The breakfast has a lot of pork options but limited beef or chicken as well as the egg omelette cooking station has mixed ingredients including port cooked in the same frying fan with those without pork. For us muslims it is not allowed

I liked that the hotel has so many malls and restaurants around

The service was very disappointing. We requested a crib for my 10-month old baby and what they gave us was obviously not cleaned or washed properly because the beddings of the crib had a strong cat urine smell. We reported it and it seemed they didn’t even looked into it they just provided a replacement crib and it took 2 hours so it arrived around 12 midnight. The worst part was that it’s very dusty. We reported it the next day since it was late already and again, they replaced it with another dusty crib. Aside from this, the bathtub still had some hair and dirt in it so we didn’t use it.

**Run-down, poorly managed and nowhere near a five-star standard** Let’s be honest: this hotel is old, dated and falling apart. It is trading on its name and reputation, but the reality does not match either. The room had a pleasant view, but that was the only genuinely good thing about it. The refrigerator made such a horrible noise that we had to complain and have it replaced. The air conditioning did not work properly and produced an unpleasant smell. The room had received only a superficial clean and was nowhere near the standard expected of a supposedly high-quality hotel. Room service was extremely slow. When the food finally arrived, it was bland, poorly presented and nothing like proper hotel-standard food. Breakfast was just as bad. The eggs and omelettes appeared to have been cooked well in advance, were poorly prepared and were not being kept at the correct temperature. Worse still, after eating the omelette, I subsequently became ill with food poisoning. This turned an already unacceptable breakfast into a genuine health issue. The restaurant was the worst part of the experience. It looked tired and was physically deteriorating. The waitresses were inattentive, repeatedly ignored us and seemed more interested in talking among themselves than serving paying guests. The food was so bad that I sent it back. There is no polite way to describe it—it was unacceptable. The hotel was also constantly noisy, with people arriving and departing throughout the night. It felt like an overnight transit stop rather than a quality international hotel. Compared with the excellent standards we have experienced in Hong Kong and Shanghai, this hotel was an embarrassment. It requires a complete refurbishment, properly trained staff, competent management and a serious overhaul of its food service. This was not a minor disappointment. It was a thoroughly poor hotel experience, and I would not recommend staying or dining here in its present condition.

Location was convenient to visit around Makati. The hotel is a bit dated and some updates are required. Room was spacious and staff were all friendly and helpful as expected.

I really liked the location and overall cleanliness of the property. It’s within walking distance of the malls and conveniently located not too far from the airport. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were accommodating, especially with our request for connecting rooms. My family also really enjoyed the buffet because there was a wide variety of food to choose from.

There’s a smell on the room so we asked to be moved. They moved us but it was still the sane problem. Also we just hit back from the province and had a long journey. Had to wait gif a while gif out room to be ready. They asked us to wait in the lobby

Privacy? I guess. We can hear the hotel guest in the other room. Another thing happens also when we had our spa, while having foot massage someone open the door without knocking or asking if someone is inside.

From the warm, genuinely sincere staff to the efficient room maintenance, every aspect of our stay was top-tier. Customer support was incredibly attentive, and the hotel car service was delightfully prompt. An absolute 5-star experience overall!

Pour notre dernier jour de notre périple aux Philippines, nous nous sommes fait plaisir en passant notre dernière nuit dans ce somptueux hôtel. 1 chambre pour moi et mon mari et une 2ième chambre pour mes 2 grands ados. Tout était parfait. La chambre avec la vue sur la ville (on était au 26ième étage), le lit hyper confortable et très grand, le standing haut de gamme de l'hôtel de manière général, le personnel très gentils, serviable. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était impressionnant; Il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts. La taille de la piscine. On peut y faire ses longueurs sans problème. La salle de sport très bien équipé avec vue sur la verdure.

Dommage que la partie hammam, spa ne soit pas mixte. Impossible d'y aller avec son mari. Du coup seul c'est moins drôle. Le sauna chez les femme ne fonctionnait pas, dommage.

Booking said all rooms had a coffee machine but when I spoke to reception they said only for the Horizon Rooms, but booking.com info shows available for all rooms I used the ladies room in the Circles restaurant at breakfast, was surprised to see the cleaning roster stuck to the back of the door with tape! Didn’t expect something so basic in this type of property

The welcome hostess and receptionists were marvelous. After a sleepless journey they brought warmth, kindness and help. Ajay at reception helped daily from check-in to check-out. Hostesses Teressa and Gwen gave cheerful chat and good advice about the local area. The concierge guys helped with luggage and finding a grab car to leave to airport. Circle restaurant team and the cafe also very friendly and helpful. I'd love to stay and work from here again.

Breakfast buffet is really good. Located at the heart of Makati. You can walk to visit the nearby Ayala Museum and if you got tired of staying inside, you can explore the malls near the hotel. It feels luxurious in the lobby but staying in the room is very quiet and feels good to have a comfortable bed in the middle of the busy city. Our room at the 23rd floor offers a fantastic view of the city and the skyscrapers surrounding the hotel. The city view is perfect at the pool area too.

Central location in Makati, Facilities are great, Staff at the Horizon Club are very attentive and friendly.

The 24 hour room service did not work and nobody answered the phone. The app also did not work.

Hotel personnel and staff were the best! Food was superb. The Horizon Club service was warm and accommodating.

The Lobby food resto was limited and pricey for what they delivered.

Our family have an excellent experience with Mr. Joemar, the person who assisted as throughout our dine-in experience at Circle, Shangri-La Makati along with his co-workers. At this place, you will find yourself loving the food quality, excellent service, great venue, and so much more. That said, whenever you have time, make sure to come visit Shangri-la Circle with your family, friends, co-worker, and more.

The Shangri-La Makati is a beautiful hotel. hen you first walk in the lobby is grand and dramatic with huge fresh flower arrangements. The front desk and bell staff are very attentive and friendly. The valet parking is a third party company so that process can seem a bit disjointed. The room was lovely well arranged and very clean. The decor is a bit on the bland side (a sea of beige) but still felt luxurious. I do want to point out a few issues that could use improvement. First there is no detachable hand wand in the shower a minor inconvenience unless you really need it. The services are all accessible from a QR code located in the room. However, there are real shortcomings with the online system. For example, we are heavy in-room dining users. The menu has many dishes representative of Filipino, Chinese , Malaysian and Indonesian cuisines. The problem is that there were no descriptions at all to describe what a dish was or even what was served alongside the various dishes. The breakfast menu was just OK not a great variety. There was also no way to order coffee from this menu. We ended up calling to order. When we did get our order it was missing quite a few items. There was only one coffee cup for two people. They have no artificial sweetener except Stevia. Cream for coffee is non existent. They brought me powdered Coffee-Mate packages. No butter despite ordering a basket of Croissants and Pancakes and the syrup was just liquid sugar with no maple syrup flavor at all. The young lady that took our order had no idea how many cups of coffee were in a small or large coffee pot. She was very friendly but again, we had no idea what to order. Overall still a positive experience but a few items need to be improved. The luxury hotel space is hyper competitive and the details can shift brand allegiance after just one stay.

We did not stay at Shangri-La this time. But we decided to eat breakfast at Shangri-La. The whole experience was wonderful. Food selections are available excellent. There are offering to suit everyone's taste. The waitstaff were accommodating. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La. When the staff found out it was my mother’s 85th birthday, they surprised us with a cake and balloons in our room, which was such a thoughtful touch. The reception team was also very accommodating and arranged a room closer to the lift, making it much more convenient for my elderly mother. Excellent service and genuine hospitality. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
