The location and cleanliness

The room that I hooked (bathtub and balcony) was extremely hot. There was one vent to cool the whole unit down and it was barely blowing cool air. My fiance tried adjusting it and it still didn’t work. The phone in the room didn’t work as well. Nothing was done to accommodate me, I had to sleep with the balcony door shut pen and my head facing the vent just to try to be comfortable. Also, when we went to the window oil around 5:30pm on a Sunday, the bartender told us there were no more clean towels. And didn’t even try to get two for us at least. He left without telling us the bar is closing and the pool. He just vanished which was very rude. The blinds next to the tub had stains on it.

Great location and great price.

My room desperately needed renovation and staff that does inspections prior to putting room in service. Furniture dusty, chair missing, ripped wallpaper, holes in curtains. Shower bar needs to be trashed immediately due to rust. Plus more. I stayed in garden style room. Which means I had an excellent view right in other rooms that were well kept or had already been upgraded. Also traveling with group, so was able to see how upgraded theirs was too.

I like that its in the middle of everything

I dont like the fact that certain sec have less cable chanels because i had to switch my room and it was better tv than the room i was previously in

Nice pool, great location, good size room

I stay here all the time I love the Fairwind hotel as you can see I’m always there, and never had no complaints until this one time. I actually upgraded my room and all this to not be able to sleep for two nights because of the AC was broken. Woke up sweating throughout the night, I literally didn’t get any sleep at all. And I was told that I was going to get a call and they were going to do something for me, but never did.

Air conditioning is noisy

Pool was great, location perfect near Ocean drive and CVS supermarket, great room / shower, friendly staff. Bedding changed daily (although for a 4 night stay twice would be sufficient). For South Beach fairly good value for money - would recommend staying here for tourists over downtown Miami.

We had a few issues during our stay, first being that maintenance guys were changing bed frames on our first day (we couldn’t get into the room on 2 occasions throughout the day whilst they were doing it - surely should have been done before we checked in). Managers resolved quickly for us. Day 2 cleaner was in room when we returned from pool at 3:30 - knocked a can of drink over floor. Didn’t rate the food / service in the SOLA restaurant below yet you have to pay an automatic 18% service gratuity - overpriced for what it was! My daughter waited 8 mins for potatoes after her salmon was given to her (which was overcooked/dry). Constant smell of weed (cannabis) on our floor in hallways. WiFi kept dropping out so had to use 5G

It was our 5th anniversary and as always we stayed at The Fairwind Hotel because it is perfectly located just walking distance to all major spots in SoBe. We go on a cruise every year and we spend 2-3 days in SoBe to start things up and this hotel never let us down. The fully bilingual staff is always amazing and kind. The prices are very competitive for its location. Additionally, it has a private rooftop pool and an exquisite restaurant in the garden area. If you are looking to stay in South Beach, Miami; this is the hotel you are looking for. Thank you to all the staff from front desk, housekeeping and the restaurant for making us feel welcome and right at home.

This time around the hotel was almost fully booked so we couldn’t get a garden room, but other than that, it was perfect.

La habitación ( 107) esta bien, le falta tener una mesa y 2 sillas. Cama perfecta. Optimizar el espacio muebles miy grandes y viejos.

Es perfecto. Por ubicación por limpieza por restaurante por todo. Las habitaciones de la planta baja q dan al jardín son las mejores. El personal de recepción encantadores y los camareros de su restaurante SOLA han sido maravillosos.

So close to the beach, restaurants and fun. Especially when you’re leaving to the cruise port.

The staff was nice. Great location for food and the beach.

The AC turned off by its self about every 3-4 hours and would start to rise in temperature again. Therefore throughout the day and night we had to keep getting up and turning it on. The TV only allowed you to watch their guide tv so no connections to your own streaming service. The TV also shuts off at like 12am-1am ish and you couldn’t even watch there guide tv.

Location and cleanliness

Location was a plus and minus - it was opposite Bacon Bitches and attracted very loud obnoxious guests who enjoyed that crazy loud place. South beach is party central and really don’t mind the loud music and party atmosphere but speaking g over one another to a cacophony of obnoxious behavior is in your face from reception to across the road it is off-putting. Also the pool was less than desirable - falsely advertised as the pond downstairs in the lobby giving one the impression this is the pool. Bit was on the roof. Which made the water beyond tepid, with no amenities such as a bar or pleasant views or surroundings. That part was disappointing. Not so sure I’d return

We only stayed at the hotel for 1 night prior to our cruise the next day so we didn’t have much time to take advantage of the pool or other facilities such as the restaurant or bar. Location was excellent, staff was friendly, room was clean but showed some wear.

