Beautiful secluded cottages that were the perfect size for what we were wanting
A bit out of the way from amenities like groceries, but not enough to really bother us
It was very quiet which we loved
Being 6'2" I kept bumping my head lol also it was just a little bit remote for us
This is a quiet cottage in the country only a 5 minute drive from charming Betws-y-Coed. We used this location as a base to explore much of the North of Wales. It has a well stocked kitchen area so we could make breakfast before heading out and supper sometimes as well, to keep costs down on our trip. The cottages are very charming, rustic on the outside but modern on the inside. A great place to unwind for a few days or more.
The property was amazing, comfortable warm, spacious and fitted the bill perfectly for us all.
Nothing at all
The location was superb. Very peaceful and quiet and definitely seemed like we were on a holiday 😊. The location was very easy to find and the host was very reachable on the given contact considering we checked in at 10 pm.

The cottage facilities were spot on for a family and the location was stunning.
After a long hike we could have used a soak in a bath. However the powerful shower was a big help!
Location was perfect and was a perfect cosy escape.
Surroundings are wonderful, pure countryside and nice view of Snowdonia just some steps away. Location is close to Betws-y-coed, just up the mountain. By foot, 15 minutes walk, you can reach Capel Garmon that is nice and has an Inn. Perfect for evening walk and drink. Cottage was very clean and cosy, well equipped kitchen. Breakfasts outside, in the mornings are always perfect introduction to active day. Would love to stay there longer, again.
We really loved the peaceful location and the cottage was so cosy and comfortable. It was a lovely place to relax and we really enjoyed our stay.
Mooie omgeving, goede uitrusting, lekkere bedden en veel ruimte in het huisje.
Amazing Peaceful Heaven !!!
A beautiful, well equipped cottage in a gorgeous location. Our host was wonderful & provided lots of information & helped us with the questions we had. The cottage had super comfy beds, lots of hot water, lovely decor & was spotlessly clean. The little extras were very thoughtful like tea bags, washing up things, loo roll & welshcakes! It was peaceful but easy to get to nearby towns & attractions. We definitely would recommend this & hope to visit again.

Perfect little cottage
Nothing not to like
The 400ish year old 2 bedroom cottage was very nicely done up, had everything needed and was in a lovely remote location with great views. The rooms were (unsurprisingly) not big but it was still very comfortable and enjoyable.
It is a well looked after property in a perfect location. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Beautiful farm which it is located in. Peaceful. I would definitely come back again.
Not enough BBQ/Firepits as currently has one which is for 3-4 properties. No personal freezer, but there was a communal one which was accessible through request.
Location was so peaceful , safe location for children. Easy access for all locations.

Ligging, sfeer cottage
Just being back home in the welsh mountains with a very old friend of mine and everything was great appart from there wasnt many shops with low priced items.
This cottage was located in a peaceful area, with neighbouring farm animals. It was very clean when we arrived, with towels provided and a lovely welcoming gift. There was also a folder filled with heaps of recommendations, which helped us to plan out our days and gave us inspiration.
There was nothing I didn’t like
The location was excellent, nice and quiet and peaceful. The cleanliness was excellent The bed was very comfy. Upstairs was good. Great Little bolt hole. There was a pub/inn a short walk away. Good kitchenette modern. Host was friendly and helpful
When entering the property there was a strong odour of old and damp. I had to leave the door open as the smell was too much
Lots of homely features! Very clean and comfortable. Great location, private and quiet. Loved the little bbq area out the front. We would love to come back and stay in the hobbit houses!
No negatives!
This is a super place to stay, Clean premises, tucked out of the way but with excellent access to Snowdonia, with a super powerful shower. Plenty of space in a rural location, good Internet access. Absolutely loved it.
There was very little we didn't like, I suppose the only improvement would be a couple more dining chairs rather than the 2 stools
Hele mooie buitenruimte en omgeving huisje heel netjes
Takken werden later wel gesnoeid maar dat was wel een hinderlijk dat deze op het pad naar het huisje de auto raakte.
Beautiful view, very quite location, owner very friendly
Exactly as described, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Close enough to Bettws to get everything without any hassle.

