Aliz Hotel Times Square

Great central location close to Times Square and the Subway. Area had a few good places to eat. The view from our room was amazing! The daily water refill in mini fridge was nice touch. Petals on the bed as was our Anniversary. Shower facilities were great. Enjoyed the 2 included drinks and $25 food voucher to spend in the restaurant.

Lifts were busy and took quite a while to arrive and for us to get to floor 38. Room was fairly small but thats to be expected , maybe a few more hanging hooks.

Der Zugang zur Rooftopbar war diesmal durch nicht sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter blockiert. Es war nicht möglich einen Tisch als Gast zu kriegen da hat man lieber externe Gäste bevorzugt. An einem Tag kam auch gar kein Roomservice.

The property was close to a lot of attractions.

The room was quite small. I did not receive the double bed I requested at the time of booking . They were overbooked. The bathroom was partially clean. The front desk staff tried their best to make up for these mistakes, but I think it was still frustrating especially that I booked well in advance.

Obviously in a great location close to Times Square. The hotel has a really cool bar situated on a high number floor that escapes me but the views from there to enjoy a drink with are fantastic. A restaurant on the ground floor was great place to catch a World Cup game and the drink and nachos went down very well. Rooms are ok size wise but you're out all day so not an issue, very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and no hassle.

Un temps d’attente énorme pour les ascenseurs. Je pensais que c’était un détail, mais c’est vraiment très long : parfois, il faut attendre 10 minutes ou plus pour avoir son ascenseur. Réservation pour 4 personnes avec le petit-déjeuner inclus, comme indiqué sur la réservation. En arrivant, on nous indique que le petit-déjeuner n’est inclus que pour deux personnes, alors que nous avons bien réservé pour 4 personnes avec le petit-déjeuner inclus. À 25 ou 30 dollars le petit-déjeuner par personne et par jour, c’est vraiment limite… À l’arrivée, on nous donne un jeton d’une valeur de 25 dollars, utilisable pour un petit-déjeuner ou un cocktail. Nous décidons de l’utiliser au rooftop de l’hôtel, mais celui-ci n’est pas accepté. On aurait aimé le savoir avant. Une alarme incendie se déclenche et les haut-parleurs grésillent tellement qu’on n’entend rien. Nous descendons donc en catastrophe par les escaliers (la tour est haute), pour finalement apprendre qu’il s’agit simplement d’un test. On aurait aussi aimé être prévenus, surtout lorsqu’on doit descendre les escaliers avec une cheville tordue… Quel enfer. Concernant une partie du personnel, notamment celui de l’accueil : vraiment aucun effort pour essayer de dialoguer ou d’aider. Je veux bien que l’on doive parler anglais, mais dans un hôtel international, faire un minimum d’effort et sourire ne devrait pas être si compliqué. Une bouteille d’eau devait être déposée chaque jour dans la chambre. Il a fallu la demander chaque jour. Même problème pour les serviettes de bain : nous étions 4, mais à chaque fois, il n’y avait que 2 ou 3 serviettes. Nous devions donc systématiquement aller en demander. Rajoutez à cela 10 minutes d’attente pour descendre et encore 10 minutes pour remonter avec les ascenseurs… L’exaspération peut se comprendre, surtout lorsque les mêmes erreurs se répètent chaque jour.

The view from our room was good, although it was disappointing that we couldn’t open the window - having safety latches fitted would have made a big difference, particularly as fresh air is important. The location, however, is ideal and is one of the hotel’s strongest points. Lastly, the staff deserve recognition. Despite clearly being underpaid and working in what appears to be challenging conditions, they continued to serve guests with a smile and remained pleasant and courteous throughout. They were undoubtedly one of the better aspects of our stay.

