私は、どれだけ泊まった宿が良くても普段レビューを書くことはほとんどありません。でも今回ばかりは、書かずにはいられません。 私にとって初めてのスリランカ旅行は、ジェフリー・バワに関連する場所を巡ることが大きな目的でした。その旅の途中でEllaという素敵な村があることを知り、直感を信じてこの宿を予約しました。 彼らは私をとても優しく迎え入れてくれました。私の拙い英語にも一生懸命耳を傾け、どんなことも分かりやすく丁寧に説明してくれました。 自然と愛情、心からのおもてなし。そして、自家製の野菜やスパイスを使った、優しくて本当に美味しい料理。 ここで過ごすために、スリランカを訪れる価値があると思います。 これから初めて訪れる方は、事前に希望や必要な情報だけ伝えて、あとは彼らに身を委ねてみてください。きっと素敵な滞在になるはずです。 私はいつの日か、今度は家族を連れて、またここに泊まりに来たいと思っています。 本当にありがとう。 この家族の幸せが、いつまでも続きますように。

Absolutnie wszystko. To jest najwspanialsza rodzina jaką znam. Właściciel jest idealnym człowiekiem. I bardzo dobrym mężem i ojcem. Nawet sposób w jaki jego rodzina dba o małe kotki był cudowny. Kupiliśmy karmę dla małych kotków oraz alkohol z polski dla gospodarza i cukierki dla jego córek. Właściciel odwdzięczył się nam aż za bardzo. Pobyt był cudowny. Mieliśmy wszystko co chcieliśmy. Było lepiej niż na wakacjach all inclusive. Właściciel podwoził nas do miasta zawsze kiedy chcieliśmy. Robił nam kawę, herbatę kiedy chcieliśmy, poprosiliśmy o sok z kokosa - od razu nam dał. Jedzenie jakie gotuje żona gospodarza jest PRZEPYSZNE. Czuliśmy się lepiej niż u rodziny. Nigdy, nigdy nie zostałem tak dobrze zaopiekowany jak w tym guesthousie. Dodatkowo sam guesthouse jest w pięknym miejscu. Idealne miejsce żeby odpocząć od zgiełku miasta i turystycznej Elli. My zostaliśmy tam 2 noce i było to za mało. To jest najlepsze miejsce na Sri Lance. Zostań tam minimum 3 noce. Nie rezerwuj nic sam na własną rękę. Zaufaj gospodarzowi. On jest naprawdę uczciwym człowiekiem. Zawsze mam z tym problem, bo dużo osób na Sri Lance zawyża ceny dla turystów ale ten Właściciel jest naprawdę uczciwy i pokaże wam fantastyczne miejsca dosłownie za grosze i pomoże wam wszystko zorganizować nie tylko w Ella ale i na całej Sri Lance. Dajcie mu dobry napiwek, bo robotę jaką wykonuje ten Pan i pomaga tak wielu osobą, to sprawia, że zdecydowanie na to zasługuje. I dał pojeździć nam swoim tuk tukiem. Na pewno wrócimy z powrotem!

Wenn man in der Gegend um Ella ist dann ist das eine ganz tolle Übernachtung. Unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Familie. Man wohn toll in der Natur und fühlt sich sofort entspannt. Besonders empfehlen kann ich auch Frühstück und Abendessen mit vielen Produkten aus dem heimischen Garten 😍 Wir hatten ganz tolle Aufenthalte in Sri Lanka aber dieser war der Schönste. Jederzeit wieder. Kleiner Hinweis: Die letzten 900m zur Unterkunft führen über ein kleinen Weg durch die Teeplantagen. Nicht erschrecken es ist alles gut zu fahren 👍

C’est certainement la plus belle rencontre de notre voyage d’un mois au Sri Lanka. Nous avons durant ces 3 jours été accueillis comme des membres de leur famille. Endroit au calme, a 15 min de Ella, on s’y sent chez soi. Les petits déjeuners et les rice and curry du soir sont les meilleurs que nous ayons mangés. L'endroit est niché dans un terrain de 5 hectares où poussent fruits et épices qu’ils vous feront goûter. Loger ici ce n’est pas choisir un x ieme hôtel pour votre voyage, c’est choisir la beauté humaine d’une magnifique famille, une bienveillance hors normes et une expérience qui restera gravée dans nos mémoires bien plus que les plus beaux paysages. Vous pouvez faire confiance les yeux fermees, ils vous donneront d'excellents conseils et seront aux petits soins pour que vous passiez le meilleur séjour! Merci pour tout et a bientôt j’espere.

