I really like everything. The place and ambience are really outstanding. But what really stands out is the exceptional service they provide. They really looked after us well. All staff were very courteous and smiling all the time. I give them 10 out of 10.

Initially parking was a bit difficult but was fine afterwards. The shower didn't seem to drain properly (water didn't gravity towards the drain). The pool was unfortunately under maintenance/cleaning.

If you’re specifically craving Bicol Express, this is definitely not the place I’d recommend. The dish was underwhelming in both flavor and overall quality, especially considering the price being charged. What makes it more disappointing is that you can find far better Bicol Express experiences around town for a much more reasonable price. For a dish that’s supposed to showcase the bold, rich, spicy flavors Bicol is known for, I expected considerably more. The price simply doesn’t feel justified by what was served. If you’re staying at Marison Hotel and want to try Bicol Express, I’d honestly suggest exploring local restaurants in town instead.

Very nice, clean comfortable rooms, good buffet breakfast and great staff, plus a large parking space. Would llove to stay again.

When I booked a three-night stay at Marison Hotel for my family, traveling from the United Kingdom, I paid the full amount online. However, when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist informed us that we had to pay a ₱9,000 security deposit before we could check in. I was shocked because this requirement was never communicated to me during the booking process. If I had known in advance, I could have prepared for it. What if I hadn’t had enough money to pay the deposit? We would have been unable to check into the rooms that we had already paid for. Hotels should clearly inform guests of any required security deposit before they complete their booking to avoid unexpected surprises and inconvenience upon arrival.

Awful…There was an u expected security deposit that was never mentioned before I made the booking. since i paid through my international bank it takes time for the refund to be processed. You cannot check into the room you have alreasy paid unless u pay large security deposit This should be clearly states before booking to avoid unpleasant suprises…

Reception managers. I had a late flight with elderly mother and 9 year old child. I originally booked a deluxe twin with the assumption that adding 3 guests the beds would be 2 king beds or big enough for 2. Turns out, the twin room was with 2 single beds not suitable for 3 and was told the room could not accommodate any extra beds. Only option I was given was an "upgrade". The booked room price had an additional 14k on top of 13k paid. Which I initially didn't realise for the late hour and travel exhaustion. As I started to ask explanation of what was taken from my credit card that night (no invoices presented at any point) I was reassured by a reception gentleman that the transaction would only take 7k on top of what I already paid for. Today I got my credit card statement: 14k. Truly disappointing customer experience: was lied to about the charge. No transparency at all Beware of your booking if travelling in 3 in this hotel!

1. The confortroom(CR) very poor, no toilet paper holder! Very small and dirty! 2. Bed real very small, my first night I could not sleep😭 because bed is not confortable(too small) just like our 3 nights to stay 😭😭! Stress, sleepless! Never again to book this hotel!

The services and location are great. It’s clean, i love the smell of their rooms. The atmosphere/ ambience is calming, we had a great sleep. The food is also great. They are very accommodating. It’s value for the money. Overall it is great and we will surely return.

La clim trop forte et difficile à régler. Et comme souvent dans les hôtels philippins évitez les plats occidentaux qui ne sont pas très bon.

We book The Madison Suite Room which costs about 10,000 a day but the bed has a lot of black molds. My kids slept on the stinky sofa that was never cleaned for a very long time. They did changed the bed after 4 hours of complaining and continuous follow up.

Centrally located with great facilities

The best part of the stay was the friendly and helpful staff. They were always eager to help. The beds were comfortable.

Service was slow at the coffee shop- it took a long time for food to be prepared. The hallway carpets had a musty smell.

5 brownouts in the first night made showering next to impossible. The hot water turned cold each time too. Add to that, the shower smells like poop and it really dampens the enjoyment of the hotel. We reported the smell to Management and their solution was to put another shower head on the shower which did exactly nothing to solve the unpotable water that they are running through the building. If the water smells like poop and is not drinkable, maybe that is a sign that a large filtering system would be a good investment instead of just living with it. Its relatively clean minus a little mold in the shower that could have been cleaned up.

We liked the location and that the room has a view of the volcano. The staff generally were very friendly and really helpful.

