The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel

We spent 8 nights here, in the heart of Midtown, location being great. 👍 The breakfast was so rich, from 6³⁰ to 12⁰⁰, in this way giving us a chance to sleep more after 20 km per day. 👍 The room was fine, big TV, clean bed sheets and towels. 👍

Estava extremamente receoso pelos comentários que tinha lido e a nota, porém o hotel é perfeito, Eles me ofereceram um quarto no andar Manhattan que era pouca difença de preço e não se isso justificou, mas o quarto apenar da localização era silencioso, quarto tudo novinho, com água e gelo de graça no andar. Enfim, fiquei encantado com hotel e valeu cada centavo do valor pago.

O café da manhã muito fraco e para quem fica mais dias como fiquei, acaba comendo sempre a mesma coisa. Algo que não posso deixar passar despercebido, eramos 7 amigos em dois quartos. Chegamos juntos no hotel, apesar da reserva ter sifo feito individualmente. Eles um casal com 2 filhas e ao chegar no hotel, por volta de 19h não tinha quarto para eles, mandaram subir para um quarto que tinha hospede. Eles voltaram para recepção pedimos para falar com o gerente e ele se recusou a descer, conversar e resolver o problema imediatamente. Demorou e muito para resolver a situação. Nós fizemos todo roteiro de viagem juntos, escolhemos o hotel no mesmo momento e essa recusa do gerente em nos atender impactou na minha impressão no hotel no momento do checkin

The location is amazing. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, with spacious rooms.

Our room was not cleaned properly, we had black hair on the shower walls when we checked in. The staff was rude at moments, telling us we may or may not have a room ready when we booked back in January. The elevators were also down the entire time so it took us forever to get up and down them daily.

Location is brilliant, although the noise even on the higher floors is pretty loud at night

No real facilities to speak of. There are 4 lifts in the building, 2 of them never worked and 1 was intermittent. This left only 1 working lift during most of our 4 night stay. Allow an extra 10 minutes when travelling to accommodate waiting for the lift. Rooms were OK. Shower floor was peeling, not great decor.

Two tier breakfast system was very disappointing as when booking this was not clear whatsoever that breakfast in my booking was totally inadequate. Elevators were not working. Room suggests there is working air con because of the existence of a panel on the wall, but there is no air con in the room. Flat rate of $120 agreed in hotel for airport transport, but when paying it was more.

When I finally got the room that I paid for I did like my room

I didn’t care for some of the staff. I didn’t care for the first one I received, which was outdated and things didn’t work along with my shower overflowing. I did not like that. The elevators did not work our entire day and we had to use the service elevators. I did not like that. I did not have access to working outlets and that the wood on my bed was coming apart. I did not have anywhere to sit in my room.

Great location, good value for money. Most staff helpful band friendly. Breakfast very basic, one coffee or juice, 1 pastry, 1 fruit. Room was nice, has just been renovated.

Better choice at breakfast. Sometimes waited a while for the lift as very busy at times.

Recensito malissimo in realtà abbiamo trovato una stanza (Manhattan floor 20th piano) confortevole e pulita. La pulizia non era eccellente ma molto buona. Alcune pecche ci sono, la camera aveva un condizionamento vecchio e rumoroso (lo abbiamo spento). La posizione era fantastica, a destra Times Square a sinistra Central Park. Metro vicinissime, servizi vicinissimi. La colazione Grab &Go non è certamente una colazione all'italiana è una colazione veloce ma per una partenza mattutina va bene. Inclusa in questa colazione c'è una bevanda calda o fredda, una brioches, un frutto.

La stanza aveva un condizionatore mezzo rotto e molto rumoroso. Lo abbiamo spento. Una parete era un po' scrostata. Ascensori non sempre funzionanti tutti...ci vuole un po' di pazienza

We arrived after the official check-in time but still had to wait severals hours for a room, with no clear explanation or estimate! After a long transatlantic flight, this was very stressful, especially as we were told there was no room available and we even started worrying that we might have to find another place to stay. No water or reassurance was offered. The room was also not very comfortable: there was no wardrobe, the clothes rail was too low, and housekeeping did not come for two days in a row, so I had to call reception to ask for fresh towels. Elevators were very slowly and some of them broken. We also seen huge queue on reception other days in Check in time

El engaño, contratas una habitación moderna y te alojan en una con mas de 30 años de antigüedad, vieja, sucia y malhotiente. Nos pasó a nosotros y varios clientes mas. Nos quejamos y nos cambiaron a la moderna. El desayuno, sólo te dan una pieza de fruta, croissant y una bebida. Deprimente. Los ascensores, eran 4 y estaban todos los dias estropeados, hasta nos tuvieron que rescatar porque se estropeó en mitad de un rellano. Y otro día no funcionaba ninguno y desde la planta 18 bajando por las escaleras de emergencia

The elevators were having issues all 4 days. At one point I had to walk down 5 floors and get off to try and get an elevator to work. My first night there was dirt on one of the pillows, and small flies in the bathroom. The peep hole cover was broken and open for anyone to look in.

