The staff at check-in was exceptionally nice and helpful. We loved the artsy decor and the view. It was clean.

The shower leaked into the room, under the floor boards, making our socks wet. There was a light that didn't work and the toilet banked against the wall. There was a big scratch in the TV.

Good and central location. Cool design of the rooms, bed was big and comfortable. I could extend my check-out time (for a fee) but it was very helpful! staff are all kind (shoutout to the woman at the morning cafe!). Great view of the city!

pillows could be more comfortable. Noise from the adjacent room. One of my bedside lamps didn't work (but i didn't have enough time to report that and it didn't bother me that much). No mini-fridge (but I knew about it).

Too tight. Nowhere to put luggage. Fold down desk useless for working in the room. Had to request fridge. No closet or dresser, just a bunch of hooks to hand stuff on.

Room was a little small - we didn’t mind the wall pegs as a wardrobe but very little space around the bed but we were out and about most of the days so not really an issue

This hotel is the best place I have ever stayed! The views are out of this world!! Worth paying extra to have a high floor with a city view. Everything is trendy, cool, original and so pleasing to experience, ranging from the glass wall to the power shower to the yummy cafe next door. Friendly staff and fantastic central location. Be sure to check if you've already paid the tax in your booking, so that you don't get charged twice.

Location is great, close to Penn Station and on a nice street, it smells amazing during the day when all the flower shops have their flowers and plants out in the street. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room, albeit small, neatly organized and clean. Great views. Free coffee available in the morning. Nice, helpful staff.

The dubious practices with charging destination fee of 35 USD per room per night (one can use 20 USD in the coffeehouse, bar or restaurant). A smoking fee was also added to our invoice out of the blue on the second day of our stay - while we do not even smoke, this felt like a very scammy practice. The hotel put multiple authorization charges on our cards throughout the stay, some of them are still not released - a week after departure. Although some of the authorization charges and issue with the smoking fee were resolved after speaking to staff on-site who was very helpful and apologetic, this affected the general perception and experience with the hotel, hence the low overall rating.

Die Ausstattung war defekt. Safe und Telefon haben nicht funktioniert und wurden auf mehrfaches Hinweisen nicht vollständig behoben. Permanent zu wenig Handtücher erhalten. Für Party geignet, weniger für Familien.

I loved the window view of the Empire State Building and etc. it was my favorite of everything. Love how friendly all staff was. I love great customer service. One of the most important things for me. My job depended on it and I always notice it. You guys are located in a great area.

Voldoende ruimte in de kamer, mooi uitzicht en heerlijk groot bed. Ik heb goed geslapen en geen last gehad van geluid. De kamer had voldoende kledinghaakjes en zelfs een kledingstomer.

Enige wat ik miste in de douche was een douchekop om zelf vast te kunnen houden ipv enkel de regendouche uit het plafond.

Me encantaron las vistas desde el piso 29 y las chicas mexicanas de la cafetería, muy majas. Además el hotel tiene un rooftop desde el que se ve el Empire. Genial todo.

En nuestra habitación había un problema de filtración de agua, filtraba por el suelo directamente y también de la ducha afuera. Lo comentamos pero no se pudo reparar.

The hotel was great but the air conditioner kept breaking in our toom. Our room was 78-80 degrees all the time. They came 4 times to fix but it never worked. They did not offer us another room. The room is beautiful, but so hot it was gross.

The shower flooded into the toilet space, a lot. No place to put anything. If you hung up your clothes you couldn’t watch tv. Terrible pillows, HVAC didn’t work. Room was very hot.

The location of Moxie is super convenient, and all the room was very small. It was brilliantly efficient. Perfect for one person. The facility has a couple of options for dining and drinks, unfortunately two of the three are only open a few days a week. But beautiful property really well done great location. Super friendly staff and nice and clean.

Staycation is the city…Chelsea neighborhood! Streets filled with flowers, delicious eats, rooftop bars and the Moxy brings it all together for you to experience the best of the city. Rooms super mod, comfortable bed, rain shower and a view of the Empire State. Subway accessible. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend highly recommend and would visit again myself.

