Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The L'oscar suite was a beautiful room for our wedding stay. Loved the stylish decor in the room and the hotel in general. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We absolutely loved L’oscar! My best friend and I took a girls trip to London to celebrate our summer birthdays and were delighted to stay there. We so appreciated the generous staff, especially Shifaz, who helped us daily. All the staff remembered our names, our plans, and were eager to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the rooms offered every amenity. Breakfast each morning and room service at night were exceptional. The location was perfect for us, as we wanted to shop and see the theatre. If we wanted to see another part of the city, that was always an option as the tube was very close. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful spot for a beautiful ice cream. Ian is wonderful, brightened up my day
Ian was really kind and helpful and he even let me ring the bell. The ice cream was also delicious . Marcus aged 11.
My daughter and I stayed at L’oscar London, and it was one of the best things about our visit to this city. It is well located steps away from Holborn station and in pretty part of the city. In addition to the beauty of the building, the food and service were exquisite. All staff seemed to bring genuine joy to their jobs, and we have never received so much kind attention! Toni, in particular, was always there for us and went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and secure. I can’t say enough about the comfort and quality of L’oscar.
We stayed here for 6 nights and had an absolutely excellent stay. Recently renovated, the room was very clean, comfortable and typically larger than the average London hotel room. Location is very central. Service was excellent. Tony was wonderful in helping us arrange transportation. Overall, an excellent value for a high cost city like London.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was so sweet! Thank you Toni and the rest of the staff for giving such an experience, I will be back next time I’m in London :)
Had a wonderful stay in July 2026 celebrating my husband’s upcoming “0” birthday. Service by all team members was top notch, and we especially enjoyed Toni and appreciated all of his help during our stay. Will definitely be back!
My visit in March was so pleasant that I decided to return. Once again I found this an amazing hotel, small, quiet but within walking distance of all the major attractions or else by bus/tube right outside the door. The staff is amazing, the ambience perfect and overall the perfect stay during a busy time of year. I stayed in a junior suite which was much larger than the standard London hotel room. Don't ignore the wonderful breakfasts which are delicious, varied and plentiful, and keep you going the whole day. Thoroughly recommend, is now my go-to place in London
Fabulous small hotel in a convenient London location. Lovely rooms. Great hotel restaurant. Best part is a superb staff that goes out of the way to make your stay special. Special kudos to Tony.
Service was outstanding. Toni was exceptionally attentive. Also the breakfast was really good both from a food and atmosphere standpoint.
L’oscar was a wonderful experience They when out of their way to accommodate after I got out of the hospital. Your hotel ranks at the top of our short list of top hotels. The staff could not have done more than they did. Thanks for an unforgettable experience.
The staff were all fantastic, specifically management's friendly greetings and attention to detail in the restaurant during the late mornings, as well as George who was absolutely lovely when we arrived. He got us seated in the opulent yet airy sitting room and brought snacks and drinks so we could unwind from the journey before showing us to our beautiful room. He told us a few historical facts about the hotel & our accomodations which was awesome. The room itself was so gorgeous & unique -- we definitely want to come back next time we visit London. Sound doesn't travel through the walls at all & they have city windows installed over the original frame to preserve the aesthetics but block out street noise. Finally, Toni was extremely helpful; we had quite a bit of luggage to deal with and he happily stored it for the day. When we came back earlier than we told him, he promptly helped get each bag into a cab that he flagged down for us. It made the stressful jumble of checking out very seamless. I can't say enough good about L'oscar!
One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed. Friends made reservations. Food superb, room beautiful. Service great. My husband had to be hospitalized while we were there and while we were supposed to leave Monday they were able to accommodate us for a few extra days until he was released from hospital. I cannot say enough about Tony and Michaela and their attentiveness and caring. They went above and beyond. They were wonderful It was such a pleasure to stay there. The entire staff made such an effort to take care of us it was so comforting. We were away from our home in the US.
Our 4 days at L’Oscar was fabulous! The boutique hotel is plush, gorgeous, and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was professional but so friendly, including Michaela who brought our breakfast and Tony the doorman. We were treated with such great attention….like we were their favorite hotel guests. The hotel used to be a Baptist church and has been converted to a boutique hotel. It has so much character and charm! We will definitely be back again!
