TripGeo Guesthouse is an adventure. It’s a quirky space, done simply but effectively, and very different from the average kind of place. If you expect Standard Hotel, this is NOT the place for you. The old office building it’s set up in has a quirky old lift [or stairs], a dark hallway [motion detector lights], gorgeous old parquet floors, and feels a little foreboding when you first go in- but if you’re open to hostel situations, it quickly grows on you. It has five separate lockable rooms with shared immaculate bathrooms, is quiet and a good place to rest your head after running around town. The place is comfortable, low key, and an adventurer’s fun departure from the average kind of place. Additionally, Jose, the manager, is the nicest, kindest person I’ve met so far in Lisbon, knows everything about the city, and is big into geocaching- and if asked he will give you a fantastic city-wide tour you won’t get from any average tour guides.

The room was cozy and the hostel host was so helpful!

The host is friendly and gave lots of tips and wanted to help us. However, he was also constantly present in the building which means less privacy.

The hygiene is of this place is very bad. The room is not clean: tv remote was sticky, dust everywhere, dirty floors but especially the shared bathrooms. They smell like urine and are very unclean. Breakfast is a deal around the corner which you can buy yourself for 2,99 euros. Better to book somewhere else which is more expensive but also means less stress during your trip.

Great location (albeit a bit noisy because of the busy road), Aldi next door, comfortable beds, enough storage for clothes, helpful host.

Bathrooms could be in a better condition (e.g. moldy ceiling). The motion sensored lights in the bathrooms are really annoying (switching off after 2-3 seconds). Putting bins in bathrooms (especially for women) should be a basic requirement. No one can be expected to put used sanitary products in the bedroom bins (as the house rules state). This could also prevent toilet blockages (it happened during my stay).

The location is excellent, and the landlord is very nice! There is plenty of hot water for bathing, and the facilities are all very clean!

Perhaps a large sign should be placed outside the door to make it easier for tourists to find the location of the hotel.

Breakfast at the nearby was nice

Have issue with bedbugs in the hotel room where we stayed. It is touching my son’s health condition. I have spendings that come from mitigating the bedbugs from our personal belongings immediately after returning home from your hotel. Evidence has been documented and is available. Good location and breakfast. Modest room, but the landlord was very helpful with useful info and pointed us to a good, cheap local restaurant.

Maybe he should increase the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities.

Excellent séjour

Jose was an amazing, kind, and welcoming host. The room was spacious with a balcony. The bathrooms were neat and tidy as well!

The apartment was nicely furnished. Location isn't central, but close to three different metro lines making it good for explorers to depart in any direction. The bed, despite not being fancy, was actually comfortable. The host was friendly.

The apartment is dark because of the trees outside (I love sunlight). We had quiet neighbours, so no noise at night, but during daytime you can hear well through the wall, so if you're a cautious sleeper, then you might have troubles.

So far th worst experience on booking ever. The building where the house is located is dilapidated with trash at the entrance. When you enter the house ou have the feeling of being in small, claustrophobic and smelly environment. Everything is very dirty. Our dirty room with its dusty, broken window overlooked a small terrace covered with garbage. Such a lack of care for guests is very rare to find. Out of the planned three nights we stayed the first because we had to and then we escaped. We asked for a refund which was not given.

The apartment is close to city center. Owner is very nice and helpfull. He showed all locations to go near by and in the city. Apartment is clean and nice to spend time with family. We strongly recomend this place!

I would never use this place again. No instructions as to what to do on arrival, no lobby or reception area at street level. I was only able to get sorted because a resident was entering and assisted me in contacting the person supposedly on duty. The following things were advertised and non existent: Breakfast, terrace and in my case no television. Keep away

It was a very hot day/night so the fan was not enough to cool the room (though I understand the temperature was abnormally high).

Great location, everything can be reached walking. We travelled with a baby, with no issues whatsoever. The host is very friendly and gave us a lot of nice tips. If you're into geocaching this is the place to be

l could not believe that the owner of the hostal does not allowed The customer to use light in room on day time even in the such dark property.

