Th breakfast and dinner were superb, one of the best japanese meal i have tried in this recent trip to Hokkaido. The location is also very strategic too.

Onsen is small as the property is small so we understand but we appreciate the natural hot spring water, it was wonderful. The cooler unit in the room is very noisy as without it bit warm so we have no choice but to power on it. And also the senior staff (quite elderly) is a bit rude, not very polite, unlike the rest of the younger staff.

This is a very traditional ryokan - the reason we chose it over a larger more commercial place - and as such it delivered the full experience. Yakutas and slippers are worn from the moment you arrive. The staff are delightful and getting by with a few Japanese basic phrases and their English is completely possible. You sleep on a futon in your spacious room which has comfortable seating. You have an en suite Japanese space-age loo and a separate vanity unit. There is no shower or bath because you use the onsen hot spring baths and associated shower for bathing. You walk down to that facility wearing your traditional outfit. So, as you can gather, this is for a very traditional experience, and this includes the food. The meals are very generous but they are very Japanese so you need to expect this. With all this in mind, and given this is what we wanted, the establishment is near perfect.

Nothing could be better.

It was our first time in onsen town, so we decided to stay one night in bigger hotel and one night in this smaller ryokan, and we never regretted it! Staying here was a memorable experience, the dinner was great, there were so many food that we couldn't finish it completely. We also were able to use private onsen for free. Public baths were on a smaller side but still good.

The only downside I can think of is that face towels that were wrapped in plastic bags had a bad smell so we didn't use them.

Нам очень понравилось жить в настоящем японском рекане. Красивый интерьер, любезный персонал, говорящий по-английски. Прекрасный онсен с волшебной водой. Пижамы и корзинки для онсена очень милые. Ужин и завтрак великолепны. 200м от остановки автобуса, 700м от адской долины. Рядом центральная улица, где много магазинов и кафе.

Не слишком удобно спать на футонах на полу, но это традиции, и такой опыт был интересным. Но в отеле также есть номера с обычными кроватями. В следующий раз, наверное, возьмём с кроватями, это гораздо удобнее.

A member of staff (bespectacled in beyond 50 years of age) was extremely impolite. After checking in, I went to fill up a bottle of drinking water in the lobby area in the water dispenser. I was halfway done but was then stopped abruptly when he shouted "stop!" He grabbed my half-filled bottle and filled it with water in a jug in the fridge behind. Other than "stop", he did not speak any English. I was taken aback by his rude tone and action which was uncalled for. The hotel was not very helpful to travellers. I asked for a small packet of coolant to be frozen in the main fridge of the hotel as the small fridge in the room did not have a freezer section. The same gentleman who shouted "stop" was not obliging at all.

Staff were amazing and the hospitality was great. Dinner was very high quality.

While I was at the hotel, I found about that guests can’t leave or enter after 23:00. This was not mentioned in the reservation or while checking in. I found that out in 22:45, when I was about to leave for a night walk, and then I was told I will not be able to return to the hotel after 23:00. This was very unpleasant.

Everything is perfect. I wish we could book the breakfast.

시설이 깨끗하고, 관리에 신경쓴 느낌이 많이 납니다. 직원들도 친절하고 안내도 잘해주세요. 바로앞에 편의점이 있어서 온천목욕을 하고 우유 사먹으로 가기도 편하고, 지옥계곡과도 적당한 거리라 산책코스로 딱입니다. 가장 좋았던건 온천이였는데, 크기가 작다는 후기에 조금 걱정이 있었으나 딱 적당한 크기에 온천이라 일본 느낌이 물씬 나면서 씻고 온천을 즐기기에 좋았어요.

아침식사가 조금 애매했어요. 속을 편안하게 만들어주는 음식이긴 했으나 조금 애매한 느낌이 들어서, 재방문을 한다면 저녁식사만하고 아침식사는 편의점이나 근처 식당에서 이른점심을 먹을 것 같아요!

Breakfast and diner are super. A traditional Japanse experience with a lot of small snacks. We really liked it. The hotel and the room are perfect. We liked the staff and the 'eye for detail'. We enjoyed both days.

服務人員親切，有回家的感覺；房間很大，住起來很舒服；個人湯屋有室內及露天，泉水水質很好，泡起來很舒服；晚餐跟早餐都很豐盛，物超所值。 唯一比較特別的是房內沒有沐浴設施，適合喜歡大浴場的朋友。

入住非常差，首先旅館非常舊，中央冷氣壞了，用一部座地冷氣取代，冷氣十分嘈，風口亦非常強勁，整晚都不能入睡。早餐的食物都非常簡單、晚餐都非常一般。一定不會再入住。

We chose this property because it's so much smaller than the huge onsen hotels in the area. The food was super delicous - we were very impressed with the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast seemed very traditional as well. My kids surprisingly ate pretty much everything at dinner. When I thought I had lost an item, the front desk person did call around to try to help me find it. It ended up being picked up and turned in at the police!

It does feel pretty dated - they don't have wall AC so it's piped in and pretty loud. The futons they use are thin and it was hard on our backs - there weren't extras we could stack under them. Overall the staff were courteous but not especially warm and definitely not chatty.

Onsen (hot baths) were great, clean not to crowded. Japanese style breakfast & dinner were delicious. Convenient location to Bear park, shopping districts, 7-11, restaurants. It is a small-medium size hotel/ryokan (24 rooms?), so feel more personal & cozy. Highly recommended.

No private shower in room but it should not be a big problem since guests can use bath at one of the private onsen or public ones.