After 2 weeks traveling through Europe on our honeymoon and a long travel day, the staff at L’Oscar were the most welcoming of our entire trip. The atmosphere of the lounges, restaurant and especially our room was luxurious and perfect for us. The location was central to many shops and a tube station was just at the corner! We look forward to returning again.
Lovely staff, especially Toni who was very caring and warm.
Good very comfortable room, got complimentary room upgrade and the service was spotless. Thank you Toni for assisting at the door 24/7!
Such a lovely hotel and the hospitality was exceptional, from the front desk who greeted us with champagne and pastries, the restaurant staff that treated us like 👑, housekeeping that kept our room spotless with little treats every evening to Toni who helped with bags, taxis and honest advice. Can't wait to visit London again and for sure will be booking L'Oscar.

absolutely fantastic; room was ready early in the morning for check-in, and room was clean and spotless everyday. Service was fantastic and welcoming, Toni was particularly warm and very helpful. The hotel is right next to Holborn underground station and conveniently located.
This is absolutely my new favorite hotel in London. I was recently unexpectedly stranded overnight. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating to a very grumpy, tired traveler who lost their luggage. They upgraded me to a beautifully appointed suite helped me guide me gather necessities. Tony and Mary were wonderful as well as the Restaurant staff. I look forward to my next London jaunt - hopefully it will be with less travel drama.
We had an amazing stay here for a night and got to enjoy the afternoon tea, posh accomodation, and excellent service from Toni. Really appreciated his care for us during our stay!
5.0 based on location, amenities, and service. The issue i have is they sent me a final bill but then charged me a lot more. I reached out to them and they admitted to making a mistake and said they would issue a refund. They issued a refund to my Visa but then recalled it so I am still waiting on a refund.
We usually stay at a London 5-star property but decided to try L'Oscar for a weeklong stay to celebrate an anniversary because the design looked original and appealing and the price point was lower. We're very glad we did! Staff were responsive and helpful even before I booked, when I emailed with questions about the various room categories and a request for a room that gets natural light, etc. The level of care continued from the time we arrived until we left. L'Oscar is stunning--a delight to behold and as far from a cookie-cutter design as you can get. Public areas are welcoming and boldly but tastefully decorated and our room was one of my all-time favorites after decades of staying in fine hotels. It was large and beautifully designed and appointed, with a separate sitting area and desk. The room had a foyer with closet; access to the well-appointed bathroom was from the foyer, which also made the room feel immense. The room was spotless and breakfast service, turndown, and housekeeping were excellent. There is no pool or gym, but guests may use a gym around the corner at no charge (I didn't, so cannot speak to its quality.) Location was perfect for West End productions and we walked most everywhere. Sainsbury's is across the street for snacks, drinks, etc. From a comfort/character/value standpoint, I think L'Oscar is very hard to beat.
Our stay at L’Oscar was especially special! The location was perfect; central, right next to the Tube station with the whole city easily accessible within 20 mins either way. The hotel has a very inviting atmosphere and very helpful staff. Toni anticipated our departure and arranged transport efficiently and timely. The rooms are extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated , and service was excellent! Everything needed was available or arranged by the staff. Despite being in the middle of the city, the noise cancellation was great! Would recommend a 100%! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to visit again.
The hotel is outstanding as are the staff. I stayed in the junior suite grande which is superb. I had a fall while elsewhere in London and had to go to A&E. Staff at the hotel were made aware and upon my return from hospital they couldn’t have been more helpful. The food in the restaurant was world class. Full marks.
We loved our stay. From the moment we walked in the service was top notch, especially from Toni. The room was very nice, tasteful, clean, everything you would want for a special night.
Lovely stay at L’Oscar Staff was excellent especially Toni for all of this help and recommendations.
We had a lovely stay! Toni helped our departure from the hotel go so smoothly, grateful for his help!
L’oscar is one the best hotels I’ve ever stayed, hands down. From Vanicia to Toni and Rashid, the staff’s level of excellence, friendliness and desire to go above and beyond to make your stay better is unmatched. This was my first trip to London, and I’ll certainly be back and will stay at L’oscar. Cheers to the wonderful staff!
