Location is amazing. The staff are amazing. They are professional and friendly and seriously think of ways to go the extra step to make sure you’re comfortable. Room is comfortable and has a bit of a theme going on: loved the breakfast every morning the buffet had amazing selection to choose from that was quite large, both western and Asian cuisine. Everything was always clean and I have to say I appreciated the multiple bottles of water always left in the room every day!

The tablet next to my bed would always turn on at around midnight and flash every 5-10 minutes 😅

From the moment we arrived after a long flight, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service is excellent. Everyone is so attentive, kind, and genuinely caring, making us feel comfortable and looked after throughout our stay. We have stayed here several times and always return to the same hotel whenever we are in Seoul. It has become our home away from home in the city. After a busy day exploring Seoul, it is such a pleasure to come back to a place that feels elegant, peaceful, and familiar. 감사합니다. 다음에 또 만나요!

Die Unterkunft ist direkt bei der U-Bahn-Station Hoehyeon gelegen (1 Haltestelle von Seoul Station). Das macht es perfekt für Erkundungen. Die vielen Malls und Shops in Myeondong sind problemlos zu Fuas zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück (55'000 Won) bieter "europäische" und asiatische Optionen. Das Zummer ist schön eingerichtet und das Bett bequem. Definitiv ein Hotel, welches ich wieder buchen würde.

We absolutely loved our stay at L’Escape. The hotel was beautifully presented, clean and extremely comfortable, with excellent amenities and genuinely warm, friendly staff who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. A very special mention to Irene, the Lounge Manager, who was outstanding. Her warmth, professionalism and attention throughout our stay made our experience even more memorable. The location is fantastic - just moments from the station, making it incredibly easy to explore Seoul. Breakfast was excellent, and the stunning cocktail bar is well worth a visit. In our package we loved having complimentary lounge access each evening, with a fantastic selection of drinks and delicious food - the perfect way to finish a day exploring the city. A fabulous experience from beginning to end. We felt genuinely welcomed and very well looked after. We would absolutely stay at L’Escape again and highly recommend it.

My experience at Hotel L´Escape was very positive. From the moment I arrived, I received excellent service and was satisfied with my room on the 14th floor. The decor is so wonderful, and the main reason we booked this room. Overall, I had a great stay and felt very comfortable throughout. Me and my daughter stayed there together, a last night in Korea after a conference in Busan. We wanted to get a little luxury before going back home. I would certainly consider staying there again and I recommend Hotel L´Escape to anyone looking for a bit of luxury <3 We had dinner at Palais de Chine at the hotel and a cocktail on the top floor. Wonderful last night before heading home to Iceland on a looong flight.

Завтраки не пробовали, тяжело по времени адаптироваться, ранние завтраки) Но рядом есть торговый центр и там на -1 этаже отличная кофейня с европейской едой и вкусным кофе). Расположение удобное, от туристической улицы в 7-10 минутах пешком. Рекомендую.

Très bel hôtel, parfaitement placé pour faire à pieds tous les sites des palais, une promenade le long du canal, même le départ pour les excursions vers la Dmz (quelque soit le tour opérator) est à 10mn à pieds. Central station est à 10mn à pieds, et une station de métro est au pied de l’hôtel. Les chambres sont très belles, bien équipées, eau à volonté et mini bar free en première utilisation. Je n’ai pas pris le petit déjeuner La salle de fitness est très bien équipée egalement. Je recommande vivement

I paid 300 dollars for a 15 sq m bedroom with no view and no breakfast. When I told the manager she said I could leave the hôtel sooner if I wanted. Great cash machine, not much to do with hospitality

I have been here 3 times and if you look at my other 2 reviews I couldn't say enough good things about this hotel. When I checked in the girl at reception had an attitude, I wish I got her name. My foyer smelled so bad but the room didn't unless I was used to it. I didn't want to complain to the front desk who was already not very nice. Now that a big company like Marriott owns this hotel business people are using their points and it is not boutique or exclusive anymore. 3 kids were running in the halls at 1am and making a lot of noise, not acceptable. I do enjoy the bathtub, coffee maker and toilet. It is a good location. And I love the new toiletries. I visit Seoul every year but I may go elsewhere. I will miss this property.

