Beautiful resort
We have been staying at this beautiful resort for the past 6 years and love it. However, during our recent 7-night stay, we had one very disappointing experience. After driving around the island all day on the evening of August 20th, upon arriving, we wanted to briefly stop at the turnaround to drop our belongings in our room before returning our rental car. Valet told us we couldn't stop even for a few minutes and had to use the $8/hour parking garage. The manager, Cassy, also refused to make an exception. When I said this lack of flexibility would make me reconsider returning for all future stays, she shrugged and said she didn't care. She rather make $8 from parking and miss out on the future years of earning. Sad to see such rigid service over an $8 fee for a loyal, exhausted guest.
We had a suite with interconnecting rooms. The room was fantastic. Very spacious and the views over Diamond Head were amazing. Great location right in the heart of all the Waikiki action.
I was upgraded to a suite that was very very far from the elevators, but was extremely nice. Bellman helped me move things from our event to the suite and then to my car. Enjoyed the suite immensely.
The suite was very far from the elevators and at times the elevators were very crowded. It was also difficult to hear the elevator bell on the 2nd floor. The scale in the suite did not work, but everything else there was very nice. Also the tv did not have the HGTV or Cooking channel, which I like, but this was not serious. The carpet was a little worn and the extension phone in the living room was not functional, but everything else was really great!

Free breakfast would’ve been really nice
Fantastic hotel in a beautiful location
Need sun umbrellas around the pool for shade.
Location of hotel great and some of the staff.
Asked for a quiet room and didn't get it. The sound of the doors closing from other rooms was very loud. Sound proofing was none existent! Also, they are changing location of pool bar to a worse position...crazy decision!!
Location was great. Beautiful view from room. Restaurant for dinner was excellent. Fun to see giant turtles and durfers from deck.
If you weren’t careful about closing deck door you would be visited by visiting pigeons. They did leave if you chased them out.
Nagyon jó helyen van!

The check in staff were not welcoming and one in particular quite rude

nothing
Genuinely everything. The location of the property was extremely convenient as it was close to all the best restaurants and shops and at no point did i feel like i was worried about forgetting something because everything was located below on the lobby. The beach and view were exceptional and we didn’t want to leave the hotel as it was perfect. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back again

Excellent service. I left my cell phone in my room and they taxied it to the airport before my flight.
Nothing
Ocean view great , room not cleaned properly , Needs a deep clean overall . The bidet was a great added feature.
The food at the restaurant was not the best and expensive.

Our stay had both positive and negative aspects, and I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience. The property offers several enjoyable amenities. I appreciated that there were separate adult and family pool areas, which allowed guests looking for a quieter atmosphere to relax while still providing an excellent kids’ pool with a fun water slide. The location is also convenient, with easy beach access. While the hotel restaurant was acceptable, I would highly recommend Island Vintage Coffee next door for breakfast. Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our overall experience. We encountered roaches in our room on the 26th floor as well as near the elevator on the same floor, which was very disappointing. Our room keys repeatedly deactivated throughout our stay, requiring multiple trips to have them reprogrammed. The elevators were also extremely hot with little to no ventilation, likely due to the age of the building. In addition, both the adult and family pools were completely out of towels by 9:00 a.m., which seemed unusual for a resort of this size. The hotel was also consistently crowded due to outside conferences being hosted during our stay. Because the property provides public beach access, there was a constant flow of non-hotel guests walking through the resort, which made the common areas feel much busier than expected. I do want to recognize Manager Paul, who was professional, pleasant, and genuinely attentive when I shared my concerns. He provided complimentary ice cream and drink vouchers for our family on our final day, and I appreciated his willingness to listen and address the issues. However, one experience left a lasting impression and is ultimately why I do not plan to return. My 11-year-old Black grandson was approached at the pool and asked what room he was staying in. Earlier that day, the pool staff had told us they had run out of wristbands and that he did not need one. We also remove the room key from the children’s wrists while they are swimming because they had already lost them in the pool more than once. Despite our family having already been staying at the hotel for a full week, he was singled out and questioned directly. I believe it is inappropriate and potentially unsafe to ask a child for their room number. If guest verification is necessary, staff should always approach the accompanying adults—not the child. Paul explained that the pool attendants are contracted employees and assured me he would speak with them because children should never be approached in that manner. I appreciated his response, but the incident significantly impacted how safe and welcome our family felt. While the resort has many appealing features and some excellent staff members, the combination of cleanliness concerns, operational issues, and this final experience means I will most likely choose a different hotel for future visits to Waikīkī.
