Nice high ceilings and comfy bed.

Breakfast really terrible - both in value and quality. Many different bars in hotel with nice different feels but all were closed except the main one.

Staff were very friendly they went out of their way to help us when we had to stay an extra night. Hotel was full but they went out of their way to accommodate us

The decor in the hotel was very dark The bathroom was small for the size of room The seal on bottom of shower screen was very dirty & worn, the water poured out when having a shower, when complained, it was taken off but not replaced which made the situation worse. Housekeeping had to be requested if you were staying more than 1 night ! Any Spa facilities were extra to pay for. Eggs at breakfast were like rubber

Was niet helemaal duidelijk wat we met de afwas moesten doen. Verder helemaal niets op aan te merken.

Guy at reception was abrupt and not really friendly, very clinical. Breakfast whilst an add on was expensive and at nearly £25 a person and it wasn’t an exceptional breakfast by any means

I’m aware on writing how privileged and minor this is, however I paid for a service that was below standard. We were upgraded to an executive suite. I ordered room service that after an hour of waiting, didn’t arrive. On calling to cancel (because we had plans) the staff member on the phone didn’t so much as care let alone apologise. We had a large bath with a tap that sprayed water at a 90 degree angle and soaked the floor, rendering the bath useless. In the morning, I took orange juice to go from the breakfast bar, and was requested to decant this into tiny, plastic cups. Made no sense to me as if I ordered room service, it would have come in a glass.its clear sandman have no respect for the environment either.

Beautiful property and well located.

Breakfast buffet was poor standard. Eggs were sitting out too long, rock solid and not pleasant. Selection was reasonable but not good for the cost. Coffee was poor standard. I have eaten at night in the restaurant and always thought the food was lovely so disappointed with breakfast.

Room location, window didn’t close, the facilities in the room poor: no soap at bath for instance. Coffee making facilities poor. Overall, very disappointing compared with other hotels in the area.

Well appointed hotel with a brilliant restaurant

Sadly little to no sleep due to a faulty mini fridge that made irritating noise intermittently through the night. I spoke with the front desk on check out about this so hoping it is addressed for the next guests. Also the large glass doors are too cumbersome in weight and slim width especially with luggage. Quite a treck from check in to room 134.

Really beautiful hotel, only stayed for a night so hard to get a feel for it but very accommodating.

Parking seems to be a bit tricky if full but not a problem for us.

The location is great for walking into the centre, rooms are a good size. The kitchenette in the suites are perfect for a short stay.

Unfortunately the weather was slightly warmer than normal, the rooms do not have air conditioning and even with the windows open, the rooms were over 28° so uncomfortable to sleep. There was 2 fans provided, one in the main area and one in the bedroom

Breakfast was absolutely fine. Just what we wished for. Location was fine but we were not there long enough to check it out properly.

Es war sehr heiß Zimmer, es gab keine Möglichkeit die Lüftung kühler als „low heat“ zu stellen und das Fenster war nicht ganz zu öffnen.

Food was good, particularly the late opening hours for the evening meals.

The basement room was very stuffy. The radiator valve was broken such that the radiator was fully on or off. Room keys kept breaking down requiring recoding. In three days went through five keys.

Das gebuchte Zimmer war leider schmutzig (Lampen am Bett verstaubt, Mistkübel im Bad rostig/dreckig, Schimmel in den Fugen). Jalousie defekt. Erst auf Nachfrage wurden die Mängel beseitigt. Auch der billige Ventilator am Zimmer ist dem 4 Sterne-Niveau nicht gewachsen. Frühstück eher mittelmäßig, Kaffee nur in Thermoskanne bzw. auf Anfrage.

Friendly staff, spacious rooms and generally a wonderful hotel.

The parking is less than desirable. Getting into the inner parking was a tight squeeze and the overflow parking was a trip. Once settled, it was great. Breakfast was ok.

We changed rooms. Put in the furthest room on the property. Broken blinds, dirty, hot, on the road. No air-conditioning. Changed rooms thankfully and was much better, squeaky floors from next door but hot no air-conditioning just a portable fan.

there was an extra sofa bed made up in the lounge which we put away, the room didnt match the description on booking.com and as its the best room lacked a little something the courtyard view was in fact the car park and our room looked directly onto the bins which were trundled loudly past on both mornings at 7.30! lack of net curtains also meant the curtains were closed most of our stay

A very well presented accommodation stay. The room was great. The staff on the restaurant amazing. We had such a great time we didn't need to leave the venue for our stay.

Comfy bed, really good spa treatment and very relaxing and the romantic package was just the finishing touch to our anniversary.

Fabulous hotel - beautifully appointed, enormous high-ceiling rooms with very stylish decor. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and nothing feels like too much trouble. Always great to stay here, and always well-priced.