Nature's Rest is een klein paradijsje in de heuvels van Ella. De familie van deze homestay was geweldig. Onze familie is de afgelopen drie dagen enorm verwend. Het eten is misschien wel het lekkerste wat we in Sri Lanka gegeten hebben. Zonder problemen werd er rekening gehouden met het glutenvrije dieet van één van de gezinsleden en hij werd zelfs nog eens extra verwend. Wij hebben hier dagelijks genoten van het ontbijt en het avondeten. Hiervoor een extra woord van dank voor Suganthi en Saraniya. Wat wij ook erg leuk vinden waren de inside tips van Sureshkaran (vader van het gezin). Geheel belangeloos ging hij met ons op pad, leerde ons het gebruik van de local bus en nam ons mee naar een tempel en de watervallen. Onze zoon heeft ook volop genoten van de rit achterop de scooter. Sureshkaran heeft nog veel mooie plannen met zijn stuk land waarin bijna alle soorten fruit en kruiden te vinden zijn. Ten slotte zijn de kamers heel mooi ingericht, super schoon en netjes. De matrassen zijn nieuw en slapen heerlijk! Kortom, wij raden iedereen van harte deze prachtige plek aan.

We spent a wonderful time in this place surrounded by lush greenery, feeling like we were in the heart of the wild. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the food was outstanding every day. The hosts were incredibly kind and made us feel at home.

Amazing location in the forest with a short walk to stunning hilltop views. Lovely attentive family with great home cooked food. A highlight of our trip. Thank you Suresh and family.

Hard bed

This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had in all of our travels. Suresh and his family are lovely, they are so kind and generous and get out of their way to help their guests. They provided us with dinner and breakfast (which was the best Sri Lankan food we have had in the country) and we also cooked together one evening for us to learn some of the recipes. Suresh is also a tuk tuk driver so can help with the transport to Ella and further sites. He’s very honest with prices too. The location is immersed in nature and so relaxing, and the room was comfortable and clean. We wish we had stayed longer and will definitely recommend this stay to anyone who visits Ella!

Nous ne nous sentions pas très à l'aise car nous logions à côté de la famille et cela peut être un peu gênant parfois. De plus, nous avons payé le rice and curry au même prix qu'un restaurant touristique en ville...

Amazing experience in Sri Lanka with this honest and humble family and their kindness who helped me a lot with everything I needed. The food was excel.lent and super huge, and the location its in the middle of the nature with jungle, tea fields and animals. The room was very good with hot water and clean. They help me a lot to save money and they didn't want anything in return. I truly recommend them a lot because just the experience there can be a highlight of a trip in Sri Lanka.

Un accueil très chaleureux et des hôtes qui font tout pour rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous avons été conseillés et accompagnés pour louer des scooters mais également aidés pour l'organisation de la suite de notre séjour au Sri Lanka ! La nourriture était excellente avec un très bon rapport qualité-prix (petit déjeuner et dîner possible). La localisation un peu à l'écart du centre est un vrai plus, qui permet de profiter du calme et d'une nuit au cœur de la jungle et des plantations de thé. Très bonnes recommandations sur les activités aux alentours, aller-retour en tuk-tuk possibles et chambre très propre et confortable. Et tout cela avec un super rapport qualité-prix ! Pour l'instant, le meilleur logement que l'on ai eu de notre séjour, rendu inoubliable par la gentillesse et l'honnêteté de cette famille. On recommande à 100 % !!

I had a super stay at Nature’s Rest, I can understand why they maintain such an amazing rating. Suresh and his family are perfect hosts, taking care of your every need and his wife cooks the most amazing food. I had breakfast and dinner every day. The room is cozy and has what you need for a short stay. It is located about 15 minutes out of the town which is good as there is a lot of traffic. You can take the local bus for 40 rupees or have Suresh take you by tuktuk for a price MUCH better than the others in Ella. If I come back to Ella I will for sure stay here again.

La famiglia che gestisce la struttura è super gentile!!! Rimane a circa 10 minuti in auto dal centro di Ella, ma forse è meglio così perché potete godere di una vista bellissima in mezzo alla natura e fuori dal caos. Noi avevamo l’auto e arrivare alla casa è un po’ difficile perché c’è una strada stretta ma siamo stati guidati dal proprietario e siamo arrivati senza problemi. La struttura offre anche la colazione tipica e il proprietario offre anche tour in tuktuk.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ici. Notre seul regret a été de ne pas rester plus longtemps. Nos supers hôtes nous ont proposés un logement 5 étoiles mais surtout de la super nourriture (je n'ai jamais mangé de frite aussi bonne et je suis français) Aussi des supers conseils pour le voyage et toujours à petit prix. This is a beautiful property looking out into the jungle. It’s about 15 min away from town (which has a lot of traffic and I preferred not to stay in). The room was very clean. Suresh was so helpful to organize rides to sites and other cities. The family is wonderful. I had breakfast and dinner multiple days here and it was some of the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I felt well taken care of and safe as a solo traveler. I also extended my stay here. Would highly recommend!

