Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The room was good as expected. The staff was great and very responsive to our requests. The location was a real plus as we had easy access to the Biltmore and neighboring sites. I also really liked the policy of offering housekeeping on a "as-needed" basis.
The access to the property is a bit of a challenge because of the aftermath of the storm, combined with the current construction at the main road.

The Crowne Plaza is my favorite place to stay in Asheville and as a traveling nurse, I have stayed at many places. The pool is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
I was caught off guard with the 150.00 incidental fee( which was returned upon my exit) and the gentlemen at the front desk was not aware of the increase either because people have been “trashing the rooms. “ As it turned out, I was attacked by a pit bull because the owner who was staying there had no control over their “ pet.” When I called the front desk to report the incident ( I was afraid that dog was going to eventually hurt someone!) I don’t feel my valid complaint was taken serious although my option was to be moved to another room but after an 8 hour drive there and it being after midnight when I arrived I was not up to moving into another room. He said he would have security check the dog situation but I never received any feedback. In spite of that event, I would continue to stay at the crowne plaza.
Pool Beautiful decoration. Helpful bar and restaurant staff.
Breakfast - no sausages, waited over 30 minutes and never turned up. Didn’t issue breakfast vouchers on arrival - had to return to reception with proof it was pre- paid. Didn’t enjoy meal in restaurant. Wasn’t given any info about how to do zip line etc.
One of the top breakfast I have ever had. Top 3 easy.
More room updates, tv and working usbs
Amazing views, great staff. Clean and everyone was helpful.

Beautiful location in the mountains!
I upgraded to a junior suite and it did not feel like an upgrade. One entire wall was a sliding glass door which felt incredibly vulnerable and unsafe. If that had been advertised, I would never have booked the room. The room was not set up well, the furniture was stained and the bathroom was tiny despite all the space available. It also had this odd window cutout in the wall by the tv, very strange.
The location. The Mountain Views. The staff was excellent.
I felt like our room should have had a microwave.
I love the sky view and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with the whole check in process.
I didn't like the super small elevators.
Personal war super nett. Die Lage ist super schön.
Frühstück zu teuer
Location, room was nice
All the bad things that happened. Manager would not do anything to make it right.
Great
Quiet
We've stayed here before and that was one of the reasons we re-booked for this trip. It's a beautiful property, but sad to see that the government is tearing it up for a freeway, causing the site to lose its tennis and golf facilities as well as Adelaide's Spa.
Can't think of anything
The rooms where pets are allowed are dated and not cleaned very well.
They breakfast was okay
Stop advertising things that you do not have on the property anymore. There's no golf course there's no Spa there's no tennis courts. Everything that I booked for was no longer at this Resort so I felt like I could have kept my money or went somewhere else.
We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations, but they did not detract from our experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was good, with a lovely view overlooking a beautifully manicured lawn. Breakfast was excellent, reasonably priced, and a great way to start the day. Overall, a great stay, and I would happily return.
It was in a great location for us.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, it was all good.
The buffet breakfast. The esthetics of the hotel. Everyone was friendly..
It was clean
I enjoyed everything
I had to ask regular room serviços that is inaceitável. The guest to the guest is only to make money at all serviços. The “system” blocks empaty and cordiality. Its too much diferent that uses to be. It seem a road motel. I dont recomend .
Services in general
Breakfast was great love the omelets. Being right on Patton was awesome.
Pool open hot tub .
Beds were very comfortable.
For paying over $300 for one night stay, I was expecting a more plush & updated hotel. It is really outdated. Also, we requested 2 blankets & were told they would bring them to us but never did. I just wasn't impressed with this place. Very disappointed especially for the money we paid.
The pictures of this resort do not match the actual location. There isn’t a fire pit near a pergola anywhere near the resort. There is a fireplace inside the main lobby, which is nice. We were charged about $100 more upon checking in than our online reservation, which we will be disputing. We stayed just one night because we were just passing through, but there were plenty of families here for longer stays. There was a roving group of 10-12 year old boys who were really loud just running up and down the hallway without any parents in sight. The pool was loud and overcrowded, and we’d probably have enjoyed it if our kids were younger. There were 2 cops standing at the pool gate which was reassuring but also questionable?? It wasn’t chaotic so I’m not sure why they were needed except alcohol was for sale so…??? I’m happy they were there but there didn’t seem to be a problem. Dining options are limited, but ok. We ordered sandwiches and they were pretty good, fries were hot and crispy. Drinks from the bar were fine, but the wine overpriced. Like a glass of subpar Chardonnay is just $1 less than a pretty decent old fashioned. That said. Our room was spacious and was clean. So 3 stars for our accommodations alone. Not sure we’d come back. I guess if you want a family vacation it’s fine but there are cabins nearby for a better deal.
