Hosts were very rude and arrogant.

De ligging vh huis

Huis is niet ideaal om in de wintermaanden te huren. Je krijgt het bijna niet warm gestookt. Matrassen vd bedden hebben hun beste tijd ook gehad.

De uitzicht vanuit het huis en de BBQ-plaats over de Drakenberg is fantastisch. De boomhut is uniek en we voelden ons meteen thuis. De hosts zijn superaardig en helpen met alles. Het was een fantastische ervaring en we komen graag nog een keer!

Eigenlijk niks... Het was juli, winter dus, en we wisten al dat het zwembad waarschijnlijk niet open was. Maar de host heeft alsnog ervoor gezorgd dat we even konden zwemmen voordat hij het water eruit liet.

We loved the privacy and spaciousness, not to mention the view. It is difficult to capture the vastness and beauty of the area in a photograph. In addition there were so many little gems to visit in the surrounding area.

Chris was a really lovely host. We arrived late and in the dark, and he very kindly drove 20 minutes to a more obvious meeting point and guided us in. Above and beyond. He also gave us some great onward tips, and continues to over message! A lovely man The property is very cosy, and great value for money. It sits on the edge of a gorgeous lake, which has a deck that looks over the setting sun. Very peaceful, and exactly what we needed

We had an exceptional stay. Chris and Magda were warm, gracious, and genuinely thoughtful in every detail. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and well looked after. The setting is serene and peaceful, with stunning views of the mountains and the lake right from the property. It was so calm and beautiful that we often had to push ourselves to leave and explore the area because it was so tempting to simply stay and enjoy the surroundings. The accommodation itself is beautifully kept, with impeccable housekeeping and a level of care in how everything is thoughtfully appointed that immediately stands out. Chris and Magda truly have hosting down to an art form. This is easily the best place we’ve stayed in South Africa and one of the best anywhere in our travels around the world. Het verblijf in deze boomhut was fantastisch. Een geweldig mooi uitzicht en een heel sfeervolle accomodatie, van alle gemakken voorzien. Absoluut een aanrader!

Exceptional view and location. The lookout over the dam with the mountains in the backdrop was a splendid sight. Everything we needed was provided for. We love the treehouse and the fire place. It was rather cosy, quiet and peaceful. Thank you Magda and Chris.We really enjoyed the short time we spent at your place. And thank you for going out of your way to accomodate our last minute request.

There was nothing we could really complain about. Just wish I caught some fish. Lol!

The property is a unique tree house cabin with spectacular views of the Champagne Valley and Cathkin Park area

There was nothing I didn’t like

The location is like no other, looks like a painting in real life. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The apartment was very unique, we very much enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay more than one night here.

Other than a good frying pan there is nothing we could think of :)

Very peaceful. Stunning scenery. Lovely treehouse. Very well equipped. Even better if a kettle/hospitality tray in downstairs bedroom so very early risers don’t disturb those sleeping upstairs by going up to make a brew. Some noise from pump/geyser (?) overnight but otherwise wonderful. Very comfortable. Thank you.

There was a misunderstanding about payment but it was resolved

1- I like the location because it’s quiet , and far somehow from the city , and this is what I want. 2- I like Me. Chris and his wife , both of them really nice. 3- the home by itself and BBQ area very nice

Because the second floor made from wood , so any steps. movements up , clear you will hear it , somehow it’s noise for the guys down , but it’s not a big deal , this is just when someone walking , it was fine with me because I was with my children

Honestly this place stood out compared to all the really nice places we stayed this vacation. The view is beautiful and the house is so neatly made and well taken care of. We booked this place about 11 months in advance and really glad we did. From the warm and personal welcome from the owner to everything this place has to offer would highly recommend going here 😃

Absolutely nothing, this place in unique and beautiful

The daily cleaning of the unit was much appreciated. Everything was perfect, clean and comfortable. We had car battery trouble and gratefully our host Chris, was more than willing to assist. The overall service and friendliness was exceptional.

Spacious, has everything you need for a short stay. Had a TV with DSTV. Accomodation was cleaned daily.

Upstairs room has a noisy floor that creaked when you walked.

The fact that we eventually had to leave this wonderful place

We arrived to the friendliest welcome. We had everything explained to us regarding the property, as well as, where to go during our days; sites, activities, food etc. But it was when we got to the house we were staying in that our jaws, quite literally, dropped. The house was almost fairytale like, set into a view that would take pages to describe. It was nothing short of mind alteringly beautiful. If you are looking for a location that takes your breath away every time you look outside, this is the place.

Beautiful greenery, views forever, amazing architecture of the cabin, feels like you are sleeping and showering in the trees, well equipped, and the swimming pool was also a treat

Honestly the best place we’ve ever stayed during our travels. The tree house is so beautiful and it is really complete, it felt like home immediately! Views are amazing and Chris and Magda are the kindest hosts you could wish for :) We would love to come back some day.

Chris was an exceptional host. The cottage and wooden house were very comfy. The place is well equipped, and the views are outstanding.

The owners were very kind, forthcoming and provided us all the infos we were looking for to explore the area. The house gives a cosy vibe as if you were at your parents place. From the garden, there is a very lovely sunset view over the lake and onto the Drakensberge. The Location is perfect to start your hiking tours and explore the surroundings. There is a dog that is about to improve the experience of your stay tremendously. The natural design of the outdoor pool and the surrounding bushes provide a feeling of privacy.

Чудесное место с великолепным видом. Изумительный деревянный дом, выстроенный вокруг трех огромных сосен. Прекрасный хозяин - у нас спустило колесо, так он дал нам с собой в дорогу специальный баллончик со средством для ремонта колеса, и он нам таки пригодился.

Amazing view and location.

Facilities have had their best time, although everything is still working ok.

Great location and fantastic views. The pool was lovely and the unit was very clean and well maintained. Lovely shower, beds were comfortable. We appreciated the lengths taken to make each unit private and homely. Also one of the few places we've stayed with undercover parking for the car which was appreciated especially as our car leaks! A good reminder that professional establishments with star ratings are the way to go if you want consistency and comfort.

The location was very nice and the view was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped but the stove was very old and not in keeping with the rest of the kitchen

the en suite bathroom was very shabby and could do with a renovation. The shower over the bath was very weak. The bedroom upstairs was very dusty as were the cupboards.

The personal touch of the suggestions for sightseeing and eating and what to do when the power went out were very helpful. They also went out of their way to ensure we were happy and to check if we needed anything else. They also went above and beyond and helped us get our car cleaned.

It's such a minor point and it was not a problem, but there was a small leak in the roof that happened just before we left when it had rained heavily. The owners were very happy we told them - they weould not be able to know otherwise! - and they were going to see to it straight away. Otherwise there is nothing we didn't like.

Roads to accommodation in an awful state.Made worse by the heavy downpours.A bridge was flooded-unable to drive out on the 1 day.Loadshedding schedule didn't make for an enjoyable stay.
