Beautiful rooms. Great breakfast
Great location, coffee in morning and we be and snacks in foyer in evening were great.
It’s right in the middle of everything. Walking distance.
Really enjoyed our stay the rooms were comfortable, the staff were lovely and the location was great. We especially loved the complimentary drinks and small snacks that were available in reception which was a nice touch and created a great sitting area in the lobby.
The AC was a little noisy but manageable.
Location
The room design was weird. Mismatched furnishings, depressing colors, a stained rug, paintings that were just plain odd and hung in strange locations.
The location was excellent, the room was very clean and the staff were very kind.
Nothing really. The restaurant was fine but not exceptional
The location of the hotel is convenient for visiting the city. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet.
The restaurant is overpriced, and the staff are not always attentive to customers. I also would have appreciated being able to add the breakfast option to my booking after checking into the hotel, but the receptionist basically told me it wasn’t possible.
Nice sized room, very clean, lovely common areas. Good location- very quiet and close to the museums
No coffee in the room although coffee was available in the lobby from 6 am. A bit further from the main attractions of the city than some other hotels.
We liked the location being slightly away from the main hub, but St. George station is right by the hotel using lines 1&2 so you can be totally central in under 10mins. We had breakfast included which was great and there was wine offered from 5pm-6pm with nibbles and additional coffee and muffins in the lobby each morning. Staff were terrific would definitely stay again
Die Lage ist toll
Das Frühstück ist richtig schlecht. Beim Frühstück war die Bedienung unfreundlich und die Qualität der Speisen auf Fast Food Niveau. Die Polsterbänke waren kaputt.
Friendly staff, clean environment, great breakfast and super location.
The valet are a bit slow and no communication on the cost of parking.
Nice room. Nice toiletries. Lovely touch from team for a birthday treat. Wonderful breakfast
No waters in room. Only noticed water refill after check out. Service for breakfast and dining was hit and miss
Great location
Dining room needs some refurbishment
Staff. Location, view from the rm
We only stayed one night after a long flight but seemed a super nice hotel with free parking
It is contemporary and beautifully designed

We (a family of 4) stayed here recently for 2 nights as part of a multi-stop holiday across Canada and the US. We can’t praise it enough. A very stylish, boutique hotel with a lovely bar / restaurant and gorgeously decorated rooms. Even the lifts and corridors give off an air of understated luxury. Despite having a modern scandi- style interior, It was also very cosy throughout. We were there in a heatwave but I imagine the reception in the winter being very atmospheric (and I think it had a feature fireplace). There was also a 5 o clock wine hour every day which was a nice touch with was accompanied by snacks such as pizza. And although breakfast wasn’t included, there was free coffee and muffins which we enjoyed. We didn’t eat in the bar/restaurant so can’t comment on the food, however the Italian restaurant next door was brilliant and there was also some lovely cafes across the street. It was a great location (university district) - very leafy and fairly quiet but with just enough going on for a young family to go out in the evening. The subway station was just a 5 minute walk away and this got you a 10 minute ride to Union Station / downtown Toronto. And one day we walked which was about 40 mins and was a pleasant route. My only criticism of this hotel was that our room wasn’t quite big enough. We were all clambering over our suitcases. However this wasn’t enough to put a dampener on our stay. Would 100% stay here again.
I only had one breakfast, and didn't order correctly. My fault. Twice I was rushed so instead of breakfast enjoyed the fresh blueberry muffin and coffee! The staff was so nice, and pleasant and friendly, and helpful. And the atmosphere was like home away from home, with the cold water, the lemonade, the tea and the coffee. Hopefully I shall come again next year!! Thank you very much.
Nothing.
This is not a good hotel. The room and bathroom are too small. There’s a naked bulb with no shade in the room entryway. The frig doesn’t work. The lobby has dirty carpets. The furnishings are cheap. The housekeeper kept opening the window even on smoky days. This is not a boutique hotel.

Didnt have breakfast.
Limited F&B
Location and Richard on the reception was very welcoming
Elevator was not functioning properly during our stay.
