Comfort Next to rail station
Hotel Review There is no smart TV, and the hotel offers only 20 cable channels. Of these, 11 are non-English channels, with just 2 news channels, 2 sports channels, 1 radio channel, 1 kids’ channel, 1 documentary channel, 1 promotional channel, and 1 very outdated movie channel. The lobby is located on the 41st floor, while the rooms are on floors in the 30s. The bridge to the railway station is on Level 1. However, you cannot travel between all levels of the hotel without passing through the lobby on the 41st floor, which is very inconvenient. Even when going to the railway station, you have to pass through the lobby before accessing the bridge. We stayed in two rooms for 9 nights. When making the booking, we specifically requested a late check-out because our flight was late. We were given only a 2-hour extension for one room, supposedly due to limited availability. However, Booking.com was showing plenty of rooms available at the same time, which made the hotel’s response rather disappointing.
Very comfortable, spacious room, beautiful aesthetically.
- very spacious room - clean - aircon was cold and comfortable - service was great
Getting to the room from the parking area required taking three different lifts, which was actually quite inconvenient and annoying. (Approximately, 20mins ish depending on the crowd)
館内は綺麗でした。
Breakfast very good and not over the top for size although you can help yourself to buffet as well Bar and welcome from staff after a long flight Complimentary coffee machine and snacks on each floor Room size is huge plus we were upgraded as well
Design of hotel means having to use 2 lifts to access room

Breakfast was really good. Very very impressive.

Cadre calme et chic. La piscine est très agréable avec une vue magnifique qui surplombe sur la ville. La vue depuis notre chambre était magnifique.
Clean spacious room. Attached cafe very handy. Located close to a LRT station

Crazy nice hotel with excellent views of the city and new feeling interior. Could walk to restaurants in Bangsar
Room smelled a bit of cigarettes. Rooms and Reception are on the 35th+ floors of the building, so expect to take elevators anytime you come and go.
Pulita, confortevole, tranquilla
Si vede che è parte di una grande catena, quindi nulla di speciale o memorabile, ma servizio impeccabile
De kamer was fantastisch! Ruim, schoon, vriendelijk personeel, lekkere badkamer, lekker bed, mooi uitzicht.
Zwembad was een beetje klein en de wijk waar het ligt
Beautiful view from the room, nice interiors and big rooms with all necessary
Our room smelled like someone was smoking there for the last 10 years
Super modern. Tolles Design.