As ex-New Yorkres, we come to NYC from Boston often via train for weekends and we stayed in multiple different places over the last couple of years, However, Moxy Chelsea has been the best so far. Excellent central location, very clean and versatile rooms. It's impressive to see what can be fitted in a small size room like this. We had everything we needed. You can see the Marriott Bonvoy quality reflected on this Moxy hotel. Also, they made our anniversary very special with room upgrades and surprise decorations. Daily spending credit is a bonus too!

The views, the rooftop bar, location - excellent value for money. Staff were incredibly helpful. The added extras like pastries and coffee from the coffee shop downstairs. Tickets to a cruise, discounts at various attractions around the city. Subway access within 2 minutes walk, restaurants and eateries too numerous to mention all. However, the views were outstanding and take top prize. We booked a King with a view and could see Lady Liberty in the distance. We loved every second minute of our stay. Moxy Chelsea is undoubtedly our hotel of choice going forward.

The property had beautiful views. Friendly staff. Absolutely loved the $20 credit a day to use on coffee or food/drinks. You also get tickets to either a Statue of Liberty tour or museum.

Clean, easy access to subways and plenty of food nearby

The girls had a great stay at Moxy NYC Chelsea for my daughter’s 26th birthday! The location was fantastic—convenient and easy for getting around the city. The view was amazing. The room was about what you’d expect for NYC: compact, with an especially small bathroom that didn’t offer much privacy for four friends sharing a room. That said, what really stood out was the staff. They knew it was a birthday trip and went out of their way to make my daughter feel special, which I truly appreciated. The girls had an absolute blast, and that’s ultimately what mattered most. I’d definitely recommend the Moxy Chelsea for a fun NYC getaway, especially if location and atmosphere are priorities.

Great hotel and great location ! Very clean and comfortable! The rooftop bar is amazing with a great view! Short wait time for elevators . The rooms are very small , and I do wish there had been a mini fridge , but the credit next door and free coffee was a nice option . Staff were very professional and helpful . Check in was smooth , and storage of bags was efficient. Loved having a mini clothes steamer . My room was missing a hairdryer , but the housekeeping staff brought one immediately. Diana and Shanice at front desk were especially friendly and helpful . Live this street and location , and we will definitely book again !

I had a really disappointing experience at MOXY. After the room was cleaned, I noticed that my Louis Vuitton perfume was missing from my room. I immediately raised the issue, but the front desk did not provide the level of support I expected, and the situation was not properly addressed. Someone entering my room and taking my personal belongings is completely unacceptable. I stayed at a hotel expecting basic security and respect for my property. I’m sharing this so people are aware and take extra care with their valuables if they choose to stay here. For me, this experience has completely changed my view of MOXY, and I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.

Highly recommend Moxy in Chelsea. Great price, location, food, drinks and views. Definitely will be returning.

Somewhat disappointed with the pillows

Our family’s first trip to New York City from Kazakhstan was made truly special by our stay at Moxy Chelsea! We absolutely loved the hotel, the atmosphere and especially the beautiful view of the Empire State Building. But what really stood out was the incredible customer service. A huge thank you to Genessy, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Along with Liz, she arranged a wonderful room upgrade and a beautiful surprise that made our family’s first NYC experience even more memorable. Those thoughtful touches meant so much to us. We truly felt the care and hospitality from the moment we arrived. Moxy Chelsea is now a very special part of our first New York memories. Thank you, Genessy and Liz, for making our stay unforgettable! We absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back!

I really appreciate the hotel location! It was near some flower markets and it was always beautiful and smelled really good when leaving the hotel. I loved the vibes . We did opt for a smaller room as we were only staying a few nights. I wish there was a closet and traditional door on the bathroom rather than sliding door. The price was very fair for the amount we got and the experience of the hotel.

Great room, comfortable and good size for NYC. Had a very nice view on the 25th floor. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Would have been nice to have an ice bucket option, and a small amenities shop like some Moxy locations have.

I liked the location of the property and the vibes the building had.

I didn’t like how my floor was flooded and like you’d step on the tiles and water would seep out. Also the $20 a day wasn’t as advertised and I never got my refund from that.