Beautiful hotel and rooms and would definitely stay again. Everyone from the doorman/porter to reception to restaurant staff went above and beyond to make your stay memorable
Wonderful small boutique hotel in the heart of London. Special birthday touches but the real highlight is the doorman Toni!
We had a wonderful stay at L’oscar. The boutique hotel was incredibly well-run, from the moment you walk in until the sad moment you have to leave the property. The room was amazing - with the largest double shower and tub room we had ever seen. The food on property - both in the dining room and in-room service - was some of the best we’ve had at any hotel throughout the world. One of the true stars of the property is the Concierge, Toni. He caters to your every need with kindness and efficiency; remembering each guest by name. He is a true asset to L’oscar! Thank you to the entire team for a memorable stay!
This hotel was absolutely amazing. Our room was spacious, we received so many complimentary goodies, and breakfast every morning was impeccable. The hotel was incredibly clean and beautiful, and each day we were amazed by the consistently high quality experience. Staff members such as Toni made our stay especially remarkable and memorable, and because of that we will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful stay at L’Oscar for our anniversary! The doorman Toni always greeted us by name with a smile. He was so kind, attentive and helpful during our stay with recommendations and finding us a taxi. We would love to return again!
From soup to nuts was a lovely stay. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful and well appointed rooms. Lovely breakfast options. Would happily return.
Great hotel- large rooms, even for London, and terrific service- personable and consistent. Excellent location near Soho, Covent Garden, etc. Shoutout to Toni- the best bellman in London!
My wife and I went to London for 9 days just to soak up the local scene/culture and to be pampered. We definitely picked the right place. From our enthusiastic initial greeting from Sara to our room tour and orientation from Tony, we quickly understood this stay would be a lot of fun. It’s an historic building that has been incredibly well maintained. The entire hotel has impressive attention to detail. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return.
Very amazing service at this hotel. Beautifully curated. Toni is the best - he was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. We felt so welcomed here.
What a special experience. Start to finish. Traveling for business, I came off a red eye and was immediately greeted by Toni’s warm smile. I sat in the lobby during a call while the team brought me coffee and water and got me set up in my room (automatically, without me saying a thing). The access to the nearby Gymbox was great. The team learned that I went daily and started calling the gym to let them know I was coming each day—again, without me saying anything. Everyone knew my name, things about me, everything. The room was large and beautifully kept. Restaurant was excellent. The whole property was so nice—like staying in the estate of a rich eccentric aunt. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel; could go on forever. Bravo to the team—we will not hesitate to come back.
We really enjoyed our four days at L’Oscar. The bed was perfectly comfortable and the room was plush and well appointed. Everything you would expect in a great hotel! The staff is so kind and welcoming. From the moment you step in everyone ensures you are taken care of. The concierge ensured we had plans set up. The breakfasts are exceptional. Enjoyed reading a book over a cappuccino Many thanks to Toni who hailed cabs during peak times and looked after us to make sure we had our airport return nailed down. He and the rest of the staff made our stay special
Absolutely loved L'Oscar London. The hotel feels luxurious and unique without being over the top, amazing service, beautiful design, and a perfect location for exploring London. The rooms, atmosphere, and overall experience made the trip feel special. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed at L'Oscar for 4 nights in April 2026. This is a lovely traditional property. There are not a lot of rooms or amenities (no gym, spa, etc.) but the staff was warm and helpful. The hotel is located across from the Holborn tube station and a short walk to Covent Garden/West End, Regent Street, Oxford Circus, etc. There are many restaurant options -- all price ranges and cuisines. We were welcomed with tea and allowed to check in early. The room was spacious and L'Oscar provided bottled water, coffee and tea. We did not have afternoon tea or dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was plentiful. The only caveat I have is that you should check you bill very carefully because the property added fees that were not disclosed to us. Also, ask for a printed copy of the final invoice. - Although breakfast was included, an automatic gratuity is added. - There was a vague "service accommodation fee" of 5% OF THE ROOM RATE. When I asked what this was, the person at the front desk was vague. I kept asking for clarification and finally he told me "it's like a tip for housekeeping - you should have been told about this when you checked in." Of course, I was not told about this at check-in and I had been leaving a cash tip each day. In any case, I think it is absurd to charge a tip for housekeeping as percentage of the room rate. I asked for this to be removed and it was. - Third, when I checked out I went over the invoice and took a picture of the final bill. Sometime over the next few days, they INCREASED MY FINAL CHARGE. It was only about GBP 20 but they did not notify me. In my experience, the final invoice is the final invoice and if that changes the guest should be notified. I emailed the property and did not receive a clear answer other than something along the lines of "this is the charge." I sent them a picture of what they told me the final invoice was and they still insisted that it was not. When I said I would write about this online, they offered to credit me the GBP 20 if I sent them all my credit card information via unsecured email. I declined to do so.
