People at the front desk were rude. Dirty. Loud. Definitely overpriced.
We had a wonderful experience at The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown while visiting for the Serna wedding. Our room overlooking the river had a most unique view that took our breath away every morning. The entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, but Arturo truly made our 5-night stay unforgettable. He was always around with a warm smile, ready to help, and even remembered all of our names from day one. That kind of personal touch really stands out and made our family trip so special. Thank you to everyone at the hotel, especially Arturo, for making our visit so memorable and comforatble!
I loved the location and the staff! Staff was super friendly and informative! Location was perfect for all the places we wanted to go! We walked mostly because everything was so close.
Can’t think of anything
The Kindness started with Lucus who met us in valet! He is so kind, accommodating and wonderful! The lady that checked us in was also extremely accommodating! Everything was Excellent!!!
I didn't like that I had to leave The Wonderful Royal Sonesta and come home!!!
Excellent Location,
had to pay extra for early checking in
The royal sonesta downtown Chicago was an amazing stay! Right on the river, clean and updated. Staff is super friendly. The restaurant Hoyt’s is all super yummy. The hummus and olives is amazing. The bartenders David and Paul are super attentive, friendly and make great drinks! 10/10 for us
Overall our stay was very good. Our river view room was amazing, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by Arturo! He was so friendly and helpful. He remembered our names and seemed like he was always there during our 5 night stay! Thank you Royal Sonesta!
We had a fantastic stay overall, particularly after being upgraded to a lovely room with a fantastic view. The room was comfortable, well presented and made the experience feel genuinely special. The location is fantastic. Unfortunately, the stay was let down by a billing issue. Numerous charges were applied to the credit card provided solely as a holding deposit, and I had to contact the hotel repeatedly to have them investigated and rectified. This was frustrating and took away from what would otherwise have been an excellent experience. The hotel itself was wonderful, and the upgrade was much appreciated. However, the handling of the additional charges was disappointing and created unnecessary inconvenience. I hope the hotel reviews its payment and billing procedures to ensure that other guests do not have to chase repeatedly to resolve similar issues.
Excellent location close to everything, atmosphere perfect not noisy or quiet just right, rooms updated and clean, sheets crispy clean and fresh, service exceedingly up to par, there’s always someone to help. Getting to and from hotel breeze there’s valet and self parking. Will definitely come back again.
I went on a business trip with a coworker, there were a few issues at check in because we had prepaid with the business card. Kiara stepped up and handled it immediately!!!! She kept us updated throughout the process and made it such a smooth experience in a difficult time! Terrance at the front desk was amazing! Any issues I had or things I needed sent to my room he was on it! Such a professional. Quinten at the front door OMG! He was there every night just like he said he would be his energy and the greeting that you receive immediately after stepping out of your vehicle was on of a kind. Thank you so much to this staff for making my trip amazing and enjoyable ❤️ we need more people like this in the services business.
Location is great the views from room is great the restaurant has great food especially the breakfast and I loved the grits
Perfect location, large, clean room.
Long check in but was compensated
Great location, wonderful views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Price not bad for the Chicago loop.
We stayed 8 days in this hotel. The room itself wasn’t too comfortable. The bed was great. The chairs were uncomfortable. The closet was really small and awkward. The lighting was poor. I think if you’re there for a long weekend these things wouldn’t bother you.
Crystal, JT, Terrance and Rachel went out of the way to help me get my lullulemon package back because it was delivered in a different hotel really thank you so much with out there help my daughter would have lost her pack bag Thank you for you’re help and go out of you’re way to help me Rebeca
The breakfast was delicious the staff is very friendly the hotel rooms were clean the location was perfect and I would definitely go again!
The staff was excellent. We had a guest that broke her foot while we were walking to the hotel and the staff helped us find a wheelchair to rent. They were very accommodating and really made the trip a great experience. Arturo was awesome and we were hoping to thank him personally when we left but we missed him
Nothing that I can think of
Amazing location and views from the river facing rooms. The room was spacious and the bathrooms were large.
Shows its age especially corridors and creaking doors. Can hear the sound from other rooms a little. The Hoyt restaurant service and food was below par.
Que todo tiene cerca está en un buen lugar me encantó
Me gustó todo muy sastifecha en un año regreso con mi familia
Su ubicación
Worst hotel , very bad service , restaurant bad service every body are rude and the not care to give a bad servise
Very clean , location great, staff huge help

Todo excepcional; instalaciones, ubicación y trato del personal.