We booked the Malia suite based on the Sheraton’s own photos. Turns out there are 2 versions of the Malia suite, and we got the non-website version. Would not have booked this version. Did not know there are two versions. We asked to move to version 1 and were told it’s not possible. Entire room layout is different. Teeny tiny wardrobe, no closets, no mirrors, or full-length mirror, other than in the restroom. Linens and beds uncomfortable. Hotel staff would not help us with room, or move us another day. Hotel carpets, especially elevator are stained and poor looking. Ran out of pool towels at 10 am and were told to use room towels. Overly crowded and family pool was small and adult pool for over 16.
Excellent hotel! We booked a spacious sea view suite with two private balconies, and the views were absolutely worth it. The resort offers a wide range of amenities, and the valet service was consistently fast and efficient. The property is centrally located and features private beach access, an adults-only pool, and a separate family pool, making it a great choice for all types of travelers. The on-site breakfast and coffee shops were excellent, with good quality food at reasonable prices. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway.

Great place to go with the family. Nice pool and direct access to the beach. Staff is friendly, special shoutout to Dalton, a bellman who goes above and beyond to make sure our family has a great time! Highly recommend!
Great location. Lots of food options nearby but the food at the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely overpriced for what you get. We had the 2-bedroom family suite and it was a great amount of space for our family. My biggest complaint, and I cannot overstate this, THE MUSIC AT THE POOL IS HORRIBLE. Literally everywhere else on the island plays great music, whether it’s restaurants, stores you’re walking past, boat charters, other hotels we walked through, public shopping areas, etc etc etc. Whoever chooses the music at the serenity pool needs to be fired. It’s infuriating.
A perfect hotel. On our first evening, we were not satisfied with the room we were initially given. We had booked an oceanfront room, but we couldn't actually see the ocean from it. After a brief discussion, the staff kindly changed our room, and the new one was exactly what we had expected. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel has everything you could need, and despite the large number of rooms and floors, the elevators are incredibly fast. We didn't purchase the hotel breakfast, but the **Honolulu Coffee** café on the ground floor serves an excellent breakfast at much more reasonable prices than the hotel's restaurant. One thing that wasn't clear to us beforehand was that the premium pool and beach loungers (the cushioned ones in the shade) need to be reserved and paid for online in advance. Fortunately, ChatGPT had warned us about this, so we made a reservation ahead of time. We noticed that many other guests were unable to get sun loungers or umbrellas because they hadn't known about the reservation system. We absolutely loved this hotel. It was clean, well maintained, and we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay for first time in Hawaii. Location of hotel is wonderful along with the view. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shopping. Lots of shops located within the hotel, even a Lawsons convenience store. Check in staff were very welcoming and friendly. The staff member explained the waterproof arm band door key. Great idea to have an arm band, especially to if you want to go swimming. We were upgraded to a massive one bedroom ocean view suite, which we really appreciated. Room was in great condition & was very clean. Comfortable bed with good quality linens and pillows. Massive bathroom with double sinks. Very large good shower. Also had a bath tub. Highly recommend booking an ocean view room - well worth the money.
Great location! A little overcrowded.
View from the room was stunning

This place was terrible and so was the service in the lobby. The rooms are not very nice even though we were told they were remodeled. I had a suite about 900-1000 sqft. The bathrooms were old, smelled and the shower was cheap and had an old bath tub in it. There was no Spa on the grounds, no room service, no bathrooms close to the gym so when you were working out and needed a rest room you had to travel 2 floors to get one. That made another long wait for the elevator to get to you as they are always jammed packed. Evlevator wait time in the Sheraton could be up to 10-15 minutes both ways. It’s crazy. Only one restaurant and it was fair but limited menu and always a line to order for the pool. Took 40 minutes to get 3 fish tacos. Terrible hotel, very surprised Bonvoy treated clients to this kind of sub service. Never stay here again
Proximity to everything
No free bottled water in the room
The location was perfect and within walking distance of restaurants, stores, and the beach.
The pool hours should be extended for those who like to swim early or late.