Excellent location!!! Chill vibes-friendly, beautiful rooms with a view of ESBNY highly recommend! The cafes on site change depending on the time of day from coffee and pastries to Italian at night but both were so good and you receive food credits per day! Missed the chance to check out the rooftop because they’re not open on Mondays FYI! Would stay again for sure! Awesome experience!

Trapped water under floor from shower leak that’s obviously been there for quite a while.

Upon arrival, I was quickly greeted by a gentleman that appeared to be a manager. He was exceptionally polite, courteous and efficient. The young lady, I forgot her name, but she was so kind and patient. The hotel ran out of wash cloths but room service quickly arrived with hand towels and bath towels. The room was clean. The boutique hotel was super cute! I didn’t have an opportunity to experience the full hotel but it was situated in a great location in Chelsea. A short walkable commute to the subway, nearby dining options and 17 min walk to Times Square. I would return again!

This hotel is very much for a younger crowd, or a party crowd. I knew from the photos it looked chic but walking through the lobby felt like a club vibe, and it didn’t feel too personal. Nobody really greets you, maybe one guy did who was super nice. Felt like overwhelming everytime coming in. In the actual room, it was quiet and nice so that was good! The view was awesome. I was frustrated because the toilet seat was broken the entire time and almost slid off every time I sat down, messaged the hotel multiple times to fix it and they said they wouldn’t and didn’t, so that made it kinda uncomfortable. The beds aren’t comfortable or the pillows either. The location, is definitely in a busy area but you are very central to try a lot in New York which was cool. A lot of food and coffee options around, and a subway stop really close. At the end of the trip the lady checking me out was the nicest one and asked if I needed a car and arranged it, that was probably the best part of the experience so I appreciate her! Other than that, didn’t really care for the amenities. I probably wouldn’t come back, just because it’s not the energy I want, I want a more restful and feels like home place, and with really welcoming staff. Just felt like I paid a lot to be in the city; but I think that’s the point. So it wasn’t terrible, but just not the best.

The rooms had great views of NYC. Tiny rooms but it was expected and for a single person wasn’t a big deal. Rooftop was a huge plus.

Nice rooms and location

Tried calling crew from my hotel phone and no one answered. I tried multiple times and diffrent times. The guy that checked me in seemed very confused and before I left mentioned the $20 dollar credit I could use but not explaining anything else or how it worked. He seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing.

The water was leaking from the shower underneath the floorboards, it smelled like dirty sewage pipes, the staff were inexperienced and did not offer me to change rooms.

I absolutely loved the location. The flower district is such a vibe in the summer months. The location is walkable for downtown access. The full windows with a view was a great touch to the room.

I had a wonderful stay at the Moxy Chelsea. The rooftop club was absolutely incredible, with fantastic views of the Manhattan skyline, and my room offered beautiful skyline views as well. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, especially Marvin, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and made me feel very well taken care of. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Moxy Chelsea!

Very pleasantly surprised to find the Moxy hotel listing in my United hotel mileage plus booking app after having visited the rooftop bar long ago for swing dancing events. The view from my room was absolutely perfect because I along with several million concerned individuals led by a group of musicians spent many hours on activism to save the 40 buildings from demolition on W.30th St. My visit was for business and the entire staff made it one of the most special hotel stays I've ever had. Also being in the flower district is a joyful experience and I look forward to exploring the other Manhattan locations but this one is really special. Thanks so much to everyone at the Chelsea Moxy!

Very nice lounger bar. Great view from 33rd floor overlooking the Empire Building.

We arrived at 2:30 but check in was at 4pm- fair enough we waited in the lobby- in the end we had to wait until 5pm for the room with absolutely no apology. When i complained they offered a room without a view on a lower floor eve though i had paid for a different room- of course i refused. Very very small rooms- absolutely no space to open the suitcases. Problematic AC which kept switching on and off to regulate the temperature- which ended up becoming too warm. The soundproofing was very poor- you could hear people upstairs and on the same floor.

Overall great location and the staff was great.

A bit expensive for a hotel that does not provide proper breakfast and the rooms are extremely small.

Moxy is a Nice place located in a central place of New York. So this makes it super easy for visits from that point. The staff is very Nice and skilled.