We have truly enjoyed our experience at the Royal Sonesta! Our room was spacious and CLEAN!! Marisol did a phenomenal job keeping our room spotless! The breakfast staff, and food quality were superb. Charles and Mika greeted and assisted us with the best energy and attentiveness! Also, may I tell you the grits were amaaaazing! My family and I have already decided with the exceptional hospitality and location we will definitely return!
Great location and very clean . Helpful staff

Great location right on the Riverwalk. Terrific staff: particularly Lucas (doorman who took very good care of us) and all of the housekeeping staff! Comfortable and quiet.
The hotel was situated in a very central area. The room was very spacious and clean with some very comfortable beds. The staff were all incredibly helpful throughout our stay.
Our room was superior, especially the view, we had amazing service and the people that helped us were so nice, I hope to go again, SHOUT TO LUCUS FIR BEING SO NICE AND HELPING US WITH BAGS AND MORE!
I am never going to get over this amazing vacation with the Royal Sonesta as our home base. Tiny but beautifully appointed lobby was the perfect spot for evening card games. Hoyt's was wonderful for breakfast every day. We were lucky enough to have Jose as our waiter all of our days there. He is the nicest man who remembered my son's order, including food allergy accomodations, after the first day. We stayed in the family suite. We had an Amex upgrade to the one bedroom suite but we declined, and I am so glad we did. I had no idea how big the family suite would be, but it surpassed any expectations I had. For the rate charged, it was truly a steal. The room has a wetbar area with a sink, fridge and coffee maker countertop. There is a large hallway and closet. The bathroom is spacious with a separate room for tub and toilet. Lots of shelf space and counter space here too, with a large standalone shower. There was a king bed and small sitting area. Around the corner is an alcove room with a table, lamp, chair, ottoman, television and two full size bunk beds. My teens were so happy with this space! There was a whole window wall in each bedroom area. We did not once feel crowded. I HIGHLY recommend this room to families. Did we have a nice view? No, but we took it all in on our excursions. Housekeeping was fantastic. The location is unbeatable. We only took an Uber to the Adler Planetarium. Everything else besides the Museum Campus was walkable. Great restaurants in River North, easy walk to see summer fireworks at Navy Pier, and about a 10 minute walk to Millenium Park/Cloud Gate. Architecture Boat Tour was across the street on the Riverwalk. Amazing! Sadly, the hotel right across isn't a sight everyone wants to see every day- I certainly did not- but alas, it's there. A bonus across the street, though, is the Big B Bus stop. You can get a hop on/hop off bus for all of Chicago there, or a $10 shuttle to Obama Presidential Center and Griffin Museum. So convenient! We had higher hopes for the gym. It is well equipped with weight equipment, though cardio machines and floor space are lacking. Only two treadmills, one elliptical, one bike. Water filler is great, as are the eucalyptus towels. It gets very busy between 7 and 9 am. Finally, Lucas the bellhop is a total star. He is so warm, friendly and helpful. What a pleasure it was to meet him. He made us feel welcome and at home. I wish I could live at this hotel. I look forward to staying at another Royal Sonesta in the future. It will have big shoes to fill!!
This hotel is absolutely spectacular! The views are amazing and the hotel gym rivals that of ones you will pay a fortune for. Make sure to stop by the bar and say hi to Charles & David and grab a fabulous cocktail!
Location is great. Food was limited but good. Quick stop to escape the rain. Drinks were good.
It was very clean, hotel employees were helpful, informative, and kind. I would definitely come here again. The location is WONDERFUL and I had the best time.
Everything was perfect
Great staff and service! Prime location! Beautiful scenery! Walking distance from a lot of different attractions and venues!
The people in front were really helpful late at night and staff really friendly!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The hotel itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is lovely, and our room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully maintained. What really stood out to us, though, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely lovely. A special mention has to go to Beyoncé and Synthia at the front desk, who were absolutely fantastic! They were always smiling, so helpful and always happy to have a chat. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made such a positive impression on us throughout our stay. It’s the little things like friendly faces and staff who genuinely make you feel at home that make a hotel stay so memorable, and the Royal Sonesta definitely got that right. The bellman was also incredibly helpful, taking care of our luggage and making everything so easy for us. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago! ❤️ Location also handy to centre.