L’Escape is entirely designed around the theme of La Belle Époque. We weren’t quite sure what to expect from this hotel, but as it is part of Marriott and very centrally located, we felt confident booking it. Hidden away inside a skyscraper, you step into a completely different world as soon as you reach the 7th floor. We now understand exactly what they mean by “L’Escape”! Everything is incredibly stylish and beautifully designed down to the smallest detail – even the elevator speaks French. We received such a warm welcome, and the extra bed for our third guest was kindly offered to us free of charge. The lovely gentleman at reception (Tim, I think?) immediately noticed how tired and hungry we were after our long flight and told us to hurry so we could still make it to Happy Hour. What a wonderful surprise that turned out to be. All the food was included and was generous enough to be a full evening meal, accompanied by delicious cocktails. It was exactly what we needed after a long journey and such a lovely way to start our stay. Our corner suite was luxurious and beautifully decorated in keeping with the hotel’s theme. Everything in the room is controlled by smart technology, while still fitting perfectly into the Belle Époque atmosphere. From our windows, we had a fantastic view over modern Seoul and its skyscrapers. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious, with a bathtub and Byredo toiletries. You can even borrow a Dyson Airwrap on request! And the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable. We have absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. In reality, it is even more impressive than it looks in the photos. The wonderful staff, the attention to detail and the perfect central location make L’Escape an excellent choice for a few days in Seoul. Thank you for making our stay so special!

The breakfast was expansive and there was no safe gluten free options, although they were promised to me - I checked it in advance, The staff dd not understand the contamination problem. The gym was great - big and well equipped.

There was a confusion with the room. We were arriving very early in the morning so I booked one extra night (one night before our stay) so we could rest after the trip. We could use this room only 2 hours as we could not stay in this room - and had to move to another one. This was really annoying. but we got a complimentary breakfast for 1 day as a compensation.

Superb hotel and outstanding high-quality breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and plenty of fresh water, coffee, and tea was provided daily. A great location within short distance from many atmospheric small streets and restaurants that we enjoyed exploring. Super restaurants also in the hotel itself. We would be pleased to come back on our next visit to Seoul.

Dim light in the corridors and outside the lifts as part of the atmosphere in the hotel could maybe be a little brighter. We arrived very late (1am) due to a flight delay, so there was no one on the ground floor when we arrived. However, the reception is actually on the 7th floor so a sign at the entrance could be helpful to guide us directly for easier check-in. Once there, it was all perfect.

We had a free upgrade which was very unexpected and so lovely especially as it was our wedding anniversary and I hadn’t even mentioned that on booking. The suite was divine and very luxurious. Bed was super comfortable too. Next time we would love to stay for longer!

Nothing we didn’t like. It was all amazing

We stayed at L’Escape Seoul as part of our trip and unfortunately the experience did not meet the expectations created when booking. The main disappointment was around the suite booking information. When making the reservation, the hotel website/app displayed “special benefits” alongside the suite information, which included wording that indicated access to the lounge. As a guest booking a suite at a luxury hotel, it was reasonable to understand this as an included benefit. However, on arrival we were informed that lounge access was only included with certain rates and not our reservation. The issue was not simply that a benefit was unavailable — it was the lack of clarity in how this was presented during the booking process. We felt misled by the way the suite and its “special benefits” were displayed. When we raised this with the hotel, unfortunately nothing was done to acknowledge the confusion, clarify the communication issue, or offer any goodwill gesture. This was particularly disappointing for a property positioned within the luxury hotel market. The hotel itself has a very distinctive design, with a French-inspired boutique style. While this will appeal to some guests, we found the overall atmosphere quite dark and felt more dated than luxurious. Compared with other high-end hotels we stayed in during our trip, it lacked the bright, welcoming feeling and attention to detail we had experienced elsewhere. The facilities were also disappointing. The gym was quite basic and did not feel in keeping with the expectations of a luxury hotel. In addition, we were surprised by the lack of visible environmental initiatives. For example, there was no convenient water refill station for guests, something we found to be standard in many other luxury hotels we stayed in. Small sustainability touches such as reducing single-use plastic and encouraging bottle refills make a noticeable difference and would have improved the overall experience. The front-of-house service was another area where we felt let down. Interactions often felt quite formal and distant rather than warm and welcoming. At a luxury hotel, the way guests are made to feel is just as important as the physical surroundings, and we did not experience the level of hospitality we expected. There were some positives — the suite itself was comfortable and the hotel has a unique character — but these were overshadowed by the booking confusion, limited facilities and the way the situation was handled. Overall, L’Escape Seoul has an interesting concept and could appeal to guests looking for a vintage boutique-style hotel, but our experience was disappointing. We hope the hotel reviews how suite benefits are communicated online, improves sustainability practices and focuses on creating a warmer, more guest-focused experience.

Luanna was extremely helpful and accommodating to our early 6am arrival. The hotel allowed us to hold our bags and luggage until our room was available. Luanna even kindly worked it out so we could check in early so we did not have to wait until 3pm. The hotel is beautifully decorated, professional amd friendly staff, and would highly recommend.

The hotel is located in very popular area for shopping, restaurants and etc. At the same time , the hotel is quite private located , beautiful French features and a very attentive and welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent with different cuisines. We will definitely choose this hotel if we are visiting again Seoul.