The aircon went down to 20 but it was so hot as Malaysia heat very hard to sleep and the heat in the lift was so bad and you also had to go in 3 different lifts to get to the car and pay for parking
Despite an unexpectedly hidden and inaccessible location off the main road, the hotel room was exactly as pictured. The stay was for only one night, which made the convenience of their shuttle service to three different locations particularly helpful. Overall, the accurate room presentation and complimentary transport balanced out the initial location drawback.
Amazing view and clean large room with nice furnishings, direct access to LRT bringing you to good locations. Also a really good breakfast
I want to start with the positives. Check-in was genuinely pleasant, and I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite. Getting to the hotel is also very convenient, whether by taxi, which is relatively inexpensive, or via the metro, since Alila is connected by bridge to the train station. That said, there were several things that did not meet five-star expectations. The welcome gift was a fruit platter, but most of the fruit was not really edible, so it did not feel particularly welcoming. Breakfast is served on the ground floor, which means a ride down 41 floors every morning, so guests should be prepared for that. The buffet selection is quite limited, although the à la carte menu does offer a decent variety of Western and local dishes. Service was also inconsistent. On my first day, I checked the sign for my room to be made up at around 9 a.m., but when I returned at 3 p.m. it still had not been cleaned, and I had to call reception to get it done. The pool was another disappointment: it was extremely cold and, in my view, basically unusable. Since the pool is clearly one of the hotel’s main selling points, that was especially frustrating. The gym was also very small and poorly equipped. I was fortunate to have an Anytime Fitness nearby at the train station, which was a much better option and only a five-minute walk away. Otherwise, the in-house gym would have been very limiting. Another disappointing aspect was the breakfast policy on my departure day. My flight was early, so I asked whether breakfast could be packed for me to take away, since it was included in my booking. Front office declined and instead suggested I pay for breakfast to go, which was the first time I have ever encountered that at a 5-star hotel. I also found the chauffeur service very limited. There was no downtown service, and it ended at 6 p.m., which feels impractical in a tropical destination where guests are often out early or later in the evening. It gave the impression that some services exist more in theory than in practice. Finally, I was disappointed by the low level of English among the staff. On several occasions I had to be redirected at reception because the person I was speaking to could not understand me, and even the staff member who was supposed to have the strongest English was still quite difficult to communicate with. That is not what I would expect from a five-star hotel in Southeast Asia. Overall, this felt more like a four-star experience than a five-star one. The check-in experience was strong, but too many details fell short of the standard I expected.
I recently booked a 2-night solo stay at Alila Bangsar on a random Thursday, mainly to unlock the Alila brand for my Hyatt Brand Explorer and to celebrate a recent work milestone. I booked a Deluxe Balcony room (495 sq ft, City View) through Hyatt Privé. They upgraded me to Premier Room 590 sq ft City View (No balcony), which was great! Lissa at the reception was very polite. The hotel is relatively small with only 143 rooms and suites. Front desk mentioned they were at full occupancy, though it honestly didn't seem like it. The common areas, breakfast venue, and bar were very quiet throughout my stay. Early check-in wasn't available, which was strange. However, the soft service at check-in and reception left a bit to be desired: Welcome Amenity & Acknowledgement: There was no welcome amenity in the room upon arrival. I gave them about an hour and a half before calling reception to check. They eventually sent up some fruit with a generic note. Despite noting my work milestone in the booking, it wasn't acknowledged at all. The Room (Hard Product): The room itself is huge, spotless, and the bed was remarkably comfortable. I had a great sleep! There is a separate sitting area, and a bathroom with a rainfall shower. The rain shower had fantastic water pressure, definitely a highlight. I loved that they provide unlimited snacks on every floor. Dining & Amenities: Breakfast: Excellent quality. It is a hybrid buffet and à la carte setup with a solid mix of local and international options. The restaurant staff provided outstanding service. Especially Manav! He was excellent!!! Bar: Very quiet, I was literally the only person there during my visit. Gym: Located on the 40th floor. It has all the basics for a simple workout but it not cleaned very frequently as there are sweat stains on the treadmill. Even the washroom has a strange smell. Pool & Aesthetics: The hotel design and pool are extremely photogenic and very "Instagrammable." Elevators: A lot of reviews complain about the slow elevators. They are indeed slow, but it personally didn't bother me much. Final Verdict: The hard product is solid, but the overall service was pretty unmemorable and not personal. It's not worth booking through Hyatt Prive, there is no difference in service than if you book through 3rd parties For a special occasion, it missed the mark on hospitality. I give it 3/5. Would I return? No. In KL for that category, I would much rather stay at the Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency.
Location is fine, provided you use the metro station which is connected to the hotel. Room is big, clean and well decorated and the balcony is a big plus. The bed is wonderful. Fresh drinking water is provided in a daily basis. Staff is very helpful and polite.
The balcony is not well maintained and it has no roof, so when it rains - which is quite frequent - the whole place becomes really messy. The main downside is the sewage system. An awful smell comes from the bathtub, especially in early morning, which is unacceptable for a five star hotel.
Absolutely loved my stay here. It was a birthday trip. However the elevators were quite an exotic experience of being long haul in nature, we enjoyed the experience!
direct access to ART great pool lovely room great sunset views floor snacks and coffee facilities
bed a little too soft of I had to be picky noisy air con
Elegant design, good service
All good
The staff and services were excellent, helpful. The hotel's cleanliness is superb. Will definitely book again for our next trip.
Service is good, staff is polite and accomodating, room is nice. Everything inside the hotel is great. Until you get outside.
Location is bad. More appropriate to called Alila Brickfields, this hotel is not located in Bangsar. It's deceiving to guests. Hyatt hotels usually have very prime locations, either they are mostly surronded by high end shopping centers or Grade A commercial offices. Not for this particular hotel. I wouldn't use the term slum, .but if you are reading this, use Google live view to see the surroundings. You be the judge.