Arturo and Dominique were help downstairs at the lobby and I really want to thank them a lot for their help!
I had nice dining experiences at the hotel restaurant. Sonya and Michael were professional and friendly. The hotel is lucky to have them!
We had a great experience here. Jose specifically was amazing and took great care of us!
Fabulous location! The restaurant food is great & Jose added his personal touch as our waiter. Our room service was top notch with Lynnette.
It can often be hard to find great, personable service in hotel restaurants, but every morning during our stay Jose made our experience incredible! A great server, wonderful barista and most importantly a lovely human being!
The best ever. I was treated like a king as I celebrated my Bday there.
Nothing at all.
For this kind of rates, one would expect some basic amenities in downtown Chicago but it was good overall. The location is amazing other than loud cars parked in front playing loud music at 03:00 am! But that is not the hotel’s fault. Try to get a higher room! Also, staring at the Trump sign across the river is also offensive! Just look down the river! But the people at the door were so nice (especially Lucas!!). The main lobby is small and crowded when check out occurs, everyone is waiting for their rides! Also, there was no ice machine on our floor so that seems not in line for the price one pays for a room each night! Also and most annoyingly, we like to have our own adult beverages at night. The little snack kiosk in the lobby never once had a Pepsi or Coke in stock for our entire visit. There are also NO vending machines anywhere close. My hubs had to put in clothes and go walk to a local 7-11! I know this sounds petty but when you get charged over $450 a night PLUS resort fees, one would think you could find a soda! Last, the beds and bathrooms were spotless and comfortable. Great shower! Would recommend but go shopping first!
Some hotels give you a room. The Royal Sonesta gives you front-row seats to one of the greatest city skylines on Earth. From the moment we opened the curtains, we spent far too much time just staring out of the window. Sunrise over the Chicago River? Spectacular. Sunset? Even better. Night-time, with the city lights reflecting off the water? It honestly looked like Gotham City had hired a better lighting designer. One evening we were treated to hundreds of motorcycles cruising along the river, lights flashing in every colour imaginable. It felt like we'd accidentally booked VIP seats for Chicago's own parade... without leaving the room. The location couldn't have been better. You're within walking distance of everything—Riverwalk, Magnificent Mile, theatres, bars, restaurants and enough deep-dish pizza to ensure your suitcase weighs more on the flight home. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean and had one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. Housekeeping kept everything immaculate, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed happy to help whenever we had a question. I also have to mention the windows. They are enormous. Every morning began with coffee in hand, watching the city wake up. Every evening ended with a drink by the window, watching the skyline come alive. We probably spent more time admiring the view than watching the television... which is saying something. The only downside? Every hotel after this now has an impossible job. "Nice garden view" just doesn't hit the same once you've watched boats glide along the Chicago River beneath you while the Marina City towers light up the skyline. If you're visiting Chicago, spend the little extra and ask for a high-floor river view. It's worth every single penny. Five stars without hesitation. We'd return in a heartbeat... although next time I may pack binoculars, as people-watching from that window should probably be classed as an Olympic sport.
Very friendly staff. Jose our waiter went above and beyond to serve us. Thank You. Take Care.
I ate at Holt’s twice and the food was exceptional and the service is impeccable. If you want a good dinner if breakfast with high quality and quick service, this is your spot.
A special thank you to Jose, Sonya and Charles for making my stay exceptional.
Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. One of the wait-staff in Hoyt’s would get a map and show customers how to get to their desired site. Rooms were clean and spacious. Many places to visit are within walking distance.
The lobby and atmosphere is a whole vibe! And Alexsia (sp?) was simply amazing and so incredibly friendly. The room was REALLY nice and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the restaurant was as well! I can’t wait to come back next year!!
The location and views from the room were unbelievable.
Convenient location, large rooms, comfortable beds
Ice machine on my floor didn’t work, bathroom smelled a little mildewy.
Amazing hotel conveniently located riverside in downtown Chicago. Extremely clean rooms with fantastic views. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. In particular, I want to recognize Lucas at the front door and his crew for their efforts in assisting with rides and bags. Great restaurant and other amenities. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends travelling to Chicago.
La habitación del hotel era muy amplia y con una gran vista, todo fue perfecto y muy comodo.
Ubicacion
Las cortinas del cuarto no cerraban completamente y entraba mucha luz en la noche.

