The location is excellent—right across from a canal in a charming, walkable neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. Elina is a responsive, friendly host who made us feel very welcome! Highly reco Men’s.

Eline was an absolutely magnificent host throughout our entire stay in Amsterdam. She helped us navigate the ticketing process at all the major museums. And she helped us purchase train tickets to our next destination. We couldn't ask for a better host. The location was also perfect--right on the beautiful canal and close to all the action. Yet quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable. I can't remember sleeping on a more comfortable bed in all of our travels. We will be back as soon as possible!

The location is fantastic close to transportation, restaurants, shops, and attractions. The home is very nicely appointed.

There isn’t a lot of air flow and it felt a bit stuffy.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in einem B&B und haben wohl direkt das große Los gezogen. Die Vermieter waren so lieb und zuvorkommend, sowas erlebt man selten. Die Lage war so schön, das Zimmer gemütlich und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Extrem (!) sauber, wirklich! Wir hatten Außentemperaturen von 34 Grad, das hat leider nachts einen Nachteil, weil kaum frische Luft ins Zimmer zu bekommen war. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage durch den Denkmalschutz. Es gibt aber einen sehr guten Ventilator. Trotzdem sollte man das wissen. Wir können das aber nicht als negativ bewerten, weil man dafür eben in einem der schönsten Viertel von Amsterdam wohnen darf, mitten im Herzen und mit viel Herz ! Und das Bett war auch super bequem. Für jeden, der das originale Ambiente liebt und eine wunderschöne Unterkunft sucht, ganz klare Empfehlung!

Great facilities with lots of extra touches, nibbles, treats, refreshments in a chilled fridge, wine, lovely coffee and great toiletries..and more. The large bed was sooo comfortable. Our hosts Erine and Erik are lovely and so welcoming to their charming and perfect gem of a property in the centre of Amsterdam. They provided us with everything we needed for our stay and we are extremely grateful. A real home from home. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Milkhouse. The service was amazing first and foremost, incredibly welcoming and helpful. The location can't be beat. You are in the heart of the city, but on a quieter street with a canal. The room was very well thoughtout with lots of cool amenities and fun surprises. We enjoyed the discovery of these things, so I won't spoil them. Oh, and the bed was amazing! If you are a frequent traveler you know a nice bed, and this one was incredible. It was the only bed that I slept well on in my entire trip. It was a real luxury with plush pillows and all. We definitely recommend staying here during your trip to Amsterdam!

We were extremely happy with our stay at Milkhouse. The hosts Eline and Erik were extremely helpful and nice. The location is excellent and Eline helped us book a parking place as we came by car. They also recommended restaurants and we had an excellent meal at the Italian place next door. The bed was very comfortable.

Lo malo es que es algo pequeño el espacio, no tiene closet entonces tienes que ser muy cuidadoso de tu ropa, y no tiene mucha luz natural, el baño tampoco tiene espacio para colocar tus cosas.

So special to stay in a canal house in Amsterdam. Our hosts were exceptionally kind and hospitable. Beautiful luxury accommodation within walking distance of top sites and restaurants.

Excellent stay! Hosts were lovely, breakfast was lovely at bagel and beans cafe, where you get a voucher card every day. Restocked mini bar each day and snacks in room along with bottled water. We have nothing negative to say. We arrived for my partners 40th birthday, room was decorated with balloons and little treats on arrival. Excellent location. We would definitely love to return. We walked everywhere every day and evening loved every minute!

We received a wonderful welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The location was perfect for getting to all the attractions, especially with the tram stop only 50m away. The accommodation itself was of the highest quality, with all the little things thought off, including drinks and snacks. We cannot recommend the Milkhouse high enough to make your trip to lovely Amsterdam even more special.

The hosts and the space were wonderful.

"Charming" room and we loved the location on the Keizergracht. It was a particularly exciting spot to be for King's Day and a very convenienbt location overall. Eline left thoughtful resources each day. For instance, she left an amazing book on the Rijksmuseum which we had a chance to look at before we went. It really enhanced the experience when we saw the works in the Gallery of Honor in person. Daily candy bars and a free mini-fridge were also very nice touches. The room was very clean, interesting, and well maintained and it was pretty cool to be in a historic canal house.

Having a dresser or more places to store clothing would have been helpful. Having three open suitcases for several nights made the room feel tight. Granted, that's one of the tradeoffs of such a charming, historic place. Also, if you are considering staying there, be aware that there are three steps from the street-level door into the room. We were able to negotiate them without problem, but they may be challenging for older guests.

Outstanding room with so many luxury touches. Eline was a SPECTACULAR host! She greeted us personally and offered an in-depth orientation to the property, with lots of helpful recommendations for places to explore in Amsterdam. The location is incredible, right on the canals near the picturesque Negen Straatjes. The room was so well maintained with a very comfortable bed, modern shower, and generous mini-bar (with wine, beer, tea, coffee, snacks). I could not recommend this place more highly!

Owner is very friendly and provides everything you need.

Our room had the wonderful bed that many prior reviewers had noted, but there was much more to love about our stay at the Milkhouse. First and foremost, our hostess Eline was a real joy. She let us deposit our luggage early in the day and then gave us great tips for meals and attractions. When we told her what our plans were for the next day, she would leave books related to the museum or whatever the night before. She offered to have laundry done, and it was ready the next day at no charge. The location was perfect: a block from the tram stop, walking distance to the central district, but far enough away that it was very quiet. Breakfast was not served on site, but we were given a card which we presented to a breakfast and brunch cafe down the street, with no limit on what we could order. Throughout our stay, Eline was cheerfull and helpfull. If we could give Milkhouse a rating of 12, we would.