Apartment was worse than it appeared in the photos. Even though we requested the entire amount, the „welcoming” guy was unfriendly and didn’t mention about the additional fees for a later check-in and the tax. The bathrooms and toilets were dirty and the furniture and floors hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

room was next to a common bathroom and I could hear every time someone was using the restroom. Luckily there was only one other person living there.

As soon as I arrived I noticed prominent stains on very old bedsheets. Additionally, there were heavy black droppings near the zipper of the mattress that is possibly indicative of bedbugs (percevejos in Portuguese). I didn’t risk stay long enough to find out as I was thoroughly dissatisfied with the sanitary conditions. When I pointed out the stains to the owner, he simply said I should sleep in the other bed. He also refused a refund, even though I left after less than 10 minutes after arrival. Overpriced and overrated without a thorough top to bottom cleaning. Avoid.

Really not much

We were late by 30 min, and the owner charged us for 30 euros for that even though he just live there. Always have to be quiet, a lot of people share the shared bathroom, and the owner was just not nice at the first. After that he was ok.

This was by far the worst experience ever in 3 decades of travel. We booked this place being a last-minute decision to go to Lisbon on a trip to Spain. Craziness started before we got there, the plane was an hour late so got a barrage of texts from the owner asking when we were getting there and that he wanted 30 euros for 15 minutes late check in, and in cash. Also, some 2 euros a night per guest fee in cash. The place is not a guesthouse, but a rundown personal residence of "CEO" Jose and he rents out 3 rooms. We were told we must share dirty bathroom with 6 other guests while our reservation showed private bathroom. Next morning, I went looking for "front desk" as it says in the description, and it was nowhere to be found. There was a cat in the owner’s room crying all night. I put Hotels.com on the phone so they could hear the cat that the "CEO" claimed did not exist. The toilet was loose, and the smell and stench of sewer and mold was everywhere. Next day we got up to go get breakfast and were followed by Jose. creeped us out completely. When we got back and felt someone had gone into the room and later found some stuff missing. We booked another hotel and left as soon as we could, of course hotels.com did nothing to correct any of the issues. We lost all the money for three nights plus 48 euros in cash. As we were leaving, the creepy owner kept looking at us from a shop across the road. It’s an abomination that this place is still offered on Hotels.com.

The host was reallyfriendly and he helped me with every and all the questions/problems I had. It's really close to a good bakery with amazing prices and only around 20 minutes walking from the centre. Very comfortable bed as well

The bathroom had a few hairs in the bath, but I guess it can be expected when it's a shared bathroom. Also there was a big stain/spillage on the floor next to the bed but apart from that really good.

in the heart of the city, good neighborhood, many shops and restaurants, public transportation nearby, it's nice to sit out on the balcony, helpful staff, I'd recommend it to travelers.

there is no kitchen at all, you can't even make coffee, there is no kettle or even a glass, nothing...it's a bit loud at night because of the street, but it's still ok

Great value stay for a group of friends. We had two twin rooms and one triple. All were comfortable and 2 had balconies. The bathrooms are shared but there were 2 showers and 3 toilets. All were clean. The manager, who lives on site, was very helpful and have us some food suggestions. The guesthouse is in a nice area and accessible from the airport by metro and the heart of the city is reached by nearby buses.

there are 3 metro stations that are near the place and lot of bus stops so you can reach all main tourist attraction easily.

i’ve booked a triple room with tree beds (for two adults) but we got double room with sofa. it wasn’t that bad but we were traveling with two child and when you put crib in the room there wasn’t enough place for that third bed. also, although owner was very kind I didn’t like him showing up all the time. I know that kids can be a little louder at the time but him “overwatching” everything made all of us even more nervouis. You get a coupon for breakfast in nearby bakery which is OK, but the choice is very narrow.

No noise from the street in rooms 4 and 5. Clean.

Not lying in the property description would make the whole difference. It's not 17m2, it's less than 12m2. Beds in room 4 aren't 90-130cm, they are 80cm. There is no "patio", but there is a ton of old furniture and some garbage outside window of room 4 and 5 instead. Also, it's only quiet if other neighbours are quiet. Doors aren't isolating sound, all locks are loud. And I definitely don't recommend room 1 since it's right across the entrance. 4 and 5 are the best (5 is sharing wall with a shower, so 4 is superior even though beds in 5 are 90cm wide).

