the location of the hotel and the view from our room
The room was so dated and not clean! The bedcovers had yellow stains on the outside of the cover so clearly visible to housekeeping, the bed was not up against the wall when we arrived and behind it was full of thick dust and cobwebs. The bathroom had lots of yellow staining on the ceiling. There were no lamps on the beside lockers as there were no plugs near the bed. Overall the room was pretty grim! Ironically housekeeping came knocking at 8:50am with such aggression it made us both jump. Thankfully we were up and packed and ready to get the hell out of there!!!
Close to town and pier
Noise at night having been woke up twice Also weren't allowed to book for breakfast as a paying guest
The breakfast was very nice the was every thing you could want for breakfast, the staff very helpfull and friendly
The needed to be a member of staff as you went in for breakfast at the table all the time when you gave your room number for where you would sit when its really busy every one just walks in and sits anywhere
Didn’t not have breakfast at the hotel.
Cleanliness of the changing rooms for the pool. Also no private changing area.
It had a lovely view of the Sea
No internet at all and staff were not at all interested to try and resolve this.
The location was good, the staff were friendly. The entertainment was good .
On arrival we were allocated our room which was not up to standard! The curtains were ripped there was hand marks on the windows, the bedding had a stain on it and the shower glass door was dirty . When I complained the reception gave us another room which was better. The breakfast was not very good, the cereal was just in big bowls on the side uncovered where anyone could sneeze or cough over them the same goes for the hot food that was uncovered and on one morning a elderly lady put her finger in the beans to see if they were hot which wasn’t very nice to see.
Excellent
Pool ideal for children. Location to beach and town. Service by staff.
Showers/bath facilities not great. Breakfast time short 8-9.30 Parking during the day difficult to find had to park in local shopping centre while on street parking cleared up.
Fantastic location right on coast. Easy walk to pier and town. They had entertainment at night which was fun. It's a bit older hotel but was great atmosphere and was like going back in time. Breakfast was great too
Nothing
Location was fabulous we have a great room facing the beach we were lucky with the weather too.The breakfast was wonderful plenty of chioce and very fresh . .great service too .. I loved the fact we had the same tae for the duration of our stay
Not sure there was anything
Friendly staff, lifts good, pool lovely
Shower needs a good Deep Clean, lots of black mould around bottom of it. Nowhere to put toiletries in shower. Also sink in bedroom not in bathroom due to space. No one on the bar in day time, had to go to reception to ask them for a drink, realise you cant have someone standing there all day waiting for customers, but the bell they had on the bar didnt work to summon staff
The pool and the entertainment, breakfast great,
All good
A little disappointed in all honesty. The pictures were so beautiful but when we showed up to the hotel, it was pretty run down and a bit shabby. The room was nice enough but small things like dusty surfaces and mould in the shower let it down. The staff were lovely so it's a shame that I cannot say my stay was good value for money.
Breakfast was ok, the bar was pleasant. Our rooms were ok, but not as big as they looked in pictures.
The en-suite was cramped and the bath tap didn't work properly. The hot water was so hot it burned you, yet you couldn't turn the tap off quickly it was so tight. The shower was poor, very little pressure.

The food was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The views were outstanding. The pool was beautiful. Overall absolutely fantastic and would highly recommend
If I had to say any negative it would be that the night entertainment is a little outdated. I understand wanting to please all but maybe it could have been switched up a little bit each night.
Swimming pool for. Grandchild
A expensive hotel for the quality price didn't include breakfast very disappointing
Excellent breakfast. Very good choice. Well cooked.
Except for one, it would have been nice to see the young female waiting staff, smile. They did not look very happy.
Entertainment excellent
I phoned for rooms together and was told that was possible but we were put on different floors.
Pool facilities, lift, space in rooms.
Moved the bed to situate the cot, but was filthy underneath. Other than that cannot fault the property
The bed was amazing
The bathroom had no extractor fan etc, recommendations out a small fridge in the family room
Breakfast was good
Lovely Victorian building with beautiful wide windows.
Slightly squeaky floor boards ( understandable as historic building)
good location
too small lift and bedroom door, my wheelchair didn’t fit in
Property in a great location, central to most amenities. Breakfast excellent, good choice, all staff were very accommodating
Location, comfortable, good amenities
The shower in our room was very slow & kept going on & off we were on the top floor
Really enjoyed it , nice clean hotel with a good entertainment 👌 pool is warm , changing room and showers are clean ,highly recommend 👌
Great location. Good breakfast.
Very scruffy bedroom, inadequate water provision with no water for 3 hrs one day and no explanation. Fire alarm at midnight with total chaos of the residents and no explanation. Smelly bathroom resulting to lack of bleach for years...had to buy bleach to put down sink and bath plugs. Shower very dangerous going fro. Scalding hot to freezing cold automatically. Boiling hot atic room with no fan. Very surly reception staff. This is a hotel mainly of coachtrippers and deserves to close. Pretty dreadful.
