Breakfast was excellent. Only ate evening meal once but it was good. Staff were very helpful,polite and worked very hard.Accommodation was great. Good big rooms, beds were comfy and everywhere was clean and tired.

Would have liked an option for a different breakfast eg omelette, kippers etc

The location was excellent, very convenient for a number of tourist site in the area - lot's of parking , so a really good base for those driving. The room size was very generous, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Bed was good, decor was nice. Breakfast choices were decent, the dinners were very nice and reasonably priced too. Staff were lovely and helpful. Would recommend and stay again.

Probably wouldn't be convenient for those using public transport. My mum didn't appreciate the number of dogs in the restaurant, otherwise there were no complaints at all.

Lovely clean room, treats for the dogs. Fabulous breakfast choice, lovely food lots of it! Again treats and water station for the dogs, liked how we were located away from other people without dogs!

Not the hotels fault at all but the road noise which cant be helped! My husband loved the pillows I just wish they had feen thinner! Again personal choice most people love a big pillow!

We were in a disable persons room so hard to get a shave with the mirror height minor issue plus tv hand set was faulty but resolved by the maintenance team

The breakfast had a good variety of food from self service to a choice from a menu. We were very pleased with the evening meals we had. The hotel is well placed for touring the area and the car park excellent. Lovely sized room and spotlessly clean.

Overall a good breakfast, rooms decent, good sized, good parking and situated near where we needed to be.

The restaurant ran out of menu choices and not a very good selection to cater for vegetarian diners.

Very noisy in our room the A1 was just in front of the window. Didn’t sleep very good 1st night. They moved us to another room which was a little better but still could hear the traffic. Need to get better soundproof windows

We were doing to Macmillan Mighty Hike starting at Alnwick Castle so we chose this hotel for it’s location

There was only one thing which seemed very odd - the fan in the bathroom was set to being permanently on & could not be switched off. That was noisy at night (& a waste of both energy & you would think, money too)

Breakfast was good, the hotel in general is well maintained and nicely furnished. The bar/restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. The food we had there for dinner was very nicely presented and tasted very good.

A1 noise

Had Fish and Chips, the Fish was mostly over cooked batter hardly any fish.

Paid quite a lot for fish and chips but fish was terrible.

A little on the expensive side

Booked as visiting holy island on way back to Yorkshire from Edinburgh so good location . Big family size room which was clean.

Too far from Alnwick , had to use car to get about as hotel on a business park. On 2nd night stay, bar staff unfriendly especially a girl called Mia. My husband wanted a pint of real ale which was off so he returned it, she agreed it was off but snapped at him and said you’ll have to pay difference for his alternative drink which was a glass of wine due to no more real ales being on. Another bar girl interrupted and said no it’s ok as similar price. Mia was then very rude to us throughout our meal, slapping plates down. I wish I had said something now to her but as we were only there one more night I didn’t.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, large clean room, excellent service and fantastic breakfast. Definitely recommend for any stay.

Rather disappointed that no drinking water supplied and only basic supply of tea bags, coffee and biscuits in room than on previous occasions, although extra were provided when we asked. Tissues small and flimsy, not really fit for purpose.

Restaurant menu was very limited for vegetarians. Ran out of dishes on the tapas menu and ran out of mashed potato on our second night.

The location is perfect for travelling around Northumberland and perfect for going up to Scotland to break up a journey when you are travelling with a dog. The rooms and the whole of the Inn were clean, providing all that we needed, the staff are very efficient and caring and the food served in the restaurant very tasty!

Its a great hotel and rooms and food are excellent. The location wasn't quite as charming as the inn, but its handy if you are travelling on the A1, but perhaps a bit of a stretch if you want to stroll around Alnwick. Plenty of parking available and a good sized restaurant. The room was spacious and well equiped.

Very convenient for a stop over. 30 mins walk to the town centre and 15 mins to retail shopping. Staff were very helpful.

WiFi was a bit hit and miss but other than that nothing.

It was a bit dated in the room, wouldn’t have wanted to stay there for a special birthday or anniversary . Didn’t realise it was a bit out of Alnwick but that was my own fault

It was made out to be a cosy little country pub, not a modern hotel attached to a pub. With constant traffic to McDonald's and Greg's opposite. Decor very dark

The food was ordinary.

Breakfast was a basic buffet style offering and had the usual ingredients. The cold selection whilst good could have had a few more items of fruit not just the fruit salad that was preserved in bowls, banana, apple, pears etc

The breakfast items depending on what time you got to the buffet were either overdone or cold when you reached your table. The quality was good however, it might be an option to buy at a reduced rate the items off the main breakfast menu and have those cooked and served to you.

Room was nice n large with items like iron n hair dryer available. Buffer break was very nice.

Breakfast and evening meals were good, wide selection available, I liked the fact that dogs were kept to a separate area, as much as I like them I don’t want to eat alongside them. The room was large and very quiet, although I had inadvertently booked an accessible room so was surprised by the wet room, etc.

Security not great, the fire/ security door to the room corridors was constantly unlocked and open.

Breakfast as a buffet was not as good as it can be. For example, eggs (fried) were overcooked and hard, no other options available. If the hotel offers buffet style, there should be a cook who can make eggs fresh.

Lovely stay , nice big rooms, the bar area is lovely and meals nice. The staff were very helpful, loads of free parking available would definitely stay here again.

We think the price was high ,for an inn towards a hotel.

The room was comfortable, spacious and clean, the bed was also comfortable for our short stay

The breakfast was relatively small, and didn't really cater much to vegetarians or vegans (my partner is a vegan). The drinks were pricey, £10.50 for a lager shandy and a large coke.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large family room that was perfect for our stay. Generous breakfast and great food in the restaurant for evening meals plus excellent local ales. Rapid EV chargers available across the road which was really convenient during our stay.

1. Booked in & was given room 22 however it was already occupied!? Gave us room 6. Room 6 is noiser...closer to the main road. 2. Breakfast. Music with loudish high energy songs...let's keep it quieter more relaxing or no music.

Our room was a bit noisy as near to the road. No A/C which would not normally be a problem but with the current warm weather and not being able to leave windows open with road noise it was. Fan provided in the room helped.