We booked this hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary and, quite honestly, we could not have been more disappointed. For the amount of money charged, the experience was nowhere near the standard we expected. The room: Far too small and clearly not designed for a comfortable or extended stay. The photographs are misleading and make the room appear considerably larger than it actually is. Storage was extremely limited. At these prices, guests should not feel as though they are trying to live in a cupboard. The bed: Extremely uncomfortable and needs replacing. A hotel room can look beautiful, but if you cannot get a decent night's sleep, what exactly are you paying for? Food and drinks: Overpriced and poor quality. There was also virtually no choice when it came to hot drinks — coffee was the only option. Paying premium prices for below-par food and limited choice is simply unacceptable. Our anniversary: This was the biggest let-down. We were celebrating 30 years of marriage, yet there was absolutely no acknowledgement whatsoever. No gesture, no thoughtful touch, nothing. We weren't expecting special treatment, but some basic recognition of such an important occasion would have been appreciated. Rooftop garden: Another major disappointment. The rooftop garden was unavailable to paying hotel guests because it was being used for private parties. We were then left having to go downstairs to the lobby repeatedly just to find out whether it was open. This was inconvenient and completely took away from the experience. Ultimately, the photographs and the price promise far more than the actual experience delivers. For the money, we expected comfort, quality, good facilities and some attention to detail. Instead, we got a cramped room, an uncomfortable bed, overpriced and disappointing food, restricted facilities and absolutely no recognition of our special occasion. Our 30th wedding anniversary was supposed to be memorable for all the right reasons.

I’m so happy I picked Aliz Hotel for our stay. The view from our room was amazing, and view from the roof top was absolutely spectacular . The staff was very nice and helpful . The room wasn’t big but that’s what is like in NY. It was very clean and very comfortable bed . If I wanna stay in Times Square again, I definitely gonna pick Aliz Hotel ☺️

Location is exceptional. Rooms typical for central New York, comfortable but small. Clean though and slept well.

Sadly we felt like the staff rely upon the location (they know they'll always have bookings) so service is very lacking. Was rudely informed by one staff member that if I wanted another paper cup (to make coffee in our room - only 2x cups provided for entire 3x night stay), I would need to pay for it! Breakfast is also unwelcoming - we booked for a family of 4 but only 2x people can eat breakfast for free (via a voucher) and despite advertising the price of the breakfast in the elevator, informed at door of restaurant that breakfast was actually more expensive than advertised and our voucher therefore didn't even cover the cost of the 2x people it apparently covered. Wait for the elevators (especially in the evenings when only 2 of the 3 are available as the third is used exclusively for their rooftop bar) is unacceptable. Be warned!

My family was accommodated in a double room with two double beds. The room was extremely narrow and dark. We had a small window that looked out onto the backyard. The sink in the bathroom was clogged, The front desk service is very slow. Every day, whether it was morning or evening, there were very long lines in front of the elevators and you had to wait up to 10 minutes for an elevator. The hotel lobby is very small and cannot accommodate guests who want to check in or leave the hotel and those waiting for the elevators.

Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Location is perfect for NYC visit. View from top open terrace is awesome. Bar and breakfast is excellent. They offered complimentary drinks and breakfast voucher without additional hidden fee. Valet parking is good

ביחס לחדרים בניו יורק החדר מסודר היטב, נקי ומאובזר. כל יום שמים בחדר 2 בקבוקי מים. הצוות בלובי מאוד שירותי. כיף שיש רופטופ במלון. נוף מהמם. נחמד שמקבלים ציפ של 25 דולר ושני קוקטיילים מתנה, רק שהם לא ברופטופ אלא בבר בלובי, אבל עדיין נחמד.

אי אפשר באמת לקרוא לזה בר בלובי. זה דלפק עם 3 כיסאות. הציפ של ה25 דולר ניתן לשימוש בא.בוקר אבל צריך להוסיף עוד 5 דולר. זו ממש לא א.בוקר של 30 דולר. עדיף לאכול בחוץ.

Ubytování objednáno 3 pokoje pro rodiny po 4 osobách. Hned večer, a vlastně po celou dobu pobytu jsme se potýkali s chybějícími ručníky, ne jedna rodina, všichni. Na první snídani jsme se dozvěděli, že snídaně je na pokoj jen pro 2 osoby, když booking tvrdil, že má být snídaně v ceně. Po poměrně dlouhé komunikaci s operátorem bookingu od dalšího dne byla snídaně pro všechny. Za první den 6 lidí, kteří si snídani museli zaplatit ( 30 USD pro osobu) jsme žádali alespoň nějakou kompenzaci, na naši žádost mailem hotel nereagoval, booking věc zahrál do autu.

