Staff were so lovely, very friendly and accommodating, location was great and room was amazing. So comfortable

Only the disconnect between booking.com and the staff, we got messaged on booking.com that we could collect our keys at 12pm but the staff said they shouldn’t have said that as our rooms weren’t cleaned so the cleaners needed the keys

The room was great, very clean and a good size. The TV was also a good size, which was a nice bonus. It was rather hot one night, so it would be good to have the option of both a duvet and a lighter blanket.

Nothing, I was very happy with my stay.

We stayed here the night of our wedding and also had our post wedding drinks here and it was wonderful!! The rooms were beautiful and service fantastic!

Breakfast is not included but there are good options nearby.

Very clean, room was very well equipped with drinks, biscuits and toiletries. The decoration was stylish. Friendly staff in pub. Easy to let ourselves in and out.

Nothing not to like. A personal preference only, I found the bed a little hard and a mattress topper would really help.

I loved the selection of different drinks, coffee machine in the room, variety of biscuits. The bed was extremely cozy and really warm. We had a nice Dyson fan in the room to cool down, if needed. Bathroom was lovely and had choice of 2 different shower heads. Absolutely loved big rain effect like shower head. The pub was nice, cozy and lovely for a drink. Even though the pub was quite lively and busy, with outdoor area straight under our window, surprisingly we heard no noise what so ever. Staff was really welcoming and helpful at check in and check out...lovely, chatty and friendly bunch! X

The bed was a bit small for us, but that’s something we would take in consideration next time. Comfy beds though!

Wonderful location, beautiful room, cool atmosphere!

Excellent room was well decorated. An older building with historic features but the room was clean, smarrtly decorated with all modern features and an excellent bed and shower. Very close to local amenities and public transport links. Lovely helpful and welcoming staff.

The accommodation was spotless

The room which was described as cosy was too small for 2 adults. It was also noisy after midnight. Our room was above the beer garden and some patrons stayed on when the bar closed. The neighbours are literally over the wall from the beer garden and were entertaining on their patio well after midnight. We could hear every word they said.

The decor, the rooms, the staff. Everything was more than excellent and we’d absolutely recommend!

Recently refurbished rooms which are lovely. Great quality linen. I didn't use them but coffee machine plus kettle and all needed to use those. Also 2 bottles of water which I swapped from still to fizzy. Lovely bathroom with sensor lights. Shower is great with big square head and separate smaller hand held too. TV has lots of app related channels. All staff and owner super welcoming and friendly. Was big fan in the room and I kept the blind closed during the day to help keep room as cool as possible. I just slept on top of bed under just a sheet so was fine temperature wise. Sat out in the garden during the day to finish some work. I will certainly stay again.

Nothing they can change but mention so others with mobility issues are aware that there are lots of narrow stairs to rooms. Its an old building so to be expected. Would be great if sorted the door up to rooms so doesn't slam and wake those on 1st floor. Ditto some signage on gate to remind others staying to close quietly when return late at night as was woken a few times.

The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating after being told about my mobility needs. They arranged a lovely room just one level above the ground-floor pub, helped with my bags, and let me store my wheelchair safely downstairs - all of which made the stay much easier for us. The room itself was excellent, and the fan was a tremendous help.

The room became very hot because there was no air conditioning and it was 33 degrees celsius outside, although the fan helped a lot. We could hear some noise from the pub below, but it did not bother us. The booking page was clear that it was not accessible, but as a helpful suggestion, a few more photos of the staircases and areas outside the rooms - or just a simple count of steps needed to reach each room would make it easier for guests with limited mobility to judge which room might work for them.

Lovely host, very friendly and showed us round. The room was very nice and the bathroom was absolutely stunning, I could have stayed just in there!

It’s a shame about the area. I booked this as we were going to Hackney Registry Office and this was close by but I would have felt uncomfortable on my own in the town

The room was vert clean. It was well decorated. The shower was excellent as were the tea and coffee making facilities. All that was missing was air-con!

I t was really hot but this wasn't the fault of the accommodation London was in the midst of a massive heatwave & despite the huge fan in the room, the room was stifling due to its size and the outdoor temperature

The door to the balcony could do with a hook to stop it blowing closed as it was so hot and the fan wasn't quite sufficiant to keep the room cool

Very friendly staff. The twin bunk bed room was spotless as was the ensuite. The only downside, and it's not something easily remedied, but again another heatwave, with two adults, hot air being circulated with a big fan it got very uncomfortable. We could not have done another night. That being said, I would definitely come back on a cooler day! I loved the bar and outside area and would have loved to have spent more time there but we were at a concert the evening of our stay.

