The property is convenient to both Birmingham International Airport and the NEC which contributes to the rich mix of customers who use it (business and leisure). The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel has very good facilities including a comfortable bar/restaurant area. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is well stocked with an excellent selection!

I was really disappointed to see an unknown charge for breakfast in bed on my final bill. It was for over £30 and was not ordered by myself for my room lr by my team for theirs, so I can’t see how that sort of mistake could happen. Felt very much like a calculated ‘chancer’ charge rather than an honest mistake, but that is just my honest opinion.

The bath was dated and there was a red wine stain on the bedsheets that didnt fit properly. It was like the duvet cover was too big for the duvet I paid £459 for one night which was ridiculous really

Very smart looking building, close to the shopping centre, good soundproofing and the rooms were spacious. Got lucky and had a lovely view overlooking the lake.

Wifi was poor and kept cutting out. Requested a double bed and got two singles, which, as a big guy, was very uncomfortable. When I asked at reception, the staff were rude and dismissive. Last time, I had issues with the food and Wi-Fi. I said that, due to the location, I would give the hotel another chance, but it failed. I will never stay here again!! or recommend it to anyone else

Location was perfect and the breakfast was lovely. We had dinner there and their salmon was sublime

Only complaint was we only had one bath towel. I could have asked for another one and I’m sure it would have been provided without any problem but I didn’t realise until I stepped out of the shower.

The location was very good as well as the facilities. I expected only a king-sized bed, so I was surprised when our room also had a living room area, including a TV. The area around the hotel was also very nice. We ended up choosing to have a late checkout to stay a bit longer. When next we return to Birmingham, I'll stay here again.

Even though some sections of the room felt up to date and modern, others did not. Did not like looking for another towel each night even thought the room was booked for two people it was always just one towel.

Great hotel very pleasant stay and quiet. I was competing in the English Open and stayed in the hotel on my own, I will be coming back next year.

Property was well located, a good price, very clean and smelt lovely. Staff were also polite and helpful and it was quiet enough to say it was near the airport and the bed was comfy. Parking was £10 for 24 hours and included in the price.

Furniture was quite worn and threadbare/chipped

Staff are always helpful and super auditory. They listen and do what they can to help in many ways, my friend was able to check in as her illness spiked and needed shelter.

The room was great and it was really good that the staff were able to move us into another room with a sofa bed after calling front desk. The room was clean and well kept.

The only thing that wasn't great was the fact that there was a power cut but that couldn't be helped.

We were going to the NEC over the full weekend and the hotel is right next to it which made it so easy to just walk to and not worry about having to park.

My daughter is a wheelchair user and although they had what they called wheelchair access, this was down to the lower floor, through the breakfast room which was carpeted and hard to wheel over. She wouldn’t have managed to open the doors on her own and then on arriving back to the hotel you couldn’t access the doors for outside and had to call reception for someone to come and open the doors for you.

The hotel is perfectly situated. We were going to the quilting exhibition at the NEC and my mum was flying into Birmingham airport. Both venues are within minutes of the hotel. The shuttle bus between the hotels and the NEC takes away any worries about how to get to where you're going. We had the buffet breakfast each morning and ate in the hotel restaurant 3 of the 4 nights - all the food was excellent. ALL the staff were superb, from checking in, to house keeping and general duties. It's difficult not to name everyone because they all deserve a mention but Priyanka and Abitha were very very helpful, kind and friendly. They're true assets for the hotel 👍🏼

The shower is over the bath. I'm 6'4" and even I struggled to step in and out of the bath. It certainly wasn't easy. There are no grab rails on the walls. The floor of the bathroom is perhaps 5 inches lower than the base of the bath when you step out and I had to take great care not to slip.

The hotel is in an excellent location for the NEC exhibition halls. Parking at the hotel is very convenient and reasonably priced. Without exception all the staff at the hotel were so friendly - quite a contrast to the Hilton on the other side of the lake where we stayed last year - where, in particular, the evening meal service was appalling. The restaurant at the Crowne Plaza was reasonably priced and the service excellent.

The rooms, being picky, were starting to look a little tired but were clean and reasonably spacious.

This hotel is in a good location, just off the M42 and close to Birmingham airport. Room was clean, tidy and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the snacks and bottled water were welcome after a long journey. Plenty of car parking spaces. Would certainly stay again.

Stayed here one night as we were attending a concert at the BP Pulse Arena which is literally just across the road - certainly can't beat the location! We were surprised just how nice the area around the hotel is; lots of greenery and a lovely lake! The hotel entrance area is bright, very modern and looks lovely; the rooms are slightly more dated!! That said we were happy with our room - we were upgraded to a suite which was huge! It was very clean and although the furniture was tired, it was comfortable and lovely to have so much space. Breakfast the next day was really good too lots of choice and all very nice. Would definitely stay again if attending an event nearby.

Fantastic location, however I left my iPhone plug and charger plugged in the wall. Called in 5 days later to collect it. The receptionist rang house keeping who said they didn’t have it. The receptionist suggested the next customer may have taken It. I asked if the room was cleaned before they arrived? Of course it had been. The plug and lead were white & all the decor brown, you couldn’t miss it!

Room was rather tired, cupboard doors not attached very well. No coffee in room, tea bags only.

This hotel is great for easy access to the NEC and the motorway network. So handy if you just want to get in and out again. Also, the breakfast was amazing. Everything you want for a hotel breakfast, brilliant choice and fresh.

My only gripe with our stay was other guests who didn’t have any consideration for others. Continuously slamming doors at 1-2am which kept us awake. Not at all the hotels fault, was just the only thing that put a slight dampener on our stay.

Don’t bed, good size rooms, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast selection! Parking on-site (for a fee). Handy for getting out on the road to travel on. Right by the events centre and choices of shops and restaurants.

Nothing, the hotel is lovely. Bit of a long walk from the airport and the taxi drivers not delighted to have to bring you only to the hotel as seems they cannot 2-3hrs for a fare and then have to rejoin the queue at the back - not the hotels fault!

The room was very spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning which was a blessing in the current circumstances.

The automated check in experience didn’t really work properly therefore no time was saved.

It was our first time staying in a hotel with our 9 month old son and can only say how amazing the staff were with him and us during our stay. Every member of staff was extremely attentive and went the extra mile to make sure our stay with him went smoothly.

Our family room for one granny and 2 teenagers didn’t quite suit our mix providing a queen bed plus a sofa bed which was fairly lumpy.

Room was very big, comfy bed, massive TV with Netflix and YouTube. Nice air con which was needed during this heatwaves! Also was able to get breakfast room service, which was lovely. Literally next door to Resort World.

Quite a walk from the station and some of the Halls. So just expect that it’s much closer to Resort World.
