Great hotel, parking convenient and lovely area.

I use a mobility scooter and everything at the hotel especially the staff was appropriate for my needs. A lovely atmosphere.

It could have had more self-opening doors.

Location - and that was it. Staff were friendly

The hotel is vast, open and has no personality. The bar was badlly stocked (no tonic water, poor wine menu with many item not available). Apparently they were in the middle of changing stock. The evening meal was the worst I have ever had. Both starters were uneatable. My carpaccio was rancid and dark brown in colour. I actual spat my first bite out! My wifes crab was served boling hot with stale bread. The crab tasted off. The main course was no better. Slow cooked short rib should fall off the bone. We both needed a hack saw and it was full of gristle - both dishes were sent back. We refused to pay for our dinner. No complaints from the manager of the restruant so I assume it is part of the course. 2 of the 3 charging points were not working. Had to park in a disabled spot to charge ... that stopped working half way through the charge. The price paid was very high for a low rate hotel.

I would have liked a bit more storage in the room for clothes. Although there was some hanging space there was a lack of drawers for underwear etc.

Parked the car for two days, with their agreement. Location was excellent, an easy walk to the cricket ground. The hotel was very well presented, the bedroom impeccable & clean. Bar food was satisfactory & sensibly priced.

I could not order a coffee from the bar or room service untill 9am unless I bought breakfast. I thought this was ridiculous. They had the machine behind the bar (bar was open) but they would not let me but a coffee before 9am.

Mirror had a fake eyelashes left on the base, decorative pillow was in the middle of the bed when we checked in. Bathroom in the suite was very nice and clean

Location is perfect for visiting university for an event. Food was relatively good. Free parking is a bonus. Room was spacious.

Bed/mattress was too soft and uncomfortable. Extra bed for the kid was very basic camp cot and it costs 30£ extra per day and was super uncomfortable. Breakfast can’t recommend as there is no omelette currently available. Otherwise it is very basic/standard breakfast.

The hotel is situated in a peaceful and pleasant area, surrounded by University of Birmingham buildings and plenty of greenery. The location was very convenient for us, as all the places we visited were within approximately a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The main hotel building appeared well equipped, with all the expected facilities and plenty of staff available. Our bathroom was spotless and provided with suitable toiletries. We did not really have any meals at the hotel, apart from ordering some fries and olives when we arrived. These were nicely presented and were good for a light snack.

Our Deluxe Room was located in a separate historic building directly opposite the main hotel building. While the building itself has character, there were no staff based there, which made it feel rather empty and lifeless. There was a seating area downstairs, but the lights were not switched on, which made the space feel gloomy and unwelcoming. The lift also felt quite crude and uneven in its movement. The room did not have centrally controlled temperature or air-conditioning, which would have made the stay more comfortable. The bed was advertised as an “extra-large double bed”, but in our experience it did not feel particularly extra large. I appreciate that perceptions of bed size can be subjective, but it was smaller than we had expected based on the description.

This is a superb location if you are watching Cricket at Edgbaston. Lovely surroundings, surprisingly good food and beverage options, comfortable rooms with great showers. Breakfast is excellent. Free parking on site

The restaurant duty manager’s attitude towards guests that arrived few minutes to close of breakfast. Unnecessary aggression and rudeness.

The staff were so lovely and let us check in early. They were also so helpful with information about the swimming and gym facilities. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good (especially the veggie sausages being out instead of needing to be ordered).

Didn’t find the bed that comfortable. Prefer a firm mattress . Leaving a bill under the door waking us at 6 am I felt was a bit much - this could have been settled on check out without a notification under the door so early for the price of breakfast added on. There was a loud noise wedding on in the building across from the main hotel which was very noisy and kept us awake past 1 am on the Saturday night.

Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was first class with good selection of lovely fresh and cooked food. Restaurant meal was excellent in the evening. Good parking facilities.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. I arrived exhausted and overwhelmed after my suitcase had gone missing, and they were incredibly kind and understanding. They even offered me a drink at the bar on the house, which was such a thoughtful gesture after a very stressful journey. The room and the bed were both extremely comfortable, and I slept very well. Breakfast was honestly the best I have had so far in the UK — excellent quality and a really good selection. Overall, I felt genuinely looked after and would happily stay here again.

This is an oasis of calm in a busy city. Breakfast is exceptional, bar food has a range of vegan options and staff will do anything to help.

Stayed at Edgbaston Park Hotel with a friend as part of a weekend in Birmingham, exploring the local craft beer scene around Bournville. We had a really enjoyable stay; the hotel was lovely and clean, our room was comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and I really enjoyed chatting with them. Their warmth and genuine friendliness made the stay feel that little bit more special. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Birmingham.

There was nothing anyone could dislike.

From the train station at Birmingham New Street it cost us £7 by UBER to the hotel. The EDGBASTON Park hotel was very clean with comfy bed and the staff were very approachable. We were due at the Harborne Hospital at 7am and was not allowed to eat, so cannot comment on the food at the hotel. We chose this hotel as it was reasonable priced and was the nearest to the hospital. Very good value for money would definitely recommend…

A hotel within the campus of Birmingham University with plenty of parking and set in a leafy suburb. A new hotel with an atmosphere of a Convention Centre hotel that can accommodate large groups without noticing that they are there. Professional and friendly staff with good quality offerings. There is a restaurant that we never had a chance to sample but we did have a beacon bap for breakfast in the bar area which was excellent and just enough. The rooms are a little darker than we would have liked but it was not a problem for us. Everything we needed was in the room including tea, coffee, and also air conditioning. We would have no problem returning.