3 small elevators servicing 40+ floors and long wait times for an open elevator, disappointing customer service (we were given the wrong key card and walked in on someone actively in the room, and had a broken hair dryer, called for a new one and were brought another broken hair dryer) and when they were faced with our issues they just apologized without any other attempt to make our stay more enjoyable through the multiple issues we faced

The hotel is in a good location and within walking distance of Broadway and Times Square. There are also plenty of coffee shops, food stops, money exchange places and other conveniences nearby. A 7-Eleven is just a stone’s throw from the hotel, which is very convenient. The rooms are on the small side but come with a coffee machine and a steam iron for your clothes. The rooms are quite dark, and the lighting could definitely be better. The air conditioning is also very noisy and loud. Unfortunately, the beds are quite uncomfortable, as are the pillows, but if you are mainly using the hotel as somewhere to sleep, then it is manageable. Breakfast is fairly standard and nothing too exciting. The hotel provides one $25 token per room, which can be spent on beverages or put towards breakfast or dinner. Breakfast costs $35, so you have to pay the difference, which isn’t too bad. Alternatively, you can buy drinks, snacks and other bits and pieces from the downstairs bar using your token. The hotel also has a good viewpoint on the 40th floor. However, if you are travelling with children, they cannot access the viewpoint because you have to be 21 or over due to the bar being located there. You are provided with two complimentary bottles of water per day per room, with no extras included. If you need more water, you can fill up bottles from the fountain on the lower ground floor or buy your own. Housekeeping was good throughout our stay. Overall, we had a good stay and the location is definitely one of the hotel’s biggest advantages. One thing to mention is that some of the reception staff can be quite abrasive. However, there were also staff members who were very helpful. In particular, there was one guy at reception with blonde highlights in his hair who was extremely helpful, although unfortunately I can’t remember his name. Overall, I would say this is a good hotel if location and convenience are your priorities. The rooms and beds could be more comfortable, and the lighting and air conditioning could certainly be improved, but overall it was a good stay.

The rooms were good, comfortable and overall met our expectations. We had no particular issues with the accommodation itself.

The elevators are a weak point. There are only three for the entire hotel, and from late afternoon onwards one of them is used to take people to the rooftop. This leaves hotel guests with even less capacity and makes the already long waiting times noticeably worse. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. Our Booking.com reservation showed breakfast as included, but once we arrived we were told that it was only included for 2 guests out of our group of 8. The hotel explained that this was due to how Booking.com presented the reservation rather than an error on their side, and we can understand that. However, we do not think guests should discover such an important discrepancy only after arriving at the hotel. If there is a mismatch between what Booking.com advertises and what the hotel actually provides, the hotel should either resolve it with Booking.com or clearly inform guests before their stay. This would allow customers to understand the actual conditions of their reservation and make an informed decision beforehand. In our case, the hotel’s handling of the situation was not sufficient to properly protect its guests, which is disappointing considering that the rooms themselves were perfectly fine.

The location is great for easy access in and out of New York City via the Lincoln Tunnel, and it is a short trip from Times Square. The rooms are a bit small, and the full-size beds are too small to comfortably sleep four people per room. However, the overall experience was good.

Todo estaba en muy buen estado y muy limpio, la habitación muy completa, aunque algo pequeña y con un armario muy escaso para los 4 que estábamos alojados (nosotros y dos niños), pero había cafetera con café renovado a diario, nos ponían un par de botellitas de agua cada día, había plancha vertical y secador, el baño y la ducha muy cómodos... Por la puntuación que tenía lo esperaba peor, la verdad, pero lo cierto es que estaba muy bien. No tuvimos muchos problemas de espera con los ascensores, como había leído. La ubicación es muy buena, a unos 5 minutos de Times Square, fuimos caminando a muchas visitas. Tiene una boca de metro en la esquina y a una calle en cualquier dirección varios restaurantes o establecimientos de comida decentes (dentro de lo que es NY) y un deli estupendo a 2 minutos. El rooftop del hotel, una coctelería para adultos, muy bien.

Tuvimos un problema antes y al llegar, porque al hacer la reserva (casi un año antes) ponía que incluía desayuno pero dos semanas antes nos comunicaron que el desayuno era solo para 2 de los huéspedes ¿???? Lo peleé por mail con ellos pero no fue hasta llegar ahí y ponernos muy firmes con el personal de recepción (y con la mediación de Booking) que logramos que respetasen las condiciones de la reserva original. Al final cumplieron, pero no es agradable empezar reclamando algo que te corresponde. Tuve la sensación durante todas las vacaciones de que éramos "los que no quisieron pagar los desayunos"... Pero bueno, el desayuno bien, no muy variado, pero completo y rico. Si no hubiera sido por este incidente, seguramente le hubiera puesto 5 estrellas. El personal del hotel podía ser más amable. Las chicas de limpieza, las más majas, eso sí.