Location and cottage
Set in a beautiful & peaceful location but within easy access to lots of attractions. The Cottage was very cosy with a large comfortable bed and the host also left some really lovely treats for us. Thanks very much.
Location was v quiet & peaceful. The house kept cool in high temperatures we had. It had a bathroom & another seperate toilet. The bed & bed linen were really comfortable. Great location with many places to visit
The spiders & alot of webs. The towels were small & v thin. It wasnt easy to watch the television as the chairs were alongside it.
This is a tranquil rural location. Several adjoining cottages, house and camping pods on property. All neighbours were respectful and quiet, and there was plenty of parking and outdoor seating (when weather behaved!) Our cottage was cosy and comfortable, kitchen well equipped with basics. Appreciated the welcome goodies and we did get a spot of sunshine to sit outside to enjoy the Prosecco. Note you are just over 1 mile from Betwys-y-coed and the drive is on a one way road with winding sections and passing spots. Would stay here again.
Nothing, but a suggestion is to put a shelf in bathroom of our cottage to put toiletries on. Not sure if other cottages have a shelf.
Beautiful location , within easy driving distance of most sights.
none
The cottage was lovely and clean with a lovely homely feel! Very quiet and peaceful.
The property itself was fantastic, the only down side was the lane upto to cottage was only a single lane and could be hard to pass oncoming traffic without having to reverse half way back down the lane
Property is rural and so peaceful
Amazing cottage in a perfect location. Clean and tidy and has everything you need. We will definitely be back next year.
Door was unlocked on arrival
Didn't meet host at all and sofa not comfortable.
The location! Close enough to walk into town but feeling very remote! Warm, comfortable and self contained
Nothing really. The plumbing was noisy but not a bother at all
peace and quiet lovely area
needed a hittub after climbing snowdon lol
The beautiful peaceful surrounds and privacy of the location. The host Jane is fantastic and is very responsive to all questions. There is a lovely pub within walking distance which is great.
It is expected that there are a few bugs around but the spiders were around a fair bit. We had to keep a spray out as new ones popped in. Not a massive deal though as it is very immersed in nature! The fridge didn’t have a freezer component and that would be nice especially when bringing along food to cook for a stay that is quite a period of time.
Beautiful property with everything you could need !!!
Nothing
Everythink was beautiful the views an the cottage
Location was perfect. Quiet and lovely views.
The views and surrounding countryside are stunning so peaceful that all you hear are the birds and just a 10 minute walk to the local pub (White Horse) lovely people and food excellent, especially the Thai green curry!
Nothing
Fabulous location, comfy beds , good kitchen, easy check in , toilets and showers for both bedrooms
Heating and hot water packed in after first night , did contact the owner but had no reply so had to use the cooker to warm the room , boiled kettle to wash dishes , hair dryer only blows cold air , very poor as in no reply to obvious big problem
Fantastic location and surroundings. Cosy well equipped cottage.
Bed mattress not comfortable, didn't sleep too well. Sofa not very comfortable either
We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful and cosy cottage. It had everything we needed and felt incredibly comfortable throughout our trip. It was beautiful to wake up and see the cows/sheep in the farm nextdoor to the cottage. The host was so helpful and made everything seamless (Jane was super responsive and a pleasure to communicate with). The location was perfect - only a short drive to Betws-y-Coed, which made it an ideal base for exploring North Wales. The peaceful surroundings made for a really relaxing getaway.
As is common in this part of the area, the drive to the cottage involves a few winding, narrow roads.
Lovely cosy cottage, in a stunning location, with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
A very beautiful, cosy cottage with everything we needed, host was very helpful and everything was perfect, about 6/7 minute drive to Betws y coed which was perfect. Would love to come back and stay in the bigger cottage with hot tub! Looked amazing
Nothing
Very cosy and nice location. The cottage had everything necessary. We really the private and quiet environment.
No concerns
The location is stunning and the property outstanding
Nothing
Such a cute little cottage in a quiet, serene location. We had easy access to hikes in North Wales and the rural area was beautiful. The house was small but well-equipped with everything we needed.
Everything. Beautifully clean. Checked in early. Fantastic communication with the owner. Will definitely be coming back x Even told we didn’t need to check out at 10.00. Thank you Jane
You cannot get a taxi from the local town to the cottage. It’s a good walk with a very steep hill. We didn’t mind this as we are keen walkers, but you will need to drive if not prepared to take on this hill. It’s a good 30mins walk to the town.
Loved the proximity to all the beauty the area has to offer! The building itself. The welcome basket. Comfortable bed. The responsive host. Highly recommended
The roads to the cottage are narrow and winding but not unusual for the area.
The nice and greatly appreciated welcome tray. The free and pretty speedy wi-fi. Combi boiler allowed for on-demand hot water. Excellent shower. Comfortable lounge area. Excellent outdoor space and plentiful parking. Plentiful utensils, cutlery and crockery. Towels provided. Very comfortable accommodation. Would recommend unreservedly!