Just spent 4 days at the St. George. Luxury? No. The best thing about all Kimpton hotels is the pet policy. We travel with our cat, and we always appreciate the policy that "if your pet fits in our elevator, they are welcome." In regard to the room, the bathroom was very disappointing. Lighting was low and bad, and the bathtub, though very deep, made it accessible to stretch out (without possibly drowning), which was very difficult. The water pressure from the shower was good, but the 3-4 inch tiled edge around the tub made the shower water pool so badly that even with the curtain, water pooled so badly outside the tub that an entire towel needed to be wasted to clean it up. Overall, the bathroom was just small. The most disappointing part of the hotel was the morning and early afternoon concierges. There was an older man who wore a full mask (his priority, of course) that seemed to not know the meaning of the word "hospitality." He was curt and gave monosyllabic answers to questions. The other female concierge was just as surly. Not very welcoming or helpful. One last point was that there are not complimentary coffee makers in every room. Upon arrival, we asked the front desk for a Nespresso machine to be sent up. It did not show up that night, nor the next day. So, we asked again the next morning; again, there was no coffee maker. It was not until the evening of our second night that the only pleasant male concierge actually got us a coffee maker. Side note, even though Google told us before the trip that the hotel also offered Keurig machines as well as Nespresso machines, the only machines they offer are Nespresso machines. If you have ever used one of those, they are completely inferior to the Keurig. I would not recommend this hotel if you are visiting Toronto. The staff was good, but 2 of the 3 concierges we encountered were just miserable people who conveyed a sense that they not only do not want you to be there, they do not want to be there. Someone needs to give them a crash course on what the word "hospitality" actually means.

Nice spacious rooms, wonderful style and and an easy-going atmosphere
Breakfast could have more healthy options and breakfast staff could be more attentive
Hotel was well kept. Staff very friendly and helpful
Shower was not great. The shower head did not have good coverage. Temp control difficult.
I don’t know why there are so many reviews singing the praises of this hotel. It’s fine, but it’s not luxury and it’s not family friendly. Sure, families can stay there and they have an offering of a breast milk fridge which seems random considering they don’t offer even basics for families, but that’s as far as it goes. There is no children’s menu in the restaurant or room service, and very little / next to nothing that young children could eat from the main menu - and the desserts (all 3 of them) are only suitable for adults or teenage children (not even the option for just ice cream). I’m used to children’s toiletries in bathrooms at truly family-friendly hotels. Nothing at the Kimpton. I requested a cot for my 1 year old when booking - arrived to find no cot, so had to call down (obviously resolvable but annoying). And my daughter absolutely detested the cot - we stay in hotels across the world frequently and we’ve never had a problem before. This cot was small and metal? So whenever she’d roll and touch the metal in the night, she’d wake as it was cold and loud to the touch (and it looked like a tiny prison). She usually wakes once a night - she woke double figure times at the Kimpton. And the mattress was the kind that makes a rustling noise every time she moved, which also woke her (these may sound minor, but I’ve honestly never had this problem before and it resulted in the worst sleep for us all, which isn’t what you want from a “luxury, family-friendly” hotel). Next up, upon entering the room and finding no cot, I also discovered the bins hadn’t been emptied from the previous occupants! Again, never experienced this before and was v surprised. It made me pay attention to the cleanliness of the room and it was not great. There were black hairs around the sink and on the bathroom floor, and fingerprints on the mirror. I had called the reception to ask for the missing cot and told them the bins had not been emptied - when housekeeping came, the lady seemed surprised that I’d want the bin emptied? No apology, or anything like that. It was bizarre. Also, the bed cushions were on the floor and the screw in plug was just left in the bath. It looked like our room hadn’t finished being serviced (and there was no turndown service). And the in-room coffee and tea is awful - there are only paper cups (bad for the environment, and not luxury) and the minibar was empty where I’d expect chilled water and fresh milk. Oh, and not a biscuit (cookie) to be found - you even get this in budget hotels? The decor and furniture in the room is dated, worn down, and needs a refresh (we stayed in 1 bed suite). So yes, overall I’m pretty unimpressed and most definitely wouldn’t return (full stop, but definitely not as a family with young children).
