The breakfast was terrific. Can't recommend the porridge enough - properly set me up for the day. And the beds were super comfortable. The whole place was spotless and the host really friendly and helpful.

Typischer Great Britain Charme. Alles ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen (z.B. ein rosa 70er Jahre Badezimmer) und ein bisschen plüschig, aber alles gut gepflegt und tip top sauber. Es war alles da, was man braucht, von Fön über Netflix bis hin zum Wasserkocher und Kaffee Pad Maschine. Beste Lage im Zentrum von Kingussie, Kostenlose Parkplätze gegenüber. Das Betreiber-Ehepaar ist sehr freundlich, engagiert und hilfsbereit. Frühstück kann "á la carte" bestellt werden zu einem fairen Preis.

Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat. Die Einrichtung ist Geschmackssache aber man merkt, dass viel Liebe und gute Pflege drin stecken.

Easy to find off the main street. Parking across the way. Warm welcome from Des. Room on 1st floor was spotless and well appointed. No noise from passing traffic. Toiletries and hair dryer. Comfy bed. We had a small issue trying to get TV reception but host came to help. Guess it is Highland broadband and has a limit to how many guests use it. Unbelievable breakfast the following day - huge. Wondered why others at nearby table shared a plate. Order the night before. we went to the Cafe Bistro near the end of town. Great service and you can take your own wine with no corkage fee. Host allowed us to chill our wine before we left. Would certainly use this hotel if we were in the area again. Well done Team Osprey.

Internet speed perhaps but think it is the highland area. We were there ahead of a Country Game Fair - not really to watch a film or anything.

Das Ehepaar, das das kleine Hotel betreibt war unglaublich nett und hat uns auf jede nur erdenkliche Weise geholfen (z.B. Ausflugstipps, Aufbewahren von Essen, Frühstückswünsche etc.). Unser Zimmer war ganz neu und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Lage des Hotels ist prima und ruhig, sowohl im Ort mit ein paar Lokalen als auch für die weitere Umgebung.

Lovely hosts, cant do enough to make your stay pleasant, great sense of humour. Very cosy and comfy room with everything you need. Breakfasts were a talking point. Both delicious and enormous! Very helpful regarding local beautifulwalks. Had a fun evening at the local Wolf Bar pub quiz. Pub grub very nice and just down road.

Our room was called garden room but overlooked a car park and busy road. Better to be more honest about that. Parking is over the road. It's OK ...not a deal breaker.

The location, the interior decor was nice, all the flower arrangements were very nice. Nice breakfast and good value, Des and Sinead were very welcoming. Recommended.

Owners Des and Sinead could not have been more welcoming, it really was home from home. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our stay a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel was spotlessly clean and from walking in through the front door, smelt divine. Rooms were again spotlessly clean with beautiful decor. Breakfasts were beautifully presented and were delicious. It is an ideal location within easy walking distance to amenities, including places to eat, small supermarket and stunning walks. We cannot recommend The Osprey highly enough.

The owners,Des and Sinead, were very welcoming and friendly. They go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had a lovely room overlooking the park. They made a big fuss of our dog including plenty of treats. The crowning glory was Sinead"s wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend.

It was very clean and comfortable

No place to dry towels as it was a working weekend, we shower in the morning and at night. Unpleasant to dry yourself with a damp towel. Unfortunately breakfast wasn't served till 8 am, and we leave well before that time in the morning.

Sinead received us in the afternoon, and made us a delicious a-la-carte breakfast the next morning. The hotel is small and personal, neat and atmospheric. Best value we had on our trip to Schotland.