The gentleman who was the night manager on 15th June. My son had some indigestion and vomitted in the room. The night manager helped clean the room and even gave us a different room for the night. He was really kind and helpful. The location is very good it's close to jigokudani and on the central street with shops right outside. They have a good variety and quantity in the traditional Japanese dinner. We only wish that the staff could guide and explain about the dishes so it would be a better experience for first timers like us. Also note that the last slot for dinner service is 6.30 pm and not 7 pm.

Airconditioner is functional only in August. It was warm in the room and we had to keep the windows open and curtains drawn to cool the room. The facilities on booking.com list airconditioner but do not mention that it's only available in August. Please update this in the listing.

Très bons repas. Emplacement très pratique près des commerces et des endroits à visiter. Accueil chaleureux. Établissement de taille suffisamment petite pour pouvoir bénéficier d'un accueil personnalisé.

Pas de salle de bains individuelle mais beaux onsens donc ce n'est pas nécessaire.

The style is very traditional. Close to everywhere in Hell Valley. Lobby is beautiful. Both indoor and outdoor onsen. The best is the full course dinner. So much food. From starter to soup to sides to main to desserts. Very full after the meal. Staff made prompt service recovery after a small blunder in house keeping. Good customer service.

Only can bath inside onsen bath area. No room shower facility. No option for only breakfast. Either half board or dinner. So we have to make our way back in time fir dinner from wherever we were.

This was a great stay in Noboretsu. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the location was great - easy 15 minute walk to Jigukudani (Hell Valley). both the public and private onsen were very enjoyable. Best part of our stay was the dinner. It was a delicious seafood kaiseki, but what was really "above and beyond" was that they substituted every single element with something special (ie,, not just some veggies) for my non-seafood eating husband. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

The fabulous and caring service from all hotel staff, good meals and comfortable onsen. Very good walking location to tourists spots and shopping street.

Great location. Superb reception and services throughout after checking in.

Pre-checkin service. We arrived early and wanted to leave our luggage at the hotel, then go out to have lunch. The staff told us to stop as we walked towards the reception area, pretty bluntly. We didn’t know what was wrong and later found out we couldn’t walked in the lobby with shoes. We then dropped off our luggage and escaped out of the premises, thinking whether we had booked the hotel incorrectly. Upon return after check-in time, the service we received was excellent, and we felt much welcomed.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The zen and peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner was excellent too

I enjoy our stay very much The kaiseki dinner was impressive and amazing, onsen was okay it was a bit small and crowded. Staff also very attentive.

It took one day before we were seated (after requesting) in a quiet location in the dining room.

We were looking for a stay at a small ryokan, not the huge mega hotels that you usually find at onsen towns so this was the perfect choice for us. The room was big, the futon was very comfortable, staff was very nice, food was delicious and the onsen was very small and always busy but this is normal at those places

The building is old and maybe asking for a bit of maintenance. It doesn’t look as old as it is in the pictures. Also amenities are very basic, we expected more amenities but just because we got more at other ryokans.

A typical Japanese Onsen Ryokan. Friendly staff, nice Onsen and whole place is well kept. The dinner and breakfast are delicious with beautiful presentation. The hotel is located in town centre. Highly recommended!

It was my family’s first night in Hokkaido and they were very impressed! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was the best rest they have had so far in Japan! The onsen was very relaxing and the perfect temperature. Thank you!

Zadbany i przyjemny ryokan. Kameralny i zadowalający onsen w obiekcie, pyszna kolacja i śniadanie. Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Nic nie brakowało, obsługa pomocna. Udało się bardzo solidnie wypocząć.

Na śniadaniu kawa z dozownika (chyba z koncentratu) zamiast z ekspresu ale to niestety powszechne w Japonii. Wszystko inne wybitne :)

Room is very spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi. Limited electrical sockets though. Very polite and courteous staff. Great breakfast and dinner at its dining area, its dishes are very nice. Hot spring is a bit small in size, but not crowded. Two convenience stores just opposite the hotel, and it's located along the main walking street, also not far from the hell valley. Nice gesture that we're allowed to leave our car at its parking lot after check-out to explore the town for a few hours before leaving. Compared to other properties around, it's value for money.

Room on a low floor facing the back with no view. Need to be patience as there's only one lift. It's actually located very close to the cable car station for the bear park, but it was closed for maintenance.

We loved the friendly vibe at this big, comfortable ryokan. The onsen included baths inside and out. Our room was spacious, although a little too warm at night for the thick quilts. The traditional dinner and lunch were highlights of a pleasant and relaxing stay. We were particularly appreciative of the happy, welcoming staff, who minded our luggage before check-in and after check-out, effectively giving us two full days for a one-night stay.

The temperature in the room was difficult to control - felt too warm for ideal sleeping conditions.

이 지역에서 가이세키와 조식, 대욕탕까지 이용할 수 있으면서 이 정도의 가성비를 보여주는 다른 료칸은 없는 것 같습니다. 두 끼 식사 모두 너무 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다. 약간의 추가 요금을 지불하면 가족탕까지 이용할 수 있는데, 실내탕에 노천탕까지 연결되어 있어 만족스럽게 이용했습니다. 위치 역시 도난 정거장에서 조금만 걸어 올라가면 바로 나오고, 편의점과 마트 역시 바로 앞에 나란히 있습니다. 직원분들도 너무 친절하십니다. 덕분에 홋카이도에서의 마지막 일정을 꿈꾸듯 아름다운 추억으로 가득 채울 수 있었습니다.

방음이 조금 아쉬웠지만, 이런 형태의 건축에선 감수해야 할 부분인 것 같습니다.