Great location, excellent amenities and fantastic staff. The room was beautiful, the staff are friendly and immediately responsive, the food at the Fortunate Fox is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the coffee and muffins available in the mornings, and the complimentary wine offered during Happy Hour. Parking is on site with in and out privileges. I will definitely stay here again!
I don’t have anything negative to say about my experience at this property.
Pub downstairs was great, good food too, great staff in pub.
Only one roll of toilet paper was in our bathroom on arrival.Night shift at front desk was not good; I asked in person for a roll of toilet paper about 11 pm and was told by front desk clerk that he would bring it up to our room.He never brought the toilet paper to our room. Also mattress was way to soft .
We ordered the breakfast for the first time slot 8-8:30 as we planned to be out at 9:15. At 8:35 when we called down we were told " it was coming" it arrived at 8:45. Cold, and disappointing on timing.

Love this place, Clean friendly and easy to get around town from here. Great Bar and Restaurant, The Fox.Everthing we asked for was taken care of quickly. They were under renovations and any inconvenience was taken care of before it happened.
Canas muy cómodas, excelente ubicación y el hotel muy lindo, también estuvo muy rico el restaurante
I stayed at the Kimpton Saint George for a couple of nights, and overall it was a very pleasant stay. The location is extremely convenient, both for getting around on foot and by public transport: there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. The front desk staff may not have been the warmest or most outgoing, but I interacted with them so little that it wasn’t really a major issue. Check-in was very quick and efficient but somewhat impersonal, but as an IHG Diamond Elite member we were pleasantly upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, which was truly comfortable and incredibly spacious. The hotel is new and well maintained, although in my opinion it lacks a bit of a luxury feel, both in the common areas and in the rooms. The large suite felt a little sparse, with somewhat of a Crate & Barrel showroom vibe. Compared to the rest of the suite, the bathroom felt slightly undersized, and the walk-in shower placed literally right next to the bathtub wasn’t the most practical setup. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room temperature was perfect, which I had actually been a little concerned about after reading other reviews. The reserved parking underneath the hotel was excellent, with convenient dedicated spaces for IHG Diamond Elite members. Complimentary morning coffee in the lobby and the Social Hour from 5 to 6 PM were nice touches, just like at other Kimpton properties. Breakfast at The Fortunate Fox was fine, though nothing particularly memorable. I didn’t like finding the minibar completely empty, and I would have appreciated at least a couple of bottles of water in the room. There was a Nespresso machine available (although the used capsules were not replaced during turndown service), but it was disappointing to find paper cups for coffee instead of proper ceramic cups, something I would expect at a Holiday Inn, not at a Kimpton. If it hadn’t been for a few details that, perhaps wrongly, I personally take for granted at hotels in this category, I probably would have given this stay a perfect score.
Excellent Staff - friendly and courteous; Location is very close to multiple sites and a short uber or taxi closer to downtown. Lovely restaurants close by. I would highly recommend this property.
Free wine vibe was excellent upon arrival.
Didn't stay long enough to dislike anything.
My go to hotel in toronto, very comfortable, clean, good front desk staff (special thanks to Khaled). Spacious rooms perfect for relaxing and a good night’s sleep. Location is perfect in my opinion (not the best view) however it is close to everything.
The cleaning staff are unprofessional, one came into the room without knocking, and that was no acceptable especially for a hotel with such a good reputation and good rating. This is the first time I have any bad encounters with this hotel and I hope it would be the last time something like this happens to anyone. Note: front desk staff were understanding and accepted the report of this incident.
Very beautiful hotel and rooms, great location and exactly what we were looking for.
No coffee or tea facilities in the room
Stayed here for three nights for work. In general it was a little disappointing, but a perfectly functional stay. Lobby is small. The seating areas are charming though. The hotel is showing some wear throughout. Nicked walls. Elevators are a little beat up. My room was the low point great. Shower grout was actually pretty dirty and gross. Hardware on my door was loose and half broken. My room happened to have a view of an ugly parking lot and a dumpster. Bed was on the older side, a little saggy. Neighborhood is fine, not incredible. Lots of college kids around. I ordered room service a few times, it was very expensive, food was decent. I didn't get to the gym. Everybody I interacted with was nice and helpful. This is not a terrible hotel by any stretch of the imagination. But the details of my stay weren't great, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.