This is in a prime location in Waikiki and the reason we chose this resort. But we will not stay here again. The activities hut is a joke- every morning he has a sign out that says they’re sold out of beach chairs and umbrellas. Yet, there are empty chairs on the beach as well as tons stacked against the wall. He also wouldn’t rent a surfboard to us, not sure why. It was better anyways since we rented by the day at a local shop in town. But what is the point of an Activity hut if they won’t do anything? We have travelled all the islands in Hawaii and this was the most disappointing resort- the service is not very good and is over run with clueless tourists. We just prefer classier resorts and better hospitality.
Great view from our room
Great location and has everything you could need or want in one place. Special thanks to Arlene for keeping our room so clean throughout our stay and for having a positive attitude with every interaction in the mornings.
Beautiful Resort, Pool, Amenities we were on the 12th floor on a corner suite and absolutely loved it, will return. Staff was not the friendliest, they were very strict and kind of rushed us in the front desk, other than that SOOOO Happy!
Location, pools and direct beach access. Room type matched our request. Appreciated toothbrush and toothpaste. Liked being close to other hotels. Included pool chaise chairs were plentiful though full. But that happens. Lei making and ukulele sessions were fun. Liked the shops, especially Honolulu Coffee.
I didn’t realize complimentary newspapers were available. Also, I think robes and slippers should automatically be placed in the room.
We were winding down from a busy weekend. All my daughter wanted to do was swim in the pool. AC made her experience memorable with his kind heart and wants to go back. Thank you AC!
There are many choices for resorts/hotels in Honolulu. I have stayed in many of them; however, my first overall choice is the Sheraton Waikiki Beach resort. Number one reason is the location. The Sheraton is situated right in the middle of everything and on the beach side. you can easily walk everywhere. Waikiki beach is at your back door, don't need to cross the street to get to the beach. The service is outstanding! The infinity pool is the most relaxing and beautiful spot in Waikiki. Rooms are clean and neat, over-all hotel was very neat and clean. Rum Fire restaurant has a wonderful menu and views of Waikiki beach and Diamond Head, live entertainment, seating inside and outside. I would highly recommend the ocean front Diamond Head view room, lower levels. Rent a cabana chase lounge for the day at the infinity pool, pool service available. Also, visit the Royal Hawaiian next door and Moana Surfrider, all three hotels share, dinning and pool privileges, nice perk. I will continue to make Sheraton Waikiki my go to when visiting Oahu.
The location is great but the rooms are dated and need remodeling
During our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach we had the nicest room attendant, Roger. He kept our room spotless, always friendly, helpful with our requests, and surprised us with his towel sculptures.
Stunning view, beautiful and convenience property. Been there twice and never want to go anywhere else. Amazing pool on the beach, plaza right on the lobby area. Walking distance to anywhere. You can book excursions at the lobby of the hotel. Sand day tour are available. It always make sad when I had to leave.
The ocean view [from the 26th floor] was stunning. Very clean. Maybe just a tad small - nowhere to put open the suitcase out of the way. Rumfire bar was excellent and not too busy, even on Memorial day.
It is expensive, and in the US way they do add and add extra taxes and charges onto the bill.
The Sheraton was amazing , I stayed in room 1732 ocean view room. It was simply breathtaking views. Memories will last a lifetime❤️♥️
Great location on Waikiki beach with amazing oceanfront balconies and spectacular views! We were on the higher floors and had a lovely view. Rooms are not very modern and bathrooms are small and need renovations. However it was still a very comfortable 6 night stay. We weren’t in our room a lot of the time so it was fine. We enjoyed a class in the lobby to learn how to make ribbon garlands and also play the ukulele! Check-in was smooth; there was an error in our bill on checkout but the receptionist corrected it after we pointed it out. We had a daily resort credit as part of our package. We enjoyed food at Rumfire and had drinks at the outside bar to enjoy the sunset- best passion fruit margarita in my life!! We also went to have breakfast at Moana Surfrider (great buffet) and picked up coffee and pastries from the Royal Hawaiian one day. All these are options for the resort food credit. They offered rain ponchos and umbrellas for guests because it was rainy on some of the days. They have an adult and kids pool with waterslides. There are two hot tubs (surprisingly both on the kids pool side) with very hot temperatures which are perfect even though often overrun with kids. There seemed to be a lot of people saving chairs and never using them. The hotel is in a great location with lots of eateries around and the resort overall feels relaxing and upscale. We particularly enjoyed Earl’s and walked over to the Hilton Hawaiian Village to see fireworks one night. Duke’s, Island Vintage Coffee and Marugame Udon also walkable. Easy to find car rental places nearby and if you do rent a car, you must start your day with a warm malasada from Leonard’s and a coffee from Kai!
