The only very slight negative was the shower was not very powerful but adequate. Please don’t serve the butter on the breakfast plate keep it separate as melted butter makes a bit of a mess of one’s clothing. These are purely helpful hints rather than negatives. Would go back in a flash.

The room was large, and the curtain separating the bed areas was really good. Two tvs, great! Breakfast delicious

Carpets old and dirty.. stain in the main bedroom. No long mirror. When it’s raining hard, you can’t open the dormer window so it’s very stuffy. Nowhere to put your washbag in the bathroom, we had them on the floor..No where to put on make up with decent light, very dark in the room, bulbs broken.. stairs up are steep for an elderly person and no one to help with luggage, no offer. Restaurant area dirty feeling do b we cancelled and eat down the road..

Nice location and the food was good.

The room door needs to be fixed because it kept jamming. Consider making the restaurant area dog friendly at night because it is for breakfast in the morning.

The location is excellent-because of the proximity to the lake district and to the station.The atmisphere is nicely informal, but the service is really good.

Bett sehr schmal, Badezimmerentlüftung defekt. Um das Fenster zu öffnen muss man ca. 1,90 m groß sein.

It was perfect for our family of 4 and pet dog. Had wonderful stay and next day beautiful English breakfast. Opposite to this site are hills and people who enjoy walking can climb up to the hill and enjoy the scenery.

The property was great, the thing that let it down a little was the food. We got there on a Sunday evening and found the menu choice limited with several sold out items. What we did order arrived quickly but the quality wasn’t great.

The pub/restaurant was decorated lovely, very cozy. Staff were friendly and breakfast was included which was very nice and a lot of choice. we hadnt booked for dinner but staff were able to accommodate us.

The family room was very clean and comfortable.

Staff were great, food was really good and the beer garden was lovely.

There were lots of varieties of tea in the room and more than enough milk but a coffee sachet would have been nice.

A very cosy place with lovely rooms at a great price. The restaurant was excellent and we enjoyed an evening meal and our breakfast. We had a super one night stay on our way travelling south. This Inn is very close to the M6.

Couldn't fault the place. Only point would be some upgrading is needed to the woodwork around the entrance to the annex for the bedrooms.

Third visit, excellent as always, can recommend the pulled pork burger, food and cleanliness so consistent from year to year, as are the staff

This B&B is in a fantastic location very close to the west coast mainline at Oxenholme. The pub itself is excellent with a great food menu and wide selection of drinks. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and quiet.

Lovely clean room and the breakfast was delicious

Room was fine helped as easy to access for my wife who has difficulty walking. Meals were lovely.

The room was okay ,paint coming off the walls in the bedroom and also in the bathroom. Our room was on the ground floor so we couldn't open the curtains because the other side of the window was an eating area where people were sitting .

This was our second visit to the property as we enjoyed it so much last year I would highly recommend a stay here you will not be disappointed The food, staff, service, are second to none family run establishment who really look after you The rooms are so tastefully decorated and spotless clean Well done to you all

Das gute, englische Frühstück. Leider gab es kein Obst. Das große nett gestaltete Zmmer mit zwei Stirzgelegenheiten d.h. es musste nicht, wie in den meisten Hotels einer auf dem Bett sitzen!

Die Lage des Zimmers im Innenhof des Pub mit seinem lauten Kühlgebläse. Das Fenster war zwar schalosoliert, aber ein Öffnen verbot sich aufgrund des dann doch sehr lauten Gebläses. Das Badezimmer könnte bessere Möglichkeiten für das Aufhängen der Handtücher bieten.

The room.was amazing, the bed was huge, the bar area was nice and busy, and the food in the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. Nice walk directly opposite the accommodation with amazing views out over Morcombe bay.

Das Zimmer war perfekt, Bilder entsprechen der Wirklichkeit, gemütlich, sauber (!), die Betten sind sehr gut, wir haben super gut geschlafen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und entspannt, das Pub belebt von locals, die Nähe zum Bahnhof ideal. Insgesamt 11 von 10 Punkten!