Near the airport, convenient access to public transport, there are food shops nearby, and there are laundromats nearby, where you can wash your clothes for a few euros. Breakfast-you need to buy extra, but the food is good. The beds are comfortable.

The apartments are old, so the walls are made of paper, you can hear the neighbors snoring.😅 Ans it's very strange, but instead of pictures, there were just frames in our room, which were not even unpacked.😅

Great place to stay in Lisabon for this price. My room was nice and cosy. Very convenient location.

There is no self check-in and you will be charged 30€ to check you after 10 pm. which is apparently stated somewhere in the house rules, but I missed this info, so had to change my plan last minute. - Well you get what you pay for,. I only stayed one night and would not chose it for a longer stay.

The room was very cozy and clean. The host was super nice, responsive and caring! Felt like home 🥰 The breakfast was tasty and in a very pleasant cafe ☺️

The staff vas very friendly and my room was comfortable and calm (despite being in a busy street). I recommend this accommodation for couples and families coming for a short trip to Lisbon. It is less suited for longer business trips.

The host is living in the appartment and was setting rules which were nowhere written. I have never experienced that at any accomodation I had through Booking so far. I found it highly unprofessional. He is there to make problems without any effort to solve them. Apart from that the street is busy and loud in the night. First night there was only cold water in the shower and next day it was mud instead of water. I had to book another hotel for that night, as I didn't fell comfortable with the owner and the facility.

Wall mounted fan could not oscillate. Only a couple of power points in the room, they were not very secure. Beds not very comfortable.

L'immeuble est ancien et comme souvent à Lisbonne aurait besoin d'un gros rafraîchissement. Ce B&B est cependant très propre et la literie parfaite. Pas de VMC dans la salle de bain et donc une forte humidité permanente qui a permis le développement de moisissures au plafond : la salle de bains devrait donc être révisée. Rare à Lisbonne : une terrasse ou prendre un café ou son petit déjeuner. Sinon l'accueil est parfait, le propriétaire n'ayant pas hésité à se lever à 4h du matin pour mon départ à l'aéroport.

Quite and peaceful! Rooms very spacious and comfortable beds and having a balcony was another plus! Our host Sr. Rebeiro was very kind to wait for our late arrival and welcome us, and show us around the property! Gave us information as to the places to see and how best to travel around! Thank you Sr. Rebeiro and I would recommend TripGeo guest House to my friends and as for me I will surely stay there on my next visit to Portugal! Thank you

TrapGeo Guesthouse. Get out of it ! After years traveling abroad it was my worst experience in a hostel ever. First of all, this is not a GuestHouse it's Mr.Jose's private apartment. It was very unpleasant having someone sneaking over your daily activities, questioning the time you go to bed and even trying to impose places for you to go or things to do in Lisbon as if your presence in the house was a inconvenience. Secondly, the mattress is terrible, completely uneven, and after 7 days using the same sheet set, they offered us a new one, stained and ripped. Don't even try to use the kitchen, it's forbidden (the Lisbon police might fine the property!!! - yeah that was the excuse they argued). Despite the mold smell in the common areas (no sunlight at all), there's also a pile of garbage and mess in the backyard witch turns out to be a place entirely different from the pics. Our best moment there was the checkout!

Vi hadde bestilt et rom med eget bad, som angitt på nettstedet, men da vi kom frem var det ingen rom med eget bad, men ett bad for kvinner og ett for men for totalt 5 rom med 2-3senger. Det oppstod misforståelser rundt det som viste seg å være en lokal skatt. Selve rommet var komfortabelt og fornuftig innredet. Vi klarte ikke å få kontakt med lokalt wi-fi.

Clean. Good breakfast with eggs ham , rolls fruit, cereals.Coffee and cake whenever.Proprieter amazingly helpful and goes out if his way.He is strict about late night noise which is great.