El alojamiento fue bueno. Cuando llegamos al cuarto no había aire acondicionado el de mantenimiento vino y lo prendio molesto porque se le llamo. Había Que usar un estimator para abrir la tapa del panel para poder activarlo. La banera parecia el piso una tabla de surfing en las olas.

Great location and spacious room for a family, fairly modern amenities. The room was clean and the bathroom 8 out of 10! The views were great and for most of the time the hotel is quiet despite being in a noisy location.

The staff was nice but not friendly. Only half of the elevators were running and the breakfast was actually more of a snack meal - a combo of a drink, pastry and 1 piece of fruit. Very limited options, hard not to repeat in a 4 day stay. Lastly (summer time) the AC was not working properly, not cold or abble to turn it off during the night

The photos that are available on Booking, are very far away from the reality, basically those photos are taken for the top few floors only. All the rest are just horrible, old, dirty. The first room we have got, was literally full of human shit in the bathroom, no bed at all. Do not ever go there! We changed the hotel after one horrible night spent there.

Extremely disappointing experience – I would not recommend this hotel My stay at Manhattan Times Square was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience, especially considering that I was on vacation and simply wanted to relax and enjoy my trip to New York. When I first checked in, I was assigned a room that was extremely old and outdated, honestly looking like it belonged to the 1980s. The condition of the room was far below what I expected based on the hotel’s presentation, the price I paid, and the standard I expected from a hotel in such a central location. I immediately requested a room change. After complaining and with the help of Leya, I was eventually able to change rooms. I appreciate her assistance, but having to deal with this situation was already a major inconvenience. I was on vacation, and the last thing I wanted was to spend my time complaining, packing my belongings, moving to another room, and dealing with hotel issues. Guests should not have to go through this simply to get a room that is acceptable. Unfortunately, the problems continued. I also checked out one day earlier than my original reservation, on August 17 instead of August 18. I had contacted the reception well in advance to inform them of my early check-out. I also contacted the hotel through Booking.com regarding the unused night. The hotel confirmed to me that the remaining night would be refunded. However, despite this confirmation, I have still not received the refund. This is extremely frustrating because I did everything I was supposed to do: I informed the hotel in advance, I checked out one day earlier, and I received confirmation that the unused night would be refunded. Yet, despite the confirmation, the money has still not been returned. In addition, I had another unresolved issue concerning the $100 security deposit taken from my card.

Ottima posizione e la hall molto moderna

Con colazione inclusa si intende una bevanda e un sacchetto con una merendina confezionata e un frutto. Le stanze sono datate e non troppo pulite con una moquette sporca e con dei rialzi Inoltre non dava l impressione di essere una stanza troppo pulita e i letti sono scomodi e pendenti ai lati. Gli ascensori si sono rotti quasi tutti e quindi per scendere si impiegava un po' di tempo.

la posizione dell'hotel è perfetta, a 50 mt da Time Square e vicinissima alla metro. La Hall dell'hotel è stata rinnovata e dispone di un tavolo e zone comuni utili per la colazione o per lavorare. Le camere che avevamo prenotato erano pulite, ma presentavano mobili e arredi vecchi. il letto King è piccolo e presentava delle molle rotte. Devo dire però che erano perfettamente corrispondenti alle foto su booking, quindi abbiamo trovato quello che ci aspettavamo. Rapporto qualità prezzo per la posizione molto buono.

Avevamo chiesto 3 camere con 2 letti ciascuna perchè eravamo 10 persone, al nostro arrivo soltanto una aveva i letti doppi. L'Hotel è riuscito a portare un solo letto aggiuntivo e ci ha assegnato 2 camere Queen bad, pertanto, in una camera avremmo dovuto soggiornare in 4 ma non c'erano letti sufficienti. L'hotel ha offerto di cambiare camera i giorni seguenti ma a quel punto era troppo complicato.

Non era come nelle foto era in fase di ristrutturazione le camere facevano schifo e per prendere l ascensore dovevi aspettare un sacco di temo e poi la colazione non era quella di sempre ma al sacco una vergogna

La localización es excelente, a solo 3 minutos andando de Times Square y el desayuno también es bueno.