Perfect location!
We booked a One Bedroom King Suite with a sofa bed for our family of three (my wife, our 23-year-old daughter, and me), paying approximately $950 for a two-night stay. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've ever had. When we entered the suite, we were surprised to discover there was no door separating the bedroom from the living room. Privacy was one of the main reasons we booked a one-bedroom suite rather than a studio. When we asked to be moved, the receptionist (also after asking in the backoffice) told us that all of the hotel's suites were designed this way. The manager repeated the same explanation, insisting this was standard and that the website never promised a separate bedroom with a door. As a frequent traveler, I explained that I have stayed in many suites around the world and have never encountered a one-bedroom suite without a separate bedroom. That's the distinction between a studio and a suite. We were initially offered two connecting queen rooms instead, but only if we paid the full rate of more than $1,100, without crediting the amount we had already paid for our suite. After asking the manager several times if there was truly nothing she could do, she finally checked the inventory again. Surprisingly, she found two suites with a different layout that DID have a door separating the bedroom and living room. This directly contradicted what both the receptionist and the manager had repeatedly told us. We accepted one of these rooms even though it lacked the river view we had booked and appeared to be a lower-category suite. The service issues continued. When we requested that the sofa bed be prepared for our daughter, housekeeping simply delivered bedding and pillows. I asked if someone could set it up while we were out for about an hour, but nobody came. I then called the front desk four times. During the final call, I was told that housekeeping had already left for the day (at around 6:00 p.m.) and that preparing sofa beds was not their policy anyway because "you already have everything you need." For a hotel charging nearly $1,000 for a suite, expecting guests to make up their own sofa bed is difficult to understand. The bathroom had its own issues. Neither the bathtub nor the shower allowed the water temperature to be adjusted properly, the water was consistently scalding hot. On top of that, the shower and sink pressure was so weak that rinsing shampoo from your hair or soap from your hands took far longer than it should have. Lastly, the wire of the hairdryer was about a foot long which makes it almost impossible drying your hair. We also found some belongings left behind by the room's previous guests lying between the two seats in the dining area. The room itself also did not reflect the "recently renovated" description advertised on the hotel's website. While "recently" is a relative term, our suite felt dated and showed noticeable signs of wear. To be fair, not everything about our stay was negative. The lobby staff outside of reception were consistently friendly and helpful, the housekeeping staff we met in the hallway were kind and accommodating, and the hotel restaurant was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and evening drinks there. Unfortunately, the poor handling of our concerns by the front desk and hotel management overshadowed the positives. The hotel's website proudly states, "Long Live the Guest at The Royal Sonesta." Sadly, that was not our experience. For the price we paid, the value simply wasn't there. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.
The city/river view was awesome. Thank you! Bed very comfortable and the bathroom was big and clean.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel with very spacious guest rooms in a prime location on the Riverwalk. We got lucky with a 2 Queen bed corner room on a high floor, and the views were spectacular. Room was spotlessly clean & the hotel provides daily housekeeping services. The hotel restaurant is also excellent and has seating inside and out.
Great location and rooms were quite nice. I had a one bedroom suite and it was like living in an apartment. It was clean (carpet in bedroom could use a deep shampoo to remove a few small stains) and very well appointed. Black out curtains truly were black out which I appreciate. Staff was excellent and getting help was always very easy. When making and changing my reservations, Crysta and Faleel were extremely helpful and knowledgable. Note to future guests---never use the reservation line---when calling the hotel number, hit "zero" so you get people on site at the hotel. They know the property and can help much better. I spent time with general reservations confirming my room type, and he told me I unfortunately did not have what I was guaranteed previously by an on-site staffer. Bed---I had a king bed and it was very comfortable. I usually don't sleep well in hotels at all price ranges because most mattresses are very soft, or have no edge support. The bed in my room was solid, firm and yielding when I slept on my side. They have Keurig coffee makers in the room; I'm quite picky about my coffee and never care for ANY Keurig pod, no matter who makes it. Surprise---the particular brand they had at this hotel was delicious. Both regular and decaf pods. The housekeeping staff was consistent and helpful. They didn't mind if I spoke to them in the hallway when they were working on other rooms, and if I asked for something, they gave it to me, instead of appearing apprehensive that they shouldn't be handing out a water bottle or a coffee pod. As mentioned, the location could not be better, and it's worth the extra money to get a river view. Highly recommend.