Absolutely what it says on the tin… room Was clean and had a nice new bathroom in it. Swimming pool was decent & Breakfast was nice. All staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, location was excellent & the price was an absolute bargain for what it was. Yes… parts of the hotel are a little dated but not dirty and not falling apart. Overall we were very happy, had a nice stay, would stay there again and would recommend to others.
Meals were good
Door, No cold water, shower was scolding hot, sliding door not good
Breakfast was excellent. All really nicely cooked and the staff were lovely.
Breakfast was good and staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The entertainment at night was an unexpected bonus. Our room was smaller than expected and the bed smaller, but the room was clean and the bathroom tidy. However the hot and cold water seemed a bit of a lottery, either the hot water didnt come on no matter what tap you used or else you were unexpectedly scalded in the shower
There was a fire alarm on the wednesday night at about 11.40pm. It resulted in considerable confusion, those staff present seemed out of their depth and consequently one particular guest became quite vocal in her criticism which - whilst valid - didn't help the situation. It was obvious that more detailed fire safety training is needed and guests should perhaps be prompted to read the information on the back of their room door.
Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean room and a good location
Swimming pool and the Breakfast
Cheap tomato ketchup, no shower
Location was superb
Location
Not a lot , just a shower bit dated but it worked
Swimming bath 8.00am. Entertainment each night Frontage of hotel with lamps Nice breakfast
For the price we paid, the experience was well worth it. You get a comfortable room, great amenities, and a prime location right on the promenade without breaking the bank.We had a wonderful, stress-free family holiday and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone travelling with young children! The absolute highlight for us was the indoor pool setup. Having a separate toddler pool on-site was fantastic,
We have just returned from holiday and stayed with my family in this hotel for 4 nights. We had a family room (210) which was big enough for my family(3 adults and 1 child) , the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was also a good size. The room was very clean, well-kept and with a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was buffet style, so everyone ate what they liked and left full. There are 2 pools, one for the youngest and the second pool with 2 depths from 1 meter to 2 meters. The hotel staff was very helpful and kind at all times. There was no problem/question that the staff didn't know the answer to and didn't provide any advice. We thank you very much for the warm welcome you gave our family and we recommend the Chatsworth House Hotel wholeheartedly.
Reception staff has got an attitude. Fire alarm at midnight was chaos and no announcements very scary. Top floor room basic, very hot room,no fans, shower dangerous -either scalding after 20 minutes wait for warm water or freezing. No advice given on breakfast times etc. Sofa filthy. Breakfast good.,although cereals gathering dust in the corridors! This hotel will be permanently closed in the not so distant future. We advise to avoid.
In a competitive world this is not a good hotel. The location is excellent but standards do not reflect the price. The buffet breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff friendly. I wish l could say the same for the reception staff.....very surly, unhelpful and with an attitude. The bedroom on the top floor was baking hot with no fan provided. The bathroom was below standard with a shower completely unusable and unsafe with the water automatically changing in an instant from freezing cold to scalding. Very poor indeed. I might ask whether the manager ever sleeps in these rooms and experiences the facilities.....very unlikely indeed. We had to purchase bleach to put down the washbasin and bath plugs since the stench throughout the bathroom and bedroom was nauseous. Looking at a majority of reviews of this establishment it is abundantly clear that the hotel needs serious renovations. Doesn't the owner ever look at reviews and act upon some of these shameful and unacceptable conditions. We wouldn't recommend staying here and will certainly never darken the doors again. Why on earth do coach companies offer holidays here? The link between them and the hotel needs to be severed .
The pictures on the website don't show some of the rooms we were allocated.*1st room (attic room with a window approx 2ft x 1ft which could only open about an inch not good when temperature was 25degrees +. Went to reception who came to look then sent the maintenance man who said hinges were broken. TV also not working. This was room 458. We were then off another room 315 which was bigger and windows that opened and a tv that worked. *Bathroom had a shower attachment on the taps which could not be regulated. The temperature was extremely hot and came out in a trickle, both taps could not be put on together. It took over 20 minutes to get 6 inches of water. *Breakfast was an absolute shambles, it reminded me of a school canteen,2 sittings attended 30 minutes apart. Queues out of the door stretching back to reception. Food not replenished quick enough, having to ask for toast and tea/ coffee and tables tightly packed together. One of our party stayed 1 night and arranged transport to go home saying it was dirty and disgusting. It seems the hotel just want to pack them in and take your money. Your old and you won't complain ( next) If Alex polizzi was to visit she would have a field day. The hotel was completely full having with about 5 coach parties there
Location was excellent, right on the prom and near everything.
