Shower leaked as curtain was too short. Brown sludge in kettle asked for another. TV didn’t work. Room was dirty walls were brown. Worse was other guests were screaming and shouting at 2am. Even though room was cheap was very bad. We stayed here a few years ago when the manager/owner was different and it was a lovely staff but not anymore

It was full of bed bugs, the staff was unpleasant, loads of noise coming from other rooms, some crackheads we’re tryna get in our room, we didn’t feel safe cos staff weren’t about, we couldn’t use the kettle couldn’t cook food, black stuff coming out the tap so couldn’t use toothbrush or wash our face, mattress was full of wee, their was three covers over the mattress so the bedsheets didn’t get changed, their was a knife slit in the mattesses, dust all over the toilet roll so wasn’t useable

Sorry to say this as a great location, and fairly clean, but apart from being cheap, the other reviews about this hotel are true. Real shame as this place could be really good!

Place looks really tired and worn, so many maintenance issues that need addressing. But it was really cheap (as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for)

The only thing good about this awful place, is the location. This place is the dirtiest most disgusting place I've ever stayed in the UK. My room was literally falling apart and the sheer filth on the walls, the furniture, the floor and bathroom was truly terrible. The bed was so stained I didn't sleep in it, as the stains were so bad. I slept like a dog on top of the bed with one of my own towels over it to protect me from what ever was on in the covers. The bath was smashed and held together by duct tape, stains and residue left on the bath as not cleaned properly, all metal inside the bathroom like the rack they left a toilet roll on and a soap dispenser were all rusty and covered in grime, the walls were covered in marks and stains and had just been over painted repeatedly. The smells all around the place were awful, there was mould that was just covered up and bot treated. There were signs everywhere saying "no noise!" And "family run business, no noise" on every single door and wall around the place yet, "the family" made so much noise all the time. At least 3 rooms i passed absolutely reeked of drugs! And you could smell it in the always. Simply put, if you want the filthiest, bug ridden place to stay, where you won't get any peace or be able to relax and worry about leaving your things in the room when you're out because, the locks are so poor......... Then this place is for you! This awful crap hole needs to have an inspection because, it would fail and be closed until sorted. It says online that the "new family" bought the place in 2024 and has huge renovations to improve it since.......... where!!? It is appalling!! If it's current condition is after massive renovations, I would.have hated to see it before.

This hotel was lovely. We stayed in room 20. The beds were super comfortable and the room was spacious.

The only down side is that it is a bit far out up the top of the prom, so if you don't drive you'll need to take a tram.

Cobwebs on the celling, toilet was clean but had mold around the shower the floorboards creaking, lack of plug sockets, the walls could with a coat of paint and new carpet in the hallway. I only saw the staff once on Friday Afternoon.

The room itself was fairly nice, and it was overall fairly reasonable value for money, with an en-suite shower room, a single bed, two bedside cabinets, TV, and also tea, and coffee making facilities as well.

The location of the room was at the top of a flight of stairs, and just outside an entrance door to other rooms, so it was fairly noisy with other people coming and going regularly, at all hours of the day and night. It's also not really the hotel's fault, but the guests in a neighbouring room, seemed to be part of a group who were in a number of rooms, so there was a lot of movement between their various rooms, sometimes throughout the night, until the early morning, and also some noise from them as well.

That we left a day earlier than planned due to the absolute disgusting room and staff. They can barely understand English which made it very hard to put our issues across to them with a good outcome. DONT STAY HERE (unless you don't mind a hostel at hotel prices) Paid our deposit on booking.com but still bad to pay an extra £20 on arrival and another £10 incase we made a stain on the sheets! Although given the state of the room is this £30 classed as a donation!? 0 out of 10!!!

The price of my stay represented very good value for money. The hotel is in the North Shore, so it's still close to the main attractions, but far enough away from the town centre, to make it fairly quiet as well. The hotel is also on the Promenade, and very close to the beach as well. The room itself was very well set up, it had a very comfortable bed, an en-suite shower room, a TV, a bedside cabinet, a chair, and a very handy shelf, which contained the tea making facilities as well.

There was some noise from other rooms, but it wasn't very loud really, and it only happened now and again during my stay anyway.

Bedding had a mark on the bed. Bedside drawers were broken Damp on walls. Light in bathroom above mirror falling off. Electric heater no radiator. Was absolutely horrendous. Went in, went to room, then had to leave and arrange somewhere else to stay. The women on the desk was rather cockey and said why has it taken you this long to decide to leave, well that's because we had to find somewhere else to stay. Honestly the little standard rooms are horrendous can't speak for other rooms. I can't express how angry I were at the state of this hotel. Even for a cheapish price it was horrendous like they hadn't done any work on the rooms just change the sheets apart from this time as had park hadn't even slept there. Was there an hour ish tops.

Upon arrival we were checked in promptly, and headed to our room. What a disappointment. Immediately notified the broken window in the room which meant the temperature was freezing. There was a dirty spoon for the drinks facilities that I had to get swapped (with no apology given). The room has suffered from damp issues and seems like it had been painted over and not treated properly. Within ten minutes of being in the room, I was calling other places to stay as this was very poor. After securing alternative accommodation, we left and told the reception that we weee checking out, and not one eye was batted. If you want a cold and miserable hotel, this is up there in the top ten. Avoid.

First night (26th July 2025) myself and my boyfriend were woken up at 5am to a couple arguing. Not only arguing but screaming at each other. It went on for hours and hours. The walls are very thin. 27th July 2025 we got back to the hotel and clearly heard someone having sex. 28th July 2025 we woke up to someone clearly being sick from the night before. That's not what you want to hear when you are leaving for breakfast. It's not the hotel or owners fault but all in all we didn't have very good mornings.

Location was good, staff were nice and locals staying in the place long term were lovely. Ended up having a beer with them.

The room was almost unbearable, the pillows smelled like sweat so I ended up just lying on top of the bed with my clothes on and using towels as pillows, i just needed a bed for the night so it was very cheap and u get what u pay for, totally understand that, but at the very very least you expect it to be clean with clean bedding. Think it was more a homeless unit rather than a hotel. Also advertised as a sea view but u can't get to window to see the sea view. Windows were damaged with a bad draught coming in

Location was fine. Easy to jump on tram from nearby tram stop and get to central and attraction areas

Locks on doors didn't work properly, handles were loose. Damp issues on ceilings and walls. Water issues in bathroom, no cold water in sink, hot scalding water running from both taps. Shower didn't work properly and bath side panel was broken and hanging off. Floor hadn't been hoovered, litter down the sides and backs of beds. No towels provided, had to ask. Dodgy electrics, sockets flashed when putting chargers or hairdryer etc into. Very noisy both nights so sleep was disturbed. General decor throughout hotel is old, dirty and smells.

upon arrival was stormy weather. Had to call number to check in and was waiting outside for ages for them to answer. As soon as walking in there was an awful smell. We was on the third floor. Once we got to our room we couldn’t open the door without extreme force due to the windows being open in the room and the wind pushing on the door. Once we got into the room. We tried to shut the window where we realised there was no handle on the window it was on the window ledge so we couldn’t shut our window properly window was above bed so would of been extremely drafty. Bed sheets were dirty foot prints on them. This is about how far I got before going downstairs to check out and check into another hotel Awful experience never have I ever left a hotel to go to another but we could not stay in this one. Staff told me to contact them 2 days later for refund contacted them they then told me I had to go through booking.com awaiting a response. Pictures of the room are not realistic at all. Avoid where possible
