Overall amazing place to stay that is extremely walkable to all attractions in Florence. It was safe, in a good neighborhood, and relatively quiet. The bed was very firm, if you like a firm mattress you will love it here.

Great place to stay in Florence, across the river from the main part of the city, with more space. It felt like having your own palazzo! The staff were so lovely and friendly.

The location was great. Staff was helpful.

The airconditioning was broken from the start. Staff did feel guilty and offered a ventilator at the beginning of our stay. At the end of our stay, the airconditioning was unfortunately still broken. Repeated tries by the staff to fix it did not work. It’s a nice room; looks wise, but not the best quality overall. Just good.

Rooms are big in size with height ceilings.

Of the many times I’ve been to Florence, this was the second time I’ve stayed at the Palazzo D’Oltrarno. It’s absolutely wonderful. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, very quiet, the air conditioning works really well, and the people at the reception are always friendly and very helpful. It wasn’t my last time there.

Mi experiencia en este hotel fue muy negativa. La atención fue deficiente, ya que no había personal disponible para atender a los huéspedes. Al llegar, la habitación no contaba con papel higiénico ni con otros elementos básicos que normalmente se esperan en un hotel. Solicité estos artículos en varias ocasiones, pero me respondieron que no había nadie disponible en el establecimiento y nunca resolvieron el problema. Además, la habitación tenía un aspecto descuidado y poco agradable, hasta el punto de generar inseguridad. El baño era extremadamente pequeño y poco cómodo. El personal que me atendió tampoco fue amable ni mostró interés en solucionar los inconvenientes. En conclusión, no recomiendo este hotel debido a la falta de atención, las malas condiciones de la habitación y la ausencia de servicios básicos.

The daytime staff were always very nice and friendly. The room and apartment complex is historical and elegant. This applies to the structures like grand windows and doors. Another positive is the room is massive. In the heat, air conditioning and fan were appreciated and effective. Room was a mid day salvation from the heat (until problems listed below). Finally, proximity to town centre was a plus but not annoying close. Not too crowded by front door and good selection of bars, restaurants and shops in the area. Also appreciated the hotel gave good recommendations for food and other things too.

Headline here is on the final night we discovered our bed had bed bugs after several bites. We assumed mosquitos at first as the apartment is not too far from the river but upon a very thorough inspection of the mattress we did discover bed bug fecal matter and bed bug skin shed at the head of the mattress, likely also in the headboard. That being said, I had already wanted to highlight a few items that were lacking in the hotel even before discovering bed bugs on our first night. First item, the 8am to 7pm front desk. For a hotel fraught with issues in a busy city where you're out most of the day or could land late is not great. The hotel does provide a number you can call during out of hours but as I explain below this was not super useful. Unfortunately some other smaller issues were a blocked sink and dirty floors. I spilled my water bottle and upon mopping with a tissue discovered dirty floors by the bed as the tissue came up black. Also in the bathroom, the underside of the bath mat was stained black and brown from touching the bathroom floor. The amenities provided were lacking. Free toiletries and toilet paper are listed on booking.com as amenities provided in the room. We were provided three thin toilet rolls for our four night stay between two of us. This was not topped up when housekeeping came to make our bed or provide us with new towels and reception was closed when we needed more. We tried calling the number for out of hours reception but they explained they would help us at 8am. We also tried looking for anything around the reception area but no luck. Finally I will finish with some minor issues that could help improve the experience for customers but are not as essential as the first points: - Majority of sockets do not fit travel adaptors well. Including bedside socket. - Shower head is overhead only, no hand held option so if that is an issue for your hair for example not ideal for you. -TV had no smart function such as Netflix or...

A localização do hotel é excelente, extremamente perto de tudo em Florença. Fizemos praticamente todos os passeios andando todos os dias, incluindo Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Palazzo Uffizi e vários outros pontos turísticos. Também há cafeterias, restaurantes e mercados próximos, o que facilita muito a estadia. O quarto era gigante, a cama muito confortável e o banheiro excelente. O hotel é muito bom, principalmente considerando o preço e a localização. Recomendo bastante para quem quer conhecer Florença a pé e ficar bem localizado.

Não teve nada em específico que tenha sido ruim. A estadia foi excelente e o hotel atendeu muito bem ao que esperávamos. O único ponto que poderia melhorar seria oferecer café da manhã, o que deixaria a experiência ainda mais completa.

Excellent location and a spacious room. We booked the ‘Economy’ room and it was definitely good value for money. Staff are kind and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. We would happily stay here again.

Worth noting the Economy room is on the darker side, without much natural light. The door has an old-fashioned key that takes a little effort to open. A couple of small things too — the soaps weren’t refilled and it was dusty under the bed.

The box in the bathroom tho would leak and the don't replace amenities, so you need to buy you one things, also didn't seem like cleaners clean the bathroom

The property was beautiful, full of charm and character, and perfectly located for exploring Florence on foot. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with stunning historic details that made the stay feel very special. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was elegant and welcoming.

The bed mattress was a bit too hard for me, but nothing that I didn’t get used to it, also could’ve used an iron, but it was all amazing and didn’t bother me much

Do not be fooled by the photographs. No one in the building has access to the garden included in the images - which was part of the reason we booked. The images also make the rooms look a bit more recently decorated than they wore.

