hotel

I like the way it used to be. Great breakfast. Great service. Great price.

It is not the hotel it used to be. Now the it is way overpriced for what you get. Small rooms. Sparse staff. No breakfast, which used to be a highlight. I won’t be back.

Good vibes

This hotel has changed from a Best Western VIB to a Best Western Premier. I have stayed here on multiple occasions and have always loved the hotel, but unfortunately, my most recent stay may be my last. The biggest disappointment is that they are no longer offering even a simple complimentary continental breakfast. The only option is to order breakfast from the menu, wait for it to be prepared, and then pay for it. Seriously, Best Western—you can do better! The rooms at this hotel are quite small, but I was always willing to overlook that because the complimentary breakfast was a nice added convenience and made the stay worthwhile. It was simple, but it was good, quick, and convenient. Being able to grab something to eat before heading out for the day was a big part of what I appreciated about staying here. I truly hope Best Western will reconsider this change because I really like this hotel, its location, and the staff. Unfortunately, without the complimentary breakfast, I am now considering other hotels for my future stays.

Loved staying here. I always choose this hotel when I'm traveling through Springfield, MO.

Great location and wonderful staff. My room was just perfect and loved the shower. This will be my go to for when I stay in Springfield. Also convenient for parents with college kids at MSU or Drury.

Better shower curtain so the water doesn’t come out onto the floor. No breakfast is included you have to pay extra for it.

Newish and clean

The walls were paper thin and you could hear your next door neighbors every movement. You could also hear the busy road outside all night.

Stayed for a night after orientation at MOState. It was a nice clean room after an exhausting day. The room is small but was fine for one person. There is no counter space in the bathroom. So if you are a female or have a female with you who has makeup or needs to get ready that may be a problem. The street noise is very loud. But it didn't bother me much. I think I would stay again.

The hotel is modern, built in 2018, with a contemporary aesthetic. The staff was friendly and helpful. All the facilities are clean and feel modern, and so is the room. The bed was clean and extremely comfortable--the most comfortable of the three hotels I stayed at during my road trip. The bathroom is great; shower is a modern walk-in design with no door, but there is a curtain to keep the water inside. Everything was pleasant during my stay.

It is a personal preference, but I dislike the contemporary, super-white LED lighting of the interior and reading lamps by the bed. It wasn't a big deal but I wish there was warmer lighting in the room. The hotel isn't in a scenic area so the view is just of the parking lot. None of these things really affected my stay in a material way.

4/20/26 stay. Very clean and great staff. Love that you had the burger bar! Nice to be able to walk down and grab a beer after a long drive. The bartender and chef were great. Great food and drink. Very personable!

Can be loud. The shower is loud and easy to hear from the main room.

I'm a frequent road tripper and have stayed in many chain hotels. This property was one of the best. I highly recommend it.

Staff was very helpful and attentive. Facilities and meeting area were very comfortable.

Cleaning staff should check all clocks and turn off preset alarms. If a room has no one in it and the alarm goes off it will be going continuously and can be heard from adjacent rooms.

Room was to cold for our liking but was easily fixed with raising temp on thermostat.

Had a great time at this hotel as it is located near our bowling tournament which is very convenient. Love this hotel much better than the Lamplighter hotel for sure

Average location. You would need to drive to everywhere. Room is tight, limited, but clean. On the controrary to tight rooms, the hotel spent lots of effrots making its lobby very spacious; well furnitured; offers lots of sitting spaces and gaming computers and game consoles and a burger joints bar on site. I guess young college studens may love this places.. Room although small, but well decorated, with herman miller chair and hand hold cloth steamer. One of the drawbacks is it is too simple that there is just a thin board between bathroom and bedroom (see photo for detail) Staffs are friendly here also. Check out time is 11 am and front desk will knock your door if you do not check out by 11:30 am which is one disadvantege. I hope they consider change check out time to noon as it is a small and simple room, they don't need too much time to clean it. Plus it is almost double the price of another old hotel adjacent to it (yes that hotel is old and this hotel is new) Vib seems to be a mid class hotel by Best Western and there is only one location in the US which is this one. I liked most of this hotel and I will stay here again if I ever visited Springfield MO again.

Very clean, good price, staff is polite and friendly. Great cafe and bar. Parking is close to door and plenty of parking spots.

Man Best Western has upped there A game with this line of VIB Branded Hotel. They will be taken Hilton, Marriot, and Hampton Inns head on with this business class style hotel. This is my second visit to this VIB in Springfield but this trip my oldest daughter came along for a college visit to Missouri State and she agreed it is awesome, rainfall shower with wand option, a cooked breakfast with eggs, sausage, and bread for toast or bagels to toast or French toast sticks with something I have never tried before whipping cream and it was great. The night before we went to a cold cold Missouri State football game and the Espresso / Hot Chocolate machine in the lobby that is available at all times, was used very much when we got back and the next morning by my daughter. The rooms have a Keurig with Starbucks coffee options for your anytime you want and the beds are very comfortable with different pillow styles from firm to soft. My daughter told me the computers in the lobby were gaming style PC but I have not used them.. yet. With a full time restaurant inside the hotel you can order and either eat in your room after a long day or eat right there at the Burger Bar for lunch or supper. This class of hotels would be prefect for airports where you come in the day before and could turn in your rental car that day and stay at the hotel that night and you would need nothing but a shuttle to the airport. There is some sketchy but supposed to be high end hotels in Springfield so you have to be careful what you pick, this Best Western VIB is not one of them. This is my #1 hotel in Springfield and when I come back through there it will be my first pick to look at before deciding where I stay. I highly recommend this Hotel, Best Western it is time to expand this line of hotels I hear you only have 5 in the world.

We need more of these hotels around the United States. There are only two in the US 5 total worldwide Best Western this is a hint, take the big boys on with this style of hotel.

Kind of odd room design, and cramped. Wouldn't want more than 1 person in there. That said, comfortable with excellent service.

Overall loved our stay! Room was clean, staff were friendly and the area around it was decent! Only issue we had, just a personal issue, the room was on the smaller side. Nothing to complain about but something to be mindful of if you decide to book! Will definitely stay here again, regardless!

The Hotel is newly remodeled and comfortable, with a convenient restaurant in the lobby. Rooms are small, but well laid out so you don't feel like you don't have enough space.

The Burger Bar was fantastic! Great food and friendly staff!

Fridge didn’t work, light didn’t work, shower goes all over the floor. Moved to another room for second night and no top sheet on the bed. Overall, subpar hotel. Springfield has a lot to choose from. Don’t choose this one.