Stanza consegnata alle 2 di notte. Io e mia moglie con 1 bambino ed un ragazzo nella lobby ad aspettare sulle poltrone stanchi e distrutti dal viaggio. Motivo? La stanza si doveva pulire. Dalle 22 circa, orario del primo arrivo! Allora andiamo a fare un giro e cenare fuori lasciando lì i bagagli, rientriamo verso l'una di notte e ci danno la stessa ed identica motivazione. La stanza si deve pulire, così aspettiamo circa un'altra ora giù con tutti i disagi del caso. Nella stessa condizione una coppia di italiani in viaggio di nozze, loro la ebbero una mezz'ora prima. Nel frattempo ingressi continui davanti ai nostri occhi di doppie e quadruple. E la risposta alla reception sempre la stessa, senza alcuna empatia. Addirittura un altro membro dello staff quando persi la pazienza che erano quasi le 2 di notte mi invitò ad uscire fuori dalla struttura. Roba da incubo!

Lamentable e inesperadamente muchas cosas....Éramos 4 y la habitación era demasiado pequeña, aún teniendo dos camas de 135, teníamos que ser muy disciplinados para que no fuese un agobio. ...casi nunca nos cambiaban todas las toallas ( no se secaban al dejarlas colgadas), nos dijeron que no había para todos...en varias ocasiones las camas no las hicieron, las disimularon.....los dos últimos días sin gel de ducha...no tenían sabana de arriba, solo bajera y directamente el edredón (si, edredón en verano!)...el hall es tan pequeño que se sobresatura en numerosas ocasiones, y que decir de los ascensores, no es que se saturen en hora punta es que tienes que armarte de pa ciencia cada vez que quieres utilizarlos (sea la hora que sea), tiene solo 3 y uno parece monopolizado para su ir al bar se la 40.....en resumen un hotel saturado en todo salvo en el desayuno, que sorprendentemente funciona bastante bien. Gran parte del personal, por lo general, muy poco amable, se salvan algunos de recepción y algunas señoras de la limpieza). Dejo para el final lo que más me dolió, y es algo que no me había ocurrido nunca. Teníamos desayuno incluido, para cerciorarme envié un mensaje al hotel para confirmarlo, semanas antes con respuesta afirmativa. El primer dia me encuentro la gran sorpresa, una vez deayunados, de que me han cobrado dos de ellos (por lo visto mis hijos no tenían derecho). En ningún momento me avisaron ni acepte el cargo.Al quejarme en recepción una señorita prácticamente se desentendió, alegando que tenía que resolverlo con "Booking". ...pero como vais a incluir solo a la mitad de la familia?, donde pone eso?, pero como que me busque la vida?, su problema de gestión se convierte en el mío, obviando el mensaje del hotel de confirmación ( al no estar firmado no hay culpable). Al final estuve todo el día con el tema en la cabeza, intentando contactar con Booking. Doce horas después conseguí que desde Booking les llamaran y convencieran de que tenía razón.

Lage top, Zimmer war sauber, Gute Aussicht in Richtung Norden

Aufzüge brauchen manchmal ewig da diese auch von Personal und Rooftop Bar genutzt werden. Wir sind sogar mal auf die Treppe ausgewichen weil der Aufzug, der nach 7 min endlich kam komplett überfüllt war (14. Stock!) Klimaanlage im Zimmer sehr laut.

Locatie midden in centrum. Verder nette kamer die elke dag werd schoongemaakt.

Hadden voor 3 personen geboekt, en je had een kamer met 2 twijfelaars. Dus met 2 volwassen personen lig je krap. We hadden geboekt inclusief ontbijt, echter moesten we elke dag voor 1 persoon bijbetalen. Hotel gaf aan dat dit afspraken zijn met Booking.com (2 personen inclusief en aanvullend moet bijbetalen), en Booking.com verwijst weer naar hotel. Dus zijn hier best wel ontevreden aangezien je fors betaald voor het hotel en dan ook nog eens ruim 30 dollar extra voor ontbijt moet betalen. En afwikkeling hieromtrent gaat ook niet heel makkelijk!! Daarnaast was ontbijt minimaal, in ogenschouw nemende dat je dus 30 dollar moest bijbetalen pp.