I’ve been to many 5-star hotels throughout the years but let me tell you this was one hits the nail on the head. From the first moment you walk in, to the check in experience, the name recognition and overall service; you’ll never want to leave. You pay for what you get obviously but Toni was amazing throughout our stay. Always keeping us on check. Alex was our waiter for Afternoon tea and with Chelsea flower season we had a great experience. Reminder to the team to add the Rose Petal Jam to the menu!! I asked for it the next at breakfast. Room was spacious and we had some complimentary snacks in the room. Try the afternoon tea there - phenomenal!! I’m telling people this is in my Top 3 list based on service provided. Please visit them and stay a few nights - you won’t regret it!
We loved our stay at L’Oscar London. It’s truly a luxurious, hidden gem in the heart of London. The rooms and common areas are spectacular and more importantly, the service is impeccable. Florencia and Tony treated us like family. We will miss our morning conversations over breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - wow - what an incredible way to start your day in London. The hotel is centrally located, steps from the tube station with access to the Piccadilly and Central lines and a convenient walk or cycle to all the hot spots in town - Mayfair, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Borough Market, the Thames and more. We are looking forward to our next London visit and to staying at L’Oscar.
Everything about this hotel is just right. From our first stay, the staff was so warm and friendly that we knew we had to come back. The rooms are spacious, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfy, and the food and drinks are exceptional. I treated myself to room‑service breakfast, and it was such a lovely experience. This boutique hotel is a true gem — just a 7‑minute walk to the British Museum and right next to the Holborn tube stop. A special thank‑you to Toni, the wonderful gentleman who greets you at the door. He is always kind, helpful, and such a delight. Thank you, Toni, for taking such good care of us.
Perfect stay at L’Oscar. Very warm welcome from Toni and Marie-Sophie, room very comfortable and clean, all needed amenities. Would love to come back!
Service, comfort, atmosphere, breakfast, location, access to Underground – all fantastic! Toni was super welcoming and helpful getting cars or anything else needed.
L’Oscar is in a great location, right by the Holborn tube station. From the moment we checked in and were offered tea or champagne, to the moment we checked out, the service was wonderful. Toni was very helpful with our bags and getting us a taxi. Would definitely come back!
Wonderful location, very friendly and professional staff and great food.
Absolutely wonderful hotel! The ambience, decor and cleanliness are superb but what made the experience exceptional is the staff; particularly Vanicia, Shivaz, Toni and the entire service group @ breakfast and dinner. They each are a credit to your operation; friendly, knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. We’re looking forward to our next visit!
A truly exceptional stay at L'oscar London. My daughter and I spent three nights at L'oscar in early April as the home base for a Shakespeare- and Tudor-history-themed trip to London, and the hotel was every bit as memorable as the city itself. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff made us feel like we were guests of honor. Their warmth, attentiveness, and quiet professionalism elevated every interaction — from a thoughtful late check-in arrangement to small, unprompted gestures that made my eight-year-old feel genuinely welcome. The rooms are remarkable. Jacques Garcia's design is theatrical without ever feeling overdone — rich fabrics, marble and onyx bathrooms, beautiful art, and a sense that you've stepped into a stage set that was made just for you. Our Deluxe Room was deeply comfortable and a wonderful space to retreat to after long days of exploring. The location in Bloomsbury proved ideal. We were within easy reach of the West End for evening theatre, walkable to Covent Garden, and well-positioned for the museums and historic sites that anchored our itinerary. After a full day of Tudor portraits, Shakespeare's Globe, or Westminster Abbey, returning to L'oscar always felt like coming home to something special. A rare hotel where the design, the service, and the setting all live up to one another. We will absolutely be back.