The picture displayed was the Biltmore Hotel. There’s a clue as to what you are not getting. Because when you see the real thing it’s a disappointment. Rooms are damp and linens are too , since they absorbed the moisture in the air. Grandson has bites on his leg and arms. Not sure what’s in the carpet that caused that. Lobby and Expo area are kept in prestine condition. Clearly where their priorities are focused on. Food was okay. But expensive.
Great property. Very friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Nice pool. Comfortable bed.
Rooms are a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. AC woke us up going on and off because the fan wouldn’t stay on continuously
This place is amazing and definitely a hidden gem. After years of coming to Asheville and staying at an Airbnb, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel instead. The food is amazing, the customer service is amazing and the staff is super awesome. You can pay $8 to have a round-trip shuttle to downtown Asheville and get picked up by 10:00 p.m.. also, another incredible experience I had was one of the workers offered to make me lunch and fresh brewed coffee despite it being after lunch hours when I arrived! This is the ultimate experience of exceptional customer service. I will definitely be returning with my husband and children to stay at this lovely hotel. Also, the pool was amazing and there's not that many locations with the pool nearby.
We stayed here in June of 2026 while attending a family reunion. There weren’t a lot of people there when we were there, so that made it better I’m sure. The rooms are a little dated, but nothing too bad. The property is really beautiful and there are concrete paths to walk around. They had a nice outdoor pool and a nice lobby area with a bar and a big fireplace and places to sit. We played a round of Jenga that was sitting out. They had an outdoor movie night going on while we were there. There is a lot to do outside. There was a zip line course and some bmx bike areas to ride. We weren’t there long enough to use any of it. It was well priced and fairly quiet other than one family with some kids up early. Would stay again.
Staff
No pool, no golf, limited bar, very disappointing based on advert for facilities none of which where available
The back is beautiful. The lobby is amazing.
The rooms don’t really match the vibe of the rest of the hotel. They could be better.
Fabulous
Extremely nice staff, 3 minutes by car from downtown.
Sliding glass door wouldn't close so the hotel staff had a metal bar to force it closed, no actual overhead lights just lamps so it was visibly dark in the room, large holes in the blinds, building seemed old, walls were very thin and lots of noise at night.
It was in a good location and was quiet.
It wasn’t as expected, I thought we would have a view having a suite with a balcony but the balcony was on the ground floor. I thought we’d have a nicer bathroom with a tub since it was a suite. Looks like it was remodeled 10 or so years ago. Just wasn’t as nice as I expected, but was not terrible. The gym was nice to have but was dirty, needs a deep clean and someone to maintain cleanliness.
Surprising good visit. Beautiful property inside. Outside too, but some construction being done. Very nice and good people like Natalie and Mary ann. Great value on good food. Ate there 4 times. Clean, room was renovated and very nice.
The lobby was beautiful, the person at the desk was very nice and helpful.
The location of the hotel, difficult to come and go to Ashville area. No cleaning in the rooms. Trash was not ever emptied in our room. When we asked for more towel tjey did not offer to take the wet towels. Had to go and get more coffee etc to make coffee in our room. I understand not wasting wayer etc, but there is no reason to leave people in a room for 3 days without even offering to empty trash or replenish items that need to be replaced.
We stayed at the Crown Plaza for a couples retreat. The staff was kind and helpful. The catered food was not good. The decor was beautiful in the main/common areas. The room was satisfactory, the bed was medium firmness. Nice bedding, soft towels, coffee maker with pods of coffee and tea. Some The lighting in the bedroom was very diim. The patio door led to the parking lot, so it was easily accessible when unpacking the car. The patio had two metal chairs and a small side table. The tub and shower had a decent shower head. The water pressure was good, but the temperature was ok (not hot enough for me). The pool was not open yet. The grounds were pretty with blooming flowers and landscaping. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Clean, quiet and accommodating!!!
The hot water could have been a tad bit hotter!
Bardzo dobra cena, przemiła obsługa, piękny wystrój hotelu i najważniejsze przepyszne śniadania!
Bar and restaurant on site were fantastic. Our room had sliding doors and a patio leading to a large grassy area, very relaxing. This is where we will stay every time we need to overnight in Asheville.
It was a decent location near downtown
There were wasps in my room, after killing one I realized there were more. Called the front desk - they upgraded my room to king- which is not an upgrade for a single traveler. The new room was dirty, I had black hair in my towels, there were pieces of cardboard you could clearly see so the room was not clean- and the outlets in the bathroom did not work. Meaning I had to get ready without being able to see. Very disappointing stay and total waste of money. I would’ve rather slept in my car.