Son emplacement, son personnel !
Rien
The location was purrfect (reference to Hello Kitty Cafe just opened 2 doors down)! The view from the rooms was great, the riverwalk was fun, and everything we wanted to do and see was within walking distance. The Hoyt food was good. Drinks were ok, but I think the menu was messed up the one evening we went. ALL of the staff were super nice and accommodating. Providing bottled water was an unexpected bonus. The only downside was it was warm in the room. They moved us once, but it was still warm.
We have been to Chicago many times but first time at Royal Sonesta. We have stayed at Sonesta in other cities. This will be our go to hotel. The river view was amazing. Service at the bar was top notch. Michael was our bartender and the reason we kept stopping in for cocktails. The front desk was friendly and always helpful, housekeeping accommodating, as was the bell service. The room was large and comfortable. The location was within walking distance to just about anywhere, including Union Station if traveling by train.
- big rooms w/ comfy beds and great views - location, location, location
- breakfast was a difficult experience; sometimes we weren‘t being sat at tables although they were open, and service was very slow (though very nice)
Hermosa vista y el ambiente muy acogedor
The location
Shower was broken no clean sheets since the day we checked in.
Location
Staff had Incredible lack of social skills
Location was amazing! Clean
My husband and I were there for our anniversary. I booked a king room with views and we got a basic double queen. When we asked they said they upgraded us to that room. Because it was a higher floor. But the room didnt really seem like a upgrade when thats not what we wanted at all. They said the house keepers had left so couldn't switch us. On top of that the room was very warm.
The propert was fine until we were charged over $300 dollars in hidden fees. We were accused of drinking water and eating snacks and purchasing from the marketplace. We didn’t do any of the above and there wasn’t even a “marketplace” on site. We were also charged $240 dollars for valet parking when we didn’t even have a car!

The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect and the view was absolutely amazing! Arturo was very helpful with the luggage.
Amazing view of the river from our room! Lovely modern hotel room with comfortable beds. Staff were professional.
At the 4pm check-in our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait in the crowded foyer for quite a while for an available room, this then meant we were late to our concert 😢. They did end up upgrading our room from a city to a river view which was nice but we would have preferred a seamless and timely check in to avoid being late.
Location
Housekeeping not cleaning the room everyday.
Had a delicious breakfast this morning. The cinnamon roll waffle was tasty. The bagel, perfectly toasted. Also, good coffee. Service was pleasant and attentive thanks to Joseph and Charles B!

We are so happy and so impressed by Royal Sonesta! They truly made our 6 days there (06/17-06/22) very special!! From the minute our taxi dropped us off, Arturo was there in a flash to help us with our heavy baggage up the curb and then the 5 steps up to the entrance and on to our room. He showed us where to go and took us to the check-in desk. He said to never hesitate to ask him for help during our stay and we did not hesitate for 6 days. He was always there for us and when he saw us get out of the elevator, he hurried to help us by calling an Uber or taxi, whichever was the quickest for us. Arturo was simply amazing the whole time and was very appreciated by us the entire time. At the check-in desk, we were helped by Jesse, another outstanding employee at RS! He found the best room for us on the 28th floor and we will always be grateful to him for how beautiful it was and what a fantastic view it had. It was actually a suite with a view of the Chicago River and the Riverwalk. The giant King bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There was a microwave and a small fridge in the room. Spacious and very clean!! They are also located near Millennium Park where the Bean is. Jesse made our vacation a dream come true! Some of the highlights about this wonderful hotel are that pets are allowed, there is a 24-hour fitness facility, parking, wifi, a breakfast restaurant/lounge downstairs: Hoyts, and is centrally located to all the best tourist spots. We couldn't believe our luck. And their rates are very reasonable for what you receive. Believe me, I compared. I could go on and on about the amenities here but I'll let you find out for yourself.
I absolutely love this hotel!! When I arrived at the hotel, a beautiful scent hit my nose that was MESMERIZING! It smells like a fresh garden of flowers. Check in was quick and easy..I reserved the city view and was placed on the 35th floor. The room was Spotless!! The views was just ok...but its what I paid for. We had a refrigerator in our room, complimentary water & coffee which was a pleasant surprise. This hotel is located in the heart of Chicago. The river walk is steps away from the hotel. The Big Bus is directly across the street and you can walk to Navy Pier from the hotel. Michigan Ave, Starbucks, plenty of restaurants, Theatre district, Drunk Shakespeare are within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cons: Vallet Parking was $80 a night, if this is a issue use Spot Hero which will save you $50 or more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago
For our anniversary, they upgraded us to a suite and made our Stat unforgettable

The hotel is in a prime location. The views are amazing. The staff was very accommodating and professional. I absolutely enjoyed my stay here and would definitely book again.