Check-in staff interaction and favoritism in favor of non-filipino passport holders was not a good experience. Also there is a discrepancy on the breakfast allocation that we learned only on the second day. So communication about the rates, and benefits for future needs to really be improved.

Room was awesome but i think u should improve when it comes to food - we went to italian restaurant and we complain because of the under cooked chicken and Fish n chips we ordered was not fresh anymore Please maintain the cleanliness of the pool . We were supposed to swim but it was dirty

The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

As always, having awesome stay here. Great value for money and time. The location is so convenient to the city center. Staff are all friendly and professional. The room is clean and smells nice. Wifi is fast too - great for those working offsite. 😊

The housekeeping was very good and check in and out was efficient. The staff on the door and security were extremely helpful. The hotel is pleasant but could be so much better I would strongly recommend that the manager visits the Modala Beach Resort in Panglao to better understand how a hotel should function and how to train up responsive and efficient staff, particularly in the restaurants and bar

Restaurant service was absolutely hopeless, replenishment of food at breakfast was really tardy with a very limited amount of fruit, primarily water melon - it could have been so much better. There was a total failure to top up butter, jam and many of the cooked foods regardless of the time we attended. We tried various bars, one drink would arrive but not the others, two gins came but only one tonic, one meal would be served but not the others. This was the same across all the restaurants There was an unpleasant smell from the shower in our room and the drainage of the water was very slow I don’t think that the carpets in the corridors had been washed for a long time as they smelt We had to change rooms as we extended our stay and it was extremely difficult to get the staff on reception to tell us which rooms we were going to be moved to. Our niece, who was also staying had to move to the room next door for an additional night which seems ridiculous as nobody knows which room they will be staying in when they arrive

The shower gets flooded when you open the door. No privacy when changing clothes after the shower.

Friendly and attentive staff, especially Zie who fixed our tour arrangements and regularly checked on us to make sure all was going well.

I just wish the roofdeck was open in the early morning (instead of 11) when the chance of viewing entire volcano is greatest.

The staff were very helpful and nice Justin was taking care of us at the hotel he not only wanted us to have a great stay at the hotel but also tried to make our stay in town a pleasant one!

Location to town was good

The hotel was not clean. Rooms particularly the bathroom needed upgraded and given a thorough clean to get rid of previous residents hairs and mess. Breakfast provision was woefully and totally inadequate. Hygiene standards not observed. Ability of staff to respond to simple requests was lacking. Management presence and obvious training of staff was seriously needed.

I truly fell in love with The Marison Hotel because of its exceptional customer service. I was genuinely impressed by how polite, warm, and accommodating all the staff were, especially those at the check-in and check-out counters. They consistently made me feel at home whenever I needed assistance during my stay. The staff at Il Morso Restaurant were also very friendly and attentive. The breakfast selection was sumptuous, satisfying, and absolutely enjoyable. I loved almost all the dishes, especially the laing and Bicol Express. The only suggestion I have is regarding the bacon — I personally prefer it a little crunchier. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family, and I will definitely come back in the near future for another stay.

Good location, the staff very polite and couldn’t do enough for you

The room that we occupied was spacious and comfortable. It is a Family room and we could see the majestic Mayon Volcano from our window. We were also very fortunate because the volcano is very active and we could see the lava flow from our window. We also ate in the Chilo at the roof deck and the view of Mayon was breathtaking. This is our 3rd time that we stayed in the hotel and we love to come back again.

Readiness of the bathroom —- am sure they noticed tge bathroom sink waa clogged. This is very unsanitary.

The hotel is accessible. There are also restaurants at the hotel where you can choose to dine.

We would like to formally raise our concern regarding the significant disturbance caused by the noise from the water pump located on the top floor of the hotel. The sound was quite disruptive and, regrettably, my family was unable to have adequate rest throughout our stay. We reported this matter to the front desk, and we acknowledge and appreciate their prompt offer to transfer us to another room. However, we respectfully declined, as our 4-year-old daughter was already exhausted at the time, and relocating would have caused further inconvenience. We hope this concern may be addressed to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

We were enjoying our stay at Marison -nice rooms, good food, good service, however, we were surprised to find out that our breakfast wasn’t covered by the fees we paid even after the repeated checks we made while checking in. The error was acknowledged by their team, however, NO OFFER has been made to rectify this error, but rather, we, the customer still have to cover the costs. Reputable businesses often bear the cost of their mistakes, but I guess, not for Marison. Again, I’d say that it’s quite a nice place to stay, but the management needs to have the flexibility to cater for good customer service such as compensating for their mistake and not borne by the customer. We’re still at the hotel while I write this review and I await the hotel management response.

