Reviewed Jun 29, 2024During our stay in Sri.Lanka we were in 4 different hotels, but none was as super as this one. First of all, the contact with the owner of the apartment on a big plus. If we had any questions he always wrote back quickly. He also agreed to move the check-out time, because we had a later flight, for which we are very grateful. The room itself was very nice. It did not smell of dampness, everything was clean. All the equipment in the apartment was in working order. In addition, there are also available plates, glasses, cutlery, kettle. The host also took care of access to potable water! There were no ants or other bugs in the room. The vicinity of the apartment also deserves a big plus, as there are many bus stops nearby, which can take you to all places on the island. It is also very easy to catch a tuk tuk from this location. If I were to come to Sri Lanka again, I would undoubtedly stay at Chen Villa.

Reviewed May 13, 2024Location was great for the airport. Didn't quite enjoy Negombo itself so for anything else location was irrelevant. Place to sleep, big bed, shower, toilet even mini bar, drinking water and a TV.
There was damp smell, not too terrible but I wouldn't want to stay for longer than one night. It is a quite common problem in Sri Lanka so nothing surprising there.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2024Perfect stay for the last days in Sri Lanka. The room is very clean, bathroom the same. There is also a small kitchenette that is very helpful to prepare a tea. Very comfortable bed, clean bedsheets and very good AC. Everything was very nice for our last 2 nights before leaving Sri Lanka. The host is very welcoming and the place is peaceful, away from the crowded main road. Very close to the airport, which makes a good choice for those who arrive or leave Sri Lanka.

Reviewed Feb 29, 2024Close to the airport it is a perfect welcome to Sri Lanka clean comfortable and convenient. Although I arrived close to midnight I was still warmly welcomed by the very friendly and helpful host. Ŕehan, the host, was incredibly helpful and made me feel very welcomed.

Slow wifi and weird host behaviour. Price for the breakfast on booking was 2$ but on menu provided in the room it was 5$. After mentioning it, host said it’s just tax and service fee, after that he appologized for the mistake. He served us breakfast for booking price 2$ but it was very poor experience. Small bowl of dhall curry for 2 people and 4 rottis. If I got this for 2x5$ I would be pissed. Cherry on top was his minibar check as he didn’t believe us that I didn’t have anything. After check out as we waited for a airport taxi, he was staying next to us and staring if we don’t take something from minibar 😂. Ridiculous, I’ve never experienced such thing in guest room neighter in hotel or resort.

Reviewed Jan 8, 2024Room and bathroom are clean. Room has fridge air conditioner. The owner Rehan is so nice. He picked me up from airport to the hotel, borrowed a hairdryer and arranged good 3 days tour with a good driver. It was reasonable. And I can get in touch with him anytime on WhatsApp.
Hot water pressure is a bit weak but it is no problem for me.

Reviewed Dec 24, 2023Great location, close to airport, I have an early flight and the owner came to say bye as well. Pick me brought be to airport in 10 min. Dinner was very tasty and they offered me a great ice tea. Room very clean and very comfortable. Tea and coffee facility. Amazing price quality ratio Loved to look outside from the window. Perfect for a comfortable rest before or after the long flight. Recommended for sure ! My WiFi worked without any trouble. Fan and AC both available.