Did not stay here but ate at Hoyt’s for breakfast and sat at the bar. Michael was awesome! Kind, on it with the drinks and gave us great recs for to dos around Chicago.
We had the best experience and everyone was very helpful and friendly to us the entire time. We particularly appreciated the assistance and recommendations we received from Lucas, starting from the day we arrived to the day we left. The location is perfect because the area is so walkable. We walked practically everywhere and will definitely book our next stay at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown.
me gustó el formato tipo studio, con sala y cocina. Me gustó que el baño estuviera afuera de la recámara.
Thanks to receptionist or the front desk girl name CANDICE. On june/30 around afternoon 12-1 we checked in. She was so sweet and nice. This was our first vacation after few years. We loved and enjoyed out stay. Everything was perfect bed, lights, bathroom the way its designed. And main thing is the riverwalk view. We could not take our eyes off from the window. My fac part of the room is that it has seprate kinda private entrance to the room which shows shoes and cloths one side and bedroom stays still private with the wall. Thanks again for the room candice. Thanks the royal sonesta. Hope to come again soon.
Everything
Room was by the elevator other than that everything was great
Die Lage ist perfekt, direkt am Chicago-River und River-walk. Bars, Restaurants und Geschäfte in der Nähe, unmittelbar vor dem Hotel startet die Hop-on-hop-off-Tour.
The staff were so helpful and kind! Antonio was so sweet to us and our family!
The location was convenient for a first time visitor. The proximity to a lot of popular attractions was perfect for short walks. Access to Hoyts was a great amenity to have. Beds are comfortable.
The AC doesn't appear to be strong enough for the suite. Also the shower head was a bit faulty.
It was in the middle of everything. The staff were nice. Super clean
it didn’t get cold enough in the room. I’d wake up sweating
Zuwenig Ruhe.
Amazing stay. The staff was great and went above and beyond! Lucas helped us get a less expensive ride to the airport. All the gentleman in the front were helpful and friendly. Always greeting us and giving us tips for our trip. Rooms were very clean and you have walking access to great parts of the city. I highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel overlooking Riverwalk in a lot of walkable places. Mika, Charles & Carlos great bartenders gave us great "where to go" "who to go with" tips. Arturro helped w bags good guy. All staff friendly, courteous, helpful
We originally booked a suite at the Magnificent Mile Eurostar... but the customer service was an absolute turn off.. couldn't immediately reach anyone for hotel inquiries, delayed responses. Our travel agent found Sonesta. This place is far more convenient than the other place. The rooms are nice, customer service.. all top notch. No microwave in the room, called down one was delivered, no robes.. called down 2 were delivered.. plus this stay costed far less... everything else perfect. Always ask for Arturo he is the absolute best!
Great location and wonderful personnel
Food was very good, nice calm atmosphere! David was very sweet and Charles was nice and helpful. Thank you for the great service.
Upon arrival at The Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown i forgot a bag in the cab which contained my phone passport and heart medication that I must have the staff at the hotel went to work and thru much effort on their part were able to get my bag returned to me they went above and beyond. I would like to thank Crystal, Angie and Arturo for your dedication to your guests . Royal Sonesta you should be proud to have people like them to represent your hotel . Thank you all you turned a bad situation into a great experience i will remember for years to come. Bob Brown Montana State Lottery Director
I have stayed at many hotels in Chicago especially downtown but The Royal Sonesta is by far the absolute best! From the moment you pull up and are greeted by the Bell Men, Arturo happens to be my favorite. He goes above and beyond what is probably expected of him. The people at the front desk are top tier. The rooms and the upgrades are phenomenal! The cleanliness and spaciousness of the room are another plus. Last but not least LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! I recommend The Royal Sonesta over and over and over again.
We had a wonderful experience at the Royal Sonesta. The location is fantastic. Our room was spacious and beautiful with a full river view. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant are both very nice. We've stayed at many hotels in Chicago over the years but I think we've found a new favorite.