The hotel is lovely and quiet even though it is situated right in the heart of the tourist locations in New York. Room was small but lovely, with a great view. Staff were all really friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was perfect. We were given a poker chip to spend in the shop €25, and a voucher for 2 welcome drinks in the lobby bar which was a lovely touch and unexpected.

I was worried about long delays for the elevators after reading other reviews but we didn’t ever have to wait more than a few minutes and didn’t find it a problem.

The location of this hotel is very convenient, with the subway literally down the road (42nd street). It is in the middle of Times Square. Staff were always polite, helpful and courteous - nothing was too much trouble. The room itself was not very spacious but it was very nicely decorated. We got moved and upgraded to a deluxe room on our 2nd day due to our air-con breaking, and the view was amazing! We also got a 25$ chip to spend on food/drinks in the downstairs bar, as well as 2 free welcome drinks. The staff also do wellness checks if you stay with them for more than a couple of days, and they held our luggage for us after we checked out. The only downside I would say is being over 40 floors and 3 lifts, they are slow - but you’d get that anywhere lol. A very nice hotel overall!

I primi 2 giorni non ho avuto la colazione per 4 ma per 2, e solo dopo l intervento di booking me l hanno data, inoltre l ultimo giorno non hanno rifatto la camera, e mi hanno s3mpre dato 3 asciugamani anziché 4. Mi aspettavo molto di più

Pas dormi la semaine à cause d’une grève À côté l’hôtel. Nous étions 4 on nous a mis 3 serviettes toutes la semaines Les ascenseurs un calvaire 3 ascenseurs pour 40 étages

Tesis temiz ve modern. Odalar küçük ancak güzel dizayn edilmiş. Civardaki pek çok aynı sınıftaki otellere göre çalışanlar daha profesyonel ve oldukça yardımcı. Tekrar kalmak isteyeceğim bir otel.

Binanın küçük olması nedeniyle odalar da küçük. Koridorlar dar. Keşke aynı ekip daha geniş bir mekanda hizmet verseydi.

Located close to Times Square, lovely air-conditioned room, across the road from Port Authority Subway station. The hotel left lovely balloons and a Happy birthday banner in the room for my birthday! $25 dollar credit and welcome drinks given on arrival which was a lovely touch. Staff were very helpful and they stored our bags the morning we checked out for a few hours. A great hotel to stay if wanting to see the sights around the city yet quiet enough to get a good nights sleep on the comfortable bed!

The hotel is in a great location, especially if you want to be close to all the action in Times Square. It was convenient for getting around and exploring New York City.

The Wi-Fi was inconsistent and didn’t work properly all the time, which was frustrating during our stay. The elevators were probably the biggest issue. With the number of guests staying at the hotel and the number of floors, getting an elevator up or down could be a pretty annoying experience. There were often waits, and using the elevators during busy times was not ideal.

Excelente ubicación. Habitación muy cómoda y limpia. Desayuno muy completo. Personal muy atento.

The wiev and location

most of the staff was rude and not helpful. we got information when we booked the hotel that the breakfast was included. we showed the information to the staff and they just said sorry must been a mistake. The breakfast cost was 31 dollar.

Io ho prenotato una stanza per due adulti e una ragazza di 15 anni la camera invece era per due persone e anche la colazione era prenotata solo per due persone, pessima comunicazione e comunque anche Booking non mi ha per nulla assistito, sta volta pessimo servizio

Quarto simples, mas para quem vai conhecer NY, só precisa dele para dormir. E neste aspecto, está ótimo.

Hôtel idéalement situé, non loin de Times Square et à deux pas du métro et de la gare routière. Chambre satisfaisante, propre et confortable. Bon petit-déjeuner.

Le personnel du petit-déjeuner pourrait être plus aimable et plus accueillant. Beaucoup de bruit en salle lors du petit-déjeuner. Manque de chaleur de la part du personnel. De plus, l'attente aux ascenseurs peut être parfois longue.

Location was great staff friendly and helpful

Food offering was not great. Our accommodation included the breakfast, which was very limited and I'd have preferred not to have had it. The only other food offering was a burger. The rooms are small but adequate.