Phenomenal three-night stay as a family of three. Toni and the rest of the team were genuinely warm and conversational in every interaction. They went above and beyond for our one-year-old with a stuffed elephant, an elephant rubber duck, mini slippers, plus a diaper pail, baby bath, and organic soap and lotion in the room. Turn-down service was a lovely touch. The staircase is worth a walk even if you're not staying on an upper floor. Vegan afternoon tea was well worth it. Would easily return!
We had a great time!!! It was a Trader Joe's group of 12!! The staff was amazing the food was great and Toni was my hero!! He carried our extremely heavy bags out to the taxi!! lol. We will definitely be back!!
Great hospitality from the staff. Toni was the best
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from beginning to end, and all the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Special thanks to Toni and George, who made our trip so much smoother and more enjoyable. Before we arrived, they carefully confirmed all the details with us and gave us very helpful recommendations for our stay in London. They also helped us with our luggage and arranged transportation whenever we needed it. We had to leave very early at 4am for our flight, and they thoughtfully prepared and delivered packed breakfast boxes to our room, which we really appreciated. The hotel location is also fantastic, only about a 5-minute walk to the British Museum, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Thank you again to Toni, George, and the whole team for the warm hospitality. We would definitely stay here again!
The hotel was amazing! Beautifully designed and decorated. Staff was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I want to especially commend Toni. He was so helpful, approachable and friendly. Love this place and highly recommend!
L'Oscar London is a beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities. The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are exquisite. The location near the British Museum and the West End was very convenient.
My husband and I stayed here on the first night of a couples trip to the UK. This hotel was fabulous! Mary at the front desk was immensely helpful, and even offered us tea while we waited to check in. Alex gave us a tour of the stunning property. Our room was beautiful and grand, and the hotel even gave us a birthday treat for my husband. The location couldn’t be better! It’s directly across the street from a Tube stop and walking distance to the British Museum. I would 100% book this hotel again!
Was at l’oscar for our 10th anniversary trip and it was absolutely wonderful! Toni gave the best service we have received and we travel frequently. The room was beautiful and spacious. All of the staff made us feel so welcomed. We had breakfast both days which was wonderful. The drinks at the bar were also top notch! Overall wonderful hotel
The hotel is very nice and clean. The location is excellent and the staff is really helpful, especially Toni, always attentive to our every need. Highly recommended!
Just got back from a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula and felt the need to write this review to recommend the transport services of Oscar Zermeno who is based in Merida. Oscar is one of a kind - he is a genuinely nice guy who cares about the quality of the service he provides to his clients. He is a careful and considerate driver, his car is immaculately clean, he provides water for the journey, his pricing is fair and he keeps you informed regarding pick up and drop off times according to how the traffic is going. Oscar has some great recommendations for places to visit (like Xcambo) , places to eat (who knew Lebanese food was so popular in Mexico?), and other interesting and unusual suggestions to make your trip that bit different and certainly more special. We were sad to say 'Goodbye' to Oscar at the end of our trip, it felt like leaving a friend even after a comparatively short amount of time. So the best thing we can do is to encourage everyone to use Oscar's transportation services, safe in the knowledge that he will only add good things to your holiday. Oscar is on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram so get in touch with him so that he's ready and waiting for you when you get to Mexico! Helen F
Absolutely stunning hotel with staff that add to an extraordinary experience. When you stay here you must ask for a tour of the “Baptist” bar, library and meeting room. Tremendous kudos to Tony and Shifaz for their attentive actions. Mary and Florenne kindly took care of a small wound that I received while walking. The remarkable rooms and sheets were of high quality and were very comfortable to sleep in The breakfasts were magnificent (waffles, eggs, terrific coffee) as well as the dinners. We shall dearly miss this hotel - perhaps the best we have ever stayed in and we travel extensively. - it was
This hotel is more than it looks. It’s is a palimpsest of time. It carries the marks of what we’ve been through but also the possibility of being transformed into something new. It was originally a church, damaged by a bomb in WWII, and rescued by architect Jacques Garcia. His choice to restore rather than erase, to be let those original details show through the new design, feels like honoring that history while moving forward. The staff was incredibly welcoming, catering to every detail with kindness and devotion. I’m so grateful and hope to be back soon! The rooms were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms feels luxurious and you can’t beat the location right beside the Holborn Station.