I had a great time, friendly and helpful staff, clean room

Location is good, easy to get too. There is sufficient parking for cars, plus you can also take a pedicab to the mall/ other areas. Near the hotel there are banks, a massage place, and restaurants. Breakfast is really good and filling, with a lot of regional food (really yummy) and a western food (just ok). The hotel also has several restaurants that serve good food at very reasonable prices.

Just note that water is not potable from the tap. I wish there were more water dispensers along the hallways. Also, the doors to the shower allows water to to go out when showering so the floor outside gets wet. This is a slip risk.

Our stay at The Marison Hotel was comfortable and truly pleasant. The staff were warm and accommodating, and we would like to give special recognition to Zie for her outstanding service. From our initial reservation inquiry to our arrival and check-in, she was consistently attentive and helpful—which is honestly rare to experience. We arrived tired from a delayed flight, but she made sure we felt comfortable right away and even took the time to ask how we were. That small gesture made us feel genuinely cared for and like valued guests. As first-time visitors, we also appreciated the insider tips she shared about places to visit and transportation, which made our stay even more convenient. Thank you, The Marison Hotel, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved this place! We go whenever we can. The food and service were excellent, and the atmosphere was very welcoming and charming.

The breakfast buffet was superb. Room was spacious with a great bed and good shower. The cocktail bar on the top floor was also excellent.

The advised time to return the room bond seemed lengthy. I think it was 10 -15 business days.

Dark room, multiple restaurants, free airport transfer, hot shower, A/C, roof top bar with volcano view, value for money

3.30am transfer to airport for 6am flight makes no sense! It only takes 20-25 mins, so you end up 2hrs at the airport for a domestic flight. There's no reason this first transfer can't be 4.15am. In hindsight we should have hailed a Grab car for PHP350 and slept in an extra hour. Location isn't within walking distance of anything, so you'll need to use Grab or trikes to visit downtown

We have been a regular guests in The Marison Hotel. We have booked a couple of times already, and this has been our third time booking here. On our first experience, Marison has left us with great impression in regards to their quality of service, quality rooms, and quality of food. Unfortunately this time when have booked here, 21st March and we checked out 25th March 2026, it was not as great as it was before. Couple of details we have experienced: 1.) We checked in late around 11 pm, however, the room that was given to us was still not ready. The AC was full of dust and dirt to the point that it was on for an hour and the room was not cooling at all. The toilet seat was dirty when we arrived, it was so disgusting as well. Someone from housekeeping checked it, then he called for the maintainance and he figured out that the air filter was full of dirt. Then we requested for a new room. In addition, stains in the toilet, carpets in hallways need to be cleaned. 2.) Not being too complacent, but, some of The Marison’s staff needs to be trained more on guest service, as it reflects the brands quality of service I enjoy the hotel Im staying who prioritizes guest service. 3.) Lastly About the Senior Citizen discounts - we were not asked during our checked-in whether we wish to avail the discount, and after checked-in, we came to know that discounts are available, however when asked, the attendant said only Senior ID is acceptable. We are aware that as per the revised policy signed by Congress, Senior discounts should be provided any establishments when presenting any other valid IDs like driving license, passport etc. and not limited to Senior Citizens ID only. Hence, no discounts were provided and the attendant advised that they will raise to their Supervisor, who will come only at 9am; we left the hotel without any guaranteed of positive feedback. We hope the Marison Hotel will pay attention and we hope to see improvements in future.

Very nice hotel by Philippine standards. Great breakfast spread with lots of options that vary day to day. Mix of Filipino and western dishes including pastries, bacon, eggs to order, and local dishes like laing and Bicol express. Get a mountain view room if you can. Mayon volcano was active when we stayed here in mid March 2026 and I took some awesome pictures of the streaks of glowing lava flows in the early dawn hours right from our room.