Very clean and bedrooms were comfortable. White Horse pub is a ten-minute walk from the property and does great Thai food. Nice views on nearby walks.
Kitchen could be better equipped - no decent chopping knives or wooden spoons. Leather sofa was not comfortable. The dining table was tiny and there were two armchairs and a stool instead of dining chairs. As the cottage is remote, it would be nicer to have a better sitting and dining space.
Quiet, cosy and comfortable. A lovely location, quite remote.
It was a lovely stay in a quiet location. The property was very clean and had everything needed for the stay. Super close to Betws-y-coed and was a great base to walk up snowdon - 30 mins in the car to Pen-y-pass.
Nothing :)
Perfect location to escape busy city life .Cottage was in lovely location not far from town and outdoor activities .
The location is beautiful and so quiet. We stayed in Stable Cottage which is utterly charming and well equipped. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and we had a bottle of prosecco, some Welsh cakes and chocolate left as a welcome which was lovely. This is our second time staying here and it certainly won't be the last. We are very sad to be leaving today but we will book again as soon as possible.
Gorgeoys cute cottage tucked away in the countryside and just a 5 minute drive into the village with all amenities, lovely pubs and starting points on gorgeous walks. The property has the most comfiest bed. Everything you need for a couple days stay. The property was easy to access on arrival with a bottle of prosecco, chocolates and biscuits as a welcome package, which was a lovely touch.
Its very neat and clean, spacious and had all the facilities we need. Also the location is very beautiful. The hospitality was very good.
Great location as we were visiting zipworld. Short drive into bets-y-coed. Beautiful views!
No issues.
The location was fantastic. Such a cute spot and perfectly situated to access lots of beauty spots. The cottage was so well kept, clean and cute, everything you need. I will definitely be staying here again.
The Pods and location are amazing, tucked away, lovely and peaceful but a stones throw from Betws y coed. The welcome gifts are a wonderful touch and hosts are lovely. I’ll definitely come back
Nothing
Was excellent all round. Vert warm, clean and cosy.
My only gripe wold be UHT milk but, fizz and chocs more than made up for it.
Lovely, quirky cottage. Great location for walks, easy access to amenities
Excellent location, excellent value for money and we will definitely be going here again. Fantastic
Location - quiet area still close to town and Zip world. Log burner - nice atmosphere and warmth on the cold winter nights. The host provides all necessary for a couple of days of fire.
Lovely quiet location. Nice touches in the cottage. Very clean. This is our second time there.
We had a wonderfully cozy and relaxing stay at Maes Madog Farm Cottage. The atmosphere was very pleasant and peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. The cottage itself is extremely well kept clean, comfortable, and truly cozy. A big thank you as well for the lovely welcome gift, which was a really thoughtful touch. We absolutely loved our time here and would happily return.
Everything! It's an amazing stay, lovely & generous hosts & a beautiful location.
There's nothing to dislike
The location is fab, the cottage itself is perfect for a couple.
Nothing!
The cottage is in a very peaceful area, however shop's and restaurants are within 5 minutes drive.
Bedroom could've been organised slightly better, then there would have been more room.
Lovely welcome treats, warm cosy cottage with excellent kitchen facilities
Little hidden gem on outskirts of Betsy Coed. Very comfy bed, clean rooms. All you need for couple of nights. Thank you for welcoming gifts. Would love to stay there again
The property is nestled in the countryside, super quiet and beautiful!
It’s at least a 40min walk to the main village, but, if you’re looking for a quiet stay it’s perfect - it’s only 5min drive if you do want to go
Everything needed for a comfortable weekend
Can’t fault anything
I firstly loved the look of the cottage on the website, and the star rating and reviews which were exceptional. All added up to me booking this beautiful cottage as a surprise for my husbands 60th Birthday. We only live an hour away so an ideal location, the photos of the cottage looked amazing but the views just looked stunning and so peaceful. Jane the owner was really quick at replying to any questions i had, and indeed met us on arrival. She had even gone out of her way and got him a lovely bottle of wine to celebrate with! My husband was absolutely blown away by the cottage. It was warm, inviting, cozy and just exactly what we needed after a busy week. The kitchen is first rate with everything you coukd need, the bed was huge (and my husband is 6"5'!) And so very comfortable. The bathroom is immaculate just like the rest of the cottage. It truly is a beautiful location and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Jane and Huw weve had the BEST time! We"ve recommended to all our friends and family
There's absolutely nothing I can say that we didn't like!
Log burner was great.
Location
Very nice, cosy, warm cottage Well equipped to high standards, everything we needed to have our stay comfortable Best bed and mattress!
This is our second time returning and was just a great as the first. Everything you needed was there. Great and peaceful location. Stunning views. Close to a lovely town. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
It was in a lovely rural location. The cottage was clean and cosy with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the welcome treats were a lovely touch. Plenty of space to park and very safe area.
It is an old property with beams and sloping ceilings upstairs which added to its charm but worth being aware of it you are very tall.
A beautiful rural location close to Betws-y-Coed and in the heart of Snowdonia
