it didn’t look like in the pictures. in reality the room wasn’t super clean, the bathroom was dirty and there was mold in the shower.

Reception, we cant ask anything because of the language barrier. But otherwise it’t the value that you paid for just to sleep on

Property at the central of hanoi. Lot happening around. We loved the walks around. Very friendly staffs. Lift access.

Smaller space however nothing complain with this price. We had pleasant short stay.

L’emplacement etait super, dans une petite ruelle à quelques mètres des centres d’intérêts. Le personnel y etait très sympathique. La chambre etait correcte mais ne ressemblait pas aux photos booking…

Un petit déjeuner est mentionné sur booking avec photos + points forts de l’hotel, a notre arrivée rien de tout ça..

Staff was friendly and helpful and facilities were clean.

I was expecting a room with a window, bathroom needs to be renovated and the bed need to be change.

The location of the property is amazing. It’s centrally located and is walking distance from all major attractions in Old Quarter

The standard delux room was very small with barely enough space to walk around. The bathroom had a bad smell, the staff took care of it once we complained by the smell came back in a few hours. The lobby was cement bags and there was drilling noise from 8am in the morning. There was also a power cut with no generator for 2 hours. The other rooms also had smelly bathrooms but the rooms were bigger.

Not the cleanest, our floor was covered with dust due to constant building work and drilling above us!

The rooms were small, smelly and unclean with condensation stains on the walls, blood? stains on the sheets and rank, yellow pillows. The airconditioning did not work. The bathroom was full of drain flies. Needless to say, we tried to immediately check out but were still charged for the night. There are nicer, cleaner hotels nearby at a better price. It's not cheap but it is awful.

The staffs were really kind and so helpful. The location was pretty good, nice cafes and food places near the hotel, 10-15 mins walk to the old quarter area. Very busy and energetic during the day and lots to see for tourists, but quiet at night which was nice.

The hot water didn't come out from our shower at first. But as soon as they saw the problem, they gave us a new room!

Valuable price. Good location, many restaurants and spas nearby. Workable air-conditioning.

Lived on 8/F. The room was not as spacious as expected nor as the pictures showed on the booking site. Small window. We have two single beds, both of them were stained. Beds were normal though. The quilts were placed separately in the cupboard, no quilt cover provided, again used and stained. We did not dare to cover them on our bodies. The ventilation was below average, you can smell the cooking from everywhere around the neighborhood. If you are fond of oily smell just come for it. The walls in the room were stained too. TV was not workable. You can tell the whole room was used for long time. The shower was fair, mold was all over the edges of shower, water flow was weak, but hot water was still functional. The flush of toilet was not functional, in an almost broken state, you can’t flush the toilet with that handle. There was no toilet paper rack to hold the roll of paper, they only left it on the top of toilet. Overall, if you are looking for budget living, you came to the right place, it’s worth 800000vnd/night after all. Warm reminder: do not ever trust the photo offered by hotel themselves

It was very cheap and in a good location.

The rooms are the size of shoeboxes and those without windows were just unbearable. Please stop using wide angle lenses to make the rooms look bigger than they are. This is ok for travellers on a budget who need a place to crash but we were looking for something a bit more comfortable and were sorely disappointed. We checked out after two nights (we had booked for 4).

Friendly staff, perfect old quarter location, loved sitting on the balcony, AC blows cold.

Room was a good price especially given how close it was to everything.

Our room had very poor/non existent air conditioning. We mentioned it to the staff during our stay and they provided a fan to help but inevitably was still too hot. May have been a room specific problem but affected our stay significantly. We also tried to get some local recommendations from the staff for various things, but due to the language barrier, the staff weren’t able to assist much. Minor issue and translate did help a bit but was still time consuming. We tried to get a room upgrade 2 minutes after arriving in the room as it was a bit small but we were told no instantly by the reception staff. I then had to ask again and he proceeded to contact the manager only for him to come back and provide a figure 30% than the price listed for the room on booking.com.

I was a bit shocked upon arrival to find no external window and room very small. When I raised with the manager he seemed to agree that whilst the description included “this room has small windows”, this was not correct and felt misleading - Our room had no windows at all, which I did struggle with as there for 4 nights. Having said that, it was good in all other aspects and did what it said on the tin - cheap, well located and clean. Nothing the manager could do for me as it was fully booked so we managed, he was so nice that I just let it go.

Good hotel in very good location center town, few minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake. It is right behind the cathedral; street has little traffic. Balcony rooms are a great choice. Room and bath were well kept, functional. Convenient if you don't want breakfast included - there is plenty of choice outside! Would stay there again.

Walked in and got a room straightaway. Paid 1.1m VDN Large spacious clean and bright room. All amenities included. Room was rather cold at night. Thin bedding. Next morning foung heavier duvet in wardrobe. Nice staff and helpful. In the heart of old quarters and everything. Close to train street and Cathedral.

Location was excellent, especially for the value. Bed was comfortable. Noise from the cathedral didn't bother us too much.

The facilities did feel used, however it did not bother us as we did opt for very budget option.

The staff was nice. I thought it's was only person but I think they are twins or they just look alike. hehe

This hotel is located near St. Joseph Cathedral, you can see it out your window. It is located on a quieter street. Lots of good restaurants and shops in the area.

Room 503 bathroom has a constant unpleasant smell, it will be perfect if it can be improved. The other room we have stayed in the same hotel hasn't got this problem and is perfect.

Location was good. Bedroom was dirty. There were stains on the wall and the bed backboard. There was a poo smell when we walked in and the bathroom was filled with mould.

Great location. Bus from the airport dropped us off and it was a 5 minute walk (maybe 5-10 minute walk) from the bus stop. Lots to see near by. Staff were friendly and helpful. Comfy room, strong aircon, great place to stay.

Balcony room is lovely and confy. The location is amazing, walking distance of everything in the old town and the staff is kind.

Cleaning of shower drain was not properly done upon arrival.

The Galliot was an excellent hotel in the heart of Old Quarter making getting around an absolute breeze. The facilities were clean and tidy and staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Would absolutely stay here again when next in Hanoi.

The property was in a great location. Such cute alleyways and cafes surrounding it. And not as hectic as near beer street / backpackers .

The beds were hard and bathroom needed a good clean . The room itself was clean though .

Next day I could go to the room I actually booked and it was very nice. All clean and the bedsheets and towels in good condition and clean. It had a balcony and the soundproofing actually works in this hotel. I loved, that they had heating, when I was there, the outdoor was freezing and it was a bliss to have warm hotel room :) The stuff is great, they dont speak english but using a translation app, everything works out just great. Very helpful and nice people. Every facilities like water and toilet paper were provided, the location is superb, just next to St.Joseph church and in the middle of old quarter. Many food stands and restaurants, coffee shops etc availiable 24/7. So, I'd recommend you to ask a room with a balcony for your great experience.

I had to book extra night since I arrived a day earlier. This room was horrible, it had no window and smelled like a mould. The bin was full, the toilet paper roll almost all used :( Bedsheets and towels in horrible condition.Due to humidity there were some flying bugs, luckily they werent mosquitos. So I would recommend you to avoid the room 201.

Location was great! Convenient and very central to anywhere within old quarters. The cathedral as a landmark was excellent.

Staff was efficient and friendly but limited communication beyond the standard check in and out due to language barrier. Had to use Google translate to communicate but eventually all worked out.

Amazing convenient location. In a gorgeous little street next to St Joseph’s cathedral.

Was a little noisy but it was New Year’s Eve. Other nights it is quiet.

Very convenient, comfortable and awesome shower. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony. It was lovely to sit and people watch.