Las habitaciones están muy viejas incluso tienen cachos de pared con bultos como si estuviera levantándose la pintura. Lo mismo pasa en los pasillos de los pisos de habitaciones (el lobby está muy bien y nuevo).

The hotel was under renovation. First part of my stay I was in an older room. Ac and tv did not work properly. I extended my stay and was in the new renovation and it was excellent. There were only two elevators working

Locatie is perfect. We hadden twee kamers voor 6 personen (4 kinderen). De kamers waren naast elkaar en verbonden met een tussendeur zoals verzocht bij boeken. Vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel.

De kamers kunnen wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Onze badkamer had wat gebreken. Er is ontbijt inbegrepen, dit is een uitgifte balie met een broodje, fruit, yoghurtje en koffie.

To start off this review I would like to say that the location was optimal and the beds very comfortable. The staff were incredible. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable, the ac functions really well and the bathroom is also spacious. Would I stay here again? yes, but i would not be eager to stay in this hotel in particular

However, there were a few problems; we booked two rooms as we are a family of five. We wanted the children to spend more time together and then we were given three rooms instead of two which was rather disappointing. Another thing I wanted to discuss was the elevators. Every time I wanted to use the elevators, I had to wait in line, sort of like a cruise. When you get on the elevator, it shakes and rattles and makes loud noises. During the days I was there, there were only two working lifts. My father was on the 21st floor and he was woken up by renovations early in the morning. He heard people moving furniture above him.

Stinky smelly place! They sent a message asking me to pay additional £200 to upgrade my room after paying nearly £400 for two rooms a night, been my first time in NY I didn’t see any reason to! Not knowing they were giving me a stinky room, couldn’t breathe all night? Toilet was nt flushing, bed was broken, dust everywhere with stains on bedsheet! Horrible hotel, couldn’t wait for morning

The bathroom reeked of black mold and mildew because the shower was covered in it. The room had little ventilation and never got below (in my estimation) 72 degrees f, even though the thermostat said 65. My wife has asthma and she struggled to breath. Admittedly, it was very muggy in Manhattan while we stayed but if I have the windows closed and the AC is working right, we should not have had that experience. And we were on the 18th floor in a "newly renovated" room. The rest of the room was as clean as housekeeping could likely get it. Even though the room was apparently recently renovated, it still came off as rundown and needing attention to the details (like the stained and uneven blinds, and the phone that didn't work). The bell staff and the housekeeping staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful but some of the front desk staff seemed less than enthused and came across defensive when I brought up issues. Smiles to us guests were hard to find. And I'm not going to chalk that up to NYC mentality. Hotel hospitality should be the same across all borders: friendly and helpful, kind and empathetic. To the gentlemen who addressed our experience while checking out, thanks again. We appreciate your effort.

DO NOT STAY! Currently FIGHTING to get my money back that they TOLD ME I would get back during my early check out. My room was God awful and did not match the pictures. The wall was peeling, smoke detector was ripped out so I could see rats in open wall. Room smelled like a sewer. Sheets had stains on them. I upgraded to a premium in hopes to avoid problem. As soon as I walked in the shower water was brown and the air conditioner was broken. They sent an engineer to my room and he said I would need a new room entirely. I went to the front desk and told them I just wanted my money back and to leave, they said "we have everything noted on your account and it wont be a problem, just go through air bnb." It has now been 14 days and they have ignored all communications from Air BnB in regard to my refund request. DO NOT STAY HERE! Not only do the photos not match the actual rooms and my stay was horrible, but they are avoiding the refund THEY confirmed for me before leaving. Avoid them. UPDATE: IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND THEY HAVE DENIED ALL CHARGE DISPUTES!

Took my daughter to NYC for the weekend to celebrate her birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better welcome! 🎉🗽 As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and checked in by Raquel. She was so nice, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She gave us some great tips on what to do, where to go, and the best way to hit some of the top spots around the city. Her kindness and helpfulness really helped make our weekend extra special. Thank you, Raquel, for starting our NYC birthday adventure off on such a great note! ❤️

El personal de recepción.Nos tuvieron más de 45 minutos esperando ,debía de haber algún problema con las habitaciones que habíamos reservado tres meses antes,que entiendo que son cosas que pueden pasar,pero la actitud,el no dar explicaciones ,el mandarnos a sentar al vestíbulo,el poner malas caras…deja mucho que desear y ensombrece el funcionamiento y la ubicación de un hotel que si no fuera por eso,sería de 10