As we walked in the door we were welcomed warmly and Bobby our dog was made to feel as much at home as we were. Des and Sinead are the friendliest people and nothing is too much trouble. Our stay at the Osprey Hotel in Kingussie was honestly one of the highlights of our entire 3-week tour around Scotland. From the moment we arrived, Sinead and Des made us feel unbelievably welcome — not just as guests, but almost like family. They are two of the loveliest people we’ve ever met, and they have this rare gift of making you feel like you’re the most important people in the world during your stay. The service throughout was absolutely incredible. Every little detail was cared for with such warmth and genuine hospitality that it felt more like staying in a second home than in a hotel. The breakfasts were some of the best we have ever had anywhere. The porridge was exceptional, the mushrooms and scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, and the haggis and black pudding were absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was prepared with real care and quality ingredients. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and smelled amazing from the second we walked in. The bed was genuinely the most comfortable bed we slept in during our entire trip across Scotland. After long days exploring, coming back to the hotel felt like a luxury every single evening. The entire house is decorated beautifully, with so much character and warmth while still feeling elegant and immaculate. Everything was so clean and hygienic, and the attention to detail was obvious everywhere you looked. The location is perfect for exploring the national park, and after staying there we can honestly say it was worth every penny. We genuinely didn’t want to leave by the end of our stay because it had started to feel like a second home. Thank you so much, Sinead and Des, for making our trip so special. We loved our stay at the Osprey - we received a very warm welcome from Des after a long day exploring the highlands in the rain. Beds were comfy, breakfast was really tasty. Would love to come back!

A charming and very comfortable small hotel. The owners were very friendly and made us (and our dog) feel most welcome. Breakfast was first-rate and our room was immaculate.

Not a criticism, but please note that the hotel does not serve dinner (there options to eat nearby).

The hotel was lovely - very clean and decorated beautifully. The room was well appointed - had everything I needed (only one with a reading lamp!) It was very near the train station. Breakfasts were amazing. The best part were the hosts who treated us like family and welcomed the guests with conversation and even a "wee dram" when they entered the building.

Room was a bit chilly as was breakfast area Basic sliced bread a bit uninspiring Sinead was welcoming the evening we arrived but seemed a little stressed the next morning. Notice in bedroom instructing guests to remember to switch off lights, heaters etc. I totally agree with this on environmental grounds and of course no one wants to cause unnecessary costs, but the phraseology made it sound as if the guests were problematic in this regard. A notice encouraging turning off all appliances to save electricity would make guests feel more onside and included. Sounds petty but guests don't want to feel a bother.

We've stopped in the hotel for a night on the way to Leeds. It was like staying with friends. Des and Sinead were welcomed us with genuine warmth. The hotel felt homely and a happy place. It is anything but as a standard hotel, even outside. On entering you are in a different world of colours, quirky displays chosen with careful consideration. There is so much to look and smile at. You don't find boring beige here. The bedroom was newly refurbished, tastefully decorated with live plant in the window; equipped with the latest 'technology,' coffee and tea maker, digital heating to choose the right room temperature; large screen LG TV with all the apps like Netflix, YouTube, BBC iPlayer. Very comfortable king size bed. In the bathroom there was even make-up removal cloth which I've never seen before. The room and the building is immaculate clean. I loved the breakfast room with its colourful chairs, the live tulip display in the windows and the quirky decoration. It makes you feel good and relaxed. The table were set beautifully; everything was top notch. The breakfast was excellent. You could create your own breakfast by choosing what was on your plate. The price was good value for money. Highly recommended; you won't be disappointed. Thank you Des and Sinead for your kind hospitality.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Osprey Hotel in Kingussie. From the moment we arrived, the husband and wife owners made us feel incredibly welcome. They were so friendly, helpful and genuinely warm throughout our visit. The whole place was absolutely immaculate. Everything was spotless, from the beautifully clean bathroom to the fresh, lovely smelling bedsheets. You can really tell how much care and attention goes into maintaining the space. The décor, both inside and out, was charming and quaint, creating such a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. We had one of the best nights’ sleep we have had in ages. Our kids loved their stay just as much as we did, especially since the owners clearly made them feel adored and welcome (sweet treats offered were a huge hit) which made it even more special for us as a family. Breakfast was another lovely, with generous portions, delicious food and a really relaxed, enjoyable setting to start the day. The whole experience felt calm, welcoming and thoughtfully put together. It is such a gorgeous place and we truly wish we could have stayed longer. We would not hesitate to come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Des and sinead were so welcoming and helpful! The property is steps from the train station, and is centrally located to a pub and a nice walk! Des made us the most delicious curry for dinner and was lovely to chat to!

We only stayed one night with our bouncy cockerpoo, to break a long journey, but were made to feel extremely welcome by our dog super friendly hosts Des and Sinead. The accommodation was very clean and tastefully furnished and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay as comfortable as possible, with a lovely cooked breakfast to set us up for our onward journey. Conveniently situated just off the A9 in the Cairngorms we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended.