Nice and comfortable hotel, great breakfast, 6 stops away from Petronas towers. Location is near Little India. Safe area with walking distance to shopping center and spa.
All!
Nothing at all
The room were okay👌 The atmosphere is good Located in cool place actually it was fan to be into that area of bangsar very brilliant👍
Good ambient with real plants to potrait pleasant environment. Room cleaniness are excellent well maintained. Value for money. Very quite and safe place to spend time.
It was very clean
The area around the hotel wasn’t great
Room was very clean. Although bed could have been more comfortable (a mattress topper would have been good). Pillows were a little flat. Location is a little off (no food & shopping places within walking distance) but not a big deal as they are available within 5-10 mins car ride away. Enjoyed the hotel breakfast very much - dishes were well done, & mix of ala carte & self service was lovely. Would stay again.

AWESOMe. one of the best i'ved stayed in KL. View is wonderful with full height glass. room is clean with full amenities available.
So modern and clean and incredible service. Water pressure in the shower was amazing and so hot when you needed. Had the best stay no questions asked Loved the snacks provided in the floor of each
Everything was great
A truly stunning property start to finish. Can't recommend highly enough! (Please sort the elevator speeds from G to Lobby)

Overall, the stay was mostly as expected. However, I do feel that a few areas need improvement, especially regarding the parking and guest communication. Firstly, the parking direction/signage to go up may be problematic. During my first entry, there was someone blocking the arrow at the time, and I instinctively went up using the left side as it was closer to the car entry point. Unfortunately, this resulted in a minor accident. I believe the arrows and directional markings for the way up should be reviewed and made more visible, as they can be easily missed or obstructed, which may cause confusion for first-time guests. In addition, the parking fee was very expensive, and I was overcharged more than RM100 for less than 24 hours, even after adding an extension. I have yet to receive a refund from Alila, and the communication from the team regarding this matter has been lacking. It is also worth noting that the lift system can be quite complicated, as guests need to take multiple lifts to get around. This should be clearly stated in the hotel advertisement and booking information so guests are aware before arrival, as well as explained during check-in or through better signage. Aside from these issues, the rest of the stay was generally fine. However, I hope the hotel can improve its parking guidance, refund process, and guest communication moving forward.
Everything
Just the menu choices but its okay i’m not picky with food
Amazing room layout, design, and view. Excellent service by the hotel staff. Especially the staff serving during breakfast was amazing! I would highly recommend Alila to all. This was my third time choosing Alila and as expected, I was not disappointed. :)
Exceptional
Clean and meticulous
Rooms with Best City views. The best location (away from city traffic). Excellent rooms (pristine clean). Wonderful Botanica & co restaurant. Value for money. Wonderful housekeeping.
Extremely clean, extremely instagrammable. Located in a relatively upmarket area in KL that isn’t too far from the city centre. Lots of good food & beverage options nearby.
Best experience at Alila Bangsar. The room was so big. Really enjoyed the breakfast and we ordered all the on the made to order menu, and they did not disappoint. The staffs at the botanic co, starting from the front desk to the waiters at the table were really2 helpful and friendly, made us stayed that for almost 2 hours. Really enjoyed our short staycation.