The location was perfect. Not too busy, but near music and great restaurants. Within walking distance of the center.

Excellent location, with large cool rooms; ideal in the height of summer. Good shower. Internal rooms quiet, though some noise from the internal gates when guests were coming in or going out.

The building itself was a historic gem and Gulia was a delight at the front desk. She was extremely helpful with suggestions and was very accommodating with our early arrival. The architecture and interior detailing was stunning... historic coffered ceilings, painted frescos, mosaic flooring and antique furniture accents. We also appreciated the interior French glass doors that faced the street; they dampened the sound from the nightlife and provided quiet, restful evenings.

I was a bit disappointed that there was some deferred maintenance in the room. There were tattered and torn curtains surrounding the french glass doors, mildew on the exterior wall of the bathroom and several bulbs out in the bathroom. The wall above our bed even had several pieces of random scotch tape. The room was otherwise clean but needed a handyman to fix these maintenance issues. If these items were fixed, I would certainly book here again in the next year or two when we return to Italy.

Apparently, we got the "economy" room which was very beige. Could have used a pop of color and picture on a wall, lol. Not a big problem. We were on the "half" floor so the elevator didn't go to our floor and had to carry our luggage but only a half floor.

Großartig gelegen- alles zu Fuß erreichbar, was man bei einem Besuch der Stadt besichtigen möchte. Man ist aber aus dem ganz großen Trubel raus. Die Lokale in der Nähe sind prima.

Awesome central location and super quiet despite it. The room was large and the staff very helpful. Make sure to ask the staff in advance about organizing parking for you, as the hotel is in the ZTL (where you can't drive without permits organized by garages and will be heavily fined if you do). They sent me a message about it but I had missed it, but they helped organize on location.

Not your average hotel. It was room only in a tastefully decorated old Italian Palazzo. A historic place of character. No need for breakfast as there were plenty of choices for this nearby. Location a little away from the tourist crowds but still very convenient to all Florence's attractions.

Room was very basic and not like pictures shown online. Lack of basic necessities like toilet paper. We had to ask several days.

The location was excellent, a 15min walk from the train station and about 500m from the Ponte Vecchio, it's walking distance to everything. The room was excellent, very spacious, a large comfortable bed, great garden views form the oversized window. Frescos on the ceiling add a nice added touch in the city of art and culture.

Fue una grandísima decepción, la habitación era pobre, deteriorada y vieja, una cosa es antigua y otra es mal conservada, una lámpara rota, la cortina no funcionaba, la contraventana imposible cerrar, mampara oxidada, paredes sucias y dudosa limpieza del baño.

after doing some extensive research on where to stay, i happened upon the Palazzo D'Oltrano & after reading many of the reviews, i conquer that this hotel is a perfect stay. Myself & my partner (whom we were there celebrating her 40th) could not fault it. The location is excellent, only a brief 10min stroll into the city centre over one of the 2 bridges close to the apartments, the rooms were a treat for the eyes with such grandeur & renaissance feel, the staff were friendly & helpful as if staying with a friend & the area itself was perfect, not only distance to the city centre, but for places to eat & drink. You will struggle more choosing where to go rather than finding where to go. The staff were even kind enough to surprise us with a bottle of wine in honour of my gf's 40th.

just because i don't think anything is perfect, my only critic would be that i found the pillows a little bit firm for MY liking. But what i find firm, other may say is pefect.

The room was not very comfortable. Some of the plug sockets didn’t work. The shower head sprayed in all directions with flimsy door panels. The toilet seat wasn’t fully attached so moved when you sat on it. The bed was uncomfortable.

In a good location, staff were very helpful quick to give advice on where to eat, things to do.

Booked it because I was drawn by the frescoes in the picture, but I didn’t see one fresco. Our room was quite stark and basic and in need of a lick of paint. There was one window which looked onto walls of the building. The shower in the bathroom was waterfall, but no attachment, so you had no alternative but to wash your hair with every shower. There was no area to relax after a day’s sightseeing.

This is a terrific location in Florence. Walking distance to every major attraction and museum. Staff were incredible. Always helping with advice. Rooms large and very comfortable.

The room was absolutely stunning. It was so surreal as the artwork on the ceiling was so impressive. I love older buildings that are full of history so this really ticked all the boxes for me.

The only thing was the shower pressure could have been a bit better and the check in process wasn’t the most intuitive, but it didn’t put me off and I’d go back there again and again.

Excellent location! What a great neighborhood. This was a lovely room. It was very quiet despite being on a busy street! There were several cafes, bars, and restaurants near us. There was also a grocery store around the corner. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo piazza. Maybe 25 minutes to the train station. The host, Giuseppe, was very kind and delightful to work with. We would friendly stay here again.

I liked the location and the room was decently comfortable. It’s very close to Palazzo Pitti and the gardens, plus some of the better restaurants I went to were on this side of the Arno!

The shower was not great and the bed was pretty hard. I know some people like that but it was just not what I prefer.

Easy to walk everywhere from there, excellent bars and restaurants just a short stroll from the hotel, shopping and convenient store just around the coner! Giulia is amazingly helpful and has great knowledge about the best places in town!