Very nice hotel, looks like they have been making some updates.
This was our first stay at this property. We we very pleased with our stay. Check in went smoothly and the employee at the front desk was very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only thing that really was a little irritating is the plugs are so worn from use, we had a hard time charging our phones because the plugs would just not stay in. We finally found one that worked without any issues. We dined in the hotel restaurant, which was very nice and had a beautiful overlook of green hills and trees. Our server was very attentive and the food was delicious. We enjoyed sitting by the fire out on the patio and watched a beautiful sunset. As we checked out, I mentioned to the desk clerk that we were going to the Biltmore and she was nice enough to give me a map and chatted with me about it for a few minutes. We had a great experience and the next time I'm in Asheville I will more than likely stay at this property.
Nice room, with good beds and a good bathroom on the first floor. Easy access.
I have stayed at this property in the past and liked the location. It isn’t located downtown so not in the crowds you sometimes find in downtown. Has good parking. Breakfast is good. Room was clean.
Upon arrival the front desk staff was not helpful or friendly. There was a problem with my reservation and she told me she couldn’t fix the issue and I needed to resolve it myself. I showed her a copy of my reservation and she said that didn’t matter. I had a hard copy of the reservation and a copy on my phone. I was able to make a call and get the reservation sorted. The WIFI at the hotel does not work well. It constantly went down or kick me off the service. On the third day of my stay I asked the front desk if there was a mailbox or if the desk could send out mail that I had prepared and was already stamped. The front desk staff said she didn’t know if she could send out mail for guests. She said perhaps check with the restaurant staff about mailing my cards- which made no sense. Perhaps the front desk staff isn’t trained or just not interested in helping guests. I found the customer service at the property not good or what I would expect.
Location good. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful. Lack of customer service from front desk staff really negatively impacted our stay. Rooms clean. WIFI not good and constantly kicked me off. The property states there is a shuttle service for a fee but there isn’t one. The staff said it is only available sometimes- but not during the three days we were at the property. The breakfast is good and restaurant staff helpful and pleasant. Front desk staff obviously needs to be trained.

Clean, convenient, great location and amenities!
Nothing
The location was very difficult to find. Even several people coming in with me were as confused as I whether we were in the right place. The few staff I interacted with were very nice . Check and out was fine. The check in person stated she lived in Asheville her whole life and didn’t know Crowne Plaza was there. Very nice room , comfortable, clean, as was the entire place. I worried more that I was making too much noise with the t.v. . Now for the downside. The internet connection was horrible. There were only two ports on the lamps, neither worked. I had to borrow an adapter from a server and plug in at the bar in order to charge one device the first night. I spent valuable time and money going to Best Buy for adapters and cords. If you decide to stay bring a universal charger, adapters , cords and any other device charging needs . As well the T.V. remote had to be held” just right” in order to function. And the channels were poor. Finally, for the price to stay for two nights, breakfast should have been included. It was a nice buffet , but no nicer than other hotels ‘ that include buffets . The Crowne breakfast was not worth $20. The many excellent points the Plaza had didn’t make up for the issues I’ve mentioned. Sadly I won’t stay there again.
I stayed at Crowne Plaza in Asheville with my husband and 2 toddlers. On the second night of our stay the shower faucet detached while I was showering and hit me in my leg. I immediately took pictures and videos and alerted the front desk as this was a huge safety concern. I let staff know that my biggest concern was that had my toddlers been the one in the shower they could have been seriously injured. I was told that no manager was at the hotel and I would be helped in the morning. The next morning maintenance and the head of housekeeping came to the room. Upon opening the door I greeted them both and they rudely entered, clearly upset, and went into the bathroom to see the tub. The head of housekeeping, Ramona, came out of the bathroom and asked me what happened. After explaining what happened she asked to see my leg and I explained I did not have any bruises and just wanted to make them aware of the concern she then grabbed my leg so she could examine herself. I am 5 months visibly pregnant and the fact that she put her hands on me without consent was unacceptable. I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager and was told one would be here at 12 and would contact me immediately even though I was checking out. I called right after 3pm to see why no one had reached out and was told a manager would not be in until Tuesday and that I would be contacted then. I had to reach out to corporate in order to get a response and was ultimately offered a very small amount of reward points to our account but was told a refund was not an option. I am so hurt by the actions of the Crowne Plaza staff, specifically Ramona. I was treated so inhumanly when all I wanted was to make staff aware of a safety concern.
