The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location could not be any better.

The only small downside is I got a interconnecting room (the one that has an internal door connecting to the other room) and you can hear the neighbours very clearly.

The room was very clean and the staff are nice. The shower is good but this is not a good place to stay for a trip with someone who is not your long term partner or small child as the shower opens straight up to the room. No place to dry off other than on display.

The shampoo and body wash were almost out when we checked in and they only gave us two towels. The bed is VERY soft. They give a time share speech and try to get you to do it, luckily I texted ahead and asked to opt out and they obliged. I do not think any four star hotel should be giving anyone a sales pitch when they just want a place to sleep for a trip.

The roof top happy hour was nice but it would have been nice to be able to use that space outside of happy hour. Maybe just lock up the bar, put a coffee machine up there and let your guests enjoy the views. Especially as there is NOWHERE to sit in the lobby if one wants to chill or check something The furniture is tatty but they said it was going to be replaced soon . Other hotels I have stayed at use that roof terrace space very effectively

Me cobraron 80 dólares extra por un evento que había por unos partidos de softball (al cual no asistí). Esto fue obligatorio. Deberían avisar con antelación y ser optativo. Incluía un “brunch” quien no era más que huevo revuelto recalentado, salchichas y pan. Y jugó solo si te dabas cuenta que había que pedirle a los meseros.

They don’t currently have a lobby area, staff was overly aggressive to sell memberships, sales was supposed to be 90 minutes but I spent almost five hours, thus I could not do my final day plans.

That they don’t provide cleaning to the room and towels like they’re suppose to. I had to request every time and it was very slow and had to follow up for them to follow through.

I couldn't say enough good things about my experience at this hotel; from the very first moment, the staff was wonderful and friendly, and communication was quick and efficient. Elana was so kind, as was the entire afternoon shift staff. I was visiting Chicago with children for the first time, and although I don't consider Chicago to be a particularly kid friendly city, the hotel staff certainly were.

We weren't able to visit the hotel's top-floor because it is only open Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM; I really don't understand this policy, given that you go to Chicago and pay for a downtown hotel specifically to enjoy the views. There was an event taking place during our stay, and we were only notified 40 minutes beforehand; I would have liked to know about it the day before.

The property was a great location in the downtown area. Nice complementary drinks, but the hours were not so good for the roof rooftop.

The rooftop hours, I understand that they’re located right downtown with plenty of food places around, but it doesn’t state that they do not have food on their property

Location, rooftop views, historical building LOVE the rooftop and the views, guest exclusive access, complimentary happy hour, the storage and bathroom area, the sit down makeup table, the vintage SMEG cooler, the customer service, La 'Tisa and Darrell made it so comfortable to come in to plus the texting leading up to the trip was amazing. They even surprised us with an anniversary hotel gift and I was SO wowed, that was a first for us and we didn't even ask for it! They checked us in early which was huge and the staff was genuinely so kind, it was such a shocker coming from Nashville where good service is so hard to find! I will highly recommend this place, the convenience to the train and walkable pretty much anywhere you want to go

how close the cooler was to the bed, i kept knocking into it. the room is super tiny, but to have the space you do for the bathroom and "get ready" area made up for it!

Top 3 things: Service, rooftop views, cool historical building LOVE the rooftop and the views, the guest exclusive accessto it so it's not overcrowded and feels super VIP. The games and the complimentary happy hour add such a cool touch! Regarding the room: the storage and bathroom area was a healthy size and I loved the sit down makeup table and the size of the sinks so it was easy to share the space! It's in an old bank building so the elevators and original decor is super cute and you can still see the vibe from the Virgin hotel in the rooms, so it meshes well. The vintage SMEG cooler was convenient and cute but more than anything, the customer service La 'Tisa and Darrell (and you, too Mohamed!) provided made it so comfortable to come in to plus the texting leading up to the trip made it feel so personal eeeeven if it's an auto text and me replying like I'm texting a friend. The biggest part was they surprised us with an anniversary hotel gift and I was SO wowed, that was a first for us and we didn't even ask for it! They checked us in early which was huge and the staff was genuinely so kind, it was such a shocker coming from Nashville where good service is so hard to find! Will be fun to try the one here when it opens but I'll definitely be going back to this when I visit. I don't understand the reviews that complained about noise, it's a CITY. If you're looking for an all inclusive service hotel, this is not for you, but if you're like us and love to eat and drink and explore the city, this is a perfect way to make that happen, esp with that fridge! I will highly recommend this place, the convenience to the train and it's so walkable pretty much anywhere you want to go. Lastly, those homemade chocolate chip cookies....ALWAYS choose that when you have that option. I always felt safe and secure and loved that it wasn't overcrowded feeling.