Location was great and convenient to get to places to be honest. It is also near food places i would go to. Staff was very nice and accommodating. taking public transportation was easy from here and overall good.

The room definitely had water damage. The floor was puffed up in some places, water leaking from the shower into the toilet area. It wasnt just the areas near the bathroom, but it went up to the window and around the bed. The A/C especially during summer is awful. Why is it motion sensored? You always wake up sweating because the A/C doesnt turn on while you sleep.

There was clearly a leak that was pulling up the laminate flooring in our room. Very musty and damp in the room. Water was just sitting under the floors after every shower. You would walk and water would squirt up at you from the floor. Bar at the second floor not open, club not easy to get into unless the bouncers like you even if you stay at the property. No refrigerator in room for medical insulin so had to keep ordering buckets of ice.

Perfect location and very nice hotel. Would definitely stay here again anytime.

Clean, friendly, good location, daily credit at coffee shop. Had 2 rooms, each with double beds. Those rooms comfortably fit two adults; any more than that is a bit crowded.

I will definitely stay at the Moxy again! The prices were competitive, the location to the subways and busses were great, the atmosphere was wonderful!!

Location was nice! Liked the aesthetics of the hotel. The rooms are a little small and bathroom and shower only have a sliding door. It feels like there’s not much separation between bed and bathroom. Good to go with partner or alone but not necesssrily to share room with friends if you care about privacy.

My AC did not work very well.

Convenient location, room was clean, hotel lobby was loud, but room floor very quiet. They offer $20/day to spend on the caffe (enough for a latte and a pastry) or at the lobby bar.

They could offer some better transportation deals, some other hotels in the area offer free airport shuttle.

Room was small but had an exceptional view. The check-in was a little crazy packed with excited vacationers, but the staff, valet, and luggage folks handled it with grace. The young man who checked us in was laser focused on customer service and on setting everyone up in their rooms. Valet took great care of our car and our luggage was checked in quickly.

The hostess at Fleur Lounge was too fussy and didn't let us select a table even though we had reservations, were there for two hours, and the area we requested had empty tables for the whole two hours we were there.

I always stay at the Moxy in Chelsea. It’s my favorite location and hotel in Chelsea. It’s a great location to get in and out of. The hotel has an amazing rooftop and bar. The beds are extremely comfortable! The views are beyond exceptional! Truly always such a great experience!

I would say that when busy the check in can be a bit chaotic. So possibly having a self check in station when it gets really busy.

Great staff brought us water last. It’s gentleman gave me points because air broke cool roof top very clean rooms and very quiet thank you

The 2 staff we met were friendly and the AC was good.

The bathroom was shit, only 2 towels, no mini fridge/mini bar, no body lotion even, no q-tips/cotton ball little pack, our TV was broken so couldn’t watch anything, and the shower leaked everywhere. Only good thing was AC.

Terrible service and zero hospitality. Avoid this place. I had an absolutely awful experience checking out today. The digital mobile key failed to work, leaving me locked out of my room. When I went to the front desk for help, the agent (a Black gentleman) completely blew past the fact that the hotel’s technology had failed. Instead of focusing on correcting the mistake, he chose to give me a massive attitude and forced an unnecessary confrontation. He aggressively insisted on re-verifying my information and argued with me about my checkout time, treating me like I was in the wrong—right up until he actually looked at his screen, saw my loyalty status, and realized I did have an approved late checkout. What should have been a quick, 8-minute trip to grab my luggage turned into a stressful 30-minute ordeal that almost caused me to miss my train. It is pathetic that a guest has to flash status just to be treated with basic decency. Zero accountability and completely unacceptable customer service.

The rooms were as pictured and described. Everyone on property staff were really nice. I enjoyed the restaurants/bars and club access the hotel provided it was nice. I would highly recommend this for solo girls trips or couples . It was in a good area that was easy to get to a lot of places with the subway being steps away. Also if your looking for a room with a view it is truely worth getting a room here

Family of 4 (two pre-teens), first time to NYC. Room accommodations were perfect, we enjoyed our own beds in the bunk bed room. Hotel was centrally located to many things. Enjoyed the view of the Empire State Building as well.