Suave, sophisticated hotel with great service.
We loved the stay mainly because of Toni. The location was awesome, 1-min walk from central line, room was small but had everything we need. But Toni, he was phenomenal. The moment we walked into the hotel he gave us the warmest welcome, helped us get complimentary coffee and snacks and introduced our room. He seems to take good care of all the guests and we loved that for him! He sets the service standard so high that we are expecting the same service through our trip! Big shout out to Toni and I would def recommend this hotel to people because of him!
All the staff were polite and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and full of character, as is the entire hotel. Breakfast was excellent and the luxury of a late night cocktail was a treat. Lastly a special word for Toni. He helped elevate L’Oscar from just a hotel to a home.
The hotel is gorgeous! All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Our breakfast and bar service were top notch.
London and L’Oscar was our last stop on our 5+ week trip and we saved the best for last! Our stay at L’Oscar bordered on magical. The interior is gorgeous and luxurious. It used to be a Baptist church and later the headquarters of the Baptist Church of England. The greeting when we arrived including coming across the street to assist us with our luggage made quite an impression on us. After checking in we were escorted to our room. Wow! The room was stunning! We stayed in room 201 which was a suite. It was the best room of our trip by far and that includes coming from the St. Regis in Venice the stop before which was definitely a disappointment. Service levels were amazing! Toni and Ana were both terrific with their friendliness, helpfulness and just outright commitment to providing the best possible hotel experience. I can’t speak highly enough about both of them. We also really enjoyed the breakfasts in the morning and dinner in the evening. We dined at the hotel our first night as we were arriving somewhat late and it was excellent. Their veal Milanese was delicious and in fact better than two examples we had in Milan a week earlier. It was so good we decided to eat there again on our last night! It was that good. As you can tell we loved our stay and would never think about staying anywhere else the next time we are in London! Highly, highly recommend!
Simpatia dos empregados. Qualidade geral do alojamento e dos serviços.
Nada a assinalar
A truly unforgettable London experience — 5 stars isn’t enough! I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, but L’oscar London is in a league of its own. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was completely swept away by the opulence and attention to detail that sets this place apart. The room was an absolute dream — beautifully appointed, impeccably maintained, and so comfortable I barely wanted to leave. Every inch of the décor felt thoughtfully curated, with that signature bold, luxurious aesthetic that makes L’oscar so distinctive. The staff deserve a special mention. Warm, professional, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling intrusive — they anticipated every need and made me feel like a true VIP throughout my stay. It’s rare to find service at this level, and it made all the difference. Toni is amazing and really works hard to surpass your expectations! The location in Holborn is perfect — central enough to explore the best of London, yet tucked away enough to feel like a hidden gem. And the on-site restaurant and bar? Absolutely world-class. The food and cocktails were exquisite, and the atmosphere was unlike anywhere else in the city. L’Oscar isn’t just a hotel — it’s an experience. I’ll be back without a doubt.
The decor in the hotel evokes an elegant and opulent feel. Breakfast was great and the staff is wonderful. Location is also top-notch, very close to attractions and theaters.
Beautifully appointed room, comfortable common spaces, intimate feel to the restaurant with excellent food (had breakfasts and dinner there).Toni took great care of us from the time we checked in and every time we returned!
I have stayed 3 times in one year at this fabulous boutique hotel, convenient to the British Museum and Covent Garden. The service is outstanding. Note that they charge a service fee of 25 pounds per day, but it is worth it. You don't have to worry about tipping with cash the many people who help you throughout your stay. The breakfast is excellent and the rooms very quiet and comfortable.