Location was handy for the concert we attended. Short walk to Hackney downs and Hackney Central. Cosy room above a lovely pub. Nice and quiet. Provided a large Dyson fan. The pub was extremely well air conditioned and staff and locals very friendly..

Very hot weather which is not their fault. Grateful for fan but the cosy room was very hot. This would be fine in our usual weather.

Better than expected, room and facilities was excellent. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us as we needed to drop our bags early.best nights sleep very comfortable bed.

Lovely modern room, clean, comfy bed and even a cute little balcony. Pub downstairs is lovely and quaint too. Host and staff are so lovely and couldn't be more helpful, even had the fan on ready for our arrival! Would definitely stay again.

Had been worried about noise from the pub, but that didn’t go on too late and the fan meant we could close the window to cut street noise from a lively area.

Great location and close proximity to local attractions and shops. Friendly staff and modern, clean rooms. Great proper pub downstairs with good atmosphere and a lovely little sun trap beer garden. Good value cafe next door for breakfast too!

Spotlessly clean. We were in bunk beds which were , I think, a 3/4 size. Very comfortable, good mattress and pillows. Everything very clean.

Das Bett war in Zimmer ohne Fenster. Schieber zu kleinem hübschen Bad mit großem hübschen Fenster. Leider ging bewegungsmelder licht immer neben dem Klo gleich an auch nachts. Fenstern war durchsichtig

The friendly Serena made our horror from fire in the hotel where we were supposed to stay welcoming and warm with a nice cup of coffee at the checkout.

There was nothing to dislike.

It is a very cute accommodation, comfortable room with good mattresses, little kitchen, nice shower. Although it is above a pub, there is no noise at all. The bus stop is right in front of the accommodation and there is an overground nearby as well.

We were there during the heatwave and our room in the attic was just incredibly hot. The staff provided a fan but unfortunately that could not cool down the room properly either so despite of the comfortable beds, the first night we could not sleep much due to the heat.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. Great staff! Very fun and welcoming atmosphere. Many great shops/restaurants in the immediate area. Would love to come here again during the cooler months.

This property does not have air conditioning. As other reviewers have mentioned, my travel partner and I happened to stay here during a severe heat wave. It was very hot inside of the room, and very difficult to enjoy our stay in turn.

The staff and the pub were great, along with the room.

We were on the top floor and unfortunately in the heat wave it was unbearable to sleep in and left at 4:30am

It was a great location for going to seeing a concert at The London Stadium, the room was clean and cosy and ticks the boxes for a nights stay.

This is absolutely no reflection on The Crown because they did all they could to help make things more comfortable but we stayed during the heatwave when the temperatures were unprecedented and to say it was hot and airless in the room is an understatement.

Great location for the wedding at Hackney Town Hall. Lovely bedroom and bathroom and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great pillows and linen.

Not the fault of the Crown - we just happened to be there on the hottest days on record. Soooo humid!!

The room was extremely hot owing to the outside temperature and it's position at the top of the building. The Dyson fan did what it could but aircon would have really made a difference.

The room was spacious and clean and lovely, with a high ceiling. I loved the balcony. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive.

This inn is above a bar with karaoke nights. It's actually very sweet to watch and enjoy; but bring ear plugs.

The location was great and the room was really lovely and comfortable.

The only very small downside of room 11 was the window next to the toilet overlooking the smoking area and flats at the back. With no window blind, we felt that people could easily see into the room when we needed to use the toilet!

I was greeted by friendly staff who swiftly took me to my room. The room has all the facilities you need. It was lovely to wake up and make a fresh coffee and very delicious biscuits and the shower was amazing. The bed was very comfortable.

The room was tiny but nicely decorared and clean, the bathroom was neat and it had a window we could open to let the fresh morning air in. I also love the cadburry chocolate and tea they leave next to the coffee capsules. Walking around the area was nice there is a park behind the hotel and a pedestrian Street with shops and little cafés. The underground station and bus stops are very close.

The Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Clean, well equipped, well connected with overground and buses. Shower with good temperature and pressure. Though it is situated above the pub, it is surprisingly quiet throughout my weekday stay.

If I’m being picky, the small twin room I stayed needs a small chair / stool, and also a hairdryer.

We loved the central location, the room and bathroom with full bath was lovely.

Not sure it could have been better, but the room is above a pub and main roads, so not the quietest place to stay. It is part of the offering and the room was reasonably well insulated.

Very clean , lovely staff and being a plumber always check the bathrooms 100% spot on perfect 👏well done to you all who made us feel so welcome definitely come back again 👍❤️