Our room was in need of some minor work mostly in the bathroom. Although spacious and equipped with grab bars, however there was only a single shelf above the toilet close to the ceiling which held the extra toilet paper, there was no other shelf to place any personal items such as hairbrush, toothpaste, contact lenses, deodorant, etc. which might prove to be extremely inconvenient if staying more than a single night. The top of the sink was also pulling away from the wall slightly, enough so that the bar of hand soap would slide into the sink each time it was used. The shower control for water temperature also needed to be tightened as the weight of the knob couldn’t be adjusted past vertical causing the water to be either too hot or too cold. Bedroom furniture (dresser and night stands showed a lot of wear with dents and scratches).

Good Location in a renovated Art Deco hotel, friendly staff, very comfortable beds with 4 comfy pillows, refrigerator/iron/coffee maker in room, room serviced every day, good restaurant on site that gave discount for guests (but added 20pct service charge to bill automatically like all MB restaurants now do)

Really bad chemical cleaner stink in hallways and lobby, bathroom is quite small, room upgrade I paid for was over-marketed and wasn't worth the 25pct higher price, ironing board missing in room, noise of Miami Beach at night could be bothersome for families with young children

1 thing I think you should do is we had a room with roof top terrace. My Wife DRILLED her head on the stairs one day, there is not a ton of room for walking, should invest in those sticky pads you can put on the bottom of the staircase steps, I can imagine this happens A LOT.

The room was nice and chilled. A great place to return to escape the sun from the beach. The room was cleaned and provided new towles daily.

Wish there was an ice machine in the actual hotel and not having to go to the bar for ice.

Great location right center of main hub. It was fifa match so lot of tourist were there and very lively. Beach is 100 ft away. Wifi was just fine not good, Staff is so great and nice and humble. Overall it was best experience.

Die Dusche funktionierte nicht und es wurde in keiner Weise wieder gut gemacht. Sie Klimaanlage war so ungewöhnlich laut, dass ich keine Minute geschlafen habe. Die Möbelstücke waren sehr abgenutzt.

Der Pool mit Aussicht über Miami Beach hat uns gefallen.

40 Dollar für eine Nacht für das Parken. Extrem laute Musik am Pool des Nachbarhotels/Bar. Frühstück erst ab 10 Uhr möglich, um 11 Uhr müsste man ausgecheckt haben.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Lage ist top...in wenigen Minuten am ocean drive.

Das Hotel war ausgebucht,sodass wir die erste Nacht in einem stinkenden Eckzimmer untergebracht wurden. Auf Nachfrage haben wir die zweite Nacht in einem entsprechenden Zimmer verbracht.

The location is very good as is the overall look of the hotel. However the room we were given for the first night of our stay was unacceptable..

The room we were given on checkin was a shoe box with two small ventilation windows above head height, it felt like a prison cell. There was no wardrobe or hanging space for clothes. The staff were embarrassed and manager was very apologetic but said the property was fully occupied that night. We were given the best room available for the second night and assistance in moving rooms, however I booked this hotel over 9 months in advance and this should not have happened. Rooms with a letter B are annexes to main rooms for family’s and should not be allocated to guests as main rooms. In addition to the room issue, the fire alarm went off at 5am on the second morning and whole hotel had to evacuate into the street in the rain. The fire crew attended and reset the alarm which then went off a further twice during the next 20 minutes.

Sehr gute Lage

Das Zimmer 111 war deutlich kleiner als die in der Buchung angegebenen m2. Die Fliesen am Boden waren mehrfach gebrochen, so das man sich Barfuss verletzten könnte. Der Schrank am Bett ist so kaputt und abgewohnt, dass er vom Sperrmühl stammen könnte. Die Elektrogeräte waren vorhanden, aber so positioniert, dass diese nicht nutzbar waren. Das Fenster ist derart verdreckt das ich das Rollo geschlossen habe, jedoch war dieses ebenfalls verdreckt. Die Klimaanlage ist so laut und Leistungsstark, als wäre diese für die Kühlung einer Lobby gedacht. Ich kam mir vor, als ob ich eine Arbeiterunterkunft in einer Pension bekommen habe, aber nicht in einem Hotel. Ich hatte mich per Mail an das Hotel gewandt, bekam die Info mich an der Rezeption zur Findung einer Lösung zu melden. Leider konnte man mir nicht helfen. Lag wohl an der Zuständigkeit. Ich hatte 50% Preisnachlass gefodert. Am Ende ist nix passiert.

Very responsive staff. They were able to help in all cases. We really appreciate that when we arrived early we could leave our suitcases in storage until the room was ready, and go to the beach ourselves. Also on the last day after checking out we were able to use the hotel pool (they also gave us towels) until the evening flight. Many thanks to Romina, Liz and Yoandri!

Everything was fine

Our stay at the Fairwind Hotel was fantastic! The location could not have been better — just one block from the beach and within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and everything South Beach has to offer. The hotel itself was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The combination of convenience, cleanliness, and location made this the perfect spot for a Miami getaway. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miami Beach!