Please accept my sincere apologies for this belated review. Due to a demanding work schedule, I have only now found the time to sit down and document this wonderful experience. The primary purpose of our trip to Seoul was to celebrate my wife's birthday. After researching various review platforms, I chose L’Escape, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Seoul Myeongdong, primarily drawn by its excellent location and strong reputation. Our stay proved to be an exceptional experience that far exceeded our expectations. The exceptional service began even before we arrived. At noon two days prior to our arrival, I realized I wanted to prepare a special surprise for my wife upon check-in. Although I had not previously contacted the hotel directly, I left a message via the Marriott app. To my pleasant surprise, I received a reply from Lucas within minutes. Not only did he promptly help me arrange for a beautifully curated floral arrangement, but the hotel also thoughtfully provided a complimentary chocolate birthday cake. I am deeply grateful for Lucas's meticulous attention to detail and high level of professionalism. To ensure the surprise remained a secret, I specifically requested discretion during the check-in process. Upon our arrival, George, who assisted us at the front desk, executed this request perfectly. He tactfully guided my wife and our traveling companion to the lounge for drinks, allowing me to complete the check-in process seamlessly at the desk. He also confirmed that the flowers and cake had already been set up. The moment my wife opened the door, the surprise I had hoped for was perfectly realized. The remainder of our stay was equally delightful. The housekeeping was meticulous, maintaining the room flawlessly. Regarding dining, both the restaurant offerings and the room service were excellent. Given the summer heat in Seoul, we found genuine satisfaction dining within the property. The room service, in particular, was reasonably priced, delivered promptly, and the food temperature was perfectly maintained. In terms of design and aesthetics, L’Escape is truly impressive. The overall decor is classic and tasteful. The unique tree installation on the 7th floor is particularly striking; it compelled me to take out my camera to capture its artistic presence. This brings me to my second suggestion: because the property is so rich in artistic details, providing a small printed guide or offering a brief welcome tour explaining the history and inspiration behind these installations would greatly enhance the guest experience. Furthermore, the Marque d'Amour bar upstairs is another major highlight. Albert warmly and professionally introduced us to their signature cocktails, and every drink we selected was of the highest standard. I later learned that the bar was founded by a legendary Italian mixologist. Missing his monthly residency was our only slight regret. If a friend were to ask me where to stay in Seoul for a special occasion, I would highly recommend this property without hesitation—though I would advise them to prepare for a uniquely moody, boutique aesthetic rather than a traditional, brightly lit hotel. Overall, I sincerely thank the hotel team for creating such beautiful memories, and I look forward to the opportunity to return to this charming property in the near future.

Everything was top-tier, this hotel exemplified quality customer service at every moment. I really appreciated the finer details as well and it was truly a cozy experience. At times, I didn’t want to leave my room, that’s how nice it was to me. The breakfast was really good and the staff was super supportive with everyone greeting you nonstop. Not applicable but something that would take it to the next level would be using contemporary artists who channel older style artwork with representation of societies today.

From the minute we set foot in the hotel our stay was amazing. The room was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The shower and bathroom were huge and the vibe was overall fun. The staff were very helpful. Every evening there would be a little memo left on the bed at turn down service with the forecast for the next day and a suggestion for music to listen to in the room or evening stretches to do. The breakfast was also extraordinary. We loved our stay!

The location was a bit tricky for us, it being our first time in Seoul, it is easier to get around on buses from the hotel rather than on foot.

This hotel is one of our favorites in the world, this is our second visit. And we have now stayed in both the Atelier and Corner Suite with both being more than enough space for two people. The Atelier suite was great for a two-night stay. The design is unique and fun, a French theme with super high-quality items. It’s a tad smaller than the corner suite and the views are a little less based on location within the hotel. Grounds are immaculate with entry on floor one and check in and core hub on floor 7 The breakfast is great and the happy hour is still one of the best in the world. I was a bit worried corporate Marriot would take over and mess things up – luckily, they seemingly haven’t. All of the options are still there, incredible variety of whiskey, champagne, any liquor you can imagine and it’s all paired with enough high-quality food to be enough for dinner. Just a great place, give it a try.

We are travellers in our 60s and wanted accommodation that offered cosiness and a feeling of warmth after exploring the sights and this hotel was the only one that we could find in Seoul that offered this. We stayed here twice, 5 nights at the start of our holiday and 3 nights at the end, and we loved every minute. The room was fantastic. Olde world comfort. Its location was excellent as well, close to the market, and subway making it easy to get around. It was wonderful retreating to the hotel after walking all day!

The location of the hotel was great, right in the heart of the city, and walkable to all the tourist spots. The hotel itself is so elegant and the rooms are top notch. The attention to detail makes it feel like you are in an old Parisian hotel and for great value. The rooms are clean and you don’t hear anything from the busy streets. The staff are also attentive, and will give amazing dinner recommendations especially George. The gym was also very nice, and felt like I was at home!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is beautiful and the whole place feels very comfortable. The staff at reception were so nice and welcoming.