A well-managed, ideally located hotel that is clean, quiet, and peaceful.
Nothing
Great location!
Paid Parking
The good: Great location for a family to visit ROM, gardiner museum and Bata shoe museum. Aesthetics of the hotel are nice, as are the rooms. The morning doorman was very courteous, as was the gentleman who delivered our room service. The bad: no microwave, no fridge and no in-room coffee/tea service. You have to go down only during certain hours to get coffee or tea. They are more pet friendly than kid friendly, as they don't offer kid menus, and even requesting chicken tenders off the late night menu is denied as it's only available after 10pm(they only offered a small chicken breast as a solution, which was fine). Having a special needs child who has food and noise sensitivity, the lack of accommodation was disappointing. The food was delivered without any salt and pepper on the side and with no covers on the water glasses. One of the glasses was also dirty, and the drink ordered was forgotten. In the bathroom, the package of qtips had been opened and one had been used. We were also woken up by a Houseman banging on our door at 10:45pm thinking we had ordered slippers. Overall: for a so called luxury hotel, customer care is lacking in terms of the amenities provided. For the price we paid, I would expect to have coffee/tea, microwave and fridge available in my room. The only good thing is the convenience of being close to the museums. All of this has been mentioned to the front desk staff (Mary), with only offer of keeping my account open for discussion (no manager on site at 7:45am When we wished to check out).
Comfortable beds with high quality linen. Nice bathroom products and powerful shower. Blackout blinds
The beds were exceptionally comfortable, rooms were very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, food at the restaurant was delicious, location excellent
Restaurant wait time was too long, food a bit pricey
Location is so good.
The construction nearby the hotel that has awful view from the room that we stay.
We really liked the hotel's location - I'd rate it a 9 out of 10. It's very convenient for getting to the ROM museum (10min). The service was excellent. The breakfast was tasty as well, I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10.
As for the breakfast, I would have liked to see more fruit options for the oatmeal - there were only a few pieces available, which was quite surprising to me.
Lovely hotel parking on site free breakfast and wine happy hour Friendly staff and super location

Don't need things in the mini bar - was able to get diet coke from the front desk but would have like the room fridge to be on but it wasn't running.
Great location and next door to St George subway station (lines 1 and 2), as well as a large parking garage. Rooms were spacious and clean and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The bed was far too soft. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (guests have to request one to be delivered to the room). The breakfast / dinner restaurant was very comfortable but the menu is very limited for vegetarian/vegans which is surprising for this day and age. The coffee was disappointing with espresso style coffees made from an automatic machine and served lukewarm. The waitress kindly pre-warmed our mugs for us which made the coffee drinkable. The fact that so many guests were bringing in coffee from outside should signal to management that they need to improve on this.
Wonderful location.
I wish front desk people were a little happier.
Clean luxurious rooms. Comfortable bed/pillows. Lobby has coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings and vibes are great all around. The gym has the essentials and is open 24/7. Great location. Right in the heart of downtown and walkable to many Restaurants and activities.
Super comfy bed , lots of amenities and the toiletries in the bathroom are top notch
Nothing! It’s all great !
Clean, nice location and friendly staff.
Have had a lovely stay in our super sweet room on the 9th floor! Super comfy beds, nice amenities, very helpful staff.
The location was great near ROM and restaurants. Room was quiet
Not too many amenities
The staff were helpful, the bed was comfortable
My room stank of smoke, the breakfast omelette was terrible, coffee equally bad
Coffee service and wine service in lobby were nice. The location was also perfect!
My room had a significant drip in the shower, which kept me from sleeping well. The sink had a very slow drain; the shower tiles along the bottom wall weren’t clean. I’ve been a Kimpton customer for a long time, and have always had rooms that appeared maintained. This Kimpton is in no way a “luxury” hotel, as advertised. Also it would have been nice to have coffee in the room—even Hilton offers that.
The lady at reception was amazing!