Enjoyed our visit very much overall; however, a bit of a mishap with check-in. Reserved a King room that wasn't ready and waited 3 hours for a text that never came. Went to check in to find out what the status was (after 3 pm). Come to find out, after getting to our room, we were given 2 double beds :( The upside was our view and the housekeeper assigned to us. Roger was very thorough and kind. He surprised us with a lovely swan towel arranged on the bed. Pool service was great, too. If we could have had Dominic B service our group every day, we would have. He was quick, friendly, and kind. We would recommend staying to others. The group of 8 of us had a wonderful time!
We just checked in to the Sheraton Waikiki and this is exactly why we love staying with Marriott. The front desk staff, Logan, was so welcoming and accommodating! The views are absolutely beautiful and the location is perfect. It is close to everything there is to do in Waikiki. Already off to a wonderful stay!
Loved our stay at the Sheraton. The service from Sonny at the pool was outstanding.
I like the pool areas
Our room had a really bad order from the drain in the bathroom
Clean, friendly staff.
We had a wonderful vacation week at the Sheraton Waikiki. Our room, 944 overlooked Diamond Head and the ocean where we were able to see both the sunrises and the sunsets. We watched the surfers who were out there day and night! Our room was a one bedroom Malia Suite which was an expansive 875 sq feet with 2 balconies! The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was in a quiet area and the hotel was conveniently walkable to many restaurants. In general the hotel was very clean and the housekeeping staff kept everything pristine. We rented chairs with an umbrella at the infinity pool for 2 of the days that we wanted to relax. The cost was $170 per day but the view and comfort was priceless! There are many stores in the lobby of the hotel where you can buy snacks, souvenirs and even lunch. The access to the beach area at the Sheraton is through the Family Pool area. We did sit on the beach and enjoyed the clear beautiful ocean. The beach was very clean and was not too crowded this time of year. Prior to the trip we reserved a rental car from the hotel's Avis car rental. We drove around the entire island that day and visited Pearl Harbor and the North Shore. We are very grateful for the kindness and generosity of the Sheraton Waikiki staff and our special week in paradise!
Not enough pool chairs for the amount of guests that are here. They have only four umbrellas for the entire infinity pool section. The pool attendants are not very knowledgeable. There are no beach chairs for guests. The beach chairs are contracted through a third party. If I come to a beach resort, I expect to have beach chairs on the beach, especially for the price of this resort. They do not have a waiting list for for pool chair rentals and they don't have a required time that you have to check in. So they'll leave a beach chair all day instead of allowing someone else to rent it, that's there. Will not be coming back to this resort.
$600 a night. Total rip off. The rooms look like they are from the 1980s. Complete with ugly harsh florescent lighting. The mattress was cheap, uncomfortable and sgging. There is no beach (and hasn't been in forever thanks to rising sea levels). There is a swimming pool but it is much too small for the size of the hotel. And there are only a handfull of chairs that you can see the pool from and even less that you can see the ocean from. And those chairs cost $$$$ to get and you have to reserve them well in advance. I've lived in Hawaii 33 years and would be very very mad if I came all the way from mainland USA to this for $600 a night. I'm not happy having just driven from a mile away for this. Oh. And there is a Toto toilet that washes your behind. It is covered in the stuff that comes out of your behind. I vomited when I saw that. Stay somewhere else.
Words aren’t enough to describe the feel of this resort!! Top notch, incredibly beautiful, everything you need type of resort. Rooms and view of Diamond Head is amazing. Rum Fire grill & bar is awesome! As is the infinity pool, main pool, beach access & breakfast in the sky. Hands down recommend. Thank you for making our honeymoon memorable!!
Location. It's very well placed in the middle of shopping area and beach
Cleanliness, staff attitude
Location, location, location.
Would have loved a dedicated shower. That’s it.
The location was perfect!
The breakfast was ok but not so good.