Booked for 6 nights only stayed 1 night. After a 11 hour flight arrived in the morning at hotel put our bags in holding until the room was ready. We could not sleep due to air conditioning it was noisy and only hot humid air came out and at about 2 In the morning I went down to reception to ask the Night manager about about the Aircon he seemed not to care. In the morning I spoke to the day manager she was more professional, told me she would send up the hotel engineer to look at the Aircon, took forever for him to show up, so she came to look and took one step into the room and said it was unacceptable, when the engineer did finally show, he said that the Aircon was leaking and the room was unfit and unsafe for guests to stay in that room. At this stage a asked for a refund so I can move hotel. They did refund my stay but still charged me for the first night which to me is unacceptable. All in all a very bad experience.

Everything. Even the breakfast was poor, a cup of coffee and a doggy bag which you grab at the counter and eat it at the reception. There are better places to stay in New York than this hotel. They need a lot of work to get up to standard. For me it's a No Go hotel. I also have video of how noisy and air conditioning was.

To put it mildly, this hotel might be the biggest hotel scam I have ever seen. Two reasons: 1. We booked through Priceline and spent roughly $3,000 for 6 nights. Every picture made the hotel look beautiful and newly renovated. When we checked in, we got a room looking something like it was out of a horror movie. I asked the front desk and they told us that only one out of the 18 floors or so was renovated and those were the highest price rooms. Nowhere in the booking did it reference that only 5% of the rooms looked like they did in the picture. Ours has old carpets, brown stains in the bathroom, peeling wallpaper etc. 2. Our hotel came with free breakfast. It was noted in the booking confirmation that I got and when we checked in, the person that checked us in told us it came with breakfast included. Day one, no issues. Day two, we got told it was only for 2 people vs the 4 we had booked. We went to front desk, showed them our Priceline reservation and she gave us a card (which we still have) that says "breakfast for 4". Days 3-6 we asked for 4 and were told it was only for 2 again so we gave up and fed the kids at a coffee shop. When we checked out, we were told we were good to go. I noticed we were charged an extra $180 so I contacted the hotel. They told me we had been charged $30 per day for breakfast. I sent them proof it had been paid for and they "passed it onto accounting". In the last 6 weeks, they won't respond, they won't return calls after leaving a voicemail, and they won't pick up the phone. We have been forced to seek legal action against the hotel and have now made formal complaints to the DWP and DWCP to push for a resolution. DO NOT STAY HERE. They have the proof yet still do nothing about it. Their customer service is lousy, their hotel is disgusting and the staff are rude and nasty. I have stayed at maybe 2,500 hotels in my lifetime and this is 100% the worst experience I have ever had.

Very good customer service. Especially Raquel at the front desk, my guardian angel hostess Leía, and the doorman Gene. Made my daughter’s birthday trip memorable!

The hotel is clean and the stuff are very nice and helpful I had the chance to be supported by Racquel that guided me not only for the utilities at the hotel but also where I can visit around and handed me a brochure with all the nice places even made the exception so I can get my room before the check in time taking in consideration the long trip I had

A localização é excelente.

Nunca vi pequeno almoço tão mau. Não tem leite quente para crianças. E cada hóspede só pode escolher um pão, um fruto, uma bebida. Ao pedir mais uma água, para o meu filho foi-me recusado.

Locatia este super! Intre Times Square si Central Park, langa Broadway, nimeni nu-si poate dori mai mult! Confortul este si el asigurat. Raportul calitate/pret este net favorabil!

Mobilierul si baia cam imbatranite. Am vazut ca hotelul este in curs de modernizare asa ca nu mai comentez in plus.

I loved our view from our room breathtaking overall

I wasn’t a fan on how I was treated by the greeting staff making us feel unwelcome and giving us dirty looks like we didn’t belong there specifically the main lady who greets guests when you walk in

Hay que decir que fueron muy amables recibiendo paquetes de Amazon y el lobby es muy moderno y cómodo.

La habitación en el piso 6 no tenía nada que ver con las fotos visibles en el perfil del hotel en Booking. Se veía terrorífico y encima EL COLCHÓN DE MI HABITACIÓN ESTABA VENCIDO, estaba para tirar a la basura no cobrar por la estadía. Además la habitación tenía un estilo The Shining con cables sueltos y la pintura descascarándose.

