I had a room above the kitchen and the fumes from cooking came into the room from very early. They were so intense I could not sleep and fumes from cooking are actually toxic and the air pollution in my room I’m sure was above an acceptable level.

When I arrived I couldn’t find parking at the hotel. The staff were not helpful. I had to carry my luggage without any assistance from the casino parking which was very far from the hotel. The hotel prioritised giving customers that were there for the rugby match parking over their guests.

Our room was directly under monte casinos big screen so all the viewers chairs pointed directly to our window and the noise was loud. We also spilled something on the duvet and when asking for it to be changed the cleaner simply handed me a duvet cover so we had to change the duvet ourselves. The room layout is also not so private, with the bathroom room and bedroom being one.

I would request the ability to adjust aircon manually, and the room was small.

Limited amount of coffee and milk in the room - we could only have one cup each!!! The coffee was also poor quality! The duvet was uncomfortably heavy - a blanket stored in the cupboard would have been a better option for us.

The heating wasn't very effective, even when set above 25°C, so I was a bit cold. An extra blanket already in the room would have been appreciated as I was too tired to call at bedtime. I would also have liked a little more guidance about breakfast, e.g que starts here-request eggs there.