Very small bath, sink basin was in the bedroom.
Excellent Location
I booked a family room, and the sink was outside the bathroom.
Excellent service. We were only there for 1 night, but we thought it was comfortable & the staff were friendly & service was good. Our room was clean 156. Although we were at the side of the building, it was nice to be able to see the sea & the Orm.
We thought our room was a little dated. It could do with a refurbishment. The bath was a little high for when you have a disabilty? It was not a big negative, but the TV was a little small.
Enjoyed our stay in this hotel this was our 2nd visit this year the staff cannot do enough for you.Very friendly and helpful.
Water pressure and water temperature wasn't too good in our room this time on the 3rd floor. They did their best to improve the situation and offered us another room to use. Apart from this it was all good.
Very pleasant staff, extra towels in room
Found it hard at times using card for door to enter room, main bedroom light didn't work
The guy in the bar was very friendly, bed was okay
Water barely ran, radiators didn’t turn on, mould/ stains on ceiling and around the walls, bathroom very cramped did not lock and sink was clogged with hair, no microwave or fridge - staff did not help with food requests, very old, floor was not so comfy, tv was old in our room and small although the room was for 3.
The location is perfect with being on the sea front and close to everything. The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble with personal service in the restaurant. The room had everything you needed and very comfy bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc and biscuits. I had a single room which was quite spacious and nicely decorated, there was a sink in the bedroom which was understandable considering the size of bathroom. All in all it was very clean and comfortable, I would stay again.
There was nothing to dislike, My room was on the first floor over the back of the hotel and I think over the entertainment room so was loud when the artist was on but was all finished by 10.30pm. Some of the furniture could perhaps do with updating but all is functional.
Everything was excellent, will definitely return next holiday to stay at this hotel
Everything was excellent 👍
Location, clean and comfortable room
Location
Swimming pool was shut I payed for that hotel for that reason alone Full of rude people
We went to the hotel with a coach company. On arrival we were given a twin room on 4th floor which had a bath. No shower attachment just a bath . This meant my elderly mum who has mobility problems would not be able to shampoo her hair or have a wash. I would not be able to clean my hair unless I went out and bought a jug. I went and asked at reception if it was possible to swap rooms , even one with a bath and shower attachment as I could maybe support her to get in and out of bath standing but no way could she sit down in a bath and get back up . I was told as a number of coach parties were due no rooms were available. In addition there is a sign on lifts saying you can’t take walkers or wheelchairs upstairs due to fire regulations as lift would be inoperable . These were to be left unattended where anyone could help themselves in a side area . Whilst I understand lift would be inoperable people still need to transfer from a lift to their rooms and if require a wheelchair/ walker then how are they to get to their rooms? Breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from. Evening meal was to be chosen in the morning. Food poor quality and often did not match description chicken Caesar salad only resembled for a few pieces of chicken with Caesar dressing on but not correct salad ingredients for salad just a mix of peppers and tomatoes with a token rocket leaf . Vegetarian option was listed exactly as that no idea what actually getting .
The room with a sea and pier view through two large bay windows.
The drains in the bathroom where really smelly.
Fantastic place, lovely meals great pool clean rooms
Bigger cups for coffee at breakfast would of been ideal but not a negative
Bath to small and sink out of bathroom
Room not comfortable
Location
Shower no power, beds uncomfortable , pool not in use.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room with great views over the bay. Slept well and very pleased with experience.

The food, location, its was lovely 😍
I didn't like the No entertainment on the Sunday, bingo & a Quiz, I don't think so, we had to go & spend our ££ in a other Hotel , the line up was for 7nites of somthink, but not on Sunday? False advertising
Hotel location is right on Promenade, 5 mins walk to reach Llandudno Pier.
Parking will be a big challenge as there won't be any spaces on Promenade. I have to park literally at end of road & walk back 10mins to Hotel. Not all rooms are with Beach view, so have to select specifically. Indoor Pool is closed.
Stay really nice staff to thank you
Only pool out of order otherwise lovely stay
The location was great and it’s good value for money. The bingo was fun too.
I have stayed before in the winter and really liked the entertainment so it was a bit disappointing to bring my mum along this time and find that there was none after the bingo ended that night. Also i had hoped the pool would be open at 8am and not 9am.
Great location right at the promenade and a short walk away from the pier
Breakfast was poor, beds were uncomfortable. The property is showing its age and needs modernisation.
Really nice staff were very helpful
Nothing everthing was good
Pool
Dirty room, bathroom. Difficult to control temperature for the shower.. some off the staff not polite.

Not clean, rooms need refurbishing and cleanliness, the furniture is very old and obsolete . Pls don’t waste your money
Location and staff

The Bar and bar facilities were adequate, but a little over priced.