The b&b was cosy with everything you could need. Despite being located behind the pub we had no issues with noise.

To me the breakfast could’ve been better. More of a choice of foods like croissants, yoghurts, a coffee machine so you don’t feel guilty asking for another or a third.

me and my friend stopped here to do the lakeside ultra marathon it was in good location to where the marathon started just a 5 minute drive away. We found the station inn to be a really friendly place they also did really nice food i can highly recommend staying there

Good stop over for the night. The pub gave us a good choice of food at reasonable prices. Our room was extremely spacious.

Could do with a few more teabags and milk on arrival.

I loved the whole holiday. The room was big and clean and comfortable. The location was good for walking to the Helm and to the railway station.

The only thing I didn't like was the rainy weather. I need to go back when it's sunny. Even in the rain, we (me and Winston the beagle) had a great time, though.

Perfect for a one night stop

The location was nice, I stayed for 1 night with my husband and 2 dogs. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. The bar was well set out and welcoming, food very nice and the ale was lovely and the dog walk on the doorstep was a bonus. Would book again

My dogs were disappointed with the lack of dropped food on the floor.

Stay only marred by very noisy guests in the room above us who kept us awake with noisy tv then started talking loudly and walking around on the very squeaky floor at 5.50. Sounded as if the ceiling was going to come down. Shame as really nice place in all other respects.

We stayed on the ground floor so we did hear the occasional noise from the room above, but all withing normal. The road next to the building was not too busy either. So all well in terms of noise. The breakfast was really nice and the kids rated the porrige as the best of the trip. They also enjoyed the playground.

The one thing that I would change is the keypad lock, which is complicated to use. The WI fi also had some difficulties that day.

Strange smell in bathroom. Very noisy. Could hear everything from room above even when male guest used the loo! Floorboads extremely creaky felt as if elephants were charging about.

Very friendly staff, easy check-in and the accommodation and breakfast were good. Nice and quiet with only a small number of guest accommodated and located in 'the sticks' amongst the rolling hills with ample parking spaces. The room was very pleasant although the very heavy and thick duvet proved far too warm and a plain sheet might have been a good option.

Clean and comfortable rooms, quiet location and very friendly helpful staff. Very popular with locals and a large busy restaurant with a very varied menu so something for everyone also lots of outdoor seating and easy parking on site.

We did find our room quite noisy due to people in the room above us stomping about and dropping things on the floor! Would stay again but would request a first floor room.

The location was good as near the station, however to get to Kendal to then explore the lakes required a bus journey. The buses were not too regular and took a while to get to Kendal. It's great if you have your own transport.

Accommodated large group. Plenty of parking space. Large accommodation with comfortable rooms and nooks and crannies for a substantial amount of guests. Great access from m6 and petrol stations. Food was brilliant. Staff were very accommodating, friendly and well trained. We were there bank holiday weekend and inn was well prepared.

Noise! We had a ground floor room, this might be an old building but the sound proofing from upstairs is ridiculous, every step made our room shake, we could hear their conversations. This really isn’t good enough for a stay costing £120. We didn’t stay for breakfast. Having been woken up at 6am seemed little point in hanging around for 2 hours to eat. We did email the hotel after but had no reply.

Food was excellent. Dinner .noticed the large portions ..we shared main, noproblem. Soup was delicious. Had exactly what we wanted for breakfast. Poached eggs were perfect. Full english was good.

Zuerst mal waren die Mitarbeitenden alle superfreundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer war riesig und mit seinem Schrägdach sehr charmant und gemütlich. Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt und ich wünschte, wir hätten mehr Zeit dort verbringen können.

Zu beachten gilt wahrscheinlich einfach, dass man unbedingt reservieren sollte, wenn man dort zu Abend essen möchte. Es war sehr gut besetzt (was wahrscheinlich auch auf die grosse Menu-Auswahl und das leckere Essen zurückzuführen ist).