I've mentioned in a previous review that the gym doesn't seem to get much cleaning attention, and this still seems to be the case. Dirty tissues / wipes in the cupholders on the treadmill, stains etc on mats. It's a small thing ultimately but it stands out in a hotel that is otherwise so well-cared-for.

The location was great and the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The blackout blind needed replacing as it was torn and ill fitting. The room was warm as there was no air con.

Nothing. Room is slightly warm but we had colder weather during our visit, so it was not a problem for us. There is fan available in the room, which helped to cool off when needed.

The location was convenient and the hotel had a car park

The design of the dining room (booths, more like a diner and not particularly comfortable). The bar was a sporty-type bar with large screens everywhere. The only place to relax after dinner was the lounge. However, this was not always open.

Stunning hotel, modern and well presented. My room was clean and comfy with good fascilities. The reastruant and bar had good vibes and the food and service was great. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Staff were helpful, friendly and chatty.

The car park doesnt accomodate the amount of guests. The overflow car park was also full so i then had to go to shopping centre car park. The hotel did give me a discount which was nice. The car park situation was communicated before my arrival so no complaints ther. I just think more spaces closer to the hotel would be helpful.

Beautiful hotel ideally located just a few minutes walk off Union Street. The staff are fantastic and absolutely nothing is any bother for them. The room was great with a massive, extremely comfortable bed. The waterfall shower was superb with plenty of hot water. The food in the restaurant was stunning, the steak was cooked to perfection and whoever thought to wrap the mashed potatoes in filo pastry is a genius. The deserts come as regular or a taster for half price. I opted for the regular and the treacle toffee pudding was huge!! The only disappointment was the breakfast. Virtually everything was gluten free and tasted bland. If I wanted gluten free, I would ask.

The shower is good with both an overhead spigot and a handheld one. It unfortunately is the type that isn't enclosed so the bathroom floor gets wet. There are dispensers of shampoo and body wash in the shower and one of liquid soap at the sink. If you use hair conditioner and body lotion bring your own as they are not provided. Tissues are provided. The room is not serviced unless you ask them to do it. There is a dial that allows you to control lights outside the room- red means "do not disturb" and green means "clean the room". Being Britain there is of course a kettle in the room with a selection of tea and three packets of coffee (no decaf). They also provide two packages of biscuits with 2 in each. There is no mini bar. Dual roll down shades on the windows completely block light from entering. Breakfast had the usual British items. Also haggis, yogurts +plain and fruit flavored), cold cereals (museli, Wheatabix, etc). Surprisingly being Scotland, there was no porridge. There is almond milk and oat milk as well as cow milk. Fruit is limited to grapes, bananas and orange slices. The staff at breakfast are personable. The fitness center is up on the third floor. It has two treadmills, an elliptical and a stationary bike. There are also dumbbells of various weights. That's all it has. It closes early- at 22:00. The sanitizing dispensers were empty

Great location for exploring on foot. Close to the Belmont street precinct. Quiet room with very nice layout. Super welcoming and efficient staff. Good breakfast. Nice restaurant for dinner.

Yes, the rooms are warm without air conditioning (as stated in hotel information). However the operable window and provision of a fan made things more comfortable

Staff were so friendly. The rooms were lovely and very clean.

Only problem was, the room was absolutely roasting. The temperature in reception was lovely with air conditioning but walking into the corridor where the rooms are and then into the room was extremely hot and at times really uncomfortable. That is the only downside.

Good was basic, breakfast wasn’t good value. I don’t eat fried/cooked breakfast so the other options were limited. More selection of fruit (berries, melon) required. Yoghurt wasn’t good, far too thin. Bedroom although clean and comfortable didn’t have the extras like shower cap, robe, slippers. I had to put shoes on to walk around the room and into bathroom.

Location, breakfast is good and the staff in breakfast time is great, sadly not the same staff for other time of the day service.

Bar service/ lunch or diner still poorly managed. Staff def don’t want to be there.

From arrival to departure the super professional and very lovely staff couldn't have been more helpful, going above and beyond to make my stay very pleasant. I dealt with front desk and the events team and the consistency of high levels of service was very noticeable and superior to many other far more expensive places I have stayed.

Water pressure very weak, tile in the bathroom coming off, no AC, no coffee machine, electricity kept switching off, sofa bed not suitable to be sleeping on it.

The bed was very comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the food in the on-site restaurant was very good. The breakfast is an exceptional bargain.

A very welcoming hotel within the city centre area. The quality of the hotel was exceptional. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was quiet. The food at the restaurant was excellent and well-priced for the type of menu. We did not use other hotel amenities. Definitely recommend. If driving, be aware, parking is limited.