For evening food choices, perhaps have a few 'child friendly' options.

A fantastic hotel, which exceeds all expectations of what you would expect from a university campus hotel. Excellent bar, restaurant and breakfast. The rooms are larger than usual and very comfortable and in this occasion I stayed in one of the very special rooms in the oiter buildings. It was a beautiful and very comfortable room with a sofa and armchairs. Exceptional and the staff are all very warm and helpful.

It would be helpful to have some more vegetarian and vegan options. Pizza and Burgers are not something I would order from a health perspective.

Edgbaston Park Hotel was much more modern than we expected which we liked. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was a massive bonus as it was extremely hot during our stay (35C). Parking was readily available and easy to use. We didn't make use of the bar or restaurant so can't comment on that, but the dining space looked relaxed. We used the hotel as a base for the European Athletics Championships at the Alexander Stadium and it was perfect for that.

The room service and cleaners were overly keen and we had many knocks on the door before 10am!

Clean.Located 30 minutes walk from Edgbaston stadium,where I was going.Room was easy to get to,and very clean with everything you would expect.Noise free room.But all the staff I encountered were very,very, friendly and helpful,so much so it did leave a lasting impression with me.

We had an apartment for a 6 night stay. The facilities were very good save for a couple of minor irritations. Very clean and well presented.

Clean and plenty of places to sit inside and out. The Staff were very helpful. Plenty of parking and it’s free. We were there when the eclipse happened and had a very good view.

We came late at night and the air con was blasting in our room. It was freezing and we could not get the heater part to work so just had to wait for the room to reach a normal temperature. Staff member was very helpful though.

Don’t book a deluxe room, the general hotel looks modern and nice, I booked a deluxe room expecting that experience but then found out it’s a separate “vintage” building which has no air conditioning, no reception desk so members of the public can enter as they wish and I woke up to staff trying to get in my room at 9am (not the check out time), the “vintage” building also came with the typical smell as well which wasn’t great, if I was to go here again I’d not pay extra for a “premium” room and just get a normal twin or double which is likely much better.

Location suited me and the room was cleaned well. It felt safe there.

Poor value for money, room was small, there was no fridge and one small water considering it was the hottest day of the year. Staff were not that helpful and I struggled to find the gym and the gardens and a coffee shop. Given the price I had much higher expectations. The bed linen and pillows were very poor standard.

Als erstes bekamen wir ein Zimmer, welches eiskalt war (16 Grad) und die Klimaanlage sich auch nicht höher einstellen ließ. Außerdem war ein lautes Brummen zu hören. Nach unserer Meldung bekamen wir ein Zimmer, in dem die Klimaanlage funktionierte und wir auf "Heizen" einstellen konnten. Es fehlten Haken an den Wänden im Bad. Das Fenster ließ sich nur ein Spaltbreit öffnen. Durch die schmalen Fenster und die Gardinen, die man nicht zur Seite ziehen kann, ist das Zimmer eher dunkel.

The music in the breakfast room was too loud and not conducive to a peaceful experience. We took refuge outside which was much more pleasant . Food itself was good. Lighting in the bedroom is very poor. No lighting over any of the mirrors. Hotel sent us directions to reach the hotel without any options for public transport.

We had a delicious meal in the 1900 restaurant. We were very well looked after by Libby & Jasmine who were efficient, polite, cheerful and made the whole experience a pleasure.

We booked a double executive room at the Edgbaston Park Hotel for three nights because my wife was due to have surgery at a nearby hospital the following day. As we live around an hour and a half away, staying nearby seemed the most practical way to make visiting easier. We found the bed uncomfortable on the first night, but managed to get some sleep because we were both very tired. My wife was in hospital on the second night and, as I was less tired, I found the bed much harder to tolerate. The mattress felt worn and sunken in the middle, with an uneven mixture of lumpy and very firm areas. Faced with a third night of discomfort, I decided to go home instead; even the additional three-hour round trip to visit my wife seemed preferable. When I checked out late in the afternoon on 9 August, I explained the problem with the bed to the receptionist. She was sympathetic and offered to speak to her manager about a possible refund. I then spoke to her colleague, who asked me to explain the problem again but showed little interest in resolving it. Her manner was neither sympathetic nor particularly helpful. Tired and sleep-deprived, I did not wish to continue the discussion, so I left and decided to set out my experience in this review. Apart from the uncomfortable bed, the hotel itself is very pleasant. However, the bar prices are eye-wateringly high and the food was distinctly average. Given the poor night’s sleep and the unhelpful response when I raised the issue, I would neither stay here again nor recommend the hotel to others.

The evening meal was really lovely, and LIBBY, the maître d', was fantastic. She bent over backwards to please us. She was shadowed by a young trainee, and she was really good too. It was her first shift on the evening dining. This young lady was also attentive, had a lovely smile, and wanted to please us. The breakfast was also very good; however, the plates were side plate size, and it was impossible to get one of everything on. I have a small appetite. I just had one piece of bacon, a fried egg, one hash brown, and a spoonful of baked beans, and these barely fitted onto the plate. Though it was delicious, it was not worth the money. That was the only reason why I gave a score of 9 instead of 10.

Lovely building and decor. Clearly someone with a brain designed it. Gym and 8 min walk. Right in. the heart of activity for Birmingham University. Next to Edgbaston Golf Club and Edgbaston Priory Club. Easy access to trains and electric charge points. Fully secure car park.