Pero no leí en ningún comentario que Suresh es el único guía en toda Sri Lanka que no te lleva a sitios caros para que te saquen el dinero. Que se preocupa no solo por tu comodidad si no por tu bolsillo. Cuidando de que no te timen y no llevándote a lugares preparados para bolsillos europeos. Tuvimos la gran suerte de que nos trajera también a Udawalawe, siempre con mucho cariño y buen precio. La hija mayor está estudiando medicina así que le mando mucha fuerza y besos. Amazing stay in jungle - seatings in front of your room, singing birds, looking at flowers and plants. Absolutely best hosts in Sri Lanka !!! - sharing tips and healing with travel plan. They asked us how was our day every evening. Whole family including lovely kids came to invite us and shake the hands, the same when we were leaving. Offered tea and coffee. Tasty breakfasts and dinners - everything fresh, delicious, served with love. The owner has his tuk-tuk and brought us to the city when needed. Great place to relax - worth to come even if it is a bit further from the city. Your can escape from Ella rush here. THE KINDEST FAMILY IN ELLA ❤

The hosts are the loveliest family, we felt so welcome and comfortable here. The location is amazing, so beautiful. Its a little drive out of Ella but the views on the way are worth the drive out. The food was great, quality & quantity, a lot of which came straight from their garden! We loved it & stayed an extra night.

Nature’s rest is an ideal accommodation for nature lovers. It is surrounded by tea plants, tropical forrest and many wild animals. The family is very hospitable, genuinely nice people, living in simbioze with nature. We ordered dinners and breakfasts and it was amazing! I can easily say it was better than in any restaurants. Everything was prepared fresh with many ingredients coming from their garden. The road there is a bit tricky, I would suggest not hire a tuktuk driver, but it is definitely worth getting there. It is also a walking distance to Little Adam’s peak and 9 arches bridge.

Everything. Location is perfect if you are looking for a place in the middle of the nature with no traffic noise. The room is super clean and comfy. The family is lovely. The owner gives us really good tips to plan our journey. Do not miss the opportunity to try dinner in the place; is delicious and testy. Our entire stay at Nature's Resort was a fantastic vacation thanks to the extraordinary, charming family. A place away from the city noise. The owner provides competitive tuk tuk transport. Beautiful surroundings, lots of wonderful flowers, fruits and exotic animals. Delicious and varied meals. I sincerely recommend this place.

The stay is with the most heart-warming hosts and beautiful wild nature around. It’s 20 min from the main city which makes it a perfect getaway from a city. The silence and nature around brings so much clarity and peace of mind. The host family are so kind and welcoming that we felt like part of the family. We also received amazing tips on the day trips and attractions around Ella.

We had an unforgettable stay at this lovely homestay! From the moment we arrived, the family made us feel so welcome and at home. They were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help with every request, offering great tips on what to do and see in the area. The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was freshly prepared, full of flavor, and made with love. The view from the terrace is simply spectacular, with the lush, exotic jungle as a garden – a truly stunning setting. We can't thank the family enough for their warmth, hospitality, and generosity. Fantastic location away from Ella and in nature. They are a super kind family. It is one of our favorite homestays from 1+ months in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Oh, and the food is excellent!

What an incredible place! I loved getting to know the family, and they enjoyed the interchange as well. The property is gorgeous, the food is perfect, and I was well taken care of. I extended my time there.

Where to start… I wish I had stayed longer! The food was incredible - so fresh, flavourful and diverse, even when accommodating for my non-spicy, vegetarian preference. Definitely eat here as much as you can! I had breakfast each day, and dinner twice. The location away from the busy loud town was perfect for me. Surrounded by nature, you could spot a range of colourful birds from the terrace and I was lucky to see a Sri Lankan giant squirrel making its nest just in front of the property. I enjoyed various walks from the property too - I particularly recommend the one to the ‘secret’ waterfall where you can take a dip on a hot day. And you can get to Little Adam’s Peak and the nine arches bridge in a pleasant 1.5 hour walk. Explore the tea plantations around the property too - I stumbled upon an amazing view of the mountains and sat for hours just soaking up the atmosphere. Suresh and his family are amazing hosts - very kind and attentive, flexible to changing plans, yet also leave you to your own space. I was grateful for the good value tuktuk service Suresh provided which meant Ella and beyond was still accessible. His advice on where to go was great. The room was very comfortable and clean, with a bottle of water provided, hot shower and nicely lit bedside lamp. All in all, very good value and genuinely one of the best homestays of my 4 months of travelling. Thank you so much Suresh for a wonderful stay, I hope to return one day.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nature’s Rest, a delightful homestay managed by a warm and welcoming family. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the hygienic rooms and well-maintained washrooms, which added to the overall comfort of my stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. What truly sets Nature’s Rest apart is the lovely family vibe. The hosts are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend Nature’s Rest for anyone looking to escape and enjoy a relaxing retreat in nature.

