Rocky Mountain Chalets Ohakune

The reception guy is super nice, he explained well and welling to help. When walked into the room, it is super warm, feel like home. Very clean, has everything including dish washer, wash machine and dryer. Whatever you normally need at home, here has everything. Two nights are not enough, really want to stay for more. Note, they also have spa, don't forget to bring the togs.

We loved our stay. Chalet was clean and had everything we need. Loved that I could do washing and go home with all clean clothes. We will definitely be back.

The air conditioner did not make warm.

Remember bring your own shampoo and conditioner for shower.

Lovely chalet close to town but not amongst it

Our car like most suv are large and the posts are in the way of opening the doors. Stupid people parking their second car jutting out on the access road.

Very nice and cosy unit! Perfect for our family of four and my elderly mom.

Great location, perfect spot to head to the carrot playground with kids after a day on the mountain.

One of the lazy boy chairs had been broken by the previous people who were in the chalet, and it hadn’t been replaced/repaired. A bit hard to navigate not using with young kids.

Friendly staff on arrival. Extremely clean accommodation. Good cooling facilities. Comfy beds and good bedding.

The sauna took a while to work. That is our only constructive feedback and I feel like the sauna is just an added extra 😊 nothing negative from us. Local restaurants are lacking and very expensive. I’d recommend making use of the cooking facilities at the accommodation.

Clean, the heating was on when we came in, they accommodated our request to have a Mountain View chalet. The hot pools and sauna was an amazing perk!

Location was great. Spa pools a bonus. Unit had everything you needed and all cooking utensils. ( this was very helpful as the town had no water for three days due to broken pipe so all restaurants closed so needed to be able to cook.) lounge and dining area great size.

The two single beds were horrible spring base frames so you would sag very uncomfortable. No outside storage locker for skis available Soooo many cushions!

Everything was great

We had 3 heaters in the chalet and none of them worked very well. Heatpump pumps cold air, wall heater has a timer so it would turn off and the oil heater wasn't working either until we plugged it into another socket. Lucky it wasn't cold as it wouldve been horrible for the us and more so the kids if we stayed here a week ago when it was in negative degrees. Other than that, everything was amazing we will be back

Convenient, clean, and lovely for a getaway

No water supply on the Sunday, with no communication regarding the issue.

We had a wonderful stay at this chalet. It was lovely and warm when we arrived, which made us feel right at home, and the electric blankets were an absolute bonus after a day in the snow. The two-bedroom layout was perfect for our group of three adults and one child, with plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. The location was fantastic too. It was only about a 20-minute drive to the top of the mountain, where we spent the day sledding and having an absolute blast. After a fun day in the snow, it was so nice to have such a short drive back to the chalet to warm up and relax. Waking up to the beautiful mountain views each day was a real highlight. The chalet was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Clean, warm and well equipped, with cooking options, laundry, lockup for ski gear, and tv easy to use.

Unit close to road, so noise from, trucks quite loud. Bedrooms at back of unit so with door closed didn't keep us awake.

It was in a good location.

It could do with a bit of an upgrade inside to make it a little more tidy.

We absolutely loved our stay. The chalet was spotlessly clean, quiet, warm and very comfortable. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area. Having a fully equipped kitchen was a huge bonus, with everything we needed for our stay. It was the perfect place to relax, and we would happily stay here again.

Very little to fault. A few basic cooking essentials, such as oil, salt and pepper, would have been a nice addition. We also would have appreciated a little more space to store and open our suitcases, but these were only minor suggestions in what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

It felt very homely and comfortable - like you could really relax, had all the cutlery and dishes you could want as well(no looking around for a bottle opener)

First off, Will is the nicest and was so welcoming. He gave me good advice on all the restaurants and eateries. Gave me information on all the activities and events in the region. And, made sure the chalet was open and ready for us. The chalet is amazing!

The unit was very warm and cosy which was lovely in this cold weather. Also well equipped and had everything that we needed. Very comfortable beds. This is the only place we want to stay in Ohakune.

Maybe if there was a better frying pan and wok. The ones we got in the room was not all rusty.

Spacious two-bedroom cabin, walking distance to town, where there are a few restaurants and takeaways as well as a supermarket. Very comfy bed. Good shower pressure. Kitchen has everything you need including a full size cooker. Heat pump in lounge. Free wifi and onsite parking. Friendly guy on the reception :)

This is a really nice set up with good sized chalets that you can pull up right to the front door with your car. Really liked going into the sauna and hot tub.

My bed was great, but my friends felt the smaller beds were too hard and not comfortable. Nice to have a deck to sit out on, but no deck chairs and not very private.