Very poor disabled access to the rooms. Even though there was a lift, once up onto the floor, it was a small maze of corridors that we found extremely hard to navigate a wheelchair through. Taking into account that I let the hotel know of this, we were placed in two rooms on the first floor, which made getting the elderly disabled gentleman to bed each night very difficult.
Friendly staff nice room

We picked Chatsworth house hotel because we’re from Derbyshire and regularly visit Chatsworth House. Unfortunately the shared name is where the similarities end. On arrival we were faced by three people behind the reception desk, not a smile of greeting from a single one of them. We’d rang to ask if we could pay for breakfast on arrival, the young lady said she’d have to check with the chef ! The hotel itself was dated and could do with a good makeover. Our room was not the worst , quite tidy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom however, was diabolical. The water temperature was either cold or scalding hot, to the point of dangerous. Why not go down and tell reception you say, because I’ve paid good money for a break away not to do a maintenance check. We had a drink in the bar, if you don’t know what constitutes a dry white wine then perhaps try a different job. The breakfast. The breakfast room is huge with not a single picture straight on any wall. Even though the room was huge we were sat right next to another couple. Turns out they were enjoying it as much as us ! The food served at breakfast was truly awful, poor quality, sat under heat lamps, perhaps the ‘chef’ was having a bad time. A young lady came charging across the room demanding to know our room number, she said she had to check we were sitting in the right place, I feel she was actually checking we’d paid for breakfast. Believe me dear we wouldn’t be stealing it. Our departure was as friendless as our arrival, no have a safe journey or even a wave. To summarise the whole thing was unfortunately awful, and I’m sorry to have to leave a bad review. However, times are difficult for most people nowadays and a hotel break is a treat, if you’re taking the money at least have the decency to put a little effort in.
Sea view and nice modern room Breakfast lovely
Small bathroom and bed
Near shops beach across road
Easy booking, very friendly staff, value gor money nice breakfast
There was nothing not to like a suggestion of maybe mugs at breakfast for a larger drink
We stayed in a room facing the sea, and it was close to everything – places to eat, to visit, and to have fun.
In the previous room we were in, someone was smoking weed inside the hotel, and the room had a very strong smell, but they changed our room and everything was fine.
Location. Swimming pool.
Seaside location, in the centre.
The shower didnt work in our room. We got an other room next evening - the shower worked there, but the bathroom was so small the tap was in the room - outside the bathroom. The wifi didnt work. The hotel has no parking place - it was vertmy difficult to park
The breakfast was absolutely fine stopped in room 218 The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. Wardrobe doors were difficult to open as dragged on carpet couldn’t use them anyway as full of dust. Light bulbs had gone in two out of the three wall lights .No fan in bathroom and was expecting proper shower .Overall location great.Breakfast good .Room left a lot to be desired.
Cleanliness and fittings in room
Nice hot breakfast, location great, room with a sea view
Wi-fi connection
Comfy room, spacious bed good , Swimmingpool , Lofts, receptionist friendly, could open the windows, all good 😊

staff were pleasant. Entertainment OK
The size of the bed, the size of the room, the fact that the wash hand basin was actually in the room. The shower was falling off the wall and the shower room (if you can call it that) was a corner cut off the room itself. Suffice to say, this was the worst room I have ever stayed in and I am 82 years old.
The location of the hotel was excellent - right in the sea front. The staff were very good and helpful. The facilities in the room were excellent. I have never been in a hotel room with so many drawers!!!
I was really ill on the first night of our stay, a problem that continued for most of the following day. At lunchtime, I was unable to flush the toilet (😖), then discovered that there was no water at all. When my partner checked with reception he was informed “won’t be long. We’re just filling g the swimming pool”. He thought this was strange as he’d been in the pool about an hour previously !!! On the second morning we went down to breakfast at 9 o’clock knowing it was served from 8.00-9.30. There were no eggs ( no boiled, fried or scrambled ) and when Dave asked he was told “well I’ll see what I can do but we stop serving at 9.30”. The orange juice was served from an urn. to get a full glass I had to tip the urn forward to get the last of it. The coffee was 2 coffee pots on a filter machine which were both cold. I know this hotel is used by Caledonian Holidays do the staff may just be used to a more regimented schedule but the is no excuse for not having provision for breakfast. There were at least 3 couple who came in for breakfast after us and all complained about the lack of food. Ironically, as we left at 9.25 they were filling up the hash browns tray!
location was good. Bed was comfy.
First room was small and not a double as most hotels class it. Shower had no water pressure and trickled out. breakfast was diabolicle! no clean tables, no coffee and no orange! Staff wouldn’t clean me a table and wanted me to sit with strangers! Not good. Hotel refunded breakfast which was appreciated.
Location was perfect , clean and comfortable, swimming pool was great to
No soap ! coffee or milk in the room