There are some places one hesitates to review because they are so good you want to keep it to yourself. L'Oscar is one of these places, a small boutique hotel in London, away from the tourist mobs yet within a few minutes of the British museum and easy walk to Covent Garden, the theatre district, Oxford St for shopping and National Theatre. My room was large and well appointed and, as others have pointed out, the omnipresent Toni was there to greet you and offer advice. Negatives are very few and trivial. Cost of drinks and snacks from in room fridge overpriced. However the Sainsbury's across the road took care of that! Would also be nice to have had an ice delivery every afternoon and I'm sure that would have been provided if I'd asked. All in all outstanding and will be my go to home in London
It was cool, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Excellent stay. My second stay here, with another scheduled for next month. Service great, lovely ambience and perfect location. All staff were incredible and Toni the doorman deserves special praise - extremely proactive. My go-to London hotel.
A stunning hotel in a good location
L’Oscar in Covent Garden is an absolutely stunning hotel — dark, moody, sexy, and full of character. The entire property feels intimate, glamorous, and beautifully designed. We stayed in Room 101, which was lovely, stylish, and a perfect reflection of the hotel’s rich and luxurious atmosphere. The food was delicious and always came out hot! What truly made our stay special was the hospitality. Tony, Sara, her front desk staff, and Shifaz were exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their service made the experience feel even more memorable, and we will return! This is a truly special place to stay in London.
Everything about the LOscar is worth highlighting - from the welcome to the charming rooms - breakfast buffet and lounge !!! Service was excellent and location could not be better !!
The hotel it’s beautiful. The location amazing so close to everything. The restaurant inside the hotel has an amazing food. The stuff so friendly they will go out of their way to do everything for you.
The hotel was beautiful. The rooms are very clean. The stuff wonderful. The guy at the door Toni went out and beyond to help us with everything. One of the best experiences i ever had.
Such a beautiful, unique space just a five minute walk from the British Museum and quick walk to Soho too! The attention to detail from the restaurant to the decor makes L’oscar a special London experience. My friend and I were immediately welcomed by Toni at the front door; that set the stage for a wonderful visit. Would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone (esspecially anyone with AMEX Platinum benefits).
This is a terrific boutique hotel. They greeted us as we entered the lobby and escorted us to their beautiful lounge for check in. We were offered refreshments as they checked us in and took us personally to our room to show all the amenities. The room was beautiful and our son loved the large rain shower stall. The guest services staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We dined in their restaurant for dinner one night and the food was delicious and the staff very attentive. We had complimentary breakfast included in our stay and again the staff was terrific. Toni who acted like a major domo for guest services especially was great. He asked after our son who felt sick one of the days and Toni went out of his way to help us get medicine for him. I have traveled to many countries and stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels. I would highly recommend L’oscar for your stay in London. We will definitely be staying with them again on our next visit.
An exceptional stay from start to finish. The atmosphere is beautifully curated, the food was outstanding, and the level of service truly sets this hotel apart. Every member of staff I encountered was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. A seamless experience that I thoroughly enjoyed, I’ll absolutely be returning.
My daughter and I had an amazing stay at L’Oscar—what a unique property! The hotel is set in a former church, with stunning baroque design inspired by Oscar Wilde, which gives it such a special atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, and both the food and breakfast were excellent. Highly recommend for a memorable stay
Our sincere thanks to Vanicia, Marie-Sophie, Florencia, Shifaz, Sokol and Alexandre, one of the best experiences we have ever had in London From the moment we arrived to when we checked out, it was exquisite. Thank you, we will be back
Toni and the rest of the staff were absolute class. The hosting staff Florencio was very knowledgeable with a radiant smile despite the many questions I had. Will return without reservations.
We had an absolutely wonderful one night stay here in London! From Tony assisting us with parking and our bags on arrival, to the multiple lovely concierges (whose names i didn’t catch!), to Hassan bringing up a wonderful room service breakfast, and all the others working behind the scenes— it was all fantastic. Thank you all!
A beautiful and unique hotel, and the restaurant is fantastic. Excellent service, especially from Tony!
Such a wonderful hotel. With only 38 rooms, l’Oscar takes care of you with the most personalised service. Staff are very attentive and make your stay very comfortable. The rooms are just stunning and a little oasis in central London. Will definitely return one day.
Location, style, atmosphere, staff is very friendly, helpful and gracious. It is quiet and accommodating to individuals’ needs.
