Little noise between rooms

Location was good. Close to transport and entertainment areas. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff helpful. Nice gym area in the basement. Nice view from balcony.

Small room and small uncomfortable bed with very soft pillows. Bathroom even smaller. Not ideal for longer stays, probably okay for a night or two. Reception staff not very friendly. Lots of outside noise from people and trams. Expensive for what you get.

Location is excellent, a short walk to the museums, shopping and restaurants. The tram stop is also just in front of the hotel. The staff at the front desk, the restaurant, and the bar were all fantastic, friendly and helpful.

The late night menue can use some healthy options, only had pizza and ice cream.

I’ve stayed here around 10 times I’m sure, so without hesitation I normally like this hotel

I didn’t like the room that was infested with ants crawling everywhere all over worktops was making a tea one night and by the time I had made a cup of tea I found 7 ants and killed them sitting at the desk in the room, then was given another room, went on balcony and there was a pidgeons nest on it so got hounded by pidgeon anytime opened doors or tried to sit on it

Our stay was amazing! The location was great but the staff was even better. They made our stay unforgettable. David was so kind and all the receptionists also! The hotel is near a tram station and that helped us a lot. Would come back 100%.

On my first day, I was charged more than €400 extra. I only noticed it myself, and after I raised the issue, the hotel confirmed that it was a mistake and refunded the amount. On the same day, I had another concerning experience. While I was inside my room during my private time, someone from the hotel team attempted to open my door without knocking first. I immediately contacted reception because this was a serious privacy concern. I was told it was a mistake and that they had intended to leave a gift in my room. Regardless of the reason, hotel staff should always knock and ensure that the guest is aware before attempting to enter an occupied room. I also felt that the way my concern was initially handled could have been more professional and understanding. Before my departure, the hotel provided a small gift as an apology, which I appreciated. However, considering the seriousness of entering a guest’s room without knocking, I expected the matter to be handled with greater care and professionalism.

The location was great. I liked the old fashioned feel about it. I also liked the breakfast and the fact that there were restaurants there.

Location was superb. Staff were friendly, always willing to help. Clean rooms, we were upgraded at no extra cost to a balcony room.

The only thing that i can fault was the noise outside....you could hear ever siren, every tram that passed by.

Only issue i had was at breakfast i git a coke , i tought they woukd add it to room . But a guy chased through the bar then at lobby with.card machine saying to pay for coke . Bit embarrassing. But overall a fantastic hotel

Really good location in Amsterdam. I really liked the room - very well spaced and decorated. AC was very good and quiet - a big plus for me. Breakfast was good but perhaps a little short on variety.

We had a canal side room and were upgraded on arrival. Large room, comfortable bed and everything we needed really. The dining room is lovely and breakfast was very well presented with good choices and quality ingredients. There were always plenty of staff on hand both in the hotel and dining areas. The location is great for the city centre and everything is pretty much within walking distance. The hotel looked and felt well maintained and our room was cleaned every day of our visit. Although the location is in the city centre, it was quiet and we were never disturbed.

Nothing really stands out that i could say we didn't like. If i was being picky, the dutch don't get that Brits like milk in their tea and we were always hunting around for milk. In the end we bought some ourselves. There was creamer powder in our room but who uses that in tea?

Solo dejan una botella de agua por habitación. Teniendo en cuenta que hacia mucho calor, hubiera preferido una para cada huésped. Pero como el agua de la habitación es potable lo pudimos resolver bien.

Sehr zentrale Lage, besonders freundliches Personal! Sehr gutes Frühstück! Sehr gute Bar auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel. Zimmer 107 (geräumige Junior-Suite) hat einen sehr schönen Blick auf die Gracht. Sehr gute Betten. Interessante Architektur von 1910 in sehr gepflegtem Zustand.

Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer roch etwas muffig. Die Waschbecken sind nicht im Badezimmer, sondern im Schlafzimmer - eine gewöhnungsbedürftige Spielerei des Innenarchitekten.

Locatie is fantastisch, het hotel zelf is echt heel bijzonder door het fantastische originele art decor interieur. Kamer was ook prima en het bed ruim en comfortabel met stevige kussens. Ontbijtbuffet was niet overdreven ruim gesorteerd maar vers en in orde. Checkout is pas om 12:00 dus genoeg tijd om rustig te ontbijten en in te pakken. Erg vriendelijk personeel die duidelijk hun best doen om het de gasten naar de zin te maken.

Bijna niets, enige was dat de kamer na de eerste nacht om 15:30 nog niet was schoongemaakt. De receptie heeft toen ik dit meldde wel meteen iemand met schone handdoeken langsgestuurd. Niet perse negatief maar wat wel opmerkelijk was is dat de wasbakken in de kamer zelf zitten, in de badkamer zat alleen een klein wasbakje om je handen te wassen.

Amazing location, I booked a room with a canal view and got upgraded to an executive room. Beautiful property, with everything you’d need to enjoy your stay in Amsterdam. I’ll definitely be back.

For the money it was nice to have a balcony but room and bed were very, very small, no comfortable chair to relax. Seems like you’re paying a premium purely for a balcony.

The location of hotel is perfect, near a lot of different cafe and restaurants. Also opposite is canal cruise point, differebt museams. Also i like the breakfest. Thank for staff to upgraiding our room. We have room with balcony and it is amazing. Every day i sit there and enjoy life. The bed and the pillows very comfy. I slept there like an angel

Best location in Amsterdam and the staff, as always, was awesome!

I made the mistake of upgrading to a larger room than we usually book. The hotel has undergone a renovation since we were there four years ago. The larger room had a lot of space, but the configuration was confusing (the toilet was next to the entry door, which is quite a walk from the bed when you wake in the middle of the night to use it). The only seating (besides the bed and a rolling office chair) was a small, uncomfortable couch/sofabed. The television placement was odd and not at all conducive to watching while relaxing after a day of walking around the city.

Alles in allem ein schönes Hotel. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Die Zimmer könnten zwar etwas größer sein, aber das ist in Amsterdam durchaus üblich. Das Hotel war sauber, komfortabel und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Eigentlich gibt es nicht viel zu bemängeln. Der Preis ist zwar etwas hoch, allerdings bezahlt man hier auch die hervorragende Lage. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt im Zentrum, sodass viele Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Insofern ist der Preis durchaus nachvollziehbar.

I love the location, the wonderful Art Deco restaurant and the bar. We paid extra for a room with a balcony and agree it was well worth it to sit and watch the world go by. The room overlooked the canal, great! The staff are friendly and very helpful.

I'd only be nit picking if I said. It was a pretty perfect stay.

It was clean and good location.

The AC didn’t work very well so very hot and kept curtains closed most of the day even though we paid for canal view room. Also the king bed was just two twin beds pushed together. All that said, slept very poorly.

The hotel was in a wonderful location and when we arrived, we were informed that we had a free room upgrade to the deluxe double room with a balcony.

The only downside was the prices of some of the items that you could purchase in the hotel.

Zimmer mit Blick zum Kanal und damit auch zur Straße war sehr laut und das die komplette Nacht durch. Maßgeblich bedingt durch Dauer-Krach aus der dem Kanal gegenüberliegen ‚Spritz-Bar‘ und auch durch den Verkehr.
