top floor was being renovated and we arrived at 2:00am and where woken at 8:00am by building site noise.Then had a 3hour plus drive home being very tired not a relaxed ending to our holiday.

The lication was perfect for airport and the chap on reception was vdty pleasant

The room was lovely the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom shower was lovely and added bonus of having a bath. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have stayed in

The staff were not friendly or helpful in the restaurant. No one checked to see if the food was ok. Not value for money. Steak was £30 but it certainly wasn’t sirloin. The ambience of the bar area was lovely

When I made the booking online, I specifically stated that I would be arriving at approximately 4:00am on 5 September. I therefore expected the booking arrangements to take this into account, or for me to be contacted if arriving at that time was not possible. The email confirmation I subsequently received stated that check-in was not available until 3:00pm on 5 September. I then contacted you before my arrival to clarify the situation and specifically raised the issue of my 4:00am arrival. However, rather than addressing the discrepancy or informing me that I would not be able to check in until 3:00pm, I received a basic response simply confirming that check-in was at 3:00pm. This is particularly concerning because I had already clearly stated my intended arrival time when making the booking and had contacted you specifically to make sure everything was correct. Had I been clearly informed that I could not check in until 3:00pm, I would have had the opportunity to make alternative arrangements. Instead, I was left with the impression that my booking and arrival time had been properly dealt with. I would therefore like you to investigate this matter and explain why my stated 4:00am arrival was not properly addressed when I made the booking and again when I contacted you for clarification. I would also like you to consider appropriate compensation/refund for the inconvenience and any additional costs or loss I incurred as a result. I have retained the booking confirmation and correspondence regarding my stated arrival time and can provide these if required.

So handy for the airport and our evening check in and early flight. everyone so helpful and had a lovely evening meal.

We had dinner in the evening at the hotel. To be honest, it wasn't very nice. Tasted really processed. Also thought the drinks were over priced at the bar, but the food was the main thing.

The location is perfect for access to and from the airport.

Lifts were out of action, but no warning about this or information. This meant we had to carry heavy luggage down stairs from the fourth floor. There appeared to be no provision for people unable to use stairs or manage their luggage.

Location is fantastic. Clean and spacious room. Did not have breakfast so can't comment. Not enough milk in room and what you do get is awful. Proper milk would be nice. Will return as location is great.

The room looked nice. Breakfast was good, plenty of options and tasty. The location was the main reason for booking right next to the airport which we needed as arrived back in the early hours. The glass bottle water refills are a great addition.

The cleanliness of the room was a let down. There were hairs in the bath. Hair pins on the floor left from previous people staying. À lip balm also left on the floor too. The hairdryer was a fire hazard. There was bright red coming from the dryer like fire. À smell of smoke and an awful noise. I reported it straight away and was given a replacement, which was much newer. The bedside lights didn’t work either side of the bed. I reported the issues I had to reception however the receptionist was unable to do anything. I asked then to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told they would not be in until later. I would have to email them with my complaint. Which wasn’t very helpful! Given the cost of the room and the 4* hotel rating I expected it to be clean and safe and facilities to work.

It is very convenient for an early flight. It was quick and easy to check in with a very personable Anthony on the front desk. The staff at dinner were very friendly and attentive including Kapoor. The room would have been an ideal size if not for the desk and couch. Clean and comfortable bed. Great shower. Weird mirrored door but that’s just a quirk.

The breakfast was horrendously expensive for what it was. Food wasn’t fresh and limited. The room was appeared small due to a triangular work desk and odd couch. There was no room to move around because of this. There is no information about room service or anything else for that matter. Air conditioning did not work. It was not on when we went in and unless you have two keys, does not stay on when out. We had it on all night and the temperature barely changed. Had to fill out an allergy form before I could order dinner that took some time and a bit of what seemed unnecessary back and forth.

Ta dis not work in either of 2 rooms we were given. The first room had a made up double put you up bed, therefore no space & no furniture. On arrival the receptionist was virtually mute & didn’t seem to know her job. She put us in an inappropriate room. Fortunately, when we asked for help as there was no signal, the supervisor came up and changed our room. She was very personable & efficient.

The bathroom was dirty, black mold around the bath seal, shower screen was dirty, bath plug had to be taken out to drain the bath. Sink was draining slow. The bed sofa that my child slept on she kept falling through the middle of the bed. The toilet walls had pee marks up both sides of it Air con didn't work, the mini fridge was warm.

The first room was Smokey which should not be the case as smoking is not permitted in hotel rooms. Complained and moved rooms.

Arrived at check in around 8pm and our was not available. Handed a drink voucher as compensation.

my room was not ready even though i turned up an our after my check in time due to a delayed flight. and the airconditioning in my room was very poor and it made it hard to sleep in such a hot room

It's a great place to stay. So easy. Shame a drop off isnt explained and you have to pay full price for a three minute drop with someone who is disabled

The beds are very very soft. And the air con was still blowing warm air into the room. We understand its hot in England. But air con works in hot countries

My only big moan is we were sent to another hotel when we arrived back form holiday 2am to be told a maintenance issue There was no communication from the hotel prior to let me know which is disgraceful as they have these details so the last thing you need after a long flight is to be told this. They did however exceed themselves when we went straight back to Novatel in the morning

One socket didn't work which left us a bit short to charge phones and watches before early morning flight.

The foyer and entrance was lovely and inviting. Pillows were very comfortable. Proximity to the airport was great.

Easy to check in and check out. Clean and nice in the room. Room service came very quickly and the food was plentiful and tasty.

TV was very unintuitive - hardly turned on and only some features worked when it was on. Shower would be practically unusable for anyone over 5’10. My head was basically touching the shower head and I’m 5’8. Shower curtain was also far too long for the shower, was like showering with the curtain, was pretty much standing on it.

staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our stay was as a result of a car break down so this stay over was very last minute and reactionary and the staff at the Novotel Birmingham Airport hotel could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

Nothing to complain about for the hotel itself. Would plan to stay there again if looking for accommodation in that area.

Coffee in the room wasn’t the best even for hotel coffee. We left too early for breakfast so even a slightly better offering in the room would have been amazing.

Really good food and the staff were really friendly. Guari was our server, she was very nice. Overall a great start to our holiday.