The check in process took well over an hour at midnight. I had to wait 20 minutes just for the check in attendant to arrive and then another 45 minutes wait time. Unacceptable! Especially for a room that I paid $500 to sleep(occupy) for five hours

La llegada y todo Cuando llegamos nuestra primera atencion con un joven muy pero muy amable. Esta al centro de todo, solo llegar y caminar porque todo estaba muy cerca. El Hotel es maravilloso muy lindo en el piso un caballero siempre nos preguntaba si necesitábamos algo y hablaba español. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y las camas fueron lo mejor el descanso perfecto a pesar de estar en el centro no había ruido al dormir.

The room layout was very comfortable. I loved the vanity / bathroom and the privacy of the bedroom. Very comfortable and luxurious for the price! I also loved the free yoga on the roof!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is in the heart of downtown Chicago, making it the perfect location to explore the city. Our room was modern, comfortable, and offered beautiful views from the 20th floor. One of our favorite perks was the complimentary food and drinks served daily on the 26th-floor lounge. Although the resort is currently undergoing renovations and has limited on-site amenities, its central location more than makes up for it. We were within walking distance of Millennium Park, the Flyover Chicago experience, Navy Pier, and many excellent restaurants and attractions. Our only downside was the $79 daily parking fee. Looking back, we would have skipped the rental car and simply taken an Uber from the airport. If you enjoy live jazz, don't miss Winter's Jazz Club. We had an incredible evening listening to Better Together. We've traveled extensively around the world and appreciate great jazz, and this group was among the best we've heard. Chicago also exceeded our expectations. On our first day, we took the subway to a Cubs vs. White Sox game and experienced firsthand the city's passion for baseball. While Chicago often gets attention for crime, our visit gave us a very different impression. We felt comfortable exploring the city, and everywhere we ate, the food was outstanding. We can't wait to return!

The timeshare certificates or vouchers they offer are not worth the time . Its for the cheapest room and can't be used on the weekends. Its also has to be used at one time . Your also required to pay two sets of fees. Beware. Dont waste your time. They dont help with parking. I had to pay 50 bucks. Not even a discount

Slow check in service which was painful after 14 hours travelling. The place is in a good location but it’s very dated and basic and bad views of the city. Limited amenities in the room and the rooms are not serviced so you have to ask if you need anything. Staff are friendly and nice. It was ok for our short stay but over priced for what you get.

Loud noises (people) in the hallway through the night plus the elevated train tracks too close to the building made for a difficult night’s sleep.

The property is dated and lacked upkeep. The shower was very nice but only had a scalding setting. Lots of chips in the flooring, paint and the front desk was weirdly set up. Lots of little attempted amenities but ultimately a letdown. For example, you got a free coffee but only for one morning per stay with no substitutes - including hot tea, free breakfast buffet but it was hotel eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. Nothing more and it sat atop a bar with paper plates. Free water but only two then you had to refill the bottles provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel just falls short of expectations.

I loved the location and the bed was super comfortable. They even had a Happy Birthday bag with wine waiting on me. The receptions during the day were wonderful also.

The free coffee in the coffee bar on site was terrible. It was the worst coffee I have ever had.

We had a one-bedroom corner suite, which gave us a view of the Chicago river. The location of the hotel is outstanding. We enjoyed having the sitting area, the coffee machine with excellent coffee, and the spacious bathroom area with double sinks, walk-in shower and lots of natural light. We were celebrating our anniversary and received a really fun anniversary gift, which was a thoughtful gesture. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful (although not all of the information they offered was accurate).

No lobby area (only a check in desk) or other common area to hang out in. It would be nice if the top floor area was open all of the time, even if not serving refreshments. That area needs to be serviced (cleaned) better. I also did not like the fact that there was no maid service and found calling for towels and trash removal daily annoying.

First- an excellent location. The SI Resort appears to be a fresh operation: the staff was fantastic and a really over-the-top happy hour that became a must-do. The rooms are very funky (?): odd layouts, original decorations, a bit retro.

Quite pricey (but maybe not by Chicago standards). There are few amenities.