Clean room, huge space. A great weekend getaway to relax.
The aircond is crazy cold. It’s chilly eventho we sleep without aircond at night.
I had an amazing stay at Alila. It was right by my office accessible through the link bridge so the location was highly convenient for me. The staff were friendly and very attentive and considerate towards my needs. the breakfast was my favourite part as the spread was good and the staff were nice and friendly early in the morning.
I had an amazing experience at the cocktail bar at level 41. Arul is a great Barmaid, good service and god talk. My new go to place in KL
Alila Bangsar is my go to KL stay. Its convenient in terms of location for transport and all of my activities. Parking is a breeze and the rooms are spacious and great. The staff are extremely responsive. Am a regular & love it there.
Nice property , clean good shuttle service
Gym could be more kitted out.
Everything about the hotel was amazing and perfect. The room was bright, clean, and had a really nice design and feel to it. My partner and I had an amazing and wonderful night at the hotel! Truly a 10/10 staycation and we would definitely come back again!

Beautiful super aesthetic hotel with a stunning pool and breathtaking views!
I didn’t quite like the soaps in the room as they were not tamper proof.
The place was fantastic My new favorite hotel in KL
The Internet connectivity and speed could have been better
The hotel stole my clothes and held them hostage demanding I pay 350/rmb

From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome made me feel right at home. The staff's genuine hospitality really stood out. And the view? Absolutely stunning — especially from the higher floors and the infinity pool. Watching the city lights at night was a highlight
Room is spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping staff helpful
Access via lift to 41 then change to another lift to room Room service menu limited Location is plus plus as across Light rail

My daughter and I had a pleasant stay at Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur. The staff were warm and hospitable, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The ambience of both the hotel room and lobby reflected a modern, contemporary design that was stylish yet comfortable. On top of that, the fantastic view added a special touch to the overall experience.
Fantastic room with balcony Friendly and helpful housekeeping staff Located near LRT - very convenient
In room service was quick but menu could be better
simple and proper
the lifts
First time staying at Alila Bangsar. Used public transportation (LRT) to get there and was confused with the entrance (had to go and take a lift to the ground floor and then take another lift to the 41st floor [Alila's lobby]). Honestly felt like I was in a maze going through that. Check-in was smooth and I was allowed to check-in around 1pm. Amenities were great, staff were friendly and helpful. Tried the breakfast room service and that was smooth as well. The only hiccup was that we experienced a short circuit when we moved the head of the reading light. Maintenance response was fairly quick and repaired it in less than 3 minutes. I would stay here again.
Loved everything about this hotel. Stunning and great service. Will definitely be coming back.
-Stylish & Instagram-worthy design -Modern, minimalist luxury (wood, marble, greenery) -Lobby on high floor gives a “wow” first impression -Spacious, comfortable rooms. Big rooms compared to many KL hotels -Clean, quiet, with strong water pressure (small detail but people love it) -Great sleep quality ratings (around 4.6/5)
Very smart hotel, well maintained and a great view of the city from the pool area
For a 5 star hotel we expected a bit more, such as help with our luggage when we arrived. Feels close to a luxury hotel but could do with a fine tuning. The food is also quite expensive.
Quiet and serene hotel
The room at 4018 (presumably below the restaurants) had noises of heavy chairs on the above floor being moved about) at night in between 10pm -10.45pm
Location, clean, and nice interior
NA
My stay at Alila was exceptional. During breakfast, Izatul always carries a warm, genuine smile that instantly makes you feel welcome. Jarrob, the F&B Manager, is incredibly attentive and ensures every dining experience is seamless and memorable, he goes extra miles providing bananas when I say I need it as take away. Atika treats guests like VIPs at the restaurant, adding a personal greeting touch that truly stands out. Nurqhazierah (Ira) goes above and beyond, even sharing the hotel’s official WhatsApp to coordinate my housekeeping request effortlessly, which made my stay so convenient. It’s the collective effort of this amazing team that creates a true home away from home. Not forgetting Mr Ihsan impressed me with his Lahore’s joke during checkout, so happy I genuinely look forward to returning, service excellence is consistent across interaction, and the staff’s sincerity leaves a lasting impression that keeps Alila’s quality.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, making our stay so smooth. Rooms were clean and comfy too. Highly recommend!" 😊.VJ and team were so friendly and the staff even packed us breakfast in the morning before after we checked out in the morning.