We had a very enjoyable experience at this property during a short weekend trip. While it's not in downtown Asheville, it is close. A reasonably priced shuttle will take you to & from there without a hassle so that you can experience this unique city. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. They were the epitome of Southern hospitality. While the common areas of this property look great as if they were recently updated, the room seemed a little worn and dated, but was very clean and comfortable. Two thumbs up for this place
Clean and in a very convenient location. Price for when we stayed was very good.
Could use some updating to the rooms.
This is the best hotel in Asheville, if not all of North Carolina. I love the layout and how big the rooms are. You can tell that it was the most affluent resort back in the 80's. I love that they have not changed into the same cookie cutter hotel that all the other brands have become.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Crowne Plaza Resort. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the location was super convenient, and the staff, especially the sweet woman who checked us in, was outstanding. Our stay included a hot breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The hot breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to end our visit. The wait staff was exceptional. Our server went above and beyond to make sure I had vegan options, even having the chef prepare dishes just for me and double-checking that the buffet items I chose were vegan-friendly. I truly couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely be back the next time we visit our daughter in Asheville. Highly recommend this hotel; and absolutely don’t skip the hot breakfast!
We were very happy and content. I wish we could have stayed longer. I can't think of anything we did not like about the hotel or restaurant.
This property is a hidden gem amongst the intensity of the Asheville area. While the driveway to the hotel could use some better signage and landscaping, once we arrived, we were welcomed into a spacious, comfortable lobby (complete with huge fireplace area) by friendly helpful staff. Our room was comfortable and clean with a wonderful view. We enjoyed delicious large-portion fresh breakfast and coffee each morning (option of buffet or ordering from menu) in their restaurant with amazing spacious views, walking trails and focus on restful QUIET!! I look forward to reasons to stay here again! What a welcome change from compact cookie-cutter chains!
All staff was nice and helpful. I liked access to 3 pools. In case one was too busy.
The temperature throughout the facility was pretty warm outside the rooms. Out patio door was really hard to close. Overall pretty good stay. I didnt like the exit from the hotel from and to the hwy.
I was here for the ACMA Conference. We were served breakfast Friday morning and it was excellent
The ACMA Conference was located in 2 different locations at the hotel. The one location was a short walk which was fine but it consisted of a steep elevation. One of the nurses did fall. No serious injuries but the walkway may need steps.
That was great and the staff was excellent
After driving 10 hours got our key cards that didn't work. Then after going back to hotel check in leaving my partner with the luggage got another set of key cards went back to the 5th floor to our horror the room was occupied. Again back to check in upset got two sets of key cards and finally got a room that was acceptable. Had one more incident with the key cards. Room service was up to us, either by getting our own towels and TP in the hallway or at the front desk. Finally over the holiday weekend our Wing Elevator was out of service which resulted in moving out over two days. I'm 80 and expect much better.
Nothing
Bathrooms are very small. Toilet is about a foot high. As a senior they are terrible. My key kept d being erased. They need to update their locks. Carpet is very worn and needs updating. Breakfast is not provided and is a $22 buffet. As a diabetic I need a choice menu. I’m not paying $22 for a cup of coffee and English muffin. Everything is self serve. You have to go to the front desk for towels or trash pickup. We were there for a baseball tournament and needed a laundry. It is located a 1/2 mile and you have to drive to it on very narrow road. They have one washer and dryer. There were about 15 teams staying there. Not enough laundry facilities and very hard to get to. I would never stay there again.
I have a senior dog, and the ground floor room was amazing, with a sliding door to easily take him out for potty breaks. The size of the room was adequate, but it was poorly lit in the entry/dressing area. Overall the room could have used some updating, but the lobby was gorgeous and newly renovated it seems. The grounds were sprawling - lots of grassy areas and trails to walk. The hotel is also in the perfect location for exploring all of AVL, particularly West Asheville. The bed was super comfy, the hotel was quiet, and I slept really well.
lighting in the entryway/dressing area of the room was very, very dim!
The room was nice, very clean and comfortable with a good amount of space. the shower had excellent water pressure.
I can't think of anything to improve. There were no negatives for me.
Customer service,clean environment.
No complaints
Great location. The lobby is so beautifully designed You can seat by the huge fireplace, or on any of the many available comfy chairs and couches and feel like you are sitting in your own fancy log cabin The bar offers a good variety of dishes. You can enjoy a quick meal at the bar, or a great dinner in the beautiful restaurant. The view from the dining room is fantastic! The staff is always friendly and helpful
I wish I was given a room with a view of the mountains, not facing the back wall of the restaurant
Very good value. Also the fact that they accept big dogs are a big plus. Large area for dogs to walk around.
Nothing. Everything was as expected.