This hotel, unfortunately is a scam. They will not service your room for stays under 10 days which is outrageous. This information is not disclosed when booking nor to travel agents know it. This is no longer a forest. Our hotel amenities include coffee at a coffee shop and a standard hotel gym. This is not a resort. I would not recommend staying here.

We had 2 free nights from Wyndham Rewards and picked this hotel. The Sports Illustrated Resort is under new management and currently making improvements. The room we checked into was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and had a neat rain type shower. It had 2 sinks and a vanity for my daughter to get ready in the morning. The highlight of our stay was the free drinks and games at the rooftop bar from 3pm-7pm. We enjoyed playing shuffleboard, pool, and air hockey all while relaxing and looking at the city on the rooftop. My only wish was that the rooftop bar was open later! It would be cool to see the city at night from up there. Overall, it was a nice comfortable stay in a good location.

Desde que Sports Illustrated asumió la gestión del hotel a finales de 2025, esperaba encontrar unas instalaciones renovadas y un servicio mejorado. En cambio, encontré un hotel descuidado, anticuado y con una clara falta de atención al huésped. Los principales problemas fueron: • Aunque la ubicación es buena, el hotel está junto a las vías elevadas del metro. Las habitaciones están razonablemente insonorizadas, pero el ruido de los trenes sigue siendo perceptible. • La recepción es extremadamente pequeña, oscura y poco acogedora para un edificio de 25 plantas. • En el check-in informan de que la limpieza de habitaciones solo se realiza bajo petición. Sin embargo, incluso solicitándola tanto desde la habitación como en recepción, nunca se realizó. Tras tres días de estancia, la basura estaba llena y la habitación acumulaba suciedad. • Además, el hotel informa de que no hacen la cama durante la estancia. No hablo de cambiar las sábanas, sino simplemente de hacer la cama, algo difícil de justificar en un hotel que cobra más de $350 por noche. • El problema más grave fue la falta de agua caliente. Durante los tres días de mi estancia tuve que contactar con recepción para que revisaran la incidencia. A veces funcionaba y otras no; ducharse con agua caliente era una auténtica lotería. En resumen, el hotel no está a la altura de su categoría ni de su precio. Hay muchas mejores opciones en Chicago por un coste similar.

the happy hour drinks and snacks were such a fun add to the hotel so you weren't having to go out for a meal 3 times in a day. It let us spend out time doing city activities instead of just eating. We had some great Italian beef sandwiches and a nice breakfast buffet. Water pressure and toiletries were excellent. Bed was super comfortable. Room was quiet.

The lobby is pretty dark and doesn't have a gathering place for guests. You can see Trump from our window. boo. the hotel seemed rather empty, and yet there were guests right next door to us. You could hear them opening and closing their door many times through our closed doors. It wasn't that disturbing, but it seems like it would have been easy to accommodate more privacy. Unless of course, the view of Trump is a highlight.

لا يوجد خدمة تنظيف غرف، ولكن اذا احتجت فوط او أي شيء يوفرونه لك فوراً، واذا سكنت عندهم احرص انك تبعد عن الجهة اللي فيها القطار لأن صوته مزعج جداً

The property has recently been taken over by Sports Illustrated and is currently undergoing renovation and rebranding, which was communicated during my stay - not before. At present, the lobby feels worn, dark, and quite small, with no seating areas. It does not yet reflect the standard or atmosphere the hotel appears to be aiming for. My main concern is the price. Given the current condition of the hotel, the rates felt high and very close to premium pricing than the overall experience justified. I fully understand that improvements take time, but during a transition period like this, I would have expected more competitive pricing. That said, the hotel shows promise, and I believe it could become a very attractive place to stay once the renovation and transformation are completed.

En definitiva la ventaja de este hotel es la ubicación, y ya que se encuentra en el centro de Chicago.

Odd that we had to use our room key to go down to the lobby - just inconvenient vs a problem. Would have liked a restaurant in the building but lots of food choices right around the corner.

The location of the hotel was excellent for tourist spots. The room was comfortable, was a reasinable size and had a very comfy bed. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There is no maid service. We stayed for 6 nights and the room wasn't cleaned. You had to request to get rubbish removed and get clean towels or sheets. We had to put the clean sheets on the bed ourselves and the dirty towels and sheets were just piled in the room. I dont think this aspect of the hotel is clear on the website and I woikd probably have booked somewhere else if id understood this. We had no hot water on our last day and while these things can happen and we were given the key to another room to shower, our phone didn't work and we had to visit reception to report the issue which they already knew about. I'd have expected the hotel to inform us of the issue.