It had everything you need! A pool, beach access, food, entertainment, and close to all stores. They upgraded me for free and they had such a friendly staff. I will be staying here again in the future. 10/10
We went to the game store where it had the claw machine. We won some prizes but it turned out the prizes were fake versions of the real ones (the sunny angels toy). For it being a nice place, I’d expect them to have real ones so people don’t get disappointed.
House keeping staff; Bart bartender; shops inside hotel
Staff member Sonny/towel services; all the darn noise from construction!!!
The location was perfect. Room very standard but everything was fine.
Bathrooms a little dated. We didn't like that it had bath tubs instead of walk in showers.
Our experience with Sheraton Waikiki was incredibly disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. We were traveling to Hawaii when a Kona storm disrupted our plans, leaving our family scrambling to find a place to stay. During a stressful situation, we called the hotel directly to book a room and were very intentional about asking the booking agent to clearly outline all additional fees. Multiple times, we were told the only extra charges would be parking and the resort fee. However, while still on the phone, the reservation confirmation came through—and it included over $600 in additional, unexpected charges. When we questioned this immediately and said we did not agree to those terms, the agent refused to cancel the booking and instead transferred us to another line. Despite addressing the issue right away, the hotel ultimately refused to cancel and charged us for half of the stay. To make matters worse, the terms and conditions were rushed through so quickly they were impossible to reasonably understand, and we were simply told they would be sent digitally after the fact. As a military family, this was meant to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip that we carefully saved for. Instead, we were left dealing with added stress, unexpected costs, and zero resolution—without ever stepping foot on the property. This experience reflects a serious lack of transparency and customer care. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how situations like this are handled in the future.
Location was great and easy to access everything.
Pretty spendy and wasn’t comfortable sleeping, the bed was lop sided, and sheets were dirty.
Service was great for room 3023 and our housekeeper Arlene always greeted us with a smile and an Aloha :)
The Sheraton was a great place to stay! Staff friendly, location was perfect. Both pools and the private beach front was also a great addition to our stay. Rooms were also very comfy with amazing views even with a partial view room we booked. Will stay again.
Only small issue for me was they required full payment up front on arrival when Booking.com mentioned pay after completion of stay. Would have rather been able to pay before stay. Minor detail but worked around it
The staff at the restaurant is great Front desk manager great Maid was amazing Location is perfect
The staff at the adult swimming pool, very rude
Excellent checking in with Mark who found us rooms for an early access to our rooms, a god send after a long flight. Very impressive view from the balcony and great access to the pools and beach. Kids loved the gym and pool tables. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Well situated for easy access to shops and restaurants. Express check out made things easy and there was no wait for the taxi.
We last minute decided to change resorts and stay at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach. To say this resort completely blew me away was an understatement. The lobby is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were a tad smaller, but still perfectly fit our family of 3. We had an amazing ocean view, and loved watching the sunset from our balcony. The location cannot be beat. It’s a great location on the strip, and all the food and shopping are minutes away. The hotel went above and beyond for the Easter holiday with hosting an Easter egg hunt for the children. It was one of the best organized hunts we’ve ever attended. On our last day, with the impending storm, the hotel organized meet & greets with Rumi and Stitch to keep kiddos occupied while stuck inside. My daughter had so much fun playing games with Rumi. My only complaint, as most other reviews mention is the pool situation. The pool/beach rentals are handled by a third party, and the staff can use some training in customer service. They had horrible attitudes, and talked very rudely to guests. At one point they were out of towels, my husband had inquired about them getting towels eventually, and the attendants said “don’t you have towels in your room, why do you need towels down here”. The folks at the beach station were a little more friendly compared to the pool station. The pool has very limited seating, so I highly suggest budgeting for cabanas. We saw a few arguments over chairs on the pool deck. I would definitely stay here again, even with the unfavorable situation at the pool. If you bring your own towels, and head to the beach only you can avoid the attendants entirely.
Location and view
Too busy and big
Excellent location. Great view! Facilities are quite new and the beds are comfortable. The balcony is awesome! I do like the water bottle a lot. Forgot to ask if they’re purchasable…
You can hear neighbor close their door and ppl talking in the hallway. If the double beds could be queens that would be great!
The infinity pool was great
Rooms seem newly renovated…modern, clean, excellent bathrooms. Quick elevators.
I liked everything about the property