Very friendly family; excellent breakfast and dinner; possibility to rent a scooter. The location is quite secluded, ideal for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of Ella Town and enjoy a truly relaxing environment.

Because of its relative isolation, it's better to have an autonomous means of transportation. By chance we could rent Suresh's scooter.

Nature's Rest is a lovely homestay outside the hustle and bustle of Ella. Suresh and his family are lovely, and his wife cooked the most amazing food during our stay! He organised tuk tuks for us whenever we needed. Would definitely stay again if we're back to visit Ella

This is a fantastic place for nature lovers tucked up in the hills 5 km outside of Ella. Suresh gave me lifts in his TukTuk when I wanted to get around, at incredibly cheap rates. Sudenti cooks the most incredible 5* food. This is a fantastic place, basic, simple and very good value for money. The hospitality is outstanding. The most beautiful thing is going to sleep and getting up to a beautiful view and sounds ad movements of the forest right outside your door.

The host and his family were absolutely delightful. They couldn't have been more friendly, kind, helpful or informative. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, The terrace outside the 2 rooms has a view over the "jungle" that is the closest I can imagine to paradise. We often spent lazy afternoons sipping juice or beer - looking at the amazing view. Visited by friendly toucans every morning. You can walk 20 minutes along a lovely footpath in either direction to get to the road and the attractions in Ella.

Hotel high in the mountains, surrounded by nature and tea plantations! A very private harmonious rest in nature, with a wonderful panorama, wild bird sounds, plant blossoms! A wonderful cooking wife, where we chose both lunch and dinner. Food from own organic farm, absolutely delicious... The host is very helpful, recommending and showing, if necessary, the best scenic hiking routes. The owner has tuk tuk and can take you around for good prices. During the day hike, which owner helped us organise and brought us to, we saw the most beautiful valleys, tea fields, Adam's peak, and walked to the 9-arch bridge. During the whole day, we were accompanied by a wonderful little guide - the youngest daughter of the host family 🥰😍 🥰🙏 We had a lot of contact with the host regarding taxi and traveling around Ella, he helped a lot with real advice. 100% recommend

Hard mattress

Very nice, welcoming family. Great hospitality, the food was tasty, we could even watch and help with the cooking. It is in the nature, great surroundings a bit outside of Ella, but they drive you with their TukTuk any time you need to go somewhere. Best value for money.

It was such a love letter stay at nature rest! Felt like home. The hosts are super super friendly and flexible and you get the best local food for breakfast and dinner. Suresh showed us around in his big garden and we collected some fruits and ate fresh coconuts. Whenever we wanted he drove us down to the city with his Tuk Tuk. The nature and nature sounds are incredible and the room was super clean and nice. I will come back for sure! I definitely recommend it to everyone! I personally stayed for the third time at Nature Rest Homestay because I love it. The hosts are warm hearted people that take excellent care of their guests. The food is delicious and the house is located 15 minutes out of Ella in the middle of beautiful nature. If you are looking for a peaceful place to relax, enjoy nature and hospitality, you found your place.

Nature’s rest definitely deserves all its exceptional reviews. Suresh, Suganthi and family are wonderful hosts and we very much enjoyed spending time with them. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you need. The terrace looks out into the forest and the hills beyond. There are beautiful walks into the hills and in the tea plantations from the doorstep. The peace and quiet away from Ella is perfect. Suganthi’s breakfasts, dinners and treats were delicious. It really is a restful place in nature with kind and friendly people.

Nature’s Rest is a beautiful little hideaway nestled amongst tea plantations just outside of Ella. If you are coming to Ella for the scenery this is definitely the place. You can walk straight from the guesthouse into tea plantations and you are just surrounded everywhere by tropical flowers. The food is excellent home cooked deliciousness. However the highlights are without doubt your hosts, who are the kindest, friendliest and most helpful people you could ever wish to meet.

the owners are real cleanliness: bed linen, bathroom, garden, windows, everything is absolutely clean and beautiful, well-groomed yard and porch. Good connection 4G for work and there is a workplace for a computer.

a little further from Ella's parties, but I see even a plus in this. Because you can work in silence.

Attention accès très difficile pour arriver à la guest house, les 300 derniers mètres sont très difficile avec la voiture, c'est vraiment un sentier pas large ... Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants avec leurs 3 enfants,à peine arrivés nous ont servi le thé . Le soir nous avons joués au triominos cetait formidable. Chambre très propre et petit dej + que correct . Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés si vous aimez le grand calme