The one aspect that might be offsetting to someone is that the room is below street level. There is a separate entry two steps down from the sidewalk.

The room was very cozy and smelled so good. It was located on a major canal and close to the attractions we prioritized. The hostess gave us a different treat each day, along with a new book to peruse and excite us about the city. She was generous with drinks and snacks and other informative printed material. In our own realm, we had the ideal set up of privacy with the privilege of instant help any time we needed it.

Amazing hosts, and hospitality. It was my favorite stay during my family trip to Europe. Cleaners were excellent as well and I felt welcomed. Perfect location, very close to many attractions, I could walk everywhere and enjoy the area easily. I felt safe as well, the street was great location but not in a busy section so at night I could sleep easily without loud noises outside. The hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommended.

The owners Erik and Eline were such wonderful hosts. . They helped us with everything-reservations for dinner. Sightseeing recommendations and help w booking and changes hat needed to b made. eline was very quick to respond to text messages. They helped us out of a bad uber experience by taking care of everything that had gone wrong. The location was very central to all the things we had planned to do. The room is small but the hospitality of Erik and Eline more than made up for it.

Charming property in a fantastic neighborhood. Eline, the owner was extremely hospitable and helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. The mini fridge included complimentary wine, plenty of bottled water replenished daily and snacks. Loved it!

Souterrain mit Tageslicht nur durch ein kleines Fenster. Bettdecken sollten eher separat sein. Nicht eine Decke für beide Gäste. Preis ist trotzdem eine Überlegung wert.

It was very hot in the apartment even though we had a fan. As a basement apartment there was no view.

It was the perfect location & we loved how we were right on the canal as we walked out our door. All the lovely extras of drinks & snacks was such a treat. Would definitely come back here again.

The room has a private entrance right on the canal. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the room had a small refrigerator for snacks and beverages. The owners were very welcoming and shared some suggestions about what to do while we were there. They even shared some art books with us.

There wasn’t much storage space for clothes other than the hanging rack.

Everything was great. The owner Eline welcomed us very friendly and luckily we could check in early. The room has everything you need. Coffeemaker, refrigerator with free drinks, very nice bathroom with very good care products and the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. The location is perfect. From there we walked all over Amsterdam, able to take breaks in our room because it is just in the middle of Amsterdam, but still quietly located in a side street. Breakfast was 100 m away at Bagels Beans and it was also very good. The tram stops 100 m away and you can reach everything by tram. When we checked out we could leave our luggage with Eline and pick it up later that day. We had a perfect weekend in Amsterdam 😊

Our hosts, Eline and Erik, were very communicative and kind. We had everything we needed in the room, it was comfortable and quiet, the shower was great, and the location on Kaisergracht can’t be topped. Also, we liked that everything was included with the room price. Nice touch! Would stay again!

Eline greeted us before we even rang her! She came out to the street, took our bags and made us feel welcome! The room was perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The space is well thought out. Lovely shower, a great coffee bar, fridge and complimentary wine, beer and chocolate! The location is perfect. There was information about the area as well as a map of Amsterdam for us to take along. Eline was available during our stay when we had questions. (there was a train strike on the day we were supposed to leave). She CALLED the train company and helped us figure out what we had to do to get to Belgium. Lastly, I left my credit cards in the safe and she texted me and offered to mail home. Lovely lady and lovely place.

The location was perfect and the room is delightfully charming. The room is very clean and smells so nice. The check-in and check-out were both very straightforward and the host was very friendly and responsive.

The bathroom has the modern shower design without a curtain for half of it. It was a struggle to keep the floor in the rest of the bathroom dry (but that was just us, maybe others have better luck / skill)

Great location. Owner live upstairs and are great. They knew we were interested in museums so each evening they left a book in the room about the museum we had visited.

The location was excellent for the tourist attractions. Plenty of good restaurants and bars within 10 minutes walk. Hotel overlooking a canal which was lovely. The hostess was very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. She even provided different books on Museums and galleries that we were going to. There was even a free mini bar in the room which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

We totally fell in love with the Milkhouse. We were well looked after by Eline (who stayed up late to welcome us to the room and kept our bags safe after checkout on our final day!). Communication was clear, friendly, unintrusive. The room was beautiful and clean, it smelled amazing, and has an extra big, comfy bed. The personal touches are fantastic - bath robes, underfloor heating, lovely toiletries, a fridge stocked with many different beverages, mini snacks and a new display book to read after the room gets made every day. The location is central and well-connected; the door opens up to the canal, with a tram stop 2 mins along the road, but it is still a peaceful area. Perfect for exploring the city - can recommend Bagels & Beans for breakfast, Hap-Hmm for a solid Dutch meal, Blauw for rijsttafel, and Winkel43 for apple pie! Thank you Eline & Erik :)

This was one of the best accommodation experiences I've had in Amsterdam! Eline's boutique hotel truly captures the spirit of the city. My room was incredibly clean, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The small yet thoughtful details-like coffee, tea, and snacks-made it feel even more like home. Eline is a wonderful host, very welcoming and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience. If you're visiting Amsterdam, this is definitely the place to stay!

Wonderful unit in a private house along a canal. Super private room and very comfortable. It was like staying at a spa!! Bathrobes - fabulous shower - toiletries all top notch. There were sweet and savory treats, soft drinks, water, coffee, tea, beer and wine refreshed daily. The best part of the stay are the hosts - Eline and Eric. We arrived very early and they offered for us to leave our bags while our room was being readied. They invited us in for coffee and we chatted a while. Such nice people - I had noted to Eline about an upcoming birthday during our stay, and on the day, they left a bottle of bubbly and a gift!! We loved the small touches - little candies in a bowl, fresh flowers in sconces on the wall, daily picture books about art and Amsterdam. We highly recommend!