Natürlich die Lage! Sauberkeit! Jeden Tag wurde alles! frischgemacht. Es gibt einen neuen Betreiber, das Hotel erhält einen neuen Namen: Crowne Plaza Aktuell werden sukzessive die Etagen modernisiert. Also sollte man sich über Preisunterschiede bei den Zimmern nicht wundern, es kommt darauf an, wo man landet. Wir hatten eindeutig ein Zimmer im nicht renovierten Bereich, deshalb auch der Preis: 4 Nächte 600 Euro für 2 Personen. Wir waren happy!

Angebotenes „Frühstück“ schlecht und teuer. Aber gleich auf der anderen Straßenseite gibt es einen Straßenverkäufer, der ist super.

Staff were lovely. Location great.

Breakfast was dreadful. Raw chewy pastries, foul. This level of hotel with this rating and for the cost, I would certainly expect fresh produce at least. It was a booth offering shop style desk, not even a plate provided. Minimal options. Not worth paying for AT ALL. Coffee was also awful. Told on arrival by a lovely receptionist (really welcoming) that guests need to be patient, its an old hotel and renovation work ongoing. I think that was a big ask, if the cost reflected the current situation, then that's fair to request that guests are patient, but it was expensive! The rating of this hotel is incorrect. It's more a 3 at a push! Also no signage outside so hard to locate. As I say? Staff were lovely though, especially the staff cleaning the rooms, friendly and fun.

clean rooms, comfortable beds , great view of the times square through our room window. bathroom had all necessary amenities and toiletteries.

firstly a/ c in the room was terrible, we were assigned a room initially in which air-conditioning was working fine but the next day it stopped working and they were not able to fix it. room lacks microwave and room refrigerator. No water dispenser. 2 elevators are functional only out of 4. same grab and go breakfast options everyday, no variations.

المكان موقعه ممتاز وقريب ع كل شي ولكن الموضفين الاستقبال تعاملهم سيء جدا وغير لبقين في تعامل الضيف الغرفه كانت بالطابق العلوي سيئه جدا الأثاث قديم علما احجز فيه كل مره مشان الموقع. ولكن موضفين االاستقبال نفس تعاملهم ونفسهم ما تغيرو قبل سنه حجزت فيه 3ليالي ولم يرجعون التامين وطالبتهم فيه هذه المره ولم اجد حل ف لم انصح به إلا إذا تغير طاقم الاستقبال او غيرو تعاملهم مع الضيف

The location and staff

The building and rooms need renovated! The ceiling was falling into the bathtub due to water damage. Got moved to another room that had a crack in the bathtub with mould coming out of it and I struggled to find a power point that worked.

Bis auf die Lobby, sehr veraltet und runter gekommen.

- Sauberkeit - Bilder sind nicht annähernd richtig - Personal sehr unfreundlich - Frühstück bekommt jeder nur ein Getränk (entweder Wasser, O-Saft oder Kaffee), ein Obst und ein Gepäck — was man in der Lobby essen darf

How close it was to everything

Most of the staff where rude and not helpfull at all, the room was way over priced for what we got and not as advertised in the photos, breakfast was a grab and go not worth the money at all, the room was filthy and didnt fix the problem that was reported, room had black mold paint was peeling off the walls, thick brown gunk around the bathroom, walls dented scratched and not in good condition curtains never closed properly so pools of light shone in. Carpets appeared to not have been hoovered, carpets within the hallways not laid properly and presented a health hazard, concierge didnt speak to morning staff so almost didnt end up with breakfast that we paid for as we wherent initially on the list. All round really bad experiance and will be taking my business elsewhere for my next upcoming visit to NYC.

I didnt know the difference between standart and premium rooms. They got me a room on the 9th floor it was a disaster. Super rusty and old. And there was a bad smell. Then they asked me to pay the difference of $220 for premium Rooms i had to pay and then we had a great room. And it has been 4 days and they still didnt return my security deposit back

Las habitaciones y los baños están muy anticuados. Solo funcionan 2 de los 4 ascensores, por lo que se tarda un montón en subir y bajar a las habitaciones. Contratamos el desayuno incluido y te dan una pieza de bollería, una fruta y una bebida, pero no tienen comedor.

I have just returned from a five night stay in New York at this hotel,after reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried about staying here,we shouldn’t have been.Yes they are in the middle of a refurb and our rooms were a bit dated,but they were clean,comfy beds,air conditioned which was very much needed.The location was great and surprisingly quite quiet on an evening.The staff were all very nice,Raquel on reception was lovely and for about $10 I could get a cup of tea and pastry from the place down in reception where I was served by Salwa who was a very lovely lady.Myself and family would gladly stay here again and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
